I'm coming around on the name Herbert, mainly by either rationalizing it as either a middle name (Ludwig Herbert Humbolt) or something OR, far sillier, he changed his identity to avoid the police, and because he's terrible at naming things, he settled on Herbert Ludwig of all things (rather impulsivly too). Not to also mention the fact that one can just ignore it since it's like C-tier levels of canonicity (said in an Email and not in like a comic/short)... However that still doesn't stop the blast of psychic damage that happens when I see people referring to this thing as "Herbert"
