Fair enough but you won't find a fandom w/o teens in it no matter what the target demographic is. The likelihood of them being in a fandom diminishes with the age recs but they're always gonna be here lmao that's just a morally neutral thing on the internet. & Then there's people who are just insufferable regardless of age.

My advice is rather to get a friend/mutual group to talk with and block people who mildly annoy you with gusto because interacting with any fandom at large is exhausting once you grow out of dopamine-driven chase for drama.

No yeah I am fully aware I am just tired of being in fandoms where it is majority children and like it was fine when I was a child but I’ve just been worn down over time. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for kids to be in fandom but I don’t like having to censor myself for them and being in a place where they are the centerpiece, even if the media in question isn’t for children. The internet has become an extremely child focused place over the years, and that’s not their fault, but it’s exhausted me. I remember being younger and being excited to be an adult bc they got to do all the cool things in fandom, all the cool big name artists were adults, but now that I am the focus has seemed to swap. That’s kind of why I just need to be in a more adult oriented space I feel, like I have seen great stuff and met many great kids in fandom but I feel for my own wellbeing I need a different environment. And being insufferable isn’t exclusive to kids but it’s a huge problem in the prsk fandom. Some of the most insufferable people I’ve met here have been adults. It just attracts people that frustrate and irritate me. I’ve met a lot of great people but also a LOT of people have gone straight to the block list.

Also yes lol I know how fandom and internet etiquette works. My perception of this fandom in particular has been scarred however and I need a change was the main thing I was getting at lmao.
