i (maybe unreasonably) have an issue w anyone (esp as a partner to either james or lily) in fics being portrayed as a parental figure to harry even a little as closely as james / lily except sirius bcs they all had a chance and they all blew it and never even tried and sirius escaped azkaban and survived on a diet of rats and literally died for him canonically sooo

#Except AUs where Voldemort raises Harry #I haven't read any but the concept is funny #Jokes aside #I hate hate hate it when people portray Remus Lupin as Harry's...anything.#Idc #Not even a single "let me see you from afar or wait I want to stay close to Harry let me try to take a job in his school if possible #I don't have any problem with him not doing anything #I absolutely do not #I have problem with people portraying him as some serious Godfather or father who's better for harry #He fucking isn't #And I'd never not hate anyone who read about Sirius being in privet drive just after getting out of azkaban #That too by swimming!!!#And still checking in on Harry #Like nothing better than that!#Yes he couldn't raise him #But he did not forget him like Lupin did #The moment he got the chance he went to check on him #And I'm glad James and Lily made him Harry's Godfather #Sirius black #They'll never make me hate you #And they'd never be able to replace you as Harry's godfather
