"Well, I think that's enough for today. Maybe tomorrow you'll come to your senses," Quackity mused, absentminded as he washed the netherite pickaxe in the flowing lava. He glanced behind him, a familiar sight he'd grown too accustomed to. Dream sat slumped against the back obsidian wall, unmoving, normally white fur closer to a stained beige, head lolled to the side, eyes glazed over staring at nothing. The hybrid looked as good as dead, but Quackity knew better.

How many months was it now? He'd lost track, if he was honest. Somewhere along the line, this stopped being about the Book and about his personal revenge.

But these days, he didn't feel the same thrill he once did. It felt so good to hurt him, make him feel the same pain he'd caused so many others. And yet, for all his talk of godhood, even Dream had limits apparently. He hardly cried anymore, barely whimpered unless Quackity did something drastic. Like when he'd pulled teeth after Dream tried biting him. Or that day he walked in with a razor and a branding iron in the shape of his blocky smile, just waiting for the lava to spill back down. Or the time he'd finally gotten tired of Dream clawing at him and took his sweet time prying each nail from its bed.

He almost felt bad.

Almost.

"I'm feeling like a broken record at this point, Dream. And I'm really not known for my patience." There was no response, hadn't been for hours.

Finally, the wall of lava began to descend and Quackity could see the Warden standing on the other side.

Quackity waited silently for the redstone machine, stepped on, and didn't look back as it returned him to it's starting position.

"Anything?" Sam asked, already knowing the answer.

"No," Quackity muttered, gaze falling slowly to his bloody hands. "Got a water bucket for me?"

The prisoner watched the walls drip a never-ending purple substance. He tried to remember other purple things. Enchanted netherite was the first to come to mind. Armor, swords, axes.

Pickaxes.

He suppressed a shudder.

Only then did he notice Quackity wasn't in his cell anymore. Time slipped so easily, too easily. He missed his clock. He missed a lot of things, people, nature. But they were all hazy memories now. Blurs of forest green and sky blue, of headbands and goggles, of friends made family. Their faces were blotched out, vague impressions, and just the first letters of names on his tongue. He missed being able to remember.

There was nothing else to do in this dark box but reminisce, and even that was fading.

He couldn't even remember why or how he got in this place, in prison. He must've done something wrong, but then again, he didn't think it mattered. For all he knew, he'd been here since he was born.

He was sure of three things. He was never leaving this room, Quackity would be back tomorrow--whenever that was--to hurt him again, and his name was...

His name...

Quackity had said Dream like it was a name, but he didn't know what that meant. Who was Dream? What did he like? Why would he be in prison?

He'd trust it for now, if only because he couldn't think of anything else.

Dream moved for the first time in what felt like days. His neck protested the movement, sore from its stretched state. He spotted the single block of water in the corner. Memories of trying to use it as an escape briefly crossed his mind. Immediately after, he recalled the punishment he'd received for it and flinched.

Trying to calm himself with a deep breath only sent him into a coughing fit, and he realized just how thirsty he was. He began crawling to the water, body too aching and legs too broken to walk. The rough obsidian dug into the sensitive paw pads of his hands and through the thin fabric of his orange jumpsuit. He'd grit his teeth in pain if he had any.

Finally, he'd made it to the cool liquid and carefully cupped it to his lips. He wouldn't call it refreshing. After all, it was the same water it had been the day he arrived--whenever that was. The Warden never cared to replace it, or do anything for him really.

He panted after a few handfuls, atrophied muscles shaking with the effort of holding himself up. His eyelids started to flutter, growing oddly heavy. The blood loss must be getting to him.

In that case, he should move back from the hole and try--though he had a good hunch he'd fail--to get comfortable for when he passed out. Maybe this time he wouldn't wake up with a sore, well, everything. But, for some reason, his body wouldn't listen to what his brain said. He was too weak, muscles too fatigued and bones too frail. His strength gave out, and he entered the water with a small splash. His eyes stung as he tried to keep them open, even if all he could see was utter darkness. He kept his mouth closed, trying to conserve his oxygen.

But the instinct to breathe, to live overpowered him. He inhaled through his nostrils, only to be rewarded with a large influx of water burning his throat.

If he wasn't so tired, so exhausted, so battered and broken, he would've panicked. Adrenaline would've flooded his veins like the water filling his lungs. He would've lived.

But, instead...

Murphy's Law

Man I wish Wells had survived. I wish we could have seen who he became. :(

The wall has been built. Good for them. Clarke is outside it in the growing graveyard, mourning Wells. Finn sneaks up on her telling her what to do. (shouldn't be out here) says the guy who spent another night exploring out in the woods. Oh he got her something did he?

And she's charmed by the art supplies. It makes her remember Wells who was trading his own stuff to give her supplies. NOW she starts blaming her mother. I mean, fine it's her mother's fault, but oh she realizes what she can do to make her "feel it." Vengeful child. And feel it she does. The first terminated signal in over a week. She is freaking out over Clarke maybe dying.

Meanwhile, Monty needed a working wristband for the comm signals. "Well be talking to the Ark by nightfall." Monty's such a sweety and so competent.

Look at those delinquents working hard building walls. Look at Murphy being a dick to the kid who stumbles. Look at Bellamy being dad bellamy and teasing little Charlotte. OMG WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU MURPHY??

I forgot he peed on that poor kid who wanted a water break. WHAT A DICK. How in the world did they redeem him. But they did.

O is leading Jasper out into the woods. And she gets grabbed. By one of the Johns. Then he trips and sees Wells' severed fingers. Hello Trauma capital T.

Dick Kane is tracking Abby and wanting to know why he's going to Mecha. She lies and says someone has strep. "We don't want another outbreak." And he backs off. She lies again saying she'll keep him informed. Mecha has Raven fixing the tincan. No pressure regulator and they can't ride in the shuttle.

The metal knife from the drop ship. The grounders didn't kill Wells, it was one of us. Bellamy points out there's more than one murderer in the camp. Ooooh. Bellamy and Clarke conflict. he wants the news quiet. Keep people afraid and they'll work for him. Fear of the grounders is building the wall. Don't even know who's knife that is.

OH really? JM. John Murphy. The people have a right to know. SHe goes RIGHT to Murphy and blames her for killing him. He of course denies it because he didn't. AND BELLAMY believes her. "I don't have to answer to anyone!"

Come again? Asks bellamy. And he says the knife and fingers were found together. Poor murphy. He really didn't do it. The kid he peed on wants him floated. "It's justice." She says revenge isn't justice. WOW that's a lot of delinquents jumping Murphy. O wanted to stop it. She was a lot less blood thirsty in season 1. I wish we coulda stuck with that.

Clarke is saying they can't string him up

Oooh. this is graphic. Clarke says Bellamy can stop this and the peed boy says Bellamy should do it. They start chanting his name. And Clarke says she saw him in the woods and she knows he's not a killer.

OMG they actually drop him. THat is awful. Awful. WOW>

HOLY SHIT. I forgot how HORRIBLE that was in the immediate reveal that Charlotte did it.

Horror on top of horror on top of horror. That's how this show dragged us in. We never had a chance to recover or even process one horror before finding another.

Meanwhile Bellamy REALLY does not want to do this, but he's going with the crowd. He's NOT in control, but he's afraid that if he stands against them he'll lose control.

Nigel's "little bird" needs a pressure regulator. What for? Regulating pressure. She says she has her mother's sense of humor. And she doesn't move machine parts. How bout some moonshine and herb. She tries to pimp Raven out to the chief of electrical. Her mother would have taken that deal. In fact, she did, many times. We forgot about Raven's history, didn't we.

"I was just trying to slay my demons, like you told me."

Little girl never learned about metaphors and symbolism. What that little girl could have used was a good ENGLISH TEACHER!!! That's right, an english teacher could have saved Wells. lol

Bellamy blames Clarke. If she didn't tell then those idiots would still be building the wall. Meanwhile he wants to save Charlotte the actual murderer. "Giving the people what they wanted."

Now Murphy is trying to get the delinquents to string up Charlotte. "It's okay to string me up for nothing but when this little bitch confesses, you wanna let her walk." And Murphy slams Bellamy and tries to get the girl. This is jam packed.

Clarke and Finn run off with Charlotte into the woods.

UH OH. The arc medical unit. There's a lot of kids not doing so well. Oxygen deprivation. Raven can't get the part. Nygel has the part, and Abby is going to take care of it. I actually always wanted to see Nygel on earth. She would have been GREAT as a villain. Trading morphine for a pressure regulator.

Charlotte tries to hold Clarke's hand and Clarke is MAD. "Clarke she's just a kid." "She's a killer. Look at me, you can't just kill someone to make yourself feel better."

Finn found a bunker for hiding.Art supply store. "I can't believe you kept this place quiet." Clarke agrees with me. Repurposing and sharing with the group. He bribes her with colored pencils. Jerk. They're using a shit ton of candles. Wasteful.

She thinks if she hadn't told none of this would've happened. Finn says she couldn't have known. "Bellamy knew."

Kane's mom Vera. It's funny whose names i remember. The magic earth tree. It's just a bonsai. Nygel tells Kane about Abby. She sucks. Great villain. He calls her a plague on the ship.Oops theres the morphine.

Clarke fell asleep on Finn's shoulder and she grins, she's got a crush on the worthless jackass. And Charlotte's gone.

Bellamy has found her. It's Charlotte hunting season. Bellamy is trying to help her. "I'm not your sister." She's got your number B.

"Listen to me Charlotte. I. Won't. Leave. You."

She calls for Murphy.

Raven and Abby fixing the shuttle as we wait for Kane to come. She finds out that Kane knows the morphine is gone. They're gonna be here in five and Raven needs 20. "Only one of us needs to get to the ground. 300 people will die if you don't." "They'll float you." "Then they'll float me."

Bellamy is carrying Charlotte over her shoulder before running into the cliff. Here comes murphy. He's ready to take a few of them with her. Clarke arrives. "This has gone too far."

Murphy grabs her and holds a knife to Clarke's throat. A trade for Charlotte. She wants to trade herself. She's feeling guilt. So she jumps over the cliff.

Bellarke's first lost child.

Now Murphy is like, "bellamy..." and bellamy is going to bet him to death. "he deserves to die."

"NO! We don't decide who lives or dies, not down here."

This is when they become partners. "We need rules."

"And who makes those rules? YOu?"

"For now WE make the rules. We banish him."

Bellamy is with her. Threatens him if he ever sees him in camp again. And says the other four can be with him or die with Murphy. THey choose Bellamy.

Finn is all emotional. And useless I might add.

Raven racing against the clock to regulate pressure. And Nygel gave her a bum part. Great villain. She sees a space suit. oh that will work.

Abby tells Kane that she's trying to save "all of us." He arrests her and continues the search for Raven Reyes WHO has just taken off in a rusted tincan. She floated HERSELF bitch.

Clarke and Bellamy speaking to the collected Delinquents and nodding to each other. Partners.

Monty has gotten the wristband working. Morse code. OH no. It fried every last wristband. Fried them all? Then how did they use the wristband in season 3??? Oh it might have been one of the ones the took off before.

Meanwhile O is rewarding "brave" Jasper with a kiss. He picked the wrong girl to have a crush on, I tell yah.

Oh UGH. Finn is destroying the bunker because "we're dead to them." we're not alone. YOURE Not alone. No it was Finn who kissed her not Clarke who kissed finn. Now they have their love scene. Meh. Short.

With his girlfriend Raven coming down AS they're doing it.

Rude. Honestly what a soapy mess. Clarke and Raven shoulda gotten together and left Finn out completely. Damn right.

Anyway. That's a jam packed episode. Very dramatic. High stakes. Life and death on the small scale with the delinquents and the large scale with the Ark.

The hanging scene was BRUTAL. Like it was really violent. And the Charlotte reveal was a gut punch. The acting has stepped up big time. (I still don't love O and Jasper, I never really did, but everyone else.)

Murphy is absolutely despicable in all conceivable ways. Clarke is desperate. Bellamy is floundering. Finn is just standing around doing nothing while Bellarke does it all... sorry, he's judging. He does that. Raven is a super star. Abby is determined. Kane has a stick up his butt but he honestly does think he's doing the right thing, although he's still a dick. Monty is a genius. Jasper is terrified. O is a lot kinder in this episode. She loses that later, too bad. We got a lot of worldbuilding for the Ark in this episode with the politics and blackmarket and health crises and Raven's backstory.

I'm actually really enjoying watching this show for story OUTSIDE of Bellarke. There's a lot that I've forgotten.

Now that DC brought Bernard back (well not now, now but this was half made in my drafts so ignore me) I would like to present you my TEDtalk about a couple of forgotten amazing characters DC should bring back to add to Jason's storyline (instead of that flight attendant in rhato that I don't even remember her name because she was boring as fuck and is just there to be Jason's sexualized love interest).

Using "Batman: a death in the family" because in my view, this is one of the most important issues that makes mostly of what Jason Todd is today.

1- Mrs. Walker; A sweet Old lady who used to be Catherine Todd's Friend. She was responsible for saving some of Jason family’s possessions after Catherine died and Jason ran away, hoping she would see the boy again to give it back to him someday.

For those who didn't read this comic quick explanation: these possessions were responsible for Jason's discover that Catherine wasn't his birth mother.

So, Mrs. Walker plays an important role in this issue and shows care for Jason, viewing that she kept his belongs for years waiting to see him again. Also she already knew him before for being Catherine's, her friend, son. great Potential grandaunt figure, genuinely cares for Jason and seems to be really kind. Good one to bring back to today's Jason comic run, knowing that bringing back women to be his Lover doesn't add nothing to the story BUT NOW WOMEN MOTHERLY FIGURES these are great. Jason already have like 5 moms figure but he can aways use some more :)

2- Sharmin Rosen; one of the candidates for Jason's birth mother.

Quick explanation again; in the comic Jason finds an old notebook of his father which had her name in it, knowing that his mother's name started with an "S" he thought she might be his biological mom.

Okay but this woman, omg, she seems to be so cool.

She is simply a spy, a fucking SPY. Batman and Robin meet her when she's in the middle of a mission and Jason nearly sacrifices for her

Did I mention she is a badass?

Anyway, in the end Robin asks her if she ever had a baby in Gotham, she says no and that's the end of their interaction.

Did you get the part where she's a secret agent? Which means this woman is smart alright? Must as well be a hell of a detective.

Now, I would literally die to see these two brought back in a Red Hood comic where years later Sharmin gets curious about Robin's question for some reason and decides to dig into it, after all this boy nearly sacrificed himself to save her life just so he could ask that specific question. Being the badass she is, Sharmin quickly discovers Robin died in Ethiopia with Sheila Haywood the same day they met, both killed by the Joker.

She quickly links Sheila with Gotham then Sheila with Willis Todd, Willis Todd to Jason Todd which suspiciously died the same day that Robin Died. Sharmin decides that she will take revenge for Jason's death going after Joker in a secret mission to kill him. If her name was in Willis' notebook it means that she met him at some point in her life.

So she goes to Willis' old apartment to get information, but when she gets there she ends meeting mrs. Walker. Sharmin tells her what happened to Jason and Mrs. Walker decides to go after Joker with her because just like Sharmin, she also deeply cares about Jason.

They start to work on a plan to kill the Joker but at the same time Jason is also working on a plan to stop Joker for doing something evil or whatever. Then the two badass women thirsty for blood meet with red hood in the same place.

Red Hood: what the fuck are an old lady and a... I guess a not-that-old lady doing in Joker's hideout??

Sharmin: Step aside, this is a secret mission and you will end up spoiling it Red Hood

Mrs. Walker: Who are you calling old, young man?

Red Hood: OMG okay look, I'm trying to stop this mad clown from burning the entire city down okay? So if you could just go away and do your secret mission or whatever somewhere else me along with ALL GOTHAM would thank you enormously.

Sharmin: Well, me and the “Old lady” here are going to kill that crazy clown so whatever you were going to do, we can do it quicker and efficiently.

RH: ...what do you mean “kill”?

Mrs. Walker: (cocks her gun) she means putting a bullet in the clown's head.

RH: ...Two random ladies are more willing to kill the fucking clown than my own dad who watched me and my mother die because of him in a FUCKING WAREHOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF AFRICA?!? (Keeps shouting)

Sharmim: Wait a minute- JASON TODD?!

Mrs. Walker: Who now?

Jason: (stops shouting suddenly)... what did you just call me?

Sharmin: (starts smiling towards Jason) So, answering your question or two now I can say I've been in Gotham city, but I still haven't ever had a baby there, Robin.

Jason: (realizes) No fucking way...

Mrs. Walker: Oh for the love of God I should never have given you that box.

Jason: AND MRS. WALKER?!?

They start a mission to kill the joker together but Batman Finds out about it and tries to stop the two women from killing the joker but he gets beaten by an old lady with a purse

Mrs. Walker: (beating batman with her knit purse) HOW DARE YOU LET THAT PSYCHOPATH KILL MY SWEET BOY

Batman: Ma'am if you could just listen- MA'AM I can't cross that line!

Mrs. Walker: That's what my husband said in the war and you know what happened? (Gets closer to Bruce's ear) He crossed the fucking line and beat the shit out of a bunch of nazis while his friends died in the other side of the line.

Jason from distance: Holly shit.

Anyways, this is just an idea that I found fun and genuinely think DC should go on and explore. Bruce seeing people trying to give his son the only thing he ever asked for but he himself can’t give it, the potential emotional scenes are just too good. Plus, everyone knows that Jason and badass Mother figures are the best combination ever.

Moloch - My Experience

I call it an "Experience" but it's not really that serious.

I was doing a tarot reading for my mom that concerned her job and he came through the cards. He actually introduced himself as Malach but my mind went to Moloch immediately (fyi: I did know there was a demon named Moloch BUT I didn't know who he is exactly or what he does, I just remembered the name for some reason).

He said he was someone who watches over women in our family line since our ancestors. He "wakes up" or "activates" once every few generations or centuries when "enough pain is accumulated". He is there when the pain is unfair, unnecessary or unearned. He is someone who brings chaos and destruction to the enemies/people who did the woman wrong. He is not a creature of revenge or justice (at least that's what he said). He also specifically said his presence may bring health problems/body problems and that my mom should eat and drink despite not being hungry or thirsty.

The feeling I got was that he was grumpy and I knew he doesn't like to "wake up" for shit like that. I understood he didn't like humans and even said "do not call me, do not contact me, do not pray to me, do not talk to me". Also, I didn't feel scared, his aura wasn't menacing, just annoyed and powerful.

Before the reading, my mom actually was hearing someone walking around the house and following her and she thought it was our dead grandfather. We came to a conclusion it was Moloch. During a reading, I also saw a shadow.

One day (about 1/2 week after the reading) my mom got a big, red scratch on her clavicle and she said she didn't know how it got there. It wasn't painful. My first thought was "It's Moloch" but I didn't tell her that. Then, a day later she said it hurt like hell at work and I asked "did it hurt when those people (aka the people who were doing her dirty) at work talked to you?" and she nodded so I told her "it might be that it's the protection mark. It only hurt when they were talking to you. It absorbed something" and also, it disappeared the next day.

I've read some opinions on Moloch here on Tumblr and I realized it could be him after all. I actually didn't know he fed off of pain or hates humanity. Now I do. But, I'm, not scared of him. He's just around my mom and that's it.

My guess is he has pledged loyalty to the women of my family and now he has to go along with it. That's my theory.

The funniest thing about june teasing katara and zuko about being a couple is that she just sees a pretty girl and an attractive guy, both looking almost the same age which immediately makes her go "you two must be a couple" and it just reminds me of zvtara shippers, you know what i mean? I'm convinced one of the reasons a lot of ppl ship them is bc of their looks. katara being the female protagonist and also a pretty, smart and powerful girl & zuko, despite not being the male protagonist, being the most attractive guy in the gaang. Boom, a "bomb ass ship". It is worth to recall that "people ship zutara bc they projected onto katara and had a crush on zuko". And if they say they don't ship them for that reason, then it's bc they read too much between the lines in every interaction they have. So, back to june, she didn't even care if they had chemistry or if they were friends or anything, she just straight up teased them about being a couple lmao. Because in all honesty zvtara can be an appealing ship in anyone's eyes but THAT'S IT, it doesn't go further than that. I can be testimony of that😅Before even watching the show i was like june, one day i saw a zk fanart and was like "wow aren't those zuko and katara from atla? They look so good, she's gorgeous and he's hot" i already knew kataang was endgame and that mai was zuko's love interest but seeing zuko and katara together was pleasing to my eyes. However once i watched the show for the first time (2 months ago i think) i realized there was really no romantic chemistry between them, nothing, literally nothing, i mean, i wasn't even waiting for the zvtara content in the show that made ppl ship them so much, i was actually very neutral about ships, i couldn't care less about them, but i still realized nothing was happenig between them and that it was obvious since book 1 ep 1 that kataang was endgame. Zuko and katara were two teenagers from opposite sides of a war that tried to kill each other multiple times and when zuko changed sides they developed a completely platonic relationship. As i said, people either ship them because it's an appealing and aesthetically pleasing ship (water/fire, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, the common red & blue ship) or they just love reading too much between the lines, OR BOTH, because they were so thirsty about it they ended up convincing themselves there was romantic tension between them, that they liked each other and that zvtara was scrapped when it was never planned in the first place. Not to mention the reasons why they claim zvtara should've been endgame are based only on symbolism and things they have in common that are just so ??? Random. e.g. (i saw these on a post on facebook and the comment section was hilarious, it was full of ppl being sarcastic about it & making fun of it) saying they should've been canon bc:

1. "They both lost their mothers at a young age" (?)

2. "katara was good but had rage in her heart and zuko was bad but had good in his heart so it was like yin and yang, and that was the main purpose/topic of the show" (?)

3. "they both had alter egos (painted lady and blue spirit)" (???) this one sounds like saying maiko was canon bc zuko worked in a tea shop and mai worked in a flower shop😂

4. "Zuko was the only one who supported katara in taking revenge on her mom's assassin" (?) if you ask me, that just proves zuko is not right for katara, he led her to do something she was gonna regret later (not trying to hate on zuko, i love him, and since i love him i acknowledge his flaws. I understand why he thought it was the best thing to do, he's an impulsive and resentful boy (he would've done the same if it was his mom) and he noticed how thirsty katara was for revenge, ofc he wanted to help her + he wanted her to accept him and thought it was the right thing to do in order to gain her trust, but it wasn't) unlike zuko, aang tried to make katara come to her senses and do the thing that was best for her: forgive and let go, and it was basically what she did at the end. She didn't do what zuko expected her to do. She did what aang expected her to do. She didn't forgive her mom's assassin, but she forgave zuko, and she didn't do THAT thing she (and aang) knew would regret later. Aang knew katara and what was the best thing for her to do.

5. and the most ridiculous one, "they both saved each other's lives in the final agni kai"(???????) and the funniest part is that it was followed by "WHAT MORE PROOFS DO YOU WANT???". Honestly wtf did ppl expect? Did they expect zuko to stand there and watch katara die? Did they expect katara to just stand there and watch zuko lay on the floor & die? And this has been said a million times and i am going to join and say it once again: zuko would've done that for ANYONE from the gaang, he would've done the same for toph, sokka, suki and aang. Because he learned to care about them. As for katara, she would've done that for anyone too wtf she healed aang once too and even brought him back to life. (I wouldn't be surprised if zk shippers used that as a parallel for romantic zvtara proof bc they're just like that💀)

There were more "reasons" but they're just so stupid and taken out of context like "they care for each other" & "katara was the one who encouraged him to talk to his uncle" like yeah that's what friends do. Basically all zvtara shippers do is REACH.

Also, i just can't see it happening. I like the enemies to lovers trope, maybe if the writers really intended to make it canon, i would have been down for the ship, it would've been interesting to see how it developed, but,, they didn't, and later i came to the realization that if it would've really happened, it would've been so... weird. Time to bring up the "colonized and colonizer ship" and how some ppl feel uncomfortable about it. Besides the fact that a relationship between zuko and katara wouldn't have worked (they're incompatible af, katara is a girl with a strong character and zuko is a guy with anger issues that takes everything personal, they'd be at each other's throats 99% of the time) it's just weird to think that katara would choose to marry a man from the fire nation, the nation that caused a big war that traumatized her, the nation that took her mother away from her. Imagine katara ruling along with zuko a nation she despised for years. Fire lady katara doesn't sit right with me, and i'm sure it doesn't sit right with a lot of ppl as well. I don't see katara doing that, and yes, i know she forgave zuko, but still, she would've never done that 🤦🏽‍♀️ i think it would've been so OOC tbh.

Another thing i laugh my ass off at is when they say "zuko should've chosen katara instead of mai" as if they were ever in a relationship for zuko to say "ok imma choose katara i wanna be with her". As if katara was EVER an option for him. They never showed interest in each other, what's not clicking?????? And zuko only had eyes for mai, not to mention that despite zuko and mai had a rough relationship, no girl would've dealed with zuko's bs better than mai. Can you imagine katara dealing with zuko blowing up over everything? Because i can't. Also people saying things like "zuko deserves someone who is always there for him and listens to him" (and ofc they're talking about katara) like, ok, you hate that katara is aang's "therapist" but you want her to be zuko's therapist. Logic? Where? And I do remember mai being a supportive gf and trying to cheer him up multiple times. Did they watch the same show as me?

Zvtarians try to play the victims about how they were "robbed" bc some voice actors shipped them and from what i've read people who worked for the show suggested to go for zk, but that's stupid, it doesn't count as "they planned it but scrapped it, we were robbed". The only word that counts are the creators' voice and they have stated they were always rooting for kataang, so no, you were not robbed.

People are just so in love with the idea of zuko and katara together they really convinced themselves it was likely to happen. Honestly zvtara it's a fine ship as fanon but ppl ruined it for me and what i hate the most is when they ship it and hate on aang and mai at the same time and make them look SO bad to invalidate kataang and maiko. Saying aang is abusive and mai is toxic is complete ✨bullshit✨ and lastly, it's ridiculous when they say the creators were cowards for not making it canon. They're cowards for not fulfilling your greatest childhood wish? Something they never planned? It is THEIR show. If you hate sm how things turned out then quit atla once and for all and go find another show that you know is gonna give you what you expect,,, it's tiring that they've been crying about it for 15 yrs , like, i joined the fandom recently but i can imagine how tired old atla fans must be of this.

OK so I have a lot of thoughts about this and firstly,,,anon I appreciate the dedication that it took for you to write  this, and I agree with many of your points. However, the attitude I have on this blog towards Avatar ships is far more neutral than what you’re saying.

Ultimately, romance is not and never was the focus of Avatar. Romantic development was always secondary or tertiary plot, and the entire show was far more focused on platonic relationship development. My attitude towards shippers on here - including Zutara shippers - is that people can ship what they want, as long as they’re respectful of each other and of the other characters that “interfere” with their ship. End of the day, shipping is irrelevant to the core of the show. 

People shipping something because they find it aesthetically appealing is honestly,,,fine. Personally, I think it’s reductionist, but I don’t care if you do because everyone has the right to enjoy media however they want to. 

That being said, we absolutely should call out racist or problematic tropes that we see, including ‘fire lady katara”. I also agree that it’s upsetting when people bash other characters in order to further their ship, as much of the bashing is also pretty racist and/or misogynistic. Calling that out, however, is separate from calling out every single person who happens to enjoy certain ships.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I honestly disagree with this take. Both Aang and Zuko were approaching the situations from their own life experiences, but Katara didn’t do what either of the boys wanted. She chose her own path, by both sparing Yon Rha’s life but also refusing to forgive him. The episode is about Katara and her personal trauma and its focus should not be on her relationships with either Zuko or Aang. 

When I make posts such as this, it’s less about hating Z*tara and more about how this fandom focuses all its attention on romance and shipping, to the point where if you acknowledge a relationship’s importance it’s assumed you pair the two romantically. I don’t read Zuko and Katara’s relationship as romantic (for reasons that it would take too long to explain here), but their relationship development is extremely important, the two of them share tons of parallels and the final Agni Kai marks the culmination of both of their character arcs. Yes, Zuko would have taken the lightning for any of the characters, but it’s thematically important that it was Katara. None of this inherently means it’s romantic, but refusing to acknowledge the significance of the relationship between them is equally reductionist. 

This isn’t an attack on you, anon, and you’re 100% allowed to have negative feelings about a ship. But at the end of the day, it’s not worth getting this worked up over. If I were you I’d focus more on creating/consuming content for a ship you like than bashing ships you don’t!

Cain's Mark vs Profound Bond

Hello my friends! Today we are going to talk about three episodes from this season exploring the big fight between Cain's Mark (the monster inside Dean) vs Profound Bond (Destiel).

In episode 10x15 'The Things They Carried' we meet Cole again.

But again after to jump into that, let's recall that glorious scene in which one sheriff offered Dean a piece of cake...

You know what cake means for Dean, okay, is not pie, but is like... He wants to eat Cas, and who don't? 🤣🤣😏

Okay... Blue plate... (CAS) Right? Dean is trying to reach it but Sam blocks it. Dean longs for that cake... Then, the cake is divided... There one big piece with a green and yellow candles (the two brothers) but green is Healing!Dean so, is good... Another piece with Blue and Res candles (Toxic/Violent!Dean and Cas). So one is good the other not so, maybe representing the end of the season in which Dean and Cas will have a very violent encounter, and Sam will be able to reach Dean in that Mexican bar (Las episode from this season).

Okay, my rant has no limits. I know. I also know you like me as I am. So is okay. 🤣🤣

Now. Cole's time.

Rick was Cole's best friend, he was a soldier. When Sam and Dean went to talk with his wife, this is what she said about his husband...

Is like talking about Dean here, knowing Dean will become a thirsty of revenge monster by the end of the season, this is an accurate description.

BETH: Water. He'd spend half the day drinking from the garden hose. And then, one night, I caught him in the tub drinking the bathwater. When l told him to stop, it was like he couldn't even hear me. And his skin, it got so dry it bled.

Another wife asking his husband to stop.

When Cole enters finds the Winchesters, he knows the brothers wanted to kill 'the monster'

So, here is when he became Sam/Cas mirror...

Cole keeps his hopes, he wants to save his friend. Just like Sam and Cas want to save Dean.

Then, when the worm takes control of Cole, leading him to a metamorphosis into a monster, slow and painful, he switch to Dean mirror.

The parasite is Cain's mark. Hopefully Cole is healed. But the whole scene is like Dean looking at his reflection, trying to fight the monster/Cain's mark/parasite.

But at the end of the episode, this is what Dean says...

The betrayal and what Dean really wants

Episode 10x16 'Paint it Black' we have two important point to watch.

First of all, the ghost Love's story talks about betrayal. The artist betrayed her. Betrayed their bond. Another Destiel foreshadow, another clue to is about to come, Dean finding Cas with Sam acting behind his back. Always with a romantic parallel, of course.

But this episode had a very, very important scene. Dean's confession.

Keep in mind we jus had two episodes with Dean eagerly eating cake. Cake represents his bi-self, the side of him that longs for Castiel.

So, the confession starts with Dean naming PIE, I mean... Women.

DEAN: Right. Good. Yeah. So, that, and, um…so the women. Uh, and this is not something that I’m proud of, but I let them think that we have more of a future than we do, you know? Ah, Gina.

Gina doesn't exist, is just a name in the name of all the women he knew. That's why Gina appears in the same paragraph he names women in general. The pie.

FATHER DELANEY: Gina?

DEAN: Well, now, don’t get me wrong. I mean, she was – it was good times. I mean, you know how it is – the sex, the lasagna – but I was not honest with her. And sometimes, I was seeing two, maybe three girls at the same time, sometimes in the same day. [Chuckles] you get the picture. And it wasn’t just Gina. It was endless. It’s making me sick.

This is a complex dialogue we have here. Gina is women, but it also is Dean's fem side. He wasn't honest with himself. He had so many women, not being honest with it, and it got him sick. Superficial encounters, not feelings, just sex. Not compromises. But inside of his soul... He was getting sick... Because that's not what he is or what he wants... He wants cake.

When the Father was about to end the confession, thinking Dean was over... Is when the real thing came out to light...

Dean wants to experience those feelings he has for Castiel for the first time. Because Cas gives him security, and profounding. Cas has done for him what no one did before. So Dean knows that what he feels for him must be true, must be love. And he wants to embrace it for the first time. Is one of the reasons why he doesn't want to die. So after talking about the superficial, the women, the pie, he goes for the cake. Is the good thing, the new thing, the different thing. He wants Castiel.

Now, just to finish this episode, there was another little foreshadow...

SAM: Is this you thanking me for not doing what you told me to do?

DEAN: You know, if you would have burned the journal, then we wouldn’t know how to kill it, would we?

Okay, remember when Dean asked Sam to burn the Book of the Condemn? And he didn't? Okay... We know Sam will give it to Rowena and through that book... They will erase the mark. Thanks to Sam who didn't obey his big brother this time.

The Plan to save Dean

Episode 10x17 'Inside Man' or... Bobbyyyyyy!!!! *horribly crying* sorry.

Mostly a beautiful Sam/Cas work team episode, and how they began to assemble the perfect work team of the entire show! (Sorry again, I love their dynamic) but I will talk here just a few things...

Bi!Dean winking at the bartender, and the bar full of red, (toxic!Dean).

The psychic just seeing colors when trying to read Cas. We love our gay angel.

Hannah saying Cas he was desperate to save Dean. Yes. She knows what is going on there between Cas and Dean.

Dean facing persons under the beast spell, thanks to Rowena, like a foreshadow of Dean facing Cas under the same spell.

To Conclude:

These three episodes talked about the fight inside Dean between Cain's mark, the parasite, the monster, and his profound bond with Castiel, expressed into words in his confession.

There a little clues foreshadowing the end of the season and how they will be erasing the mark.

Battle Of He❤rt and M ☇nd (Actual Title: Change Your Mind) - Steven Vs Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond

This episode, I have so much praise for it, the fluid animation, how it was paced, heck, even just the crystal gems new outfits! But one thing just stood out to me, how they constantly try to differentiate Steven from his mom, Rose/Pink, and succeed doing so.

As we already know, Steven, Rose, or Pink, are essentially the same person, since Steven bears his mother's gem. His kind, caring and optimistic personality comes from his mother, his gem powers, like forming a shield and making plants to come to live comes from his mother. Steven reminds so many people of his mother, his dad, the crystal gems, and even the diamonds! But there's one thing that these two do not have in common.

From the start, Pink, and later on, Rose, loves to run away from her problems. She wanted a colony because of how she felt left behind all the time, and I'm pretty sure that started the rift between the diamonds. When she got her own colony, she ran away, by staging a war against her own kind. Remember, her love for earth started with personal reasons, to be free, with her Pearl. And then she staged her shattering so that the war could end, in the way she wanted. But as Greg said, no war is a good war, and staging her shattering only made things worst.

Thousands of gems got corrupted, and the cluster was built in grief, guilt, and revenge for Pink. She ran away again, being Steven, and leaving her closest friends empty and lost with no leader. I'm sure she didn't intend to seem like she had left behind all her mistakes for Steven to deal with but she did, indirectly or not. We can't blame her though, problems as big as this, who wouldn't want to run away?

But Steven isn't like that. As early as Ocean Gem, we see that Steven wants to fix what he started, or in this case, what his mom started.

"I'm leaving to fix what I did to our home. I was the one who set Lapis free from the mirror! Now it's my fault the ocean's gone. I'm gonna bring the ocean back, or get really thirsty trying." -Steven in Ocean Gem.

And he did, instead of following everyone elses orders, and staying away from the problem, or fighting (he did for a while, but realize that's not how you solve it), he reached out to Lapis, and became her friend. That's what first got me into the show, Steven, wanted to reach out to someone, who felt lost and empty, against all odds. And this isn't the only example. In The Return, he goes back to protect his friends, and in I Am My Mom, he goes to Homeworld to fix what his mom had done. This is something his mom would have never done.

"I get it now, I'm the only one who can stop what she started!" - Steven in I Am My Mom

Because lets admit it, if we still had Pink, she'll be runing away again. Even Pink dosen't want to be Pink anymore, as seen in this episode.

And he has grown so much from these big decisions he made, from having Lapis as a friend, to protecting his family, and to overcoming his identity crisis. He has shown not only to the gems, or the diamonds that he isn't his mom, but also himself. I'm couldn't be more proud of him for that. 💕
