Over 200k fics (good ones)

Could we take moment to talk about the way Cas is looking at Dean and how Dean is holding out his hand like ‘goddammit, take my hand, Cas’?

Anyway.

The fics. As I have said, I’m at the moment doing some heavy inventory in my fic folders, basically cleaning them all up and trying to figure out what I have not yet shared with you. I also arranged all the fic tags and realized that we haven’t made any lists based on the length of the fic. But, fear not, I’m doing it now. In the future, you can also find our fics listed by the length. 

Every fic found in this post is more than 200k and we have read it and decided it’s a good one because no one really wants to read 200k of shit. The problem with long fics very often is that it doesn’t keep you hooked, or the author gets bored with the fic and you can see it by the quality, or the plot is not planned well enough, but worry not. That won’t happen with these fics.

Title: The Chronicles of Dean’s Bisexuality

Admin J’s notes: This is hilarious. The author is great and the language is changing depending on the character, which makes it very real, and I really don’t know why you wouldn’t like this. Except, of course, if you’re only into AUs. In that case, you probably won’t like this :’D

Summary: An exploration of what Supernatural would’ve been like if Dean Winchester was canonically bisexual from the beginning.

Admin J’s notes: How about soldier / priest / doctor / alpha Cas? Too much? I don’t think so! I loved the part where Cas sits in the church, drinking alone :’D I found it very Cas.

Summary: Dean Winchester never wanted to go home again. Going back to Lawrence meant people who knew what he was, who didn’t buy into the lie. But with a tragic accident, he’s back and dealing with the death of his father, the social stigma and objectification being an out Omega, and the lingering aftermath of a long-ago crime.

Admin J’s notes: I’m reccing this, even if Father Collins kind of ruined the fic for me. I don’t like it when the actors and the characters they play are mixed together. I mean, I love Misha, but I don’t want to mix Misha with Cas. They’re different. Basically, I took stars away because of the name Collins :’D

Summary: It starts a few days earlier. Castiel first notices it in the middle of the night when the dreams of fire and screams have kept him awake. He’s kneeling before the altar, praying, when the glass in the windows start to shake, the very air vibrating around him. Castiel is on his feet and reaching for the gun tucked into the back of his pants as the shutters over the windows start to rattle.
