So I got this new fountain pen a weekish ago. I wanted some new supplies because I'm going to try to do inktober this year, and I saw this pen even longer ago and thought it was hella cute and decided to get it. It's wancher's mini fountain pen, I love the colors on it and I love the few pocket fountain pens i have, I haven't bought from this brand before and I want to try it so w/e let's get it

Goddamn I hate this pen.

So in comparison to my moonman, which is my daily pen, and my traveler's company brass fountain pen, my current third favorite pen, it's even smaller. Its 6.5 cm long when cappedBut the thing that pocket pens are supposed to do is that you post them and that will bring them to full fountain pen size.

But god it is still to small. Under 9 cm long.

I have to squish up my hand a little bit to actually write with it, it's just uncomfortable.

But there is a bigger problem

You can't really.... post it.

The cap is a screw on when it's capped normally, but when it's posted I think it's suppose to be friction fit? The brass pen does that and I've never had problems with it.

But because you have to squish you hand in a weird way, when you actually use it you hold it a bit harder against the rest of your hand to help keep it steady. But then the cap just... falls off? There is no actual friction for the cap to grab on to so too much pressure just pushes it off

So maybe you aren't suppose to post this pen and just use it as is. But... it fuckin short

it's like 5.6 cm long. I can't write with this, not with the precision that I want. it's just too short, I can't use it

And it sucks cause it really is a cute ass pen. It looks like a little baby next to the full sized pens, it's so cute and I love it for that

but my god I can't actually write with it. It completely failed its number one job. I'm not sure what to do with it, I don't trust any of the children I know who could actually use it. I might just put it on display so I can point at it and insult it when I'm bored
