soapdate: not a disaster! Definitely got some issues, and I had to do a lot of trimming to get them looking even remotely presentable, but that's soap babey.

the scent was originally meant to be orange and patchouli. Citrus scents never stick around very well, so I've seen advice to anchor it with a deeper scent that'll linger better. Unfortunately... that just made this soap patchouli-scented. If I close my eyes and picture an orange in my mind I can catch a fleeting glimpse of something that might be mistaken as citrus, but that's it.

But hey, there's orange zest in it! And it didn't explode during the gelling process! I think it gelled? I did bad science and don't have a control group unfortunately. I've gotta set some aside next time as a comparison. It certainly hardened up quickly, though, it was the perfect hardness to demold and cut.
