I'm watching the reconstitution of the 1994 instance of Starmania, and it's really interesting that they chose for Stella Spotlight to step in as soon as the first instance of Starmania (the programme) and cross path with Zéro Janvier there. It makes his declaration in Le Blues du Businessman sound truly genuine, which it didn't to me from other versions, as well as imply that his attraction for her truly stems from a genuine interest for Art, rather than pure political strategy.

So I'm curious :

★ He genuinely regrets his career path and would actually become An Artist if he could turn back time and rewrite his life.

☆ It's pure propaganda to make himself relatable and win over the youth (of all ages) given the success of Starmania.

⍣ He did envision to become An Artist in his rebellious youth and drew from that to write the song, he's however perfectly happy of his situation as a businessman, and then to live vicariously as Stella Spotlight's husband ; he wouldn't trade it for an artist life.
