The real reason it's important for me to take my migraine medication as soon as I realize I'm going to need it is that otherwise I end up waiting until I'm in so much pain I can't think straight and I'm going to end up taking it anyway and it's not going to work as well and I'll ignore all of the safety instructions and just chomp down on pills at 5am on an empty stomach like mmm yummy stomach ulcers for breakfast

#whenever I misjudge a migraine and I think I can sleep it off and it wakes me up in the middle of the night #I'm just proud I'm able to read the label on the pill bottle to check I'm taking the right thing #I live in fear of stomach ulcers bc gepants don't work for me and triptans are a deal with the devil #so if I lose NSAIDs I'm fucked #but excruciating pain at 3am has a funny way of making you forget about long term consequences #lou is loud #helth #migraine #ibuprofen #😤#it's not ibuprofen it's diclofenac but close enough #the hard part is telling when you're going to need a rescue and when you can just sleep it off...#I miss the days when I was allowed to take rescue meds whenever I felt like it 😔😔 damn you rebound headaches #chronic pain
