You know I'm kinda insane about the implication that Odile chose her name as a way to connect more with her vaugardian roots because I feel there aren't many characters in fiction who change their names especially outside of trans-related reasons.

#I mean Siffrin also changed his name for non-transgender reasons but he didnt have much of a choice there #and Ik it has the potential to be confusing but I wish there were more examples of characters actually changing their names during the #canon. like just in stories in general #I <3 permanent change that the characters and audience has to grapple with #anyway this post was prompted by me thinking about fucking. flynn from breaking bad #isat spoilers
