Finally got and started playing Dream Daddy, just to christen the new laptop! I’m already wishing you could choose between romance and friendship at rank three, just because I love half of these dads way too much. 😅 Minor spoilers below the cut~

Started with Joseph purely out of curiosity, and honestly even on just the first “date”, he seems like someone I’d want to try and befriend. Like I know he’s Christian, and I’d sooner walk backwards into hell with birds flipped than step foot in a church again, but this dude is legit the antithesis of every Christian dad I’ve ever met, and he kinda reminds me of how I was right before I gave up on religion. Pretending that he’s happy with where he is in life, and that everything’s okay, and that he doesn’t need help. Pretending that he has no questions or qualms. I went through a lot of that as a teenager and in my very early twenties. I can’t imagine what it must be like to deal with it as a parent, husband, and minister.

This game is a bit heavier than I expected, but I’m invested! Can’t decide yet if I’m gonna go all in on Joseph, Damien, or Robert first, but I do want to go on at least one date with all the dads to get a better feel for their characters. Hoping that Hugo and Brian aren’t actually as annoying as they first appeared to be. I’ve already decided to not rise to Brian’s competitive nonsense. I’m too petty for that lol
