I really try to keep the long-game in mind when Iâm writing stories, including the hypothetical seasons Iâm working on, and while I have a solid end game is for Omi, Jermaine, Kimiko, and a partial end game for Raimundo I am struggling to decide on where Clay and Jack ultimately end upâŠ
And by âend gameâ I mean post-dragon. Because I do imagine they all get to that rank by the time they are in their 20s, but they arenât there forever.
#I need this information so I can start planting seeds and making connections in the stories#it is important to me

lazy day with simon got me giggling and kicking my feet in the air. it was mentioned that simon felt insignificant after leaving the army and i was wondering if you could do a little imagine on how he slowly overcomes this or how reader helps him whenever he feels this way thank you, absolutely in love w ur blog!
Hi, anon! I received your request before my vacation and promised myself I wouldnât write anything while here. Well, I lied. Excuse my poor grammar; I wrote this on my smartphone, and proofreading is challenging. (FYI, this is the story anon is talking about)
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
âIf you throw a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will hop right out. But if you put that frog in a pot of tepid water and slowly warm it, the frog doesnât figure out whatâs going on until itâs too late.â
Thatâs Simon.
I believe that the veteransâ support group would be pretty beneficial in boosting his morale. After all, the reader canât do much to help him overcome his issues other than support him, especially if they come from a different background and cannot relate to his experiences.
Loving him is crucial, but youâll need a lot of empathy and patience to help him overcome his challenges.
I imagine him being sceptical at first, putting off his investigation of the group. Asking him whether or not he has taken any action would put him on the defensive, which would backfire.
However, if you passively encourage and indirectly let him realise the value of a community, he will be more intrigued by the idea. Sort of like planting a seed in his head.
So hereâs how I see it playing out:
Youâd begin by sharing your personal experiences. Say, for example, that one day you excitedly announce to him that youâre gathering with your classmates at your local hobby club to start a new project together. Or, perhaps, youâd invite them to your house for dinner and discuss whatever you do there. Heâd be watching you all from a distance, feeling both intrigued by your relationship with them and excluded for not having that kind of connection with other people who have the same interests or share similar experiences with him.
And thatâs how heâd start looking into the support group. In secret, of course; he wouldnât want to make a big deal out of it and certainly doesnât want you to do that either.
Heâd casually drop the topic one day while the two of you took a walk in the park. Youâd act cool about it, but your entire existence would be dancing on the inside. From then on, heâd gradually open up more, and youâd secretly root for him, pushing him behind the scenes and subtly facilitating his progress.
Up to the point where, one day, heâd come to the living room while you were watching TV, holding two identical black shirts, asking you which one he should wear for his first day of meeting with the group. Your opinion matters to him, and you can tell heâs nervous, just like a teenager attending his first party. Youâd advise that he wear the one on the leftâalthough you see no difference in themâand heâd agree, saying it was his first choice.
After the first meeting, he wouldnât shut up about the group. Heâd talk nonstop about someone called Andrew or Jack, and when you asked who these people were, heâd act offended and start giving you more information on them, like you were supposed to know them too.
âI told you about Andrew, the one whoâs about to get married.â
âJack, you donât remember Jack? The one with the receding hairline whoâs had enough and shaved his head off!â
Ultimately, heâd be the one organising dinner parties at your house with his new friends and their partners. And this would go on and on, and heâd be so happy for his new friends and start opening up more, not only to them but to you as well. He wonât overcome his issues per se, but heâll begin understanding them by seeing them through other peopleâs eyesâpeople who feel the same pain as him.
And as for you? Youâd be peeking through the curtain at the man heâs becoming, slowly, steadily, and under your discreet influence and subtle direction.
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
Bonus drabble I was thinking quite a lot about but couldnât embed it in the story above:
You come home from the supermarket and enter the kitchen. Simon stands there with an apron, reading from a recipe book and nodding. You call his name, but he doesnât hear you over the sound of the blender mixing, so you pat his back. You startle him, but he smiles.
You point at the book and ask him what heâs doing.
He lifts his arms and looks at himself. Heâs a mess. Everything around him is a mess.
âBaking?â He says in the form of a question as if he doesnât even believe it himself.
You put the groceries on the kitchen table and survey the warzone. âWhat exactly are you baking?â You shout.
âCake!â He yells back enthusiastically and points at his concoction in the blender, âfor the group!â
âââââââââââââââââââââââ

This is me basically reposting my previous theory, but now with some additional thoughts.
I believe that Nobara will make her return soon, more specifically Nobara is going to make her return as a Cursed Corpse.
Iâve been suspecting that Gojoâs chat with Gakuganji regarding Yagaâs Cursed Corpses wasnât just so Gege could fill the pages. Seeing as Gege doesn't tend to dwell on the emotional aspects of character relationships, but rather uses such conversations to push the plot or world building further ahead, I believe that with that conversation Gege had planted the seed for Nobara's comeback. That moment is, I believe, approaching now.
In my opinion Nitta freezing Nobaraâs state wasnât as pointless as many have recently claimed it was. It was specifically intended to sustain her body and prevent it from decomposing, so that Yaga would have the time to
find two other matching souls and
effectively replicate her soul information from the physical information of her âfrozenâ (not literally, but in the context of not decomposing) body and craft a Cursed Corpse from it.
This would align with her being portrayed among the other dead characters in Yuji's memory - she is dead. A Cursed Corpse is not the person themself, itâs a copy. It is clone formed out of the physical information of a dead body.
Kusakabe's nephew is dead, the Cursed Corpse is just an entity with the same soul information as his nephew.
I want to talk a bit about the mechanics of Cursed Corpses.
The first time we see Yaga is also, funnily enough, the first time we see Nobara. Both make their first appearance in Chapter 3. This make me feel even more certain that turning her into a Cursed Corpse had been Gege's plan from the start.
The process of creating a Cursed Corpse:
You replicate soul information from physical information. I have written about the relationship between the soul and the body in my last post and some people have complained about it being too long, so if you want to read more about that you can check that out here. But I will summarize it like this: The body is the fingerprint of the soul, while the soul is the finger itself. They are not the same. The body is like a mold that is made from the shape of the soul. This is why one can use a physical body, to replicate the information of its original soul.
You put that soul information into the Cursed Corpse's core
The Cursed Corpse's core must house three compatible souls, which constantly observe each other. This gives a Cursed Corpse self-awareness/consciousness
After three months the Cursed Corpse develops self-sustaining Cursed Energy
This tells us that creating a Cursed Corpse is a one time process and from that point on one must only wait three months for it to develop it's own Cursed Energy and not need to be sustained by an outside force.
In my opinion Yaga had already finished Nobara's Cursed Corpse before his death. Furthermore I believe that Mai is one of the other two souls replicated and used for this process. Firstly because Mai is also dead and secondly because I believe Gege foreshadowed Nobara's demise and Mai's connection to it.
Mai's rubber bullet hits Nobara exactly where Mahito will fatally wound her.
The problem presents itself in the three month period it takes for a Cursed Corpse to develop it's own Cursed Energy. Only roughly seven weeks have passed since the Shibuya Incident. How could Nobara's Cursed Corpse be ready now? The answer is:Â Utahime.
What if Utahime had been assisting that process through her amplification technique? What if she would have been able to speed up the process of the manifestation of Cursed Energy within the Cursed Corpse, thus leading to Nobaraâs Cursed Corpse being "ready" faster? And more so, what if Nobara is only ready now, just in the nick of time? This would explain why Megumi and Yuji wouldâve been oblivious to all of this. All they know is that she is dead.
Utahime has the ability to amplify the Cursed Energy and output of any sorcerer and herself.
This would also give explanation as to why Utahime wasnât supporting the sorcerers on the battlefield or Shoko at the infirmary - her, Ijichi and Gakuganji have been tasked with preparing everything for their very last resort:Â Preparing and assisting Cursed Corpse Nobara in her attack on Sukunaâs finger.
Once Nobara's Cursed Corpse is ready, Utahime could then again support her and increase Nobara's output to up to 200%, when she applies Resonance to Sukuna's last remaining finger. The attack will also affect reincarnated Sukuna, through his soul's connection to his finger.
Nobara's Resonance affects the soul, therefore it echoes to each and every part connected to that soul.Â
The location of Sukuna's last finger and the destination of Nobara, Utahime, Ijichi and Gakuganji.Â
This would not only serve as an effective surprise attack, but also as a callback to when Nobara attacked Mahito with Resonance and through that helped Yuji regain some of his resolve and hope. This could happen once again, not just with Yuji but even more importantly also with Megumi.
I say this because in my opinion one thing has been lacking in Yujiâs conversation with Megumi: Hope. Yuji extended acceptance and compassion to his friend, but he didnât offer Megumi any hope or encouragement. It would be nice, if that is something Cursed Corpse Nobara could stir in Megumi.
Thanks for reading!

summer character ref!
i realized i never made a character ref for my self insert/oc so here it is <3 sheâs a part of the aot universe :3
more information about them under the read more, if you're interested! (it's long i am SORRY)
summary: born in the shiganshina district and part of the 104th cadet corps. they join the survey corps, and ultimately become a part of the special operations squad (squad levi). with a bit of naivety to them, they start off very hopeful for the future of paradis.
as she joins the survey corps, she is in charge of creating maps used for formations and battle strategies. there are also times where she helps in designing equipment, such as the executioner from hell (that large log device used to kill titans) and the new odm gear.
unfortunately, the pressure of dealing with titans on a regular basis, as well as the stressors from her personal life, start to plant a seed of uncertainty in her.
after sashaâs death, she loses a lot of meaningful connections with her friends. she begins to isolate herself and displays behaviors that are abnormal for her, such as excessive fear and panic.
additionally, she loses her ability to maintain a healthy day to day life. no one knows whatâs going on- sheâs met with resistance towards her âoddâ behaviors.
it all becomes too much. since she's unable to âquitâ, she runs away, living beyond the walls in a small cabin. she spends her days maintaining her land and learning how to become a fishmonger. her mental health improves slightly, but never really recovers.
occasionally they make trips into marley to sell their fish, forging documents that allow them into the nation. human interaction for them becomes far and few in between, usually only when they visit marley.
her visits to marley really open her eyes; seeing the worst of society. all the blame thatâs put on her people, all the injustice, the misinformation.
at first, she takes a neutral stance on the rumbling. ultimately though, she realizes that the rumbling is inhumane and needs to be stopped, so she helps out in the end. she doesnât fight directly, rather provides support on falcoâs jaw titan with levi and gabi.
combat/skills: truthfully, she is not an expert in using her odm gear, being one of the lowest performing students in her cadet days. for some reason, she is unable to get the complexities of the odm gear down, but manages well enough not to get chomped up.
for summer, she is relied upon more for her ability to create diagrams and maps that the survey corps would use, mainly for battle tactics and navigation. she was in charge of making maps for different squads, spending long nights carefully curating each drawing.
personality: summer has an innate curiosity and unique appreciation for the world. she feels a deep connection to nature, the stars, and the moon. she can also be very creative and has a profound love for art, especially paintings and sculptures.
when it comes to interacting with others, she is very shy and withdrawn, opting to avoid individuals rather than approach them. unfortunately, she doesnât trust easily, making it hard for her to form deep connections with others. nonetheless, she tries her best to be respectful and understanding.
she wants to be an optimist, but has had her hope taken many times, leading her to become increasingly pessimistic as time goes on. her world view can be very negative at times, especially during her visits to marley. but through it all, her love for the world never dissipates. to her, there is always something to find joy in.
appearance: her features are very round and soft. her eyes are an amber color, while her hair is an orange/redhead color. itâs styled to be in a wavy bob with bangs on the left side of her face.Â
summer is short in stature, no more than 5 feet tall. she has a very flat/emotionless expression most of the time, even when expressing intense emotion. she also has a hard time maintaining eye contact.
relationships: romantically involved with eren. they have known each other since they were children. as kids, they argued a lot, since summer and eren had similar personalities- the two of them being hotheads.Â
however, as they get older, their passion for the world brings them together. summer has a slight crush on eren during her cadet days, silently pining over him for years. after many awkward smiles and shy glances, eren drunkenly admits his feelings to summer at the party in marley, leading them to start dating.Â
while summer is living in the cabin, she doesnât see eren much. when eren becomes a wanted man, he randomly surprises summer with visits that can last a few days. unfortunately he canât stay for long, otherwise he risks the livelihood of both of them. the two of them simply appreciate the time they have together.
when eren starts the rumbling, they are still together, but summer completely disapproves of his actions, leaving their relationship in limbo (not that itâs that important at that point anyway.) she eventually decides she canât let him go on with the rumbling and aids in his death.
best friends with sasha. they met in the 104th cadet corps, and instantly became friends after sashaâs potato mishap. sasha and summerâs personalities mesh together perfectly. they stay close friends until sashaâs death, which becomes one of the breaking points for summer.
friends with jean and connie. sheâs not as close to them as she is with sasha, but she trusts them greatly and gets along with them very well. connie, sasha, and summer goof off a lot, while jean has to scramble to get everybody back on track. ultimately, the four of them have a solid bond.
aquaintances with mikasa and armin. despite interacting with them since she was a child, she doesnât know them extremely well. but she gets along with them just fine. she appreciates the level of care they have for eren.
mentored by levi. the two of them have a unique level of trust with each other. levi is familiar with summerâs outbursts and panics, and is able to calm her down alot, especially during battle. summer deeply trusts levi and looks to him for advice and navigating through life. a few sarcastic remarks from levi is all summer needs to push herself forward, or see things from a new perspective.
likes: mystery, thinking deeply, art, the moon and stars.
dislikes: loud noises, being alone, mirrors, and eye contact.
#ok uhh i didnt expect to write that much but lol#also i changed her hair!! i felt like this was much more natural so :>#attack on titan#aot#shingeki no kyojin#snk#art.exe#ocs#self insert#star divider by saradika

oh my god⊠i just read âthe most dangerous gameâ on ao3 and while i was at the part of where jade pretends to be floyd while they⊠ya know đ„Ž
i was listening to phantom of the operaâs âmedley : down once more / and track down this murdererâ. and i just wanna you to know the heavenly experience i had cause OH MY LAWD
(~5:35 in the song, which is the duet/ trio between the phantom, raoul [love interest] and christine [main girl] )
and i LOVE how beautifully it connects. with readerâs confusion about their sudden flooding thoughts of jade. why they keep thinking about him even though theyâre WITH floyd
while jade is going to the âpoint of no return,â he literally cant go back. hes pretending to be his brother to 1. plant more jade shaped seeds in their head & 2. HES LITERALLY FUCKING THEM AS HIS BROTHER WHO HE KNOWS THEY HAVE A CRUSH ON. so yeah: heâs literally crossing the âpoint of no return,â and he knows that. that this will either work out, or horrifically blow up in his face. but thatâs only if you found out âïžđČ
my favorite part is that when christine sings about the âangel of music.â the man [phantom] who was there in the shadows supporting her, yearning for her, loving her obsessively to the point it scared her (jade was much more discreet but thatâs not the point)
a bit later in the song she sings âangel of music you have deceived meâ and i LOVE how it timed up when i read it. and she goes about how âshe gave her mind blindlyâ
cause thatâs EXACTLY what happened. jade played and deceived reader like she was a piece on a chess board. she literally let him into her mind because she wanted floyd so badly. he literally took over her mind as her thoughts slowly started contain less floyd and more of jade.
also, in the way he deceived her; jade never was going to help them with floyd, and made that âcontractâ under false pretenses cause this was him making his attack. (ambush hunter, and you know that man was cooking shit up for months too, maybe it got sped up when reader wanted a job at monstro)
(this song also came again when reader and jade were in the ocean đșđ»đđ»đșđ»đđ» and ARGGHHH. iâm gonna lose my sanity im in love)
but also. the song before this is literally âthe point of no returnâ and reader the floyd part while listening to it was just spine chilling. but the icing on the cake for me was the medley đ€€
sorry for the long ask, but i just- iâm literally in love with your writing, the planning that goes into is just awe-inspiring. i love how you give us readers things at face value before revealing smthn HUGE but if you go back and reread youâre like âhow the FUCK did i miss thatâ, or when everything gets packaged in a nice little bow (so coquette đ€đ)
any ways, just wanted to share this with you! keep up the great workâŒïž (iâm foaming at the mouth for more jade)
:O :O :O :O !!!!!!!! AAAAAA THAT SONG AND THOSE MOMENTS FROM IT CONNECT SO PERFECTLY..... "plant more Jade-shaped seeds" omg that's so true. >_< he really did surpass the point of no return in that scene just to ensure you slowly but surely thought less of Floyd and more of him throughout the time you spend together. It was so high-stakes, too. Either it works wonderfully or, as you noted, it completely blows up in his face.
And you're right!!! Jade was never going to help you get closer with Floyd. He was willing to entertain and enable your obsession, but that's as much as he'll do. He's just in it for his own benefits and to hopefully twist your perception so that you might fall for him instead. He really was cooking that plan up months in advance. T^T what an evil eel... I love the Phantom of the Opera and its soundtrack,, <3 your ask reminded me of just how brilliant it is!!!! I need to listen to all of the songs again. >w<
Thank you for reading and enjoying tmdg!!!!! I'm happy you like the way I write. One of my favorite things to do is write scenes in which you can glean new information after a reread. >:D there are so many tiny details sewn into tmdg and topped off with a pretty bow!! Very coquette indeed!!!! (Ë Ë Ë)đ

MY 9/26 SJM LIVE Notes
***This is not a full summary of the live. Only some notes I took that I thought were the most interesting to me that I wanted to share. Everything is broken down based on the series mentioned and not in chronological order.
ACOTAR:Â
While she was working on the book sheâs writing right now, she spent a whole day writing a scene and thought it was dumb. She didnât believe it was even good enough for bonus scene materialÂ
Now that CC 3 is done, what are you working on now? SJM is working on drafting the next ACOTAR novel. Sheâs become so obsessed with writing this book that sheâs thinking about the book nonstop. Sheâs not sure when the draft will be completed
CC:Â
Huntâs parentage and origins: Readers will learn more about Hunt in the next book. SJM makes no promises for his well being
The Autumn king and possible connection to the Autumn Courtâ SJM knew who Bryceâs biological father was, but in the process of writing and editing, he became one of her favorite characters to write because heâs so horrible and is capable of doing the right thing but doesnât. SJM thinks itâs fun to put opposing characters like Bryce and Ruhn with the Autumn King. She didn't say anything about the Autumn Court
How much of Bryce's powers has she accessed? SJM said you will see in next book
We know magic is weaker in the modern world, does a mating bond mean the same thing in CC as in the ACOTAR books? SJM chose not to answer
Is Hunt really Bryceâs mate? SJM said yes they are mates and when she was creating the series she knew how ToG and ACOTAR went with their similar romance tropes. She wanted to do a doozy and make the guy in the beginning be the guy in the end for CC
ACOTAR/CC
Can we expect to see additional POVs from ACOTAR characters in HOFAS? She wouldn't say, but said you would see the ACOTAR world for sure and it will pick up after that final scene in HOSAB
SJM was asked if she still stood by her comment that people did not need to read ACOTAR to start CC. She did not stand by that statement. She said you should read ACOTAR, but for readers who havenât yet, she hopes they will get to the end of HOSAB and read itÂ
ACOTAR/ToG/CCÂ
Has SJM known all along about the idea of the worlds crossing? Was it intentional all those years ago? SJM claimed she is not a genius. Sheâs known for a while that the world overlapped even before working on KoA. CC was already a story in her mind so when she wrote the scene with Alien, she knew she wanted her to go through the ACOTAR world and thought it would be cool if she went through the CC world as well. For the most part, CC was a fun side project SJM wasnât taking super seriously at the time when writing ToG. When she was actually really working on CC, she began daydreaming about the idea of the worlds being connected. Out of the blue, everything clicked in terms of the worlds being truly connected based on what she had already written. Thatâs when she really started planting seeds for the worlds overlapping in the first CC novel
Other information I thought was fun or interesting not directly related to any of the series:Â
Taron calls SJM: Sarah J Mask. Taron is obsessed with TS and SJM said she is too. She's always loved TS, but now that Taron is obsessed with her, theyâve only listened to her music in the car. In the eyes of her son the only creative genius in the world is TS
SJM confirmed she doesnât use social media/lurk on the internet. Friends will text her theories from fans, but thatâs all she will seeÂ
She used to only edit physical copies of her manuscript and she remembers having tear stains on the manuscripts from crying. She loved seeing the tearmarkers showing just how much she loved the characters as she was rereading what she had written

Seed Starting for Beginners- another class I taught Pre-pandemic, edited down for posting here.Â
Seed Basics:
Anatomy: seeds basically consist of seed leaves (aka cotyledons), an embryo, and a seed wall. The cotyledons are food storage, and usually the first leaves that emerge and photosynthesize*. Seeds are dormant, but they are still alive and they are still exchanging gas (breathing) and using up energy stores. Ideally, most vegetable seeds are stored somewhere cold and dry. The colder and drier a seed is kept, the slower itâs metabolism, and the more vigorously it will sprout once conditions are correct (though, as this is biology, there are plenty exceptions- pawpaws come to mind). I keep my seed packets in a closed glass jar with a silica packet in my freezer. If you want to nerd out, hereâs a link to a pretty famous seed vault, where seeds are kept below 0 degrees fahrenheit: https://www.croptrust.org/our-work/svalbard-global-seed-vault/Â
Sprouting/germinating/breaking dormancy: For most vegetables, all that is needed for seeds to sprout is warmth and moisture. Some will germinate better in the dark, some will germinate better with light (the package will tell you what is needed). For fruits, herbs, and flowers, sometimes they will need additional steps, such as cold stratification, or breaking the seed wall.Â
Basics of Seed Starting:
Step one is to decide what you want to grow- vegetables, herbs, flowers?
Important questions:
What do I actually (want to) eat? (Ie, donât just grow radishes because theyâre easy- will you actually eat/enjoy it?). What would I eat more of if it werenât so expensive? Make a list.Â
What grows well here? What Hardiness/heat/climate zone are you in? Do you have microclimates to account for? What are they? Connect with your local extension office (in the US) to find out what grows well where you are and keys to success
Step two: Figure out when to start your seeds:
First, check the seed packet/website description and find your last frost date. Some plants, like broccoli, have a wide general time range to plant them in, but some varieties are meant for spring, or summer, or to overwinter. Itâs best to get the specific varietyâs information if possible.
If not that, then using a seed starting calculator like Johnnyâs is next best.Â
Or, go to a regional planting chart like Tilthâs. Or find your local extension office, they probably have a planting calendar.
Keep track of which ones are sown indoors, sown directly, and when the switch happens. For example, you can sow cucumbers a week or two before your last frost indoors, or a week after the last frost directly into the ground. Also note when plants started indoors should be transplanted outdoors
Consider the âwinter sowingâ technique- Basically, sowing seeds in mini greenhouses (aka, cloches), usually made from used plastic containers, and letting the seeds come up when they will. Makes very sturdy plants, might not get as early as a start.
Step Three: How?
Containers: Please use standard plastic tray, newspaper pots, peat plugs, used food containers, etc. that have a decent amount of space and adequate drainage.
Why not egg cartons/eggshells? Because they a) do not have enough space for seeds to do much more than sprout and b) the egg cartons tend to dry soil out very quickly.
Medium: Seed starting mix, potting soil, whatever, do NOT use garden soil without killing the weed seeds first. If you use a seed starting mix, keep in mind that it wonât have enough fertility to support the seedlings for very long. It is meant to be used to germinate seeds, and then have those seedlings transplanted into a richer mix to grow on. Also, I recommend NOT using coffee grounds as part of your seedling mix, because they have been shown to inhibit germination.
Which do well with transplant, which do not: (paper pots are great for those that donât like transplanting)
Take well to transplanting: brassicas (think broccoli family), nightshades (tomato family), leafy greens
Fussy and need help to transplant well: Squash, cucumbers, melons, etc
Just donât: carrots, beets, other root crops.
If they donât transplant well, focus on direct sowing. The above IS NOT an exhaustive list.
Light: Give them as much as possible, a south facing window, or indoor grow lights. If youâre using a light, look for one that says full spectrum, daylight, or says it is over 5000 kelvin.
The warmer you keep the seedlings, the brighter the light they need. Warmth determines their metabolism, and light is their fuel/food, so you can keep them from etoliating/stretching out by keeping them at cooler temperatures. Slower growth at the same light intensity yields sturdier seedlings. Keeping seedlings at cooler temperatures can help you get stocky, sturdy, vigorous plants. This is a really big key, so pay attention. A lot of people struggle with weak seedlings that have stretched out in their search for light, and that can be avoided if you match temperature to light levels.
Actually doing it:
Fill your container(s). Tamp down soil- movement of water depends on capillary action, which depends on the soil particles being close enough together. Consult package on depth, or use 3x diameter of seed. Plant. Water. Wait.Â
Watering: keep evenly moist, do not let them dry out. Not so much that itâs soggy though- so after you water they shouldnât be sitting in a puddle of water an hour later. I prefer to bottom water. To do that, put your container in a tray of water, and let it soak up. If youâve tamped it down properly, youâll see the surface moisten.Â
So theyâve sprouted, now what?Â
If youâre using a peat or commercial seed starting mix, it likely doesnât have enough fertility to support growth beyond the first few true seed leaves. That means that as soon as you see true leaves coming out, you have two choices: either use a water-soluble fertilizer, or gently transfer the seedlings to a more fertile soil mix.Â
The big day: planting outside!Â
Harden off first! The wee ones have been indoors, in very gentle conditions, and need to adapt to the outdoors environment before you transplant them out there. If you donât, the cold can harm them, and they can also get sunburnt, or even damaged by wind. Acclimate them by putting them outdoors for an hour the first day, a few hours the next, gradually increasing the amount of time they spend outdoors until a week or so has passed. DO NOT transplant out frost tender plants (nightshades, squashes, pumpkins, cucumbers, etc) until the danger of frost has passed (unless you have a tunnel or greenhouse).
Transplanting, general: Water plants well the day before. Pick a moderate time of day if itâs been hot. Prepare the hole- bigger than the pot was, and deeper if tomato or brassica. If itâs one that needs extra fertility, thoroughly mix in some compost (I use one to two shovelfuls of rich compost). Loosen the plant in the pot by gently squeezing or tapping, make sure the roots arenât circling (if they are, gently tease them apart), and put in hole. Back fill hole and press down. Water thoroughly.
For sensitive plants: all the above, but âmud inâ the plant, that is, water enough that water sits on the surface for at least 15 seconds. Cover- if itâs hot, a cardboard box or light sheet to shade, if itâs cool a bucket to hold in extra warmth.Â
Success through the summer:Â
Provide fertility: some plants, like potatoes and kale likely wonât need much additional fertility beyond whatâs already in your soil. Some crops, like corn, squash, and broccoli need a lot more fertility to make a decent crop. Either way, if you notice your plants arenât growing very well, itâs likely a matter of fertility- or watering.Â
I prefer to provide this fertility through composts & cover crops. You can also just use a balanced fertilizer, but look into mycorrhizae before you decide how to go about it. Whether itâs organic or not, itâs generally a good idea to follow the package directions for best results. Itâs just as easy to over fertilize and burn your plants as it is to under fertilize and get stunted growth.

WildWomen, WiseWomen & Witches - A new paradigm for Maiden, Mother & Crone
I run a small private group on FB with adjacent sites at IG & YouTube on the Feminine Divine - A safe space for women moving forward during a lot of cultural change. The following essay was written for my previous Patreon by the same name. I hope you enjoy
Maiden, Mother & Crone The times are changing⊠with the growing awareness of the spectrum that IS gender, the range and diversity of expression, the many colorful and unique voices that are part of our humanity, it is time to reevaluate in our ongoing effort to Restore the Goddess, some of the more traditional forms perhaps needing a bit of an update to evolve into a more inclusive and embraceable form of the Feminine Divine.
I have spoken to many women over the decades who have expressed great dissatisfaction with the Great Goddess archetypes of Maiden, Mother and Crone. From discussion on the fact that a Maiden does not mean virgin, to the ageism that is intrinsic in the form of the Crone to the feminist movements of the 70s that exalted the independent woman, not for her womb, but for her intelligence and power and to many other patriarchal nomenclature we can no longer embrace.
It might be a time for a deeper dive into this concept and new ways to embrace the concepts represented. For quite some time, I have chosen agrarian terms to express this 3-Fold Goddess⊠with the sprout of a plant being the maiden, the bloom or fruit of a plant being the mother and the seed itself, in the dark earth, the crone. This is a really lovely way to approach the energies of the Goddess, but more importantly, we must examine the various thresholds that are part of our feminine experience, expressed in divine form.
We are WildWomen, WiseWomen and Witches⊠Maiden: I think of the Maiden archetype as ripe with youth, empowered by passion and dancing precariously on a precipice of life & death⊠challenging mortality with an independent spirit, self-assured and maybe even cocky, with a deep connection to Nature that will remain throughout her days. She is like Diana of the Forest and a sister of the Dryads, fierce and untamed. She is a WildWoman, young and with lots of energy, driven by a rather naĂŻve sentiment retained from childhood, but coming face to face with her own powerâŠthe New Witch just beginning to blossom on her path and deepen her connection with herself by connecting to nature. She is the seed of the WiseWoman and will hold fast all the experiences of this time in her life as they inform her future. If you are in the Maiden phase, how you relate to the Mother or Crone (Blossom and Seed, Young Woman and Mature Woman) will be different in these years⊠The Mature Woman will be a mother or a mentor and the Crone will be an elder who perhaps you have been taught to respect, or have chosen to honor because of a special connection, like a grandmother or teacher.
Mother MotherâŠWe must never allow this role to be devalued. Being a Mother, bearing a child is a phenomenal and life-changing experience. As a single mom, I have great respect for the responsibility that comes with this and as the daughter of an amazingly spiritual woman, I am thankful for how I have been âmotheredâ, but just like me, my mother was a woman first. And not every woman chooses to be a mother. That does not make her any less of a woman. This is the one âconceptâ within the 3-Fold Goddess that has become the most problematic, at least at this moment in time. How many young, fertile women hear âwhen are you going to have a kidâ? OR âwhen are you going to settle down and start a familyâ. These are patriarchal remnants of a cultural fabric that is unravelling, so it is incumbent on us to weave a new and stronger tapestry that honors women as autonomous, unique and sacred beings.
So, how do we redesign? Blossom for Mother is a simple start, but letâs examine the period of life that Motherhood encompasses. I use the term âmatureâ woman because she is no longer an ingenueâ. She has experiences under her belt that make her wiser, more discerning, but perhaps not yet free or even finished with patterns and habits that inhibit her growth. She has greater resources, more refined desires and hopefully, a strong support system not only of family, but other strong and confident women. I think of Hera and Brigid, but also of figures like Mary Magdalene and the Goddess Sophia, perhaps the most supernal expression I know of Feminine Wisdom besides Shekinah.
The Mother is the âPresenceâ of the Goddess, comprised of the experiences of her youth while shaping the events of her future, preparing for a time when life will slow down, her responsibilities will diminish and the body will need more rest. As someone who is knocking on the door of the Crone (delightfully so, I might add) how I now relate to those in their âSproutâ or seedling phase as more than one generation removed, as the âyounger generationâ to whom we must provide as much support as we can. As I leave this sense of âmotherâ albeit raising my grandchild, I see more with the eyes of the CroneâŠ
As a mature woman, I engage with the Goddess much differently than I did as a young woman. Then, she was the Great Mother Isis and the Independent Goddess Diana⊠I looked up to Her, sought Her guidance. Now, I think of Isis as my sister. It was actually a very natural development. When I work with Hekate, I go to Her Hearth, sit beside the fire for a spell and converse with Her as if She was my older and wiser sisterâŠ.
Crone And now, when I work with the Crone, I see a true WiseWoman, shaped by her experiences and allowing life to flow gracefully and eternally, awakening to worlds not only beyond death, but beyond time, space, perspectiveâŠ. The Crone is the Elder, the Sage, the Seer, the Shaman, the WiseWoman in the Woods. Her knowledge is buried deep in the earth, where the seed of âAll-Potentialâ lies dormant from one season to another, always part of the cycle⊠what must it be like beyond this dimension? Does the same cycle apply?
So The Great Goddess is all these things⊠She is Maiden, Mother, Crone, Daughter, Sister, LoverâŠ. Provider, Savior, DestroyerâŠ. I encourage you to start embracing a more inclusive paradigm, not just the politically correct terms, but the ones formed in compassion and empathy for all human life. That is why I chose Sprout, Blossom and Seed. My Blossom is fading, but the seeds that will result will help create a new generation of love and hope.

the angel numbers that you see are not just co incidences, no, nope. they mean something. they are a reminder! they are a sign!!
Thank you for the reading the fact that I kept on seeing 111 and 1111 in clock â° I felt like I was over observing but since I k wht this number means? Could u share how u decipher 1 angel number :)
Thank you
i like this question! well firstly, i believe that it really does depend on your situation and life. & it could mean a bunch of different things. But lets start with what the number 1 itself indicates the number 1 represents sun, it represents the self, it represents new beginnings, opportunities, it also talks about in on the right path, being right, etc. but cryst what does all that mean? well the sun means; that this number is ruled by a sun & therefore is infused with energies of the sun and that makes it energetic, confident, charismatic, success/ victory, joy, rising up/ new beginnings, etc. the self means that this number is associated with self-image, your surroundings, it talks about you, who you are & what/where you desire to be. new beginnings & opportunities: they do speak for themselves. (it is the FIRST number in order and therefore it shows beggings and offers, as it opens the door for other numbers) seeing this number over and over could indicate that something new is about enter your life. (well its not necessarily always talking about a person or a job offer, it could be a new habit, a new idea/ thought, could be any sort of new beginnings) being on the right path/ correct : again something that speaks for it self, (i interpret it like this because it written as a straight single line, indicating being on the right track or being correct because there is no other line that shows that there is no bs, no other choices, just one path/one option) (now all that is left is to put all this information together it might be that not everything is meant for you, and thats why you are supposed to use your intuition while decoding the messages from the universe as well as combining it with other signs that you see would be the cherry on top!) NOWW! what i think it means for you: being on the right track/ a sign to continue what you've recently started . what im picking up for you is aries energy with the number 1 (obv cause it is the first sign in the zodiac) the aries energy (that im picking up) is all about enthusiasm, energy, the willingness to do stuff and even being okay with change. (this is either something that you need to embody/ the path that you are supposed to choose or you've already and its a reminder to keep going cause you are on the right track! keep going even if you don't see results yet. you could be going through alot of self doubt and this number is asking you to believe in yourself and build that self confidence. hard work must pay off, right? why are you so worried when you're already working so hard. one day your dream must come true (maybe that day is a couple years later, or just a couple months later, you don't know and nor can anybody forsee it for you. the thing you must keep in mind is you worked for it and have no regrets about it. be confident and be proud. i know we didn't even touch the 111 and 1111s but this already looks alot, the basic meaning of the two is :(quoted from allure.com) " relish the opportunity to make a wish, set an intention, or plant a seed, as this is believed to indicate a "greenlight" from the universe. You are working with extraordinary support from your angels, guides, or ancestors, so â at that moment â the present and future are dynamically connected" and here's the basic meaning that everybody talks about 111: on the right track 1111: wishes come true 111+1111= you are on the right track for making your wishes come true (i like how this is also what i mentioned before) anyways i hope you enjoyed this post and it resonated, so please do lmk your thoughts as well ! and have a great day these are mostly how I interpret my information!

Good morning đ guys
Today message is the changing times.
If we should remove petrol ✠, electricity, from our world đ overnight we all would be riding a donkey by tomorrow.
Businesses have bin around from earlier days underlined as commerce.
Trading in many countries have bin done in many forms, from using sea shell's đ untill money was first invented in the form of coins.
Paper money came in after.
But during the 60s many big business failed over time as time as change, then commerce had a new direction, competition making the start of increase knowledge, and the rat race begins.
Over the last 30 years this has developed the world đ we are now apart of. But the sad part was while the world is becoming modern, it changes the state of consciousness in the human minds. Love, respect, mannerisms, kindness, and the connections with the ecosystems is lessened.
So the world become selfish, hate, envy, and unloved.
Today I would share a few ideas that young Youtubers like myself and other online businesses can try in growing there business
5 years ago it was cool to just post or advertise your business online.
In this competitive world, one main tool you need to use is kindness, like what I am now doing: Quora, Tumblr, WordPress.com, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram are some of the top platforms to work with. But the trick is communication, it does takes time to grow your focus, but first you need to spent time watching other videos, and comment, subscribe and these people will eventually become apart of your group or niche. Take that time to spend with others around the world, share ideas, and overtime it will all fall into place. Kindness planting seeds.
I hope this information was helpful.
God bless and keep safe guys.
I share this link from one member of my niche or group.
One love â€.

Powerful Plant Magic with the Allies Already Around You
MARCH 25, 2024Â BY SANDRA KYNE
Throughout most ancient cultures, people believed plants to be magical and, in many cases, used them as much for ritual as they did for medicine and food. Although plants had a wide range of mundane uses, people must have felt that there was something more, something mystical about them that touched their psyches. Witches, and anyone who takes time to slow down and observe, can see and sense that the green world is enchanting and powerful. Even plants that may seem so familiar and ordinary can be surprisingly magical.
The witches, the wise women and men were the people to whom villagers went to for medicine, magic, and advice. In addition to knowing what to use, the wise folk knew when plants came into leaf, when they bloomed, and produced seed or fruit. The witches and wise folk of the past lived with the rhythms of the seasons, and while they may have gotten their hands on some plants from afar, they used them within the context of their world. Of course, we can nip out to the store or go online and buy whatever we want regardless of the season, but when you start thinking seasonally and locally about the plants you use for magic, their wisdom begins to speak to you.
When you work with plants within the context of the seasons, you learn how their cycles progress month by month. Basing at least some of your magical use of plants within the seasons also aids in developing more meaningful ways to connect with the green world, nature spirits, and the realm of the faeries. This, in turn, gives your rituals and magic more continuity and a natural flow as the wheel of the year turns. Working with the seasons also connects you through time with your ancestors and all the wise folk of the past.
Thinking locally for magic goes hand-in-hand with the local food movement, which is not only associated with more healthy foods but also considered more environmentally sustainable. Whether it's plant material for food or magic work, it's a win-win with less energy spent transporting it and fewer people handling it. Of course, everything can be energetically cleansed for magic, but it's something to think about.
This isn't to suggest that every plant you use for magic or the dining table ought to be locally sourced; after all, this is the twenty-first century and we have access to so much that can expand our magical work in so many ways. But, getting to know the plants that have been in your area for ages can foster a special connection with the spirit of the land. Even if you live in a city (I lived in Manhattan for a number of years), you may be surprised at what and where you find native plants.
Google It! To get started, all you have to do is what we all do when we have a question: we Google it. A simple internet search for native plants according to your state or region will give you a wealth of information. You will do more than discover the plants of your area; you will also find how they have supported native wildlife for thousands of years. This is especially important if you have a garden or yard. The small choices you make to fill a flower border or supplement a group of shrubbery can have a profound impact on the local food web. It doesn't matter whether you have a garden or flowerpots on a porchâbutterflies and other wildlife will find what they need. We often talk about the interconnected web of life, and by working with native plants we can talk the talk and walk the walk.
Some garden favorites have wild cousins that fit nicely into a tamer environment. The columbine is a good example. The wild columbines (Aquilegia canadensis and A. Formosa) can hold their own amongst the varieties bred for the garden. The genus and common names for columbine were derived from the Latin aquila, meaning "eagle," and columba, "dove."1 Not only does this juxtaposition of symbolism bring balancing energy, but it also works separately. providing support for courage and the ability to make peace.
The common violet (Viola sororia), the sweet violet (V. odorata), and the sweet white violet (V. blanda) are wildflowers that have been invited into the garden. Loved for their heart-shaped leaves, the sweet violets have been adored for their scent since ancient times. In medieval Europe, they were used to scent linens and in later centuries, the dried flowers were sent as mementos in love letters. Think again if you regard these small, delicate flowers as lightweights, because they can pack a punch for banishing spells and breaking hexes, too.
Toss Caution to the Wind Instead of planning where to plant things, toss caution to the wind, and the powers of magic, by scattering a wildflower mix that is appropriate for your region. Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) is often used in seed mixes. It's a plant of the centaur that, according to Greek legend, Chiron used to heal the wound of a poison arrow. This plant's beautiful blue flowers are associated with happiness and love, and like daisies, they were used for love divination by pulling off the petals one-by-one. Speaking of daisies, you may also get ox-eye daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare), shasta daisies (Leucanthemum x superbum), or other quintessential white daisies in a wildflower mix. As an alternative to plucking their petals, place a small piece of root under your pillow to dream of someone you love. Daisies are especially helpful for contacting and working with nature spirits and faeries.
Poppies are also included in some wildflower mixes. The common red poppy (Papaver rhoeas) is associated with witches and goblins and is an excellent plant to use in defense and protection spells. A few poppy seeds placed under the pillow is an aid for dream work. This flower is also instrumental for luck and prosperity spells.
When Ordinary Is Extraordinary While Gandalf said that, "power can be held in the smallest of things," so, too, can a very common plant hold a great deal of power. Perhaps one of the most common plants considered as mundane and often maligned is the dandelion (Taraxacum officinale). We played with them as children, blowing on the seedheads and making wishes, but adulthood set in as well as a prejudice against these little bursts of sunshine. Aligned with Brigid and Hecate, the dandelion can enhance your psychic abilities and boost protection spells. Okay, so you may not want to plant them in your yard, but no doubt some will find their way to you on their own.
Maples (Acer spp.) are some of the most common trees and you may have one or two in your yard or a nearby park. Don't walk by and overlook them for magic. Maples are especially powerful for attracting abundance; use a little maple syrup and visualize the sweetness of life. They are also helpful for releasing what you no longer need, including sorrow.
Connection Perhaps most of all, working with native plants establishes a strong connection with the natural world on a deep, soul level. This connection helps us access different levels of awareness that bring deeper significance to our lives and our magic. It fosters an awareness of something greater than ourselves and helps us recognize that we are a part of it. Working with local plants according to season also brings us full circle to connect with the wise folk of the past.

As a mission-driven company focused on connecting small-scale farmers and food makers directly to consumers, we make sure that anyone who wants to shop for fresh, locally produced food can do so at our farmers markets. Thatâs why we participate in a range of programs that make wholesome food more accessible to low-income members of the community. For both current participants and non-participants in these programs, here is a brief ârefresher courseâ and background on them, as well as details about the issuance of 2023 Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons which begins today Thursday, June 1st. SNAP EBT Here in the United States, more than 34 million people are food insecure, with 1 in 8 children experiencing hunger every day. To help address this massive nationwide issue, the Food Stamp Program was created in 1939 by the Roosevelt administration. Today, that program is known as SNAP. SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and has become the largest federal nutrition assistance program since its inception. SNAP serves every community in the U.S. and helps millions of Americans buy healthy food each year. With the discontinuation of paper vouchers, SNAP benefits are now issued electronically via an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. An EBT card functions much like a debit or ATM card that directly withdraws funds from the users SNAP account when they purchase food at participating establishments. SNAP EBT is accepted at all Down to Earth Farmers Markets. A purchaser simply brings their card to the managerâs tent to make their withdrawal, then is given $1 and $5 tokens to use for shopping. They will also be given bonus vouchers to be used at the farmers market to increase their buying power. What can I purchase with SNAP EBT in Down to Earth Markets?
Breads and cereals
Fruits, vegetables and herbs
Meats, fish and poultry
Dairy products
Non-alcoholic drinks
Herbs, spices, condiments, oils and vinegars
Prepared food intended to be heated at home
You can also purchase seeds and plants, which produce food for your household to eat
What canât I purchase with SNAP EBT in Down to Earth Markets?

FMNP
The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) subsidizes fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables for select populations -- specifically those enrolled in WIC (Women, Infants and Children) and Seniors (aged 60+), who can get coupons via seniorsâ centers. These booklets of five $25 vouchers are good in 2023 starting today, Thursday, June 1st for WIC participants and Saturday, July 1st for Seniors. They expire on November 30th.
The dual purpose of FMNP is to provide economic support to local farmers by expanding their sales at farmers' markets and farm stands, and to foster healthy communities through the consumption of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.

While i understand wanting to cover the seasonal flower gaps, wouldnât the native animals (the ones you would presumably be trying to help, as non natives that survive are usually pretty hardy and generalist anyways) be adapted to those conditions?
And ofc be careful what you plant no matter what. Just especially so for non native plants. Wouldnât be very nice to plant blackberries and raspberries where they would grow over a sidewalk and you have to make sure whatever you plant is a relatively harmless non native if thats what you go with.
I also noticed with the two native invasives listed. Yeah they have the same root cause. People suck and got rid of keystone predators. Humans can at least try to replicate the population control on deer, but Iâm not so sure thereâs as many volunteers for grabbing urchins, especially since they offer significantly less and harder to reach meat
Not sure why I'm the one you sent this to, but let's discuss!
Native animals would be adapted to those gaps, but there's a few things to consider. First off, the range of native plants is far greater than the number sold in nurseries, or the ones considered good candidates for people's gardens. Some look unappealing to the general populous, some don't do well in typical garden settings, some do too well, and some people are afraid of because they're poisonous. So when, say, a new development gets put in, oodles of native species are displaced, and only a fraction of the native species will be able to survive or thrive in the conditions that were newly created. Therefore, even though it's not my stance, I could see people trying to lengthen the bloom period by bringing in non-natives.
On the other hand, and I think this is an aspect that gets overlooked, bloom times are shifting for species that start flowering based on temperature. If the insects that depend on them aren't coming out of hibernation or whatever at the right time, it's feasible that there might be a mismatch between when the flowers are blooming and when the animals need them (same goes for caterpillar hostplants and time of leaf out, I'd imagine). I think I've read of examples, but I'm sick right now so I'll let someone else hunt them down. I could thus see people trying to help by bringing in different species, but that would likely only work for generalists, not specialists. I am not saying that I do this, but I could see people trying.
But the real reason why most people plant non-natives is two-fold, and has nothing to do with native species: it is what they're used to and is widely available, and also they're pretty. Which again, does not make them bad people, just people with different goals than me. I will encourage the planting and caretaking of native species, but I'm not going to try and shame someone who plants a rose.
As far as careful, I think different people have different ideas of what that means. One person might look up their local noxious weeds list, while another might rely on bad press to inform them, while a third gets very excited and learns about keystone species and specialist species. The key is being willing to learn, I think. Also I quite appreciate the people in my town who planted raspberries within reach of the sidewalk- they're intentionally building connection and a culture of generosity ( and they are very careful to make sure the sidewalk's accessibility isn't impaired). Similarly, I've known people who had an invasive species that spread by seed only, and they kept it contained by clipping of the flowers before they could set seed. I wouldn't trust myself with that, personally, because I know I've got a bad memory and a tendency to take on more than I reasonably can manage. Which is why I personally tend to stick to natives that can thrive in the conditions I can provide them, edible things, and things like crocuses which have a long history of doing no harm while also taking no work.
But I've also had people tell me I shouldn't grow kale even though I eat quite a bit of it, or scream at me for planting walking onions because they thought they would be highly invasive and take over (when in reality here they need to be tended or they quickly get overrun).
It's not that people suck, it's that a few (colonizing) people got scared or greedy. There were bounties set on wolves, both because of propaganda (they'll eat your kids!) and because ranchers were losing money due to livestock losses. On top of that, when the US government slaughtered the massive herds of bison to take away a food source from the native peoples, they also took away a food source of the wolves. European ranchers wanted the land for their herds, and they removed both the people and the wolves.
That's not "people suck" that's "colonizers and viewing the land as something to be exploited instead of stewarded and taken care of sucks". It is the whole colonial view of extracting the value from the land with a short term, profit-motivated perspective, instead of realizing you're part of the ecosystem.
Sea otters were the victim of greed and fashion. Again, with the exploiting, short-term profit model. Thankfully, their population levels are rebounding due to hunting bans, conservation efforts, and reintroduction programs, but they're not back completely yet and now they face other challenges. Also, sea urchins are considered a delicious food to the point that in some areas there's starting to be concerns about overfishing.
But those do back up my main point, which is that the invasive species are a symptom, not the cause, of ecological disruption, and are a result of mismanagement and neglect of the lands we inhabit.
