🤞there's some screamin' laptop deals for memorial day/father's day coming up cause my laptop's been on its last leg for like over a year and its questionable if it'll run every time I boot it up
#at this point I don't even think it's on its last leg#it's more like its on its last like idk bloody and battered big toe#I know this was a common issue esp w/windows 10 (cursed fckn operating system)#I've been able to like... bandaid it together and keep it running for so long#I just think it's ready to give up the ghost#and I desperately don't want to lose 3k worth of work that I have been able to do for the first time in over a year#I back everything up obvs it just suuuucks#I remember it tried to shit out on me when I was writing one of my other march.ly fics and I had like a full on melt down cause it was#like one of my long ass chaptered fics and I had finally finished it and got it all edited and had my summary laid out and all the notes#like I had it allllll ready to go for AO3. I put alll that stuff in the doc so I can just copy & paste#and it like fuckin crapped out and I had like 75 mini heart attacks#I was lucky. I got it back up and the doc was still open and I hadn't lost anything. but man. I don't think I'm gonna get lucky again#but it sure is showing signs of taking a crap again 😞#erin explains it all
