My favorite part of the opening of Parliament tbh
#I love any ceremony that involves someone banging on a door for admittance#there's a similar ceremony (of different origins) at anglican/episcopal cathedrals on easter day but they use a special little hammer#I love that black rod just uses the rod... very apropos
