#I mean sure a wheelchair makes a ton more sense than a hanging chair

Entirely plausible that you've already thought of it, but I would strongly recommend tiling/waterproofing and putting a drain in the floor of the laundry room that connects to the sewer. Maybe I just have an irrational fear of leaking washer machines, but for me, protecting against water damage/already having a drain was the main reason I put the laundry in the basement (I have the option/hookups to put it on the second floor where my main living space is, but the potential water damage.... 😬). I also don't trust the clearly "mickey-moused" hookups that are upstairs in my house, but that's beside the point.
On the inspector gadget notes, I dunno. I think installing a ceiling track through the entire house so that you could have a "Oh shit POTS" hanging chair wherever you needed it would be rather fun. And you can't tell me that the crow brain wouldn't love having a swing in any spot it wanted it. 😁
Once I get a washer and dryer on the main floor of the house instead of the basement, it's over for you hoes. (The laundry pile, my executive dysfunction, and POTS)
#I mean sure a wheelchair makes a ton more sense than a hanging chair#but it's not nearly as fun#with a little ingenuity and a couple motors you now have a chair that goes up and down stairs#no need for a basket when you can just put stuff on your lap!#But anyway#I definitely think every laundry room should be treated like a walk in shower#waterproof base pan and all#but it probably is overkill
