#I wanna stipulate he was the *victim* in the abusive bullshit#first was The Compound from birth to 8-ish#second was the Kirijo Labs from 10-18#he had like 2 years of freedom between The Compound and the Labs#then he spends 3 years popping poison that's slowly killing him so the God he got saddled with doesn't#this is why my man's unhinged as all hell lol#headcanon#also ngl I have no idea what the actual canon timeline for the Kirijo Labs was so this is just what I'm going with#but it's heavily implied they were stuck there for a very long time#like I'm pretty sure Chidori implies at one point that she was practically raised there#I know Jin mentions a bunch of the kids were plucked off the street#I imagine Takaya and Jin themselves were two of said kids#plucking them off the street means they had lives before that point#and I have in-debth headcanons about these lives haha
