do you ever create a character and then years later learn of a historical figure with numerous coincidences in naming/mythological references/highly specific important dates/ &c. and you just

how was i supposed to know that her name was a variant of a saint’s and also her birthday is the saint’s feast day or smth and they both have connections to names that reference Athena

#guess who just learned that Aelia Eudocia exists #despite all of the coincidences to her that the fictional Avdotya Petrov displays #Avdotya is not actually based on her because i only learned of St. Eudocia tonight on Wikipedia #i feel a little bit silly now #how did this happen #like i knew that Avdotya was a variant name of Eudocia #I just didnt even know Aelia Eudocia existed sksksksk #i could have picked any date in the entire calendar to mention as Avdotya's birth date but it just HAD to be august 13th huh #the coincidences are uncanny come pick me up im scared #people who know how saints work please help me because i Do Not
