I love accidentally making a character very similar to another one without any knowledge. Like, not in design but in story.
It's so funny to make a character and then read a book and go "hey wait a minute"
#simon says#I made a dnd character and her story and then I found out about Drizzt#former lolth-sworn drow from menzoberranzan that has since left and has become a ranger and worshipper of Mielikki#am I talking about my dnd character Rauva or famous dnd character Drizzt Do'urden#like the details are different in many ways but imagine my shock reading the Icewind Dale trilogy and being greeted with your dnd character#well... the dnd character prompt. the basic idea. the simple descriptors.#the details start to get very different but the bones are the same#idk I thought this was funny and maybe yall can relate to the feeling#it also feels a little rewarding too. like 'i must have written a good character if they've been written before!' but not quite??#idk i have nothing eloquent to say
