#asks#anon hate lmao#4/10#lmao did they decide that based on my pronouns?#or my pfp?#listen 90% of people refer to me with masculine pronouns when they see me and feminine pronouns when they hear me speak#and then get really confused when they can both see me and hear me#so don't make assumptions based on how I present myself online#also like I'm not saying if anon is right or not they have and almost 50% chance of being right#I just don't owe y'all my agab

the number of gay men y'all tried to throw under the bus for drawing femme taako was exponential as if gay men don't at their own discretion explore their femininity or find joy in things like makeup and skirts. it's not some wooby fetishising slight when it's literally a gay man drawing a canonically gay character in a way that explores and expresses a side of being gay that can be fucking dangerous to explore irl.
and god the number of posts i saw after they confirmed lups a trans woman that were like "if i see literally the slightest hint of masculinity in any art of lup from now on ill tear you a new asshole every day until you delete" had me unfollowing damn near every taz blog on my dash. trans people don't owe you passing. trans people don't have to stealth. a trans woman doesn't HAVE to look like a cis woman. (a trans man doesn't HAVE to look like a cis man.) ive seen the same shit in other corners where people draw any trans character with a trait attributed to their agab and get ripped apart like that's just how it is? some people can pass but the majority of people probably won't and a lot of them don't give a shit if they do. cultivating a space with a lot of younger queer kids in it to accept ONLY drawing a trans woman as if she were a cis woman is cultivating a space where a lot of queer kids are going to look at that and then themselves and go "but i don't look like my identity." that's how we end up with truscum 15yos projecting their insecurities on their peers and attacking them for not being trans enough.
there's a line, like there's a line with literally anything. it's different if someone's purposely going out of their way to draw characatures of the twins in a way that Is fetishistic, in a way that Is homophobic, transphobic, obviously there's a threshold, but the aim of the community was never that. it was never addressed as "we pursue art that is actually problematic" it was ascribing any level of femme to taako or any level of amab features to lup and they'd tear your shit to the ground. learn some fucking nuance and let queer people express themselves in media that acknowledges and loves them. stop putting the idea that expression has to be strict and play into the gender binary into young queer kids heads. you're shooting yourself in the foot how can you not see that. teach people what's appropriate without demonizing it at every level.
still mad about the discourse that revolved around drawing t*ako femme or drawing l*p in any way that didn't pass and stealth 100%. that shit is what made me step out of the fandom like y'all just need to get some common sense sometimes.
