TW: Blood Gunshot wound (sorta)

Now here’s a moment of me rambling about this one I strongly dislike it but I’m moving and this idea wouldn’t stop rattling around in my brain so I drew it in a sorta speed run fashion over the past day (it took me like three days to actually start it) there are a few concepts I’ve been wanting to elaborate on that I implemented here.

When I heard The Ballad Of Lucy Gray somehow my brain immediately was like “hey ya know what would be sad?” And I was like :0 and I thought about it for ages and here we are (bonus points because I physically cannot get this song out of my head now as we speak I am packing and singing it)

I initially wasn’t gonna draw this at all and just let it rattle around in my head but “I know the soul that you struggle to save” really kinda sealed this one for me and because I have to be sad now YOU have to be sad

I was gonna draw the wound on Mind’s neck because that’s where I believe he was shot but I couldn’t get it to look right (I didn’t get it to look right here either) but this was the best bet to convey what happened. This was also my first time drawing a gunshot wound (I had to look up a reference sorry FBI agent🙃)

A lil hc for these designs, aside from their stars they glow independently but when they are injured the affected area dims as with the stars around it this concept has been with me ever since I started drawing them and is why I didn’t give soul his half and half deal though I’m rethinking that.

I wish Mind’s arm looked a bit different I think I’ll redraw him in short sleeves because with his arm I was going for an X-ray look along with the darkened gears to show that he does indeed have mechanical hands I don’t think I made it look as good as I could’ve.

This all came to be because I was gonna draw these three as Pokémon trainers (that did not happen) but I was gonna make Soul a psychic type trainer, Heart a fairy type trainer and Mind an electric type trainer (lol) I just really wanted to draw Soul w an Espeon ngl Dw btw that will happen.
