Aug ABSOLUTELY deserves the praise, @ryukikit. St. Augustine Alligator Farm is one of my favorite animal facilities, hands down. It's a pretty zoo, doable in an afternoon if you kinda like crocodilians, or an all day affair if you REALLY like crocodilians. Here are my favorite things about it and why I think it's worth supporting.
1. They keep animals in interesting social groups.
Crocodilians are heavily involved parents, but most places that breed them don't have the enclosure space to let the babies stay with the parents. St. Augustine does. One of my favorite groups was their crĂšche of slender-snouted crocodiles. They had the parents and then a yearling cohort and a new hatchling cohort. This aligns with how these guys live in the wild- the babies stick around longer! They have the space for it, and they are very in tune with the social needs of their animals.
Very, very few zoos can keep their baby crocs with the adults and still perform maintenance and animal health checks safely. This doesn't mean these facilities are bad- it just means that they have different management practices. And frankly, a lot of these species aren't frequently bred elsewhere. Your average zoo doesn't need a setup where you can have a multiyear crĂšche for slender-snouted crocodiles. Some species have better success when the young are pulled early, and some zoos are better set up to raise out any offspring separately or behind the scenes. Every facility's practices are different, and this just happens to work well at St. Augustine and be really enjoyable to see as a zoo patron.
Crocodilians are exceptional parents and very protective. It's a sign of incredible animal management practices and animals that feel very comfortable with staff that St. Augustine can do this with nearly every species they breed.
2. They understand the social needs of their animals.
Some crocodilians are social. Some are solitary. Some can live happily with a member of the opposite sex but get territorial around members of the same sex. St. Augustine pays incredible attention to their social groupings to ensure that they aren't just meeting the animals' physical health needs but their social needs as well. They do continuous scientific research about social structures in crocodilians, taking blood samples to test stress hormones and observing stress behaviors to see how group dynamics change.
For example, St. Augustine is home to one of the world's largest known living saltwater crocodiles, Maximo. And his comparatively tiny mate, Sydney. During the educational presentations with these two, they point out that even their monster of a croc needs his social group- he won't eat if she's not around and he is calmer during medical checks if he can see her. These animal share a deep and special pair bond, and they make sure to talk about how the social aspect of these animals' lives is integral to their care. It's a unique aspect of the way they talk about these animals, because he IS a spectacle and he IS a sensation, but they don't talk about him like he's a mindless killing machine- they talk about him like he's a big, complex predator with social needs like any other animal. Aug is the only facility I've been to where the emotional and social needs of crocodilians is part of the education they provide guests- and speaking of education...
3. Their demos and presentations are extremely good.
The presentations at St. Augustine are some of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen literally hundreds of animal talks on everything from aardvarks to zebras. But as you... can probably tell from my blog content, I've spent a lot of time learning about and working with reptiles. I really enjoyed all of their presentations because they are very scientific about things and avoid sensationalism. They really want you to be fascinated by these creatures and love them- but more than anything else, they want you to respect them.
Also, they do a really good job handling their ambassadors. I really enjoyed something as simple as watching an educator tell us about snakes. Throughout the whole presentation she made sure that most of the snake's body was looped in her hand. The snake was always supported and was very calm. She gave the snake plenty of head room so that it didn't feel constricted- it was just good handling all around.
But also, the presentations made it clear how much the park cares about the animals' well-being. When they do the feeding and training presentations, they make it very clear that the animals' participation is entirely voluntary. They do things differently for their 9-foot saltie and their 16-foot saltie, because the 16-footer is so large and heavy he actually struggles walking on land sometimes. They adapt their programs and his care to ensure that he's completely comfortable- and he didn't actually participate in the whole feeding when I was watching! At no point did they try to push him into anything uncomfortable; they offered, he didn't engage, and they moved on. It was a clear expression of his boundaries, and I really appreciated how much his caretakers respected that.
4. Ethical Interactions
I've been to... a lot of tourist locations in Florida that have animals you can hold. Almost always against my will! Many of them are pretty terrible, and you don't actually learn much, if anything. But I really found that to not be the case at St. Augustine. Every single animal presentation and interaction opportunity was accompanied by education about the animal's biology, habits, and- crucially- their conservation status.
When I held a baby alligator at St. Augustine, the proctors- there were two, one to ensure I was holding the gator correctly and the other to educate- were very informative about the role alligators play in their ecosystem and their conservation history. The animals were all properly banded, and one of the two proctors was there to ensure that none of the baby alligators were uncomfortable. As soon as they started getting squirmy or tense, they were removed, unbanded, and taken to an off-exhibit area to relax. And when the babies age out of petting size, they just go in the lagoon to live with others of their species. I saw one upset alligator the entire time I was there, and he was clearly upset that his escape attempt was foiled by a keeper during my nursery tour.
Even though he's restrained in this shot, you can see that his full body and tail are supported, and the grip, while firm, is gentle. He's distressed, but after I took this picture, she put him in his enclosure and he calmed down immediately.
Sometimes when you have petting attractions with baby animals, those animals... don't have a happy ending. (See: cub petting.) But St. Augustine's program is fine- the gators are all aged out of wanting to have mom around, there's no declawing/defanging, and they're handled with care. And it's worth it, because people love what they understand. St. Augustine was integral in raising public awareness about alligators back in the 60s when they were endangered, and now they're thriving- largely in part to programs like St. Augustine getting people to care.
And speaking of getting people to care, let's talk about their research.
5. Shared Research Results
St. Augustine is also home to more species of crocodilian than anywhere else in North America- all of them, usually. (They didn't have a Tomistoma when I visited- that may have changed.)
Because of this species diversity, it's an incredible research resource. Having every species means that you can do a lot of work comparing their behaviors, their growth patterns, and more. They've been a major research site for crocodilian biology since the 1970s. Today, they're one of the key sites for studying crocodilian play and social behaviors. They actually maintain a blog where they post copies of papers that were written using their animals, meaning that you can actually see the results of the research your admission helps fund. You can see that right here: https://www.alligatorfarm.com/conservation-research/research-blog/
All of this adds up to a zoo that provides a unique experience, tons of actual education, and transparency about what its research and conservation steps actually are. St. Augustine's come a long way since its opening in 1893, and they really do want you to leave with a new respect for the animals they care for. Ultimately, if you're a fan of reptiles, you can feel good about visiting the St. Augustine Alligator Farm- their care and keeping are top of the line, they do a ton of innovative conservation research and support for conservation organizations, and you can see this animal there:

With nothing else to do, I ended up editing Colette's late brother. Why? Just felt like it. Plus, as I delve deeper into her story, her brother will be mentioned more often. For emotional reasons, I thought it would be nice to start introducing him.
Later on, I also plan to introduce other secondary characters that I planned offline for New Gen even before the game was released. To summarize, they are family and friends of my three girls. Creating OCs is delightful and everyone loves it.
Without further ado...
This was Dante Lebarde, Colette's older brother, the reason she is passionate about astronomy and hot chocolate. Besides enjoying the vastness of space and all its mysteries, he was a very calm guy, the famous mediator, who tries to make everyone's life lighter and simpler. He had a degree in gastronomy and worked as a sous-chef* in a 3-star restaurant.
Going back to the past, shortly after little Colette was born, their parents had a colossal fight and not only did they divorce, but they also didn't want to know about their two children anymore, so they left them to be raised by their paternal grandfather, Charles Lebarde (yes, the professor of Ancient and Medieval Art at Anteros Academy). Feeling obviously abandoned, he didn't want his little sister to have to deal with the same heavy emotional burden that he had to deal with as she grew up, so, with a little help from their grandfather, he always made sure to be around and take care of Colette. They grew up very close.
Dante died at the age of 27, being hit by a bullet in a robbery that took place at the restaurant where he worked. One of the customers that day had a baby and went into a complete panic when the robbers entered, threatening everyone. Dante tried to help her calm down so as not to attract trouble, but it was too late, he ended up being shot in her place.
Additional information (that I was too incompetent to fit into the text):
Dante was 8 years older than Colette.
He was engaged and was going to get married at the end of that same year to his girlfriend who had been with him since high school. (She still hasn't recovered from the whole thing and ended up getting closer to Colette during the mourning period. The two still treat each other as sisters-in-law. I plan to make a post introducing this girl in the future too, I'm just not sure whether to redo her design, update it to match New Candy's base, or keep it as it is.)
He was pansexual.
As already mentioned, he had a special passion for astronomy, and this hobby was passed on to him by his mother. He was very sad that they had lost contact but believed in catharsis. He hoped that one day the stars would align and they could at least become close again. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.
His favorite type of food was seafood.
Although he was a very skilled chef, he was terrible with artistic notions in terms of the harmony of a well-presented dish. Interior decoration as well, consequently, but that's another story. So, when he created a new dish, he focused more on the taste; it was the chef's job to make it look good, ironically. Colette didn't care about this; she found it very fun to cook with her brother and joke about who decorated the cupcake the worst.
He loved listening to the sounds his sister produced. It was he who gave her the nudge to take it seriously as a profession.
For some reason, he was obsessed with reptiles. He liked them more than furry animals. In fact, he had two pet snakes, a Ball Python* named Nova and a Boa Constrictor Imperator* named Nebula.
The base and most of Dante's clothes I got from this VK group. As for the hair and facial details, I found them in the Castiel base Drive that @candysweetposts made.
Glossary:
Sous-chef*: Of French origin, sous-chef literally means under-chef. He is the second in command of a professional kitchen and, therefore, answers only to the chef. Thus, this figure also represents an authority to the other team members.
Ball Python*: Also known as a royal python, it is a popular species due to its relatively small size and docile temperament.
Boa Constrictor Imperator*: A subspecies of the boa constrictor, generally bred in captivity and appreciated for its relatively docile nature.

Let's talk about Ice Dragon
I mean.. this thing is literally my namesake! Let me give it recognition.
I know I frequently post about characters such as Susie, Magolor and Marx, and yet I have "icedragonlizard" as my username which would imply that I should be more all over this big chubby blue dinosaur.
Funny of me to be acting the way I do.
However... despite seldom talking about him, I do love this thing.
I chose this username for two reasons: 1.) to stand out and 2.) while Ice Dragon may not necessarily be my top favorite character in all of Kirby, it is however one of my very favorite designs in the series!
I adore the appearance of this big cute silly thing.
He's big. He's chubby. He's blue. He looks very squishy. I want to hug him even if he'd bite me or turn me into an ice cube. He just straight up looks like a dinosaur, despite having dragon in his name. This is like the perfect sort of kawaii dinosaur design you'd expect in Kirby.
He looks like the substitute decoy from pokemon, LOL.
We don't have much reptiles in Kirby. There's also Landia, of course, which is another dragon. And there are also Galbos, an enemy species with evolved variants such as Galboros. I've noticed the visual similarities that Ice Dragon has to Galbos. May they be related at all?
I think the biggest problem with Ice Dragon is that he... isn't much of a character. He's very under-utilized. As far as I know, all his main appearances are: a boss in Dream Land 2 where he debuted, he's a painting that Adeleine summons in Dream Land 3, 64 and Star Allies (the former two as bosses, the latter as playable), he's a hologram in Planet Robobot, and if I'm not mistaken he also shows up in the clash games. I've never actually played the clash games but I've seen images of him in it.
And the fact he sadly has little recognition in the fandom in general.
He's much less major than other boss characters like Whispy Woods and Kracko. At least those two show up in like almost every game.
He doesn't even have a mask of his likeliness in Merry Magoland!
At least he does appear in the anime, though. I think it was cool the way they handled him, where they gave him a small version and then he just grew really gigantic.
There's unfortunately just very little to work with or talk about with Ice Dragon. One can try to rectify this with headcanons, which I've tried.
I do have headcanons for him.... it's just not a ton due to how little and minor of a character he is. For one, I headcanon that he's the king of whatever is Popstar's main snowy/arctic area, whether that be Iceberg (from DL2 and DL3) or White Wafers (from RTDL). And I imagine he's friends with King Dedede or at least gets along with him well, since they both serve as kings in their respective lands. Adeleine and the animal friends may know him and get along with him well, too, since the former even has paintings of him that she can summon.
If Ice Dragon was more major than he is... if they made him a more frequent boss and did more with him, I'd be all over it. I'd talk about him a lot more. I'd develop more headcanons for him at that point!
I once thought about that if Forgotten Land was willing to include dinosaur-like creatures during its game, then a primal version of Ice Dragon would've been absolutely perfect for the Winter Horns section.
If they ever do a Kirby game that includes dinosaurs, whether they be the villain faction or something else, then I think Ice Dragon himself or a relative could show up, and the aesthetic of his design could be a great base for other dinosaur creatures that get added in the series.
^ Just an idea, more ideas could be made.
This could be said for a lot of other characters in Kirby, I know, but I think a lot of really cool and awesome stuff could be done with Ice Dragon if HAL were to utilize him as such. I'd love to see it happen.
Oh and by the way, I'm aware that a plushie for Ice Dragon exists... it's from the Roly-Poly Friends merch line, but it's extremely rare to find and also costs a ton of money. It's out of my luxury to get it, sadly.
I would love to see a Sanei plushie of this guy come out at some point. I did say after all that I'd expand on my plushie collection more when they introduce more Sanei plushies later down the road, didn't I? Hahahahaha. Although I have the feeling that may take a while. That's fine. No need to rush. But if an Ice Dragon plush from Sanei comes into existence, I'm going to get it in a heartbeat. It'll be great.

Can you share your favorite fun facts about the blorbos?
Oh man, it's really hard to choose! I've got quite a few little niche facts about the Links!! So I'll just list one for each Link đ«¶đœ Hopefully I'll do it in alphabetical order </3
Artisan still lives with the Tailor's family! They work under her apprenticeship, rather than her husband, and they're much happier as a tailor than they were as a blacksmith. (actually also adding that Artisan keeps in contact with the other heroes from Triforce Heroes :D they're Crimson and Sapphire!
Engie is really big into herpatology on the side. His first love is definitely trains (and Zelda, I guess) but he loves picking up injured reptiles that he sees and nursing them back to health! His favourite type of reptile is a snake and he loves rainbow boas :D
Eras actually really enjoys cooking. Before being enlisted into the Hyrulean army, he wanted to be a chef. Being a hero swept him up and he's been too ensnared by court theatre to ever even think about his dreams a chef. He can still cook up a mean pumpkin soup though.
Faye has far more tattoos than meets the eye--and yes, those...tend to bleed too. Their blood has a strange blue tint to it that translates through their scars too. (side bar but I do actually have a diagram with the tattoos so I'm adding that too)
Feathers has a loftwing named Azul. He thinks he's very smart and funny for naming the Red Loftwing a shade of blue.
Green, in Minish's system, is incredibly paranoid. He's a huge motherhen and very protective of his system, and they constantly keep a moon pearl attached to their necklace. Just in case! They also keep a mysterious shell on their necklace as well...for luck.
Due to excessive magic use as a kid, Mirror suffers through severe chronic pain. He has a cane in his bag for days when flare ups are so bad he could barely walk. That doesn't stop him from continuing to use magic, he just has to use it very sparingly.
Tune lives full time in Tetra's crew. He values her expertise and knowledge and respects her more than anyone--besides his grandmother, of course. He's adamant that she's the strongest (and coolest) person he knows. (also, since I couldn't pick which fact I wanted to write, I'm adding that he is OBSESSED with cats. The Ship cats practically own him
Kind of a random detail in my AU, but Agitha is the one who helped Rancher realise she's a girl and helped her be confident in her body! They collect bugs together and Rancher definitely doesn't know a lot about them, but she LOVES hearing Agitha infodump about them.
Wild is a lone wolf by design. It's not like he intends to be that way, but he just. Always feels like a passive observer of his own life and accidentally drifts away from groups without realising it. Because of it, he can blend into the background very well.
Zonau has not talked to someone in literal decades. He isolated himself to do the goddesses know what, and kind of sucks at socialising as a result. It's just super out of practise. It's a little bit of a hermit crab.
Oh!! and I also have. playlists that I'm making for my Links too :D but I'll add those when I'm actually finished them </3

So I've been hesitant to post some feeding images to talk about the different variation in diets that I feed, but then I decided I totally could post a Dominicans feeding pic! Heres two different images of her with her 'prey', a month apart with the first being the most recent. She eats more often that but I rotate between feeding these and Frozen/Thawed Anoles Ive raised myself.
So you're probably sitting there wondering, wtf is she eating?
Well Ill tell you! She's eating a specialized Reptilink, its a sausage but for reptiles! They come in a lot of different types of whole prey items. From Quail to Rabbit, to Bayou blends, herbivorous blends and more! Not just for snakes either, but a lot of lizards can enjoy them too! Their insect blend is especially nice and adds a lot of nutritional variation.
So, which one is she eating? She's eating the Iguana blend! Its whole prey Iguana mixed with Quail eggs. I also feed her link occasionally to my Dumerils ground boa as a treat. So, why do I do this?
Well, for a few different reasons!
For the Dominican, it is better and healthier for this animal to be eating lizards over rodents at this age. Dominican Red Mountain Boas are specialized eaters, and the reason you don't see them bred super often in captivity despite being amazing animals? Baby Dominicans fresh born(Yes, born, they give live birth), are notoriously known for only accepting anoles as prey items. Captive-bred F/T Anoles are not readily-available feeders on the market, especially ones that are of *quality*. This means that you'll likely need to breed your own supply of anoles, which can be a HUGE hassle. There is a very small amount of breeders who spend a *LOT* Of time and effort getting babie on f/t rodents as they're more readily available, but ultimately it is not worth the time, effort, and risk to the animals overall health as Rodent prey items have a much higher fat content than they should be eating at this age. As Domincans get older, they will Naturally switch over to other prey items: Fish, Rodents, and Avian prey.
This is also to ensure she doesn't become a picky eater as she grows. I switch up my animals diets often because feeding the same exact nutritional value to an animal can be detrimental to them in the long term. A lot of snakes don't live out their fullest life span, or develop health complications way later down the line- most commonly being muscle atrophy, because of these things. Not only that, offering different prey items can be very mentally stimulating to an animal: Different scents, different textures, different nutrition, ect. Stimulating reptiles in captivity is often overlooked entirely, because a lot of people don't understand how intelligent a lot of these animals actually are. For example, did you know Monitor lizards, when given a mental stimulation, can be trained?
Heres one of my favorite videos of a Monitor being trained, but this is just one of many, many examples I can pull out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWTITUgDcmU
And this *can* extend to many sp. Of snakes that can be trained. Tap training, target training, and choice-based handling are some of the most common ways to train and build confidence with your animal. Feeding different prey items might be something extraordinarily small in this process of mental stimulation, but it plays a role in preventing mental degradation.
My Dominican Is target trained and practices choice based handling. As does my Dumeril.
I do a lot of the above for the same reason I give my Dumeril, but Dumeril's aren't specialist. So the first part of this doesn't really apply to her.
However, that doesn't mean Dumeril ground boas don't come across lizards in the wild. They are opportunistic hunters who won't pass up on a opportunity to get a meal. They do prey on lizards, rodents, birds- anything they can reasonably get their mouths on. And because of that, I like to offer her variation in her diet that she'd naturally have in the wild for maintaining her weight and keeping her healthy and strong.
Boas hold onto weight a lot better than Pythons do, *typically* speaking across the species. Animals like a Dumerill, BCI, BCC, BCL, and even BCOs(Just as a few examples) are known to really hold onto weight and can be hard for them to shed it. So the best way to prevent a very long, extensive diet? Is to not let your animal get obese in the first place.
Tag for @snake-spotted for the DRMB ahah.

Anonymous Request #2
Bonus Mom Word count: 1,587 Divider by: @saradika-graphics Original anonymous request: "Can I send in a request? After that Christmas proposal fic it melted my heart when Isla asked the reader to be her bonus mom! đ„șâ€ïžAnyway we can get a fic of moments where the reader is being the best bonus mom?"
Only disclaimer: your heart may melt from all the cuteness đ„č
I really loved this request! It was so cute & fun. Thanks again for the request! I enjoyed writing it for you đ€
When Christian first introduced you to his daughter, you were a nervous wreck. âWhat if she doesnât like me? What if she thinks Iâm weird? Or that Iâm not funny?â were just some of the thoughts that crossed your mind before meeting her. It was paramount to you that things worked out since your relationship with Christian was getting serious, so there was the potential of the 3 of you becoming your own little family one day. You wanted nothing more than for her to accept you and to build a good relationship with her.
Fast forward to now and the two of you are inseparable! You and Christianâs daughter hit it off right away, developing a bond and a connection even stronger than you ever couldâve imagined. You quickly fell in love with her spunky and fun personality, and it was evident that sheâs just an all-around awesome kid! Thereâs never a dull moment when youâre together, always laughing and being silly, sometimes even joining forces to play a prank or two on Christian. Of course, there were some instances when things werenât so easy. This new relationship dynamic between you provided tons of learning moments as the two of you got used to each other. She had to test the waters and push some buttons to see just how far she could get with you, and you had to stand your ground to let her know that you werenât always going to give in. Even when she did push the boundaries, you embraced it because it meant she felt safe and comfortable showing you all the different sides of herself to you. At the end of the day, she trusted you and welcomed you with open arms and an open heart.
After dinner one night, it was time to work on the homework Christianâs daughter had brought home from school with her. She went to the living room and grabbed her folder and a pencil before rejoining you at the kitchen table. When you noticed that it was math homework, you sighed internally because math was not your favorite subject. You always tried your best to help her with it, even though sometimes it felt like she was teaching you a thing or two instead of the other way around. Sheâs just too smart! Christian was currently in a different state for Dynamite or else youâd stick him on math homework duty. After watching a how-to video on YouTube and 30 minutes later, the homework was finally finished. âPhew! Who knew 3rd grade math was so hard!â you joked. âTell me about it!â she quipped back. âThey just teach it differently now compared to when I was a kid. Iâll get the hang of it eventually.â âYou mean back in the olden days? Did you stink at math back then too?â she jested playfully. âMath has never been my favorite but give me an English assignment and Iâd totally ace that! Now, letâs get our comfy clothes on and get ready to watch your dad on tv before you have to go to bed.â
You always tried to show interest in her hobbies and her favorite things, even if some of them you didnât really know much about. She always lit up whenever she talked about her deep love for reptiles; lizards, snakes, turtles, you name it! While you didnât quite share the same sentiment about them, you still did your research to learn more so you could try and keep up with her conversations about them. One night when you and Christian were lying in bed, an idea came to you that made you incredibly excited. âDo you think she would like to do that?â you asked trying to contain yourself. âShe would love it! I canât believe I didnât think about doing something like that before.â Christian approved, while being a little envious of your clever thinking. After letting out a happy shriek, you grabbed your phone off the nightstand and began searching for any reptile sanctuaries near you.
The very next day, you and Christian told his daughter that you were taking her on a surprise day trip. The entire 2-hour ride to the sanctuary, she tried to guess where you were going, but she never figured it out. You wouldâve thought you were at Disney world the way she screamed when she read the sign after you pulled into the parking lot! It was amazing to see all the creatures the reptile sanctuary had taken in and were caring for. Some were in bad health and needed a lot of TLC, some had been displaced from their original homes and habitats, while others were just waiting to find their forever homes. âWould you like to hold one?â the caretaker asked Christianâs daughter. Pure happiness spread across her face as they handed her a small spotted gecko. âDo you know what type of gecko this one is?â the caretaker asked her. Without hesitation, she immediately said âThatâs easy! Itâs a leopard gecko. They usually live in desert like areas, and they like rocky surfaces.â You and Christian stared at each other in amazement, and the caretaker was even taken back a little by her proficient knowledge. âVery good! Now, Iâd love to hear what you know about our snakes over there. Theyâre about due for their lunch so you can feed a few if youâd like.â As soon as the word âsnakeâ left the caretakers lips, you cringed at the thought of the slithering serpents. âDo you want to hold one Y/N?â she asked you about the snake in the enclosure before you. Christian chuckled to himself at your weariness, causing you to scowl at him in return. Youâd do anything for this little girl, even step out of your comfort zone and let a ball python wrap itself around your hand.
It had been âone of those daysâ for you and Christianâs daughter. Nothing seemed to be going right since the moment you woke up this morning! There was barely a moment of rest for you all day since you were so busy, and on the car ride home she explained that her school day was rough too. Both of you plopped down on the couch when you got home, ready to veg out and decompress for a little while. âWhen is Daddy going to be home?â she asked. Christian had been gone for several days traveling with AEW, but he was coming home tonight. âHopefully in just a couple hours sweetie, as long as his flight is on schedule.â You replied softly. A hug and a kiss from Christian were definitely the cure for the challenging day you both had. Unfortunately, things still didnât go in your favor as the night went on. Little problems somehow turned into bigger ones, making you and Christianâs daughter feel even more down in the dumps. The worst part of all was seeing her break down in tears after you got an unexpected phone call from Christian. âIâm sorry baby, my connecting flight has been delayed due to bad weather. Iâm looking into getting a different flight but itâs not looking good.â
Once you were off the phone, you wrapped her in a tight hug and shed a few tears yourself. âDaddy is trying all he can to get home sweetie. If we canât see him tonight, heâll definitely be here in the morning.â Another hour passed by without a call or text from Christian. You had let his daughter stay up as long as you could, but it was now time for her to get to bed. After brushing her teeth and getting pajamas on, you helped her get situated in bed. You covered her up, then sat on top of the covers and grabbed the chapter book the two of you had been reading together. You took turns reading the pages until you got to the end of the chapter. She wasnât quite ready for you to leave yet since she was still upset that Christian still wasnât home, so you agreed to lay with her until she fell asleep. Somewhere between staring at the ceiling and hating airplanes, you had fallen asleep too. It wasnât until way later in the night that you were awoken by a kiss on your forehead. âHi babyâŠâ Christian whispered. It took you a minute to come to before you fully realized where you were and to believe what you were seeing. Christian smiled at your drowsiness as he helped you stand and wrapped you in a tight bear hug. âI missed you.â He spoke softly into your ear. You pulled your face back far enough so you could kiss him like youâve wanted to do so badly ever since he left for his multi state trip with AEW. âWhy donât you tuck her back in and Iâll meet you downstairs.â You suggested quietly. Christian nodded as you walked over to the doorway. You swooned when you turned around and saw him pulling the blankets over her arms and give his little girl a kiss her on the cheek. Morning couldnât come fast enough because you knew exactly how excited she was going to be having her Daddy back home!
âBonus Momâ was your new favorite title. It was a name you donât take lightly because it meant everything to you being a part of this little girlâs life. You would always be there for her no matter what, and you couldnât wait to make more memories together!
Thanks for reading đ€

July 22 - University, Zoo, and Tea House
Second blogpost today because I was behind on writing the other one. Donât forget to scroll down and read yesterdayâs post as well.
This morning, a bus took us straight to National Chengchi University, which is one of the top universities in Taiwan. We were given a tour of a dorm building, a library, a makerspace, and a coffee shop on campus. It was very interesting comparing this university to American ones. The library was massive and impressive. We went to their university avenue for lunch. I got a burger with rice buns from Mos Burger, and it was good. Right after lunch, we went to the Taipei Zoo. The first two exhibits that we went right to were the koalas and the pandas. Then, we took the zoo train up the hill and made our way walking to each exhibit down the hill. We first saw a bunch of cool reptiles and amphibians like snakes, lizards, iguanas, frogs, chameleons, alligators, crocodiles, and turtles/tortoises. Then, on the way to see the penguins, we saw one wolf napping in the wolf enclosure. When we got to the penguin enclosure, one of them kept pacing in front of a mirror. Then we saw three different species of bear, a puma/cougar, and a lynx. After that, we saw one of my favorite animals, the otter. There were a pile of otters cuddling, and then we saw one beaver, one red panda, and one bison, each alone. Then, we walked through the bird conservatory and saw so many species of birds. Then in the African section, we saw elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and camels. Then we saw a porcupine, orangutans, monkeys, a tapir, a kookaburra, a leopard, a tiger, and a great hornbill. After the zoo, we went to the YaoYue Tea House, where our professor made us traditional fragrant tea. The old building and the tea farm landscape were beautiful. I had more xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and I tried traditional rice cakes at the tea house. Later on, we went out to dinner at a restaurant that had whole ducks and got delicious Cantonese fried rice.
Academic Reflection:
Our professor, Yeh Laoshi, told us that she attended National Chengchi University, so I learned even more from her about the university than I thought I would have. She taught us that chengchi means political science. The library we went to was built in 2019. The makerspace tour guide showed us the workings of the 3D printer and the laser printer. Peter taught us that, unlike the US, the best schools in Taiwan are the public schools, while the private ones arenât as good. For example, the number one university is probably National Taiwan University, which is public just like Chengchi.
At the zoo, we learned about all of the different animals that we saw. For example, baby koalas consume some of their motherâs excrement for the probiotics. At the tea house, Yeh Laoshi showed use the traditional way of making tea without a tea bag. It involves multiple teapots and instruments. The tea was put into a small teacup that had another teacup on top of it that we were supposed to flip over. I found this very engaging. Yeh Laoshi also explained to us the background of the place that we were at. The name of it in English is catâs face.

Because it's my birthday I am going to share 23 random facts about me (that no one cares about except me, I care very much)
1. I was born in Okinawa, Japan. No I'm not Japanese, my mom was an accountant for the Air Force. And no, I don't remember anything about Japan; we moved back when I was six months old. The military broke into our apartment and forced us to leave the country because my mom criticized the Air Force for having religious programming on the government-funded radio station. She wrote a screenplay about it which has sadly never been sold :(
2. I've written over 2 million words of fiction, most of which you can read over on Archive of Our Own.
3. I was named for two typhoons that hit Japan around when I was born (first and middle name). Every year, we used to get horrible insane bad weather around my birthday. After I changed my birth name and kept only one of the typhoon names, we don't get bad weather anymore :)
4. I've lived in 10 different houses and three different time zones over my lifetime.
5. I won a Gilman Scholarship for the most competitive country in the program and got to study abroad in Stirling, Scotland, during undergrad. I got all As in my classes while there, despite the fact that I was dealing with repeated bouts of antispychotic-induced trismus where my jaw would lock open for up to six hours. It was ouchie.
6. Over my lifetime, I have kept dogs, cats, betta fish, koi fish, zebra finches, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, and chickens.
7. My favorite time of year is autumn.
8. Back in the early 2010s, I anonymously pretended to be Darren Criss (from Glee) in random peoples' inboxes, and I was so good at it that there was a theory that I was, indeed, Darren Criss. I eventually had to come clean about it because other people tried to copy me.
9. I also caused a controversy in the Sherlock fandom by Photoshopping Sherlock-related graffiti on a photo of the Baker Street Underground station. People literally thought someone was going around spraypainting the London Tube while I was comfortably at home in my apartment in Chicago.
10. While living in Chicago, I once found an iguana in a tree, in the middle of winter. Poor thing would have died if it was left out any longer. I captured it and gave it to my friend who kept reptiles; the original owner never came forward for it.
11. I have dyscalculia, meaning it's nigh-on impossible for me to do anything other than basic math.
12. Because of my dyscalculia, I can't read sheet music. Despite this, I was in choir and musicals because I had a good singing voice. To get around this, my teachers would give me CDs of the music, and I would learn everything by ear.
13. My first ever fannish hyperfixation was The Beatles. I used to roleplay Beatles RPF with my best friend by passing a notebook around between classes. My character had a whole city in North Carolina named after her, plus a lime green Bugatti Veyron and a mansion. Typical middle schooler power fantasy lmao
14. My favorite animal is the unicorn. Barring mythical creatures, my favorite animal is the cow.
15. I collect music boxes, specifically ones with moving parts. My favorite present anyone has ever given me is a singing bird music box with a little canary that dances while it sings.
16. I also collect vintage luggage. Look, it's a cooler storage system than tote boxes, ok??
17. I have been knitting since I was around 9. My favorite thing to make is socks, and the favorite project I've ever done is a seashell-patterned shawl for my mom.
18. In the summer, I love kayaking; in the winter, I love doing nothing whatsoever. Though I'm tempted to try cross-country skiing, ngl.
19. Last year, I made my first roombox; I'm now working on a three-story dollhouse. I also mod Nendoroids.
20. I've had nearly every hair color, which includes blonde, brunet, black, red, purple, teal, blue, green, and pink. My favorite is green.
21. I have seven tattoos, including the term "Mors ad Raptoribus" written across my chest. I got this one after being sexually assaulted; it means "Death to Rapists" in Latin. The other most important one is a portrait of my late dog Luke.
22. I like all sorts of music, including alt, indie, (some) folk, pop, metal, rap, blues, jazz, and classical. The only music I really don't like is gospel. If you ask me my favorite band, rest assured it'll change in about three weeks.
23. I'm a late bloomer horse girl. I rode a little bit as a child but was too broke to afford regular lessons. Now that I'm an Adult, I go riding once a week and wish I could go more!
Happy birthday to me! And yes, I am always this insufferable about myself on my birthday. Look I get one day a year ok

For character ask: Mileena and Reptile
finally finished this let's goooooooo
Mileena
General opinion/How much I care about them: Not one of the characters I spend the Most time thinking about but i love her!! <333 A ship I love: Mileena/Tanya is top tier of course, but I'm also really interested in the potential of Mileena/Frost! Particularly because of some of the intro dialogues in MK11:
Kotal Kahn: I despise you as I did Mileena. Frost: You have problems with strong women? Kotal Kahn: Those who seek stations above their faculty.
Frost: I've never killed a clone. Mileena: Nor have I a construct. Frost: May the best woman win.
Mileena: Kronika has offered me a body like yours. Frost: Don't be a fool. Take it. Mileena: Show me its worth.
Mileena: We're the same, Frost. Frost: Both written off and underestimated. Mileena: Together, we'll surprise them all.
A non-romantic relationship that I love: It may not be the most in character but I love Shao Kahn actually caring about Mileena as a daughter! She didn't ask to be made the way she was, and it seems like really all she wants is love and acceptance. Its no wonder she wants so badly to live up to Shao's expectations of her and follow in his footsteps when he was the first person who didn't immediately reject her as a monster. I also love the idea of Shang Tsung caring about her at least a little in his own way as she's one of his creations, and I'm super interested in the potential of her relationship with Baraka because I love hearing people talk to Mileena (and Baraka for that matter) as an equal, like in these lines:
Baraka: Join us against the Emperor. Mileena: And forever curtsy to my sister? Baraka: Better Kitana's partner than Shao Kahn's slave.
Baraka: You belong with the tribe. Mileena: I belong with my father, Baraka. Baraka: Your blood is ours, not his.
The NOTP: Hmm idk if I have any specific ships that I super hate, I guess I'm not particularly into any ships of her with men, im not a fan of her and baraka as anything but platonic My biggest headcanon about them: I've talked about it already but I really do think she just wants love and acceptance. idk if getting it from the right person/people would be able to turn her "good" at this point, but if anything could it would be that An idea for a fanfiction I would like to write/read about them: Since I mentioned Baraka earlier, I'd LOVE to see a fanfic where (perhaps after Shao Kahn's death) Mileena decides to accept Baraka's invitation to join the Tarkata tribe and when she does she's finally able to find a place where she fits in with people who love and accept her <;3 Something that makes me think of them: I mean she is very Jennifer's Body lol
Reptile
General opinion/How much I care about them: Similar to Mileena, don't think about him the most but I do love him! His less human/more lizard-like forms are my favorite, like in Deadly Alliance and his reptile form in MK1 (I'm not really a fan of his human form in MK1 ^^; ) A ship I love: Reptile/Kotal Kahn babey he can be his little creepy crawly <;3 A non-romantic relationship that I love: I ship Reptile/Kotal/Jade/Kitana/Liu Kang, so I'm interested in Reptile's platonic relationships with all the other members of the polycule that he's not involved with :) (EDIT: I FORGOT erron and reptile friendship as well :) The NOTP: None in particular (except perhaps, again, any straight ships) My biggest headcanon about them: This isn't even a headcanon it's just from the MKX intros but I love Kotal calling Reptile "Little Lizard" and Reptile calling Liu Kang "Little Dragon" <3 I do also headcanon that Kotal might call Reptile "Topitzin" ("little lizard" in Nahuatl) An idea for a fanfiction I would like to write/read about them: Currently have a WIP that's just Johnny, Liu Kang, Kitana, Jade, Kotal, and Reptile having an orgy Something that makes me think of them: Would it be cheating to say lizards lmao

survey #206
Do you like hot chocolate? Yeah, especially when made with milk.
Who was the last person to promise you something, and what was it? shrug
Who is someone youâve made a bad first impression on? I dunno.
Who is your best guy friend? My boyfriend, but idk if he counts 'cuz like, of course he's my best friend.
Do you think walruses are cute? lol I do
Do you read cereal boxes while youâre eating? No.
Whatâs the last thing you accidentally (or purposely) burnt? Uhhh good question. I don't cook or anything, so...
Have you ever given birth? Nope, never plan to. Even in the wild world where I have a child, I'd almost certainly have a c-section. I cannot handle abdominal pain, it's the pain I tolerate the absolute worst. I also panic too much for labor to go even remotely well.
Do you enjoy making out? If I'm in the mood to.
Whatâs your favorite food to put ketchup on? Ummm probably chicken nuggets.
Do you know anyone who works in a laboratory? I might, but I'm not aware of this.
What was the very first social media site you signed up for? MySpace.
Can you see yourself marrying your current partner? (if you have a partner) I can easily envision this and I hope it happens. But if it doesn't, I'll survive.
Do you have commitment issues? Not at all, this is an issue I've thankfully never dealt with.
Are there any flowers planted outside your house? No. Well, not planted by us, because on one side of the house, there's a line of azalea bushes that blooms yearly.
Does anyone in your family smoke? I know my dad and his wife do. Realistically, I'm sure there's more.
Whatâs an opinion you find impossible to take seriously? Dinosaurs never existing. I try to be very tolerant of this sorta stuff, opinions that really don't matter, but no, you're just fucking ignorant if you say anything like fossils being a scam from Satan or whatthefuckever. My half-sister's husband is one of these people and he's a fuckin lunatic.
What is the highest name-brand thing you own? Hell if I know. Nothing pricey.
What are you scared to death of? Parasites, especially internal ones.
Where is your favorite place to go out to eat? The Cheesecake Factory.
What is one thing that you constantly think about (other than material things)? The future.
Does your job allow visible tattoos? I'm unemployed, and call it petty, but I wouldn't work anywhere that didn't allow tattoos. My job isn't keeping me from decorating my body in ways that make me enjoy my body more.
What Hogwarts House are you in? ew, the invention of a violent transphobe
Do you delete people from Facebook if their views are vastly different than yours? This depends on how verbal you are about it, really. I have no shame in this; if seeing your bullshit beliefs adds even a moment of "bleh" to my day, bye, I don't want to follow you. Social media is meant to be fun, and I've gotten much more serious about making my social media experiences truly enjoyable. That's what it's meant for. It's not meant to annoy me.
What are three things you have been a victim of? Poverty, I'm sure sexism at some point (what woman hasn't, let's be real), and fat-shaming.
What is your passion? Nature; wildlife and habitat conservation and education probably top the list. Also devillainizing reptiles and arachnids. Photography, of course, with nature being my favorite focus.
Are you dating someone? Yeah, he's the dopest.
Does your first crush know you liked them? He probably had an inkling.
Have you been bullied? I'm VERY grateful that I've never been properly bullied. Sure, I've had people be mean to me, but not chronically or anything.
Do you still cross paths with your first crush ever? No, I removed him from my Facebook for religious fanaticism/shaming non-believers. He got some royal shit for that post, but I didn't hang around to see it all.
Who are some of the most selfish people you have ever met? Colleen, somehow a former best friend, is easily the most selfish person I've ever met. She was so needlessly mean to people. One of her most unattractive traits was her "let me talk to the manager" tendency, like she was so rude to people who worked with the public, and for ZERO reason. Where I am now, I'm ashamed that I ever let my loneliness warrant our friendship, we were nothing alike, and never were.
Have you ever seen a spirit/ghost/shadowy figure, etc.? I've absolutely seen something that was not normal.
Do you have regrets? I do.
Do you have an ex-friend that you miss? There are multiple.
What is something a lot of people like but you donât? Pie.
How many people have you kissed? Four.
How many of those people are you still friends with? I'm dating one; he's the only one I'm still "friends" with.
Where did you go, the last time you left your house? I went to see my psychiatrist.
Who has the nicest singing voice, that you know personally? Girt.
Are you afraid to sing in front of people? Yes.
Do you enjoy the presence of children? Eh, sometimes. I have to be in the mood to deal with them. I never really enjoy the presence of random children I have no bond with.
Do you know anyone who has changed their first name? Yeah, I've a number of trans friends.
What was the last necklace you wore? I think it was a silver one with a meerkat charm? I hate that I can't wear it all the time, I'm just allergic to the material; it turns my skin green and itchy.
What was the last carbonated drink you had? Mountain Dew.
Does anyone in your family have schizophrenia? My half-sister Tiffany that I've never met.
What was your favorite book you ever read for a school assignment? The Outsiders and The Handmaid's Tale.
Have you ever been in an abandoned house? Yes. My sister and our childhood neighbor used to play on the property; there was an almost entirely dilapidated shack where we spent most of our time, and then there was also two other buildings that more accurately resembled proper houses, but we were ballsy enough to only go into one, the smaller one that was more like a shed. It didn't have rooms, it was just a large square, and FULL of newspapers and other miscellaneous stuff. Eventually, after a streak of spending days there playing and exploring, a neighboring old lady eventually warned us to stay away because it wasn't safe, and we were never brave enough to go back lmao.
Do you have any plans for tomorrow? Yes, it's my sister's birthday and we're going out to dinner.
Do you like cucumber? As much as I can like a vegetable, lol. I love cucumbers with vinegar, though.
Whatâs the last sitcom you watched? Young Sheldon, probably.
What was the last thing you wrote down in the notes app on your phone? I wanna say a drawing idea. Or a gift idea for Girt.
Do you still have Facebook? If so, how often do you check it? Yeah, I check it daily.
How many times in your life have you been in love? Twice.
Do you like your name? I do, actually.
Do you know anyone who had to have tubes put in their ears as a baby? Yeah, me.
Were either of your parents baptized? There is absolutely zero chance my mom wasn't (her mom was a raging Catholic), but I have no idea about my dad.
The last concert that you were at, was there a mosh pit? No, it was a pretty small gig. Nearly no one in eastern NC is going to a classic rock concert.
Has anyone killed one of your pets before? In my childhood, we had cats run over by cars, but I'm sure that wasn't intentional. I would at least hope not.
Does your bathroom have a theme to it? No.
Are any rooms in your house themed? No. I WANT to give my bedroom a nature theme, but it's a very slow process since I've had to buy new decor and we're poor.
When you are eating fast food, do you tend to get burgers or chicken? Usually burgers, sometimes chicken tenders. It depends on the restaurant; I have different go-tos depending on the location.
If you were to join one of the armed forces, which would it be? *points at the "I'd rather be served rat poison than serve this country" meme*
Have you ever been to see stand up comedy? No. It'd be nice to go at least once, though, to see someone I enjoy. I like stand-up.
Do you believe there used to be dragons? No. Sadly, lol.
Whoâs your favorite god from ancient history? I'm not sure, my mythology class was waaaaaaaay too long ago, lol.
What was the last present you received? Our family friend Tobey gave me a bag of Twinkies for Easter, lol.
Could you ever have an affair with a married person? Big no, I ain't fuckin with that kinda stuff.
When was the last time you climbed a tree? I've actually never done this. My childhood home only involved pine trees, and most trees in this area ARE pine trees, and you can't just climb those, the branches are far too high.
Are you cool with swimming in a lake? I was fine with it as a kid, but now as an adult that's aware of risks that come with that, I feel like it would depend on the lake and also how I felt at that moment.
Do you listen to any talk shows or podcasts? No. I've tried podcasts a few times, I just can't get into them.
Are you waiting to have sex until youâre married? No.
Do you believe the Holocaust happened? Y'know, I don't consider myself the smartest, but I damn sure am intelligent enough to know the Holocaust was very real and should never, ever happen again. I had the absolute privilege to listen to a survivor's story in high school.
Are you someone who actually likes to babysit children? NO. I've done this only twice (once very against my will) and did not like it. The second time I had to suppress an anxiety attack.
Are you waiting for something to arrive in the mail? No.
Do you like coconut flavored things? Very rarely. It can't be a high concentration.
Have you ever met a famous author before? No.
[TW: RAPE] Do you know anybody who has been raped before? Yes.
List all the stores youâve been in this past month. I think just a dollar store. I ride with Mom when she picks up her Walmart orders, but we don't go in, it's brought out to us.
Does/did either of your parents serve in the military? No.
Do you like sour candy? Yes, I love sour candy.
Do you like McDonalds? I feel like I'm the only adult that genuinely enjoys McD's lmao
Do you have a Steam account? I do.
What do you think of Fifty Shades of Grey? Never read the book, never seen the movie, completely disinterested in doing either.
Do you swear in front of children? No. I don't believe in "bad" words (save for things like racial slurs and stuff that were completely made to be hateful towards certain groups), but I also don't at all think it's a good idea to encourage children to throw around profanity willy-nilly. They're kids, they're not going to understand when and where it's just not appropriate.
Have you ever had an STD? No.
What do you hear right now? I'm having a paranormal investigation videos binge, I've been watching OVERNIGHT shit for days lol.
Have you ever been ice skating? No.
How many pillows do you sleep with? Two.
Whatâs the worst thing you have ever done? I consider it to be telling Jason no one could ever love him like I did. I DID genuinely believe this, I didn't INTEND it to be manipulative, but it absolutely, factually was, and I'm permanently humiliated that I ever did such a thing. I don't even like sharing it, it's disgusting.
Have you been to an escape room? Was it a success? No, but they sound very fun.
Ever performed on stage? Was it scary or amazing or both? Yeah, many times for dance recitals and competitions. It was really neither for me. I was always a bit nervous, sure, but I never performed alone and the anxiety wasn't overwhelming.
What was the last animal/pet that you met? Shadow, Girt's cat that has 1,000% become his child. He just showed up on his porch on a rainy day, and initially he didn't intend on keeping him, but he sure did and he's completely obsessed with him, it's adorable. Apparently Shadow is his first truly personal pet, and it shows.

what do you wish Vinnie wouldâve had in the show?
favorite Vinnie dance move?
Oh boy, that's an interesting one. Well, first of all, a few smaller things like:
more songs, solo or a duet with someone, I especially crave Vinnie and Zoe duet. Songs where most/all pets sing are great of course, but often you can't hear each individual vocal hence I want something where I can hear him well. We all know he's a great singer B)
basically just more interactions with other pets apart from Sunil. I love my Vinnie/Sunil interactions of course, but after season 1 it seems those two just were glued to each other a lot and there was not many moments when he was interating alone with some other pet because they were always paired together
I'm not sure if that counts for your question, but there is one thing that I haven't seen anyone mention ever - his voice changed between first and second season, did anyone notice that and just never said anything or do I just pay too much attention to him? The voice actor remained the same of course, but it's like? A different tone? Really, if you compare Vinnie's voice from season 1 and any other season he sounds different and I'll be honest, I liked the season 1 voice more, so if it was up to me, I'd leave it like that.
I think that's all of the smaller things, I could maybe add here that I would personally redesign him a bit, but idk if that's what you're asking for so I'll leave it at that.
Now for bigger things that I would have loved to see with him:
this is a classic episode trope but I would have so loved to see it: Vinnie (stupid character [ugh]) by some means gets smarter (like a classic bonk on the head or something) and for an entire episode he and Russell compete against each other intelligence-wise, with Russell being considered the smartest pet Vinnie would want to beat him, and he does. Of course, by the end he somehow returns to his normal self and misses when he was smarter, thinking that he was much better than
another thing is from an actual epsiode, that episode being "Why Canât We Be Friends?". When watching this episode for the first time I was so sure this was going to be Vinnie episode, with this beggining who could blame me, it pointed at that. Well, it turned out it was more so Sunil's episode, which tbh back then I was delighted about because he was then my favourite character. I still love him of course, but now, I would have loved if this episode (or some other one) was about Vinnie dealing with this whole "I want to eat flies and it's in my nature to catch them and because of my instincts I make a mess which pisses my friends" conflict.
While we're at it, also more emphasis on him being a reptile surrounded by mammals. There's a lot of potential here, you know? He could very easily get jealous of them: they're warm-blooded and so don't have to make double-efforts to be warm, which to him is a luxury; usually people like mammals more and think they're cuter, reptilies on the other hand are cold to the touch, scaly and sticky not all that cute; and what I mentioned before - they have families and he (maybe) does not. All in all, jealousy potential
speaking of which, I would have loved if there was something like that with his dancing. Let him be jealous, or even better - dissapointed when seeing someone else be a better dancer than him - someone who doesn't put nearly as much effort as he does and yet they're better. The thing is, there was very much an episode that could have easily done that - "Plane it on Rio!" when Minka was the one who lead the whole dancing part. It would have been so easy for Vinnie to have some sort of thought process that would go like this: "Wait, Minka is good at dancing and leading us? That would normally be me... A-And she never really dances, she's into painting, how come she's better than me?" or, different but similar scenario that plays with the same thing: one pet, let's say Russell, since in the "in the loop" episode he was shows learning other pets' talents, wanted Vinnie to give him some dancing lessons. So Vinnie does, but very soon he notices that Russell is better than him, he doesn't trip, and once he gains confidence in dancing after some practice he can do various moves easily. Vinnie has been practicing for years and it turns out that all it takes for someone to beat him are just a few days? Oh, the potential disappointment. I love it
Well shit, that's just a lot of angst, sorry :'(. I could probably go on, but I figured that's enough for now, I hope these answer your question because I'm honestly not sure xd.
Favourite dance move? Probably moonwalk, he did it a few times and I think it's great. But I also like when he breaks into some breakdance moves. There might be more that I can't think about on the spot, but if I do I think I will just reblog it and add it. It's important info after all :}.

Buffy the vampire Slayer.
Season 2
Ep 7 - Lie to me
Please don't kill the kid, I hate it. Leave the kids alone
Drusilla and angel... Do they have a past? Interesting.
Oh for fuck sake! Not again! Why does buffy walks in the worst time ever. Now its angel and Drusilla. Great.
Sometimes Cordelia needs to shut up. Girl, just don't.
A new guy, billy ford, buffy's giant 5th-grade crush. Welp he's either gonna be our new fav guy or die in this episode.
Lmao Xander, you are funny. Also, willow that song is not about fat guys.
Jealousy jealousy all around. Tension all around here. Angel jealous, love it.
Ford knows everything. What do you mean you know about vampire and that she's the slayer!? WTF MAN!
He's a bad guy, I am sure of it. He's a vampire, maybe...? Or he wants to be one...?
Awww, angel is jealous. I love men get jealous in shows or books.
I love awkward mess willow. She's me and I love it.
Dont trust the ford guy. I know he's cute buffy but cute guys are trouble. Stick to women.
Spike and drusilla/drusilla's relationship is creepy .
This ford guy is totally crazy and dumb. Wanna be a vampire, just die.
Jesus Angel is dramatic, "Do you love me?", "maybe you shouldn't ", just shut up.
Jesus fucking Christ, Angel. What he did to Drusilla is pure evil. Poor girl. I hope she gets to torture and kill him. Wtf man.
Xander: "Angel was in your room?", Willow:- "Ours is a forbidden love". God I love willow. She's my favorite .
Man, buffy really has the worst taste in men. None of them are good. Angel(his fucked up past), billy ford, the creepy cemetery guy, the college guy who was a reptile worshipper and in sacrifice cult. Girl, maybe get some therapy at this point,.
Spike is kinda hot and I think I need some therapy now.
Oh OH, this ford guy is max from Rosewell(or whatever it's called), the one with insane chemistry between him and Liz. Lmao, never watched the show but I've watched gif's of them making out, which are...something đ€€đ
Buffy for the win again.
Spike is gonna kill ford isn't he? Poor guy should've stayed in the Rosewell universe.
I kinda feel bad that ford he died. Poor guy was crazy.
I like this little moment between buffy and giles. It's emotional, raw and real.
B:- "does it get easy", G:- "what, life", B:- "yes", G:- "what do you want me to say", B:- "lie to me". Damn, I don't know why but it got me.
The last scene between giles and buffy, in the end, got me. I mean this show is pretty heavy and emotional at the times but I feel like it's gonna get much more from here.
Also, the "lie to me", episode title. Perfect for this episode. The theme of this episode was literally "lie to me", the conflict, the delusions, denials, characters lying to themselves. Ford, buffy, Giles, angel, all of them lying to themselves in different ways. Their pain and turmoil. Perfect.
Alright, another solid episode. Honestly, other than one or maybe two episodes, I've been pretty much invested in the show and haven't got bored at all.
I loved this episode. Little more sneek peek in angel's past, and drusilla and damn her past broke me, poor girl. Honestly she can go on a killing spree and I wouldn't blame her, the girl has been through hell. Angel ruined her life because he became obsessed with her? Fuck you angel.
Not sure how I feel about ford, he was a one episode guy so no attachment but like dude just die. It's kinda sad he spiralled that far away.
I really need more angel, I am not gonna lie, he doesn't even feel like a character to me anymore. It's weird how little or Barely he is in the show. I know he has his own show but I don't wanna watch that because ain't no way I am putting myself through cordelia and angel bullshit.
A really great ending to the episode, really liked that they touched on Buffy's emotional turmoil, even if it's briefly.
I guess that's all, loved the episode. Not much xander in it, it was more buffy and angel focus and angels past which included drusilla. Someone needs to get her justice because poor girl.
Anyway, see ya in the next one. Cheers đ„

What's your favorite and least favorite thing about each main character on BTVS and Angel?
I can really only answer this for BTVS. I have seen Angel, but not recently, and it just doesn't resonate with me the way BTVS does. Turns out, when there's no Buffy, I don't care.
Buffy:
I love so much about Buffy Summers that it's hard to pick a true favorite trait. I'm going to go with her intelligence because it's so often overlooked even though, in many ways, she's the smartest character on the show-- and the one who actually uses her brain when everyone around her is being utterly irrational and falling for every trick in the manipulative villain handbook.
My least favorite thing about her, by far, is what a doormat she can be sometimes. It's so frustrating watching her take so much shit from her friends and family and forget her own strength over and over.
Giles:
This is difficult to articulate, but I like that Giles chooses to be one of the good guys despite clearly having the capacity not to be, and how his own moral grayness gives him an understanding of the nuances of human nature that the others lack.
My least favorite thing about Giles is his emotional cowardice and immaturity. He does so many harmful and downright stupid things trying to run from his feelings. He never quite learns to put on his big boy pants and deal with his issues, and his being decades older than the rest of the cast makes it really glaring.
Willow:
I love it when Willow cuts down to the core of a situation and exposes everybody's bullshit. Her rant to Giles and Angel in Reptile Boy, reading Faith for filth in Choices, and shutting Parker down in Beer Bad are some of my favorite moments with her.
My least favorite thing about her is that she's actually incredibly self-centered and entitled a lot of the time. She expects the world to stop for her when she's in pain and when she thinks she's right, she's not interested in what anyone else has to say or silly things like basic human rights and autonomy.
Xander:
His bravery. Despite having no powers and no particular skill set, he ends up accomplishing some pretty impressive things through sheer balls and determination, and it's hard not to respect that. Trust me, I've tried.
My least favorite thing about him is almost everything else about him, but I guess that's kind of cheating. If I had to sum it up into one trait, I think I'd say it's his blatant hypocrisy that bothers me the absolute most. He doesn't even try to live up to the standards he sets for other people.
From here on out, my take on who is and who isn't a main character is going to be pretty arbitrary. For instance, I'm not including Tara, even though I adore her, because I couldn't think of anything bad to say about her and that probably means she wasn't fleshed out enough to be a true main character. If I skip a character you wanted my opinion on, I'm always open to more Buffy asks!
Dawn:
Her loyalty. My girl does not mess around when you mess with the people she cares about, and she doesn't play that 'don't take sides' crap. If you hurt someone she loves, you're going to hear about it. I know, I know, Empty Places, but she was clearly being manipulated there and if you look at her behavior overall, she's absolutely a ride or die and I love it.
Her expectations, especially of Buffy, are extremely unreasonable sometimes and it causes a lot of misery all around. I don't count it against her too much because it's a pretty normal teenager thing, but if there was one thing I could change about her, it would probably be that.
Angel:
His insight. He's very good at channeling his own emotional turmoil and self-loathing into understanding others-- usually Buffy, but not always.
His martyr complex and constant self-sabotage are super annoying. Though I love him, I do totally understand people who can't deal with his Man Pain.
Spike:
Devotion. I have all sorts of problems with him but he does have a capacity for sacrificial love that transcends all else-- including soullessness and demonic influence.
And my least favorite thing about him is really just the flip side of that same trait. He's simultaneously creepily obsessive and eye-rollingly sentimental and dramatic.
Thanks for the ask!

Just a little curious, what genre/type of songs do you listen to, s?
I've been drooling at the songs you've posted this week
D. All of the above
You've just activated my trap card! I fucking love music. I am about to RAMBLE--
Seriously, though, my taste in music is pure chaos; I listen to a bunch of different genres. Although heavier, more aggressive sounds will always have a special place in my heart--heavy metal/rap metal/death metal, rock, punk, hardcore, screamo, etc. There's just something about it that means I'm always returning to those sounds. (And by sounds I mean straight fucking screaming, haha). But I do enjoy rap/hip-hop, pop, alternative, indie, electronic, etc., etc. (Also, I am ashamed to admit there is a certain 10-15 year period of country music that I know so well that I could sing the exact words to the top 100-ish charted songs for each year. My mother is a big country music fan, so I heard it constantly growing up. My father likes classic rock, so I've got that covered too, lol.) I could go on for hours about music, lmao.
I am always listening to music.
I currently have 65 custom playlists on Spotify, and I follow way more than what I've made myself. I collect vinyls (and I have a bunch of CDs, I don't go out of my way to find them but, hey, if I see one at a thrift shop or something... I'll probably get it. I'm weak for music, lol). I am always in the top 1% of listeners in Spotify (as in, my wrapped always says, "you listen to more music than 99% of other listeners in the U.S.!") Last year, I actually listened to more music than 99.5% of people in the U.S., lmao.
Clearly, I have a problem đđ
In payment for listening to me rant--have a few of my favorite drool-worthy songs:
(Hopefully, ones that aren't super out there so you can have more discoveries đ And fair warning that there is no genre organization to these, lots of them are rock or metal, but not all of them)

Jaws - Sleep Token

Secret Scream - The Black Queen
BONES - Demi Lovato
Fuck Away The Pain - Divide The Day
I Miss The Misery - Halestorm
