i think what i've learned from the last few days of terrorposting is that finding unbelievable joy in these niche deep dives is one of my greatest qualities and something wonderful to nurture. i used to have a big book of cat breeds i took to elementary school to read cover-to-cover when my work was done. and i suppressed this part of myself for years bc i was scared to "seem autistic" to others

#Personal #My godbrother is autistic so I never had like a negative association w the concept BUT #I ALSO saw that OTHER people had a lot of issues with it. I wanted to be liked I wanted to seem 'normal' to others #I never wanted to seem like I was rambling about something others found boring #Now I'm on the autism website and I can post about zinc deficiency and lead poisoning and scurvy.
