#I know that 'bug' is already a defined term (i.e. hemiptera) but I've seen people use it to refer to anything from like#just insects to flatworms(????)#so obviously the colloquial usage is a bit different than the phylogenetic usage#bugs#insects#I mostly use it just for arthropods (crabs are bugs. to me.) but I'll throw snail pics into my bug tag on tumblr#makes things easier to categorize#gabeposting
