#I mean I like how “weirder” stuff in fanfiction is the norm (which is kind of a result of being a smaller fandom made up of turbo geeks)

I'm kind of wondering: Since Armored Core is getting an episode in an anthology series, do you think it will bring in a significant number of new fandom members?
It isn't a full-fledged TV show, but an episode dedicated to it in a show would be more accessible to the general public than a video game (don't have to spend hundreds of dollars just for the equipment to play it plus another 60 for the game itself, don't have to be a sweaty no-life to get good enough at the game to actually make progress, etc).
I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I'm genuinely excited by the (dubious) possibility that the fandom could grow.
#it would be fun to have new types of people join the fandom#armored core (although I wouldn't consider it “obscure”) is one of those things where you kind of already have to be a gamer™ to get into i#because usually people who are just getting into video games or play video games casually aren't going to pick armored core first#I mean I like how “weirder” stuff in fanfiction is the norm (which is kind of a result of being a smaller fandom made up of turbo geeks)#but I'd also want to see different types of perspectives too#however I do feel like the premise of secret level will make it hard to gain traction among a wider audience due to coming off as “cringe”#(I'm gonna be honest even I think it's a little goofy)#so I think at most we're just gonna get more turbo geeks#but that's still a good thing#armored core#secret level#ac6#original post#fandom
