Imagine if there were more than one group of false dragonets. Imagine if our main cast were false dragonets.

Obviously we know the prophecy is fake, so then what's to stop the Nightwings from ensuring there are multiple failsafes? Just make it so the location of the dragonets is kept secret except from the Guardians watching them and the Nightwing assigned to them and bada boom you get multiple groups of dragonets.

Dragons not born on the brightest night? Okay, you made the prophecy Nightwings, take the eggs until they hatch then give them back to the Talons.

What if the main cast is a failed group that unfortunately established themselves as the true dragonets in the eyes of the public.

Imagine if Starflight's book was about him slowly learning about all these false dragonets who do not know about the main cast due to being sheltered all their lives and Morrowseer decides to cut his losses and get rid of the failsafes in case anyone puts two and two together.

Cue drama

#this has been my the false dragonets deserved better PSA #wof #wings of fire #wof rewrite #I really don't like the way the false dragonets are just there to prove our main cast's relationship is *so special*#I mean it is but if anything they should be just as close further proving that the DoD's relationship isn't so strange #that yeah the dragons can get along #the false dragonets could've been super interesting but they were all just hyper aggressive for no reason #except Fatespeaker but also she was the love interest so #also Tui's weird thing with punishing abused children who aren't uwu sweet in the face of their abuse #Flame and Viper especially deserved so much better #I imagine Morrowseer attempts to see who he can replace #but then eventually realizes that the dragonets come as a group or not at all #so ...child murder I guess
