regarding wci, i kept reading that it was boring as f*ck, worse arc ever, let's go to wano, type of comments... i am not updated in the anime since dressrosa is so long (and kinda boring; sorry). i am updated in the manga, but people keep complaining that they can't wait for wano. and regarding sanji's kindness, people were like so he is kind, he's still a loser, stuff like those. so i dunno if having kindness is a bad thing, or others just want battles and fights 24/7 in one piece
that sounds a lot like the sentiment from male-dominated forums like arl/ngpark and you know what.....they are all entitled to their opinions and they can complain all they want but Ehi personally never find their opinions relevant in any way. a lot of their "predictions" keep getting wrong because I feel like they're missing the point of the arc and the characters. they are way too focused on power level even though Oda has mentioned time and again that One Piece is less about power level and more about good/bad matchups between different powers (eg the Strawhats easily beating Mr.3 but Mr.3 still could hold his own against Magellan; or more recently, Nami halting the ever-powerful Big Mom with her lightning despite other "more powerful" chars not even leaving a dent on Big Mom). they keep calling Sanji a loser for not beating Zoro in the poll without really stepping back and see that....Sanji still got third place? with literal thousands of votes, close in number to Zoro's and significantly more than Law's? they didn't bother knowing Sanji got first in the jump police poll? and they all pretended he didn't maintain his position when he didn't appear for 2 years in Dressrosa arc poll lmaoOne Piece is more popular than ever with WCI in Japan, which is the main target demographic, and Oda will continue to cater to that audience instead of these people. it's good that you're willing to see both sides of the argument, but at a certain point you should stay back from communities who bring you down without contributing anything positive to youI respect people who criticize WCI for its Bad take on Sanji's past and "chivalry", for the subtle sexism that Oda is still exhibiting, the double standards on the roles he's giving female chars vs. male chars. I wouldn't give a rat's ass about people who don't like WCI because They Don't Punch Enough People lol. cry all you want buddy. Oda isn't drawing your male power fantasy for another few months because he's too busy drawing Nami being badass and people supporting Sanjialso if you ever want to find a more WCI-positive community, I'd recommend you get a twitter, and I'll show you the wonderful community we have \o/
