• she typically is the voice of reason amongst the Buggy pirates, even if she's airheaded and naive. But sometimes, she has trouble being the voice of reason.

• No-one ever sees her cry; at least, no stranger has. Only those she's closet to have.

• she hates being seen as inferior or just a pretty face due to being a woman that happens to be a pirate.

(To her, being seen as JUST a pretty face = being a useless individual)

• At first, she strongly disliked Alvida, but after a while of knowing her (and knowing Alvida isn't interested in Buggy(cough cough, jealousy)) the two eventually became decent friends.

• post-timeskip Soleil has Buggy's older jacket/coat because he gave it to her as both a form of deep trust but also because she'd asked one day if he'd ever let her wear it, to which - since he no longer wore it - he did let her.

I have a couple questions that are maybe out of the norm.

Do you enjoy other media containing robots? Movies, games etc? (I'm wondering if it's okay to send you neat robot stuff that isn't part of the fnaf side of things, it's okay if no)

I was also wondering if becoming a public figure has also has its downsides. You get so many sweet and wonderful messages that you absolutely deserve

But do you ever get like, really mean and weird stuff too? I imagine that once you get a little public, the strangest kind of people appear

I love other. By that, I mean anything that is beyond human but is sentient and emotional (even if it may be hard to find on the surface). Robots definitely count in that category, as well as aliens, monsters, fae, ghosts, mermaids, and what-have-you. I especially love the other paired with a human. It's so wonderful and interesting to me as well as exploring humanity and love on different levels. That expands to movies, shows, books, and games! ♥ I'm not interested in robot stuff that's not part of FNAF specifically, but thanks for asking.

As for weird or mean messages, I will get something on the occasion that has me deleting or blocking. I haven't encountered anything outright mean *knock on wood* but there were a few inappropriate asks that were NSFW sexual or gory with no warning that would give me anxiety. I've since stopped opening tiktok links because of that. Sometimes I'll receive, what I assume, are unintended backhanded compliments (ie your writing is good enough), and while I try not to look for malice where there is none, it brings back a lot of issues for me from my previous fandom that almost made me quit writing, so I just don't respond to such things.

For the most part, however, I really do have a lot of cool and nice people leaving messages in my inbox and I'm very grateful. I actually enjoy that I'm not so popular because I feel that attracts unwanted attention.

I know who that team black tiktoker who was mad at Gayle being cast and at team green for not bashing her as well is but to be honest she's one of those users who are always stirring up shit online and, in fact, team black stans on twitter called her out immediately when she made that video thinking she's a green Aemond stan. Also we should remember there are team black Aemond fangirls out there, quite a lot actually? The types who've been writings hundreds of Aemond x OC fics in which he's always betraying his family for Rhaenyra's daughter and Alicent is the worst mother ever who's abusive to him and shit like this. Most of them were as disappointed as the Al*s/Al*smond stans (who're supposedly team green but in fact only care about the ship) and were either saying bad stuff about the actress' looks and or making backhanded compliments that "she's okay but not what I was expecting". Overall, most of the 'hate' the actress got was from them. Alys stans only warmed up to Gayle because they're literally have no other choice but to do so. Targ stans did the same thing when Emma was cast and bashed their looks only to become fans later on. Matt received some pretty awful comments as well from those people. And it's mostly because they expected actors who are conventionally beautiful and set their expectations too high because of those yassified fan arts of the characters in question. Pretty much the same thing is happening with Alys and Gayle because they wanted someone like Jessica Findlay or Katie McGrath. They will stan the actress now however I predict they will slowly drop their support for the character when the show won't make Al*smond the love story they think it is.

yeah, i agree there's been a lot of awful behaviour all around. i, and the anon, were just focusing on team green actors because while someone like matt certainly got their share of hate, they're also a very loved actor with plenty of support and the online medium for someone like him isn't the same as for emily carey or tom glynn carney, y know? the team black fanbase is entirely bigger and very prone to hate on actors or take hate too far and these team green actors, including well known ones such as olivia, don't have the same support as matt smith does, y know? and they deserve to be able to enjoy this experience without the stans taking things too far.

when it comes to team black actors hate, i especially feel bad for emma because they got plenty of fucked up comments that were rooted in misogyny, a lot if not most of them from the same people who now claim they love them.

of course ultimately i feel bad for any actor having negative experience just because of a job they did. and i hope the fandom improves in this but i very much doubt that. i think it will be worse and worse. and like the other anon said i fear how that's gonna reflect on green actors especially.

What's it been like, self-publishing? Apparently I screwed myself over by registering the copyright on my novel drafts before showing them to people, and frankly I don't enjoy the scammishness of publishing from what I've seen happen to people I know. I want to self-publish, but I'm afraid that if I open up a Tumblr to show off chapters, I'll get people who find reasons to be mad about my work somehow. I know you don't have to do anything honestly wrong for that to happen. It's scary.

In the past week I've been tagged on numerous 2 star reviews, on many more 4 and 5 star reviews that say they're "shocked" the writing was so good like that's supposed to be a compliment and not the backhanded insult it is, been told I'm writing sickening bestiality, and that anyone who enjoys reading my work "needs therapy."

Bottom line - if people want to be jerks, they're gonna be jerks, whether they're doing it in tiktok videos, in tweets, in DMs, or here on Tumblr. You need to get real okay with that before publishing, because it's going to happen once you're read by a wider audience, without question. Tumblr users aren't any better or worse than people anywhere else on the internet. I've been the occasional recipient of shitty messages in my ask box here, and I know several of my peers seem to receive them with obnoxious regularity. It's just a part of the game.

Beyond that, there are pros and cons associated with publishing traditionally and with self-publishing. It's necessary to decide what's important to you before going in, and wise to explore your options.

Going trad: you're probably going to need an agent to be signed to the big 5 or any of their affiliated presses. Some of the imprints of imprints will accept unagented submissions, but it's a long shot. Small presses are much more willing (and primarily do) accept unagented submissions from unknown authors . . . but it's a mixed bag and ymmv. Small presses are small, and small means without a lot of funding to throw around. You might be responsible for 90% of your book's advertising, you might be 100% responsible for any sort of merch you might want to do, you might be signed to digital only, which means you won't ever get a physical copy. You're somewhat at the mercy of an editor. You're going to earn less for your work. BUT! If being "published" is what you want, this is the way to do it. Also worth noting that in today's market, agents really like to see that you've been picked up by a small press for this project or that project.

The cons of self-publishing: writing is the easy part. You're now also a digital artist, a designer, an advertising expert, a social media manager, a copyeditor and typesetter, etc etc etc. You front everything yourself. You DO everything yourself. Literally anyone can self-publish, but doing it well is not for the faint of heart. The pros: you make more and you don't need to share it with anyone. You've got a wider margin before you're in the black, because you've now paid a cover designer, an editor, merch, and anything else you farmed out along the way, but once you clear those expenses, you're in profit territory. But you actually need to sell enough to get to that point, which means being very comfortable with selling yourself. You need to have a plan and be flexible when it falls apart. You need to spend a LOT of time educating yourself on the tools and resources at your disposal. And ultimately, you are the only one who's going to sell your book.

I'm not ruling out publishing with a press in the future, for a side project I write specifically for that sort of publication. It wouldn't be anything from my CC series, because I've put too much work into building it to share the profits, and I'm confident enough in my prostitution abilities to make it sell, lol.

MGMF has so far peaked at #11 on the Kindle best seller list, so I'm very happy with it! Like I said, you need to decide what's important to you and educate yourself on the process and the tools - and my inbox is always open! There are new things I learn every day, so finding peers who are in the same boat with you is always a great resource!
