Leave him alone. Hand to my fucking wings.” It’s a gamble but it’s also a gamble he fully means. He’ll give them up if it means getting the answer to this question. Because god damnit, does he need to know. He watches as she watches him with shrewd eyes for a moment. “You don’t even need to go ask him,” he adds, taking a breath. “If you can answer it. I just. Please. I know I don’t have any right but please.” He watches as she sighs and leans against the door jam and gives him a quick jut of her chin.
