#I honestly think this specific situation is weird and the lengths staff went to are probably uncalled for

I hate every time any major event happens on this site, because it always goes the same way. Event happens that upset people. People post proof of the upsetting event. Several other posts vague about the event with varying degrees of accuracy and memes and jokes start pouring in, also with various degrees of accuracy. A game of telephone starts to happen where people explain the situation without referencing the original post/article/video/whatever where it happened, leading to people forming their own idea of what happened and getting more reactionary posts from people who think they know what happened but only have second hand information.
I don't wanna talk about the current event here (aka staff deleting a blog) but I am a bit frustrated to see so many reactionary posts on my dash from various people, with only some having the full information while many, many others continue to dilute it into something much bigger and more horrible than it is.
And I personally don't think I know enough about what happened with this event to have an opinion on it, only that people seem to be confusing the act of someone 'making correlations with someone liking harry potter to encouraging terfs' to 'someone saying a staff member liked harry potter and that's why they got banned.' Watering down the information to a point where it becomes nonsensical does not help anything, especially for those who've not seen any of the original content! It only serves to continue the game of telephone and spread misinformation.
okay rant over. Just... I know people want to support whatever side they think is right when these major things happen, but I wish more time was taken to understand the inciting incident before people made and reblogged reactionary posts with misinformation and accusations that may or may not even be true.

I was thinking about different way the league could try to kidnap Katsuki and thought what if they just adopted him. Like got the paperwork filled it out (using an alias) and just battled the Bakugous for custody. Yeah, they're villians, but the paperwork checks out, and they can provide all necessary essentials, and maybe the Bakugous aren't the best parents.
This idea is extremely funny to me, and so I tried to think of a way it could work out that even kinda makes sense. After talking about it in the discord, I think I figured it out. (Set after USJ & sports festival, but pre-any kidnapping stuff)
We’re going to assume Bad Parents!Bakugous, with the situation being bad enough Katsuki is removed from their custody. The plan was for Aizawa / UA to take custody of him after that.
Only, there’s 1 tiny flaw in that plan. Katsuki’s quirk.
See, Katsuki’s quirk is considered a ‘dangerous’ quirk. 99% of the time this doesn’t matter, but there’s an old law regarding child custody that comes into play with dangerous quirks.
The law basically says that if a child has a ‘dangerous’ quirk, and their removed from their birth family’s custody, other relatives MUST be contacted to see if they are willing + capable of taking custody of the child. Even distant relatives.
Furthermore, if a relative wants the child (and passes a few other criteria), then they are all but guaranteed custody, even if there’s other circumstances that would usually prevent it. If the relative has a similar quirk to the child, that boosts their chances even further / offers extra protections.
The law was created during an earlier period of quirks, when ‘dangerous’ quirks were extremely hard to handle, and usually only family members with similar quirks could do it. It’s not a great law, but nobody’s gotten around to removing it since it doesn’t come into play often.
But of course, Katsuki isn’t so lucky. He has three relatives that have to be contacted and decline custody of him before Aizawa can claim it. He’s never met any of these people, has never had much contact with any extended family, but now he has to wait for them to say no before he can move on with this bullshit.
Two are easy enough, both are great uncles or something similar and live in assisted living facilities. Neither have the interest / capacity for Katsuki.
And then there’s Katsuki’s distant cousin on his dad’s side.
Honestly, it’s such bullshit. The guy went missing ages ago. His whole family was confirmed dead, but apparently the guy himself wasn’t, and since he’s still considered alive, they have to at least try to contact him.
A newspaper ad goes up for “Tenko Shimura”, there’s a 15 day waiting period while the ad runs, and then they should finally be free to move on.
Except, holy shit, turns out the guy isn’t actually dead.
He saw the newspaper ad, and actually calls in out of curiosity.
Katsuki is taken off guard and relieved, because the guy will say no, and then they can finish this, right?
Right?
Only, the guy doesn’t say no.
He doesn’t say yes either, but he asks to be put in contact with Katsuki so he can discuss it.
Katsuki is so done with all of this, but he agrees to talk to the guy hoping to convince him it’s fine for Aizawa / UA to take custody.
Tenko & Katsuki talk on the phone for an hour, and by the end of their first conversation, Tenko isn’t convinced it’s fine and now Katsuki isn’t either.
Because, fuck, the guy actually sounded nice. And nothing he said was wrong either. Tenko was worried about the sports festival (and Katsuki has to admit, hearing an adult express concern for him & tell him what happened to him was bad for the very first time took a weight off his shoulders he hadn’t known he was carrying), he was worried about how UA had handled him so far, and he was worried what would happen if Katsuki didn’t have any outside figures to turn to in the future.
Several long phone calls later, including one between Aizawa & Tenko, and it’s been decided. While Katsuki will be staying at UA and living primarily in the dorms set up for international students (since Tenko lives quite a ways away), custody of him will be going to Tenko.
Aizawa isn’t exactly happy about it, but that law gives Tenko the first claim, and he has to admit that Tenko raises quite a few good points. After having spoken to him at length, Aizawa feels like he has Katsuki’s best interests in mind too.
Paperwork goes through, things are set in motion, and in the meantime, Katsuki keeps calling / texting with Tenko, slowly growing closer to his cousin. Turns out the two have a lot in common.
Tenko also have family issues and was adopted, which is why he appeared to go “missing”. In reality he’s just been living under a different name. His quirk is apparently related to his hands and also considered ‘dangerous’ although he doesn’t like to discuss it, and he and Katsuki are both very blunt people, meaning they get along great.
Finally, everything is said and done, and Katsuki is going to go on a weekend trip up to where Tenko lives to meet him in person for the very first time. He’s given a train station and told he’ll be met there, and he’s honestly kinda excited for it.
Throughout the court case, Aizawa was the only one from UA allowed to have access to all the records / be in contact with Tenko. He couldn’t even discuss things with anyone else.
Now it’s all over though, he’s in the staff room and only half engaged in the current planning session. Mostly focused on his phone / checking in with Katsuki.
Mic teases him about being worried, and Aizawa just mumbles that he’s still kinda unsure of this ‘Shimura’ guy.
All-Might, who is also at this meeting, does a spit take.
It takes several seconds for him to regain himself.
He’s sure he must’ve just misheard though.
"Ah, I'm sorry, I just got confused about something for a moment. What did you say the name of Katsuki's new parent was again?"
“The guy’s legal name is Tenko Shimura, although he apparently stopped going by that awhile ago, which was why he came up as missing. He responded to a newspaper ad though and was able to verify his identity."
All-Might.exe has stopped working.
It has to be a coincidence. There's no way.
"Tenko... Shimura? His name, uh, well I used to know someone by that name. How old was he again? And why was he chosen?"
Aizawa is a little confused, but still not concerned, he just assumes All-Might happened to know the guy.
"He's 20, which is young to be taking on a kid, but he's properly prepared for. It was the quirk-relation law that set it in stone. Shimura is a distant cousin and has similar quirk to Katsuki, the specifics were a little hazy, but a dangerous hand-related quirk. Why?"
All-Might needs several seconds before he can speak.
“Tenko Shimura is Tomura Shigaraki.”
“... What?”
“Tenko Shimura, that was Tomura Shigaraki’s birth name. That’s- That’s him. There’s nobody else that could be.”
“WHAT?!”
Yeah, so they try to get in contact with Katsuki but it’s too late, Kurogiri already ‘picked him up’ and his phone is not working in the underground area he’s in.
Anyways, so Tomura introduces himself, and Katsuki spends awhile trying to fight him but not really getting anywhere until Tomura is finally able to convince him to let Tomura explain himself.
Katsuki is Upset, but also wants Answers.
Tomura reveals that he never lied, he was Tenko Shimura, and everything he told Katsuki was true. Truths were certainly omitted, but he never lied. And he has no bad intentions towards Katsuki.
He saw the newspaper ad, and having seen what happened at the sports festival, felt compelled to step in. He promises he just wants to be a good guardian.
And Katsuki does not want to believe that. He doesn’t.
Except, at the end of their scheduled time, Tomura just,,,, lets him go. No demands that Katsuki can’t tell anyone what happened, no threats, nothing.
Kurogiri just teleports him back out to some place near UA and bids him goodnight, very pleased to see Tomura taking this seriously & that he now has a grandchild.
Katsuki shows back up at UA, after 12 hours of them searching for him frantically, and he’s just as confused as they are.
Obviously, they try to remove custody from Tomura after that.
Problem: They can’t.
Between the bullshit law from before, and the fact Tomura has never actually been caught / arrested / charged with a crime, they legally cannot remove Katsuki from Tomura’s custody.
He would have to fail as a guardian for Katsuki in order for them to remove him. Until then, he’s got custody.
This is just something they’re going to have to live with.
Katsuki Is So Done.
When he goes into class on Monday, a very excited Kirishima greets him.
"So dude? How did visiting your cousin go? What was he like?"
"You know that guy who attacked us at USJ? The guy with the creepy hands who almost killed Aizawa?"
“... Uh, yeah?”
“Turns out that’s my cousin.”
"Oh my god! What the hell dude! Are you okay???"
“Unfortunately, yes.”
Welcome to the Katsuki Shimura AU, where Katsuki’s life is weird and Parent-Teacher conferences get fucking awkward.

04; 오빠? (Oppa?)
In which you don’t recall getting found by Jimin totally shitfaced
idol!jimin x staff!reader
genre: mostly fluff, comedy, and others along the way
word count: 2, 072 lol what’s a drabble
In relation to this.
It is noted that Park Jimin in all of his 22 years of living thus far, had not encountered anything remotely close to the current situation he is in. Which is why at this very moment, he is at quite a loss.
You see, approximately 3 hours ago after the conclusion of the daytime shoots, the schedule has wrapped up nicely and smoothly for everyone to enjoy the rest of the night as they so please. So naturally the boys went off to wash the make-up off their faces, changed out of the outfits laid out by the coordinators for more comfortable attire and kicked back and relaxed in their own ways.
He wasn’t too sure what exactly went down on the staff’s side of the villa they were staying in, but he had a pretty good idea that alcoholic drinks were involved.
Because when Jimin decidedly wanted to grab a glass of water from the kitchen, it was then that he accidentally stumbled across something he definitely had not expected to be laying on the floor. So after nearly jumping out of his skin and then the initial panic of trying to figure out if he should call his hyungs or Taehyung or Jungkook or the police did he gather his nerves to finally realize that he actually recognizes the curled lump before him.
Which brings him here, presently, as Jimin sighs in relief from knowing who it is and also seeing that she was very much alive from the subtle rise and fall of her breathing.
“….Noona…?” He calls out, voice timid and still unsure. He didn’t want to wake her abruptly but at the same time she really shouldn’t be on the tile floor sleeping like that; she’ll catch a cold and he expresses as much in another gentle whisper. Not getting any sort of response, he slowly approaches and kneels down next to her form. Her body was turned towards the little island counter and her hair was curtaining her profile from him but as far as he knew, she didn’t look like she was hurt; just asleep in a very questionable place.
Hesitantly, he reaches to move the hair away from her face but as soon as his fingertips grazes her cheek, she snaps her head up so quickly Jimin nearly dies from the second mini heart attack he had in the span of five minutes.
“Wha….” was the first muffled sound she makes upon waking up from her slumber, dazed and confused (and apparently on the floor).
“Noona?” Jimin tries again, voice still soft but no longer whispering.
A momentary pause, and then, “….Jimin?”
“Yes, it’s me noona…”
“….Wha’re-why’re doing here?”
Jimin forces back a smile at the slurred words before thinking about how break it to her that she’s actually in the boy’s part of the villa without completely freaking her out. He takes a breath before saying slowly, “You’re in our side of the villa…. specifically the kitchen.”
Another pause, this time longer, before the older woman springs upright to a sitting position but not without nearly toppling right back over from the speed she should have not exerted in her state. Jimin’s hand shoots out to steady her, retracting to just hover slightly over her shoulders once he sees that she’s able to steady herself by leaning against the island counter.
“Ohmygosh, I-wha…How...”
Unfortunately, Jimin didn’t know the answer to her incomplete question so he tries offering some questions of his own that might prompt her to remember something.
“Were you…looking for something?”
“I…” She starts in English; finally pushing her hair back and Jimin can now see the flush of her cheeks as well as the furrowed brows of concentration on her face. He turns his face away slightly, hoping she didn’t notice the smile he’s failing to contain because honestly, this is really funny. “I…I’m hungry.”
The snort comes out before Jimin can stop it and he presses his hand against his mouth. It still catches her attention and she frowns.
“What?"
“Nothing noona.” He replies with a smile and a shake of his head. “We should probably get off the floor first; I don’t think it’s the greatest place to be.”
She nods and proceeds to semi-crawl her way up the sides of the island counter and eventually onto her two feet. Jimin stands at the ready to catch her just in case her balance gives way again. But instead of heading over towards the living room area, her attention is directed towards the kitchen cabinets with a mission in mind.
“Woah woah noona! Careful! You’ll hurt yourself!” He gently pries her wrist away and down from the higher cabinets she’s trying to reach and nudges her body away, effectively stopping her from climbing up the marble counters.
“But I need food…” is the weak whine he gets in reply.
“Okay okay I’ll make you something. Just sit down please and drink some water.” Jimin shushes her and pushes the hand back that was coming up to reach for the cabinets again. He gently turns her body towards the living room and nudges her shoulders to get her moving forward. He sighs in relief as he sees her slowly move towards the set course and turns to open the fridge to grab a water bottle.
It’s too bad that at that moment, she remembers exactly why she decided to place herself on the floor when she got here. And back on the floor is where Jimin finds her again, only a few steps from the border that separated the kitchen and living room.
“Noona!” He gasps, slightly frantic because he didn’t exactly hear her fall down???
“No no it’s okay Jimin, just leave me here.” She waves her hand to him, head buried in her arms because honestly she feels like her head is ten times bigger than her body and swears she’ll just throw up all over the place if she doesn’t do this.
“Noona you can’t lie on the floor like this, it’s not comfortable.” Jimin pats her back gently, resuming calmness after figuring that she might’ve just laid herself back on the floor when he wasn’t looking.
“No, just give me like an hour to sleep this off and I’ll be fine.” She insists, about ready to do just that. Jimin really didn’t want to push her but there was just no other way to coax her with sweet words at this point. So he places the water bottle down and gently takes a hold of her arm and begins to lift. Of course, he's met with resistance, which soon turns into a mild game of tug-a-war.
“Noona I swear you’ll feel so much better on the couch than here.” Jimin says as he tries to fight against her dead weight but all he’s met with was more whining and,
“Oppa really I’m okay here I’m gonna be sick!”
 …
 Oppa?
Jimin pauses in his effort to blink and let his mind process the word. Did she just…?
He’s at a lost because did he really hear it right? And as he manages to drape her across his back and haul her (still whining) ass to the couch, he hears it a second time.
“Oppa why’re you like this…."
“Just rest noona, and drink this…slowly.” Jimin doesn’t bother to correct her because he decidedly liked the term of endearment coming from her. It made his heart twinge in this funny way and a smile threatening to break out onto his lips. So instead, he cracks open the bottle of water and hands it to her, watching as she slowly takes sips from it before capping it again once he’s satisfied with the amount she took.
Her head still feels too heavy on her body though and she leans crookedly to one side in hopes of alleviating the discomfort. Jimin lets a small smile slip and he gently nudges her all the way down till she laid her head comfortably against one of the throw pillows, cradling her bottle of water like a newborn. He also props up her legs so she now laid out on the full length of the couch before giving her head a few gentle strokes.
“See? All better.”
“My head still hurts like shit.” was her half-hearted mutter of annoyance and Jimin laughs softly at that. He’ll make sure to find some headache relief pills once he’s sure she wouldn’t try to go anywhere and potentially hurt herself (or end up on the floor…for the third time). A moment of silence fills the space between them and Jimin’s still absent-mindedly letting his hand move away strands of hair from her face and shoulders before he hears a quiet, almost sad murmur.
“…. Are you mad at me?”
His hand stops in their tracks, completely taken aback by the question but then he lets out a breathy laugh at the thought. “No noona, why would you think that?”
“…I don’t know…” And she really didn’t because the weird nagging in her chest told her to ask it, not her logical cognitive brain that’s currently not in service right now. “Because I got drunk…and I drank too much…” was her feeble attempt at trying to make sense of it all.
“Aigoo noona, I don’t think you can ever upset me.” He coos through a laugh, affectionately stroking her hair again. The tinkling sound of Jimin’s laugh makes her pause her jumbled thoughts to just take in the melodious sound and the way his eyes disappear to crescents and smile so wide his teeth are showing and that one tooth that’s slightly crooked but is just so Jimin and- oh god why is he so nice to her even when she’s such a fucking mess right now and why did he even have to find like her this??
“Noona why are you crying? Is something wrong?”
Ah fuck now she’s crying?! Since when did this happen?!…Why is this even happening??!
“No! No I-I don’t even know why I’m even crying!” She hears her voice crack and immediately she halts in speaking because she would’ve damn well sobbed the rest of her thoughts out and that cannot happen.
She never would have pinned herself to be a crying drunk because crying drunks usually cry and they wouldn’t even know it but she’s very well aware she’s crying so what gives??! She hears him laughing again through her crossed arms and she might’ve just said that all out loud... Best keep her arms wrapped around her face a little longer.
Luckily for her, the freak onslaught of tears halt and she regains control of her breathing by the time she feels soft hands tug her arms away from her face. She suddenly wishes the couch is a black hole and would swallow her up so the best she could do was not make eye contact. For a while she doesn’t hear him say anything, which makes her more anxious. Just as she was about to brave a peek over her shoulder, a sheet of tissue suddenly blocks her view. It gently dabs at her face before she reaches up and takes it from the hand offering it. Sniffling, she shyly looks and sees that yes, Jimin is still being a perfect angel and had reached over the end table beside the couch to grab her a tissue.
“…Thank you.” She says quietly and is met with more tinkling laughter.
“You’re welcome noona.”
She can just imagine the smile on his face; innocent enough with his eyes crinkling to crescents but underneath it there would be a hint of teasing, she just knows it. So she pouts, determined to not make a fool of herself even further. No doubt Jimin probably thinks she’s a mess of a noona who can’t handle a few drinks and is not as mature as she hoped she was to him, but unknown to her, Jimin’s exact thoughts were:
So noona has this side to her as well. How cute.
And luckily for her, Jimin was willing to keep this moment a secret between them. The thought of sharing this intimate (though very strange) moment together had his heart fluttering like a million butterflies trapped in a cage.
But unknown to Jimin, he’ll be the only one who will remember any of this happening at all.
A/N: Remember kids, drink responsibly because not every guy is a Jimin.
