Six Sentence Sunday (plus a few)
I don’t know if ive ever done this but I wanted to share a piece of what I’ve been working on 👀
“I’ve spent years studying the sky,” Daya said, breaking the silence.
Bosco listened intently. She loved listening to Daya talk about her experiences more than she loved their silence.
“Learning about the planets, the stars. Like over there,” Daya pointed to her left, “is jupiter. That one’s my favorite.”
Bosco propped themself up on their elbow and gave Daya their best pout.
“I thought I was your favorite.”
Daya let out a giggle.
“You are, but so is Jupiter.”
“Well,” Bosco scoffed with faux annoyance, rolling back onto the ground, “if I have to fight for first place maybe I’ll just drop out of the race.”
“Yeah right,” Daya laughed, “your life would suck without me.”

WIP Wednesday for a fic that is about 95% complete? Sure. Enjoy 😘
“You’re thinking pretty loud over there.”
A voice drifted from the shadows, and Bosco jumped. She thought she was alone out there. She turned towards the voice, ready to apologize for intruding on whoever’s space, until she saw who it was. Daya. Bosco rolled her eyes and went back to watching the city down below.
“What?” Daya said, moving closer, “you don’t want to talk to me?”
There was an air of bitterness in her voice.
“No, Daya. I don’t.” Bosco tried to keep her voice even.
As angry as she was at Daya for their past and for simply just being there, Bosco wished she could just forgive the taller girl.
“I understand, I’m not too keen on it either, but we’ve established that neither of us are going anywhere.”
Bosco wanted to roll her eyes again. Anger bubbled in her chest, and she was about to snap at Daya when the sliding door opened and Alyssa walked out. She looked at Bosco, to Daya, and back to Bosco before turning and going back inside with a huff.
“What was that about?” Daya asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I don’t know, she’s been so cold to me since I got here.”
“Want me to kill her?” Daya’s tone was light and playful, but there was an air of seriousness underneath.
“No, Daya, we’re not killing innocent people, no matter how nasty they are to us.”
