Baby's Breath: a wholesome moment

The first time Nocturne awoke outside the cloister, she didn’t know what to do with herself. She had no routine to follow, no duties to observe. At least she knew she wasn’t alone.

The fifth time Nocturne awoke like this, they were in a noisy roadside inn. The bed was warm, and there was only one. At least she knew they were safe.

The thirtieth time Nocturne awoke after gathering her courage was to the smell of a freshly planted garden under the windowsill by their bed. Shadowheart snuggled into her chest, still asleep.
