Wait, I can actually answer this...sort of? I had them be buddies in a fic once. It was like two sentences but nevermind that I have some thoughts at least that came from that!

Alright so... Time to ramble.

I like writing Kinji as being on the outskirts of the class, but not in a doesn't interact/loner way like Utsuro, or a guarded/difficulties connecting/being trusted way like Tsurugi.

He's regularly hanging out with someone, and frequently has long, thoughtful chats. It's just usually on a more one-on-one basis. In group settings, he is often content with sitting by himself or a little ways away from everyone.

Kiyoka would be one of the people who more regularly goes up to him, to check in with him, and have more regular, but more casual/light and quick conversations.

So they greet each other every time the class meets up or they see each other, and sometimes talk about deeper stuff when the moment arises, but otherwise just like seeing each other and sharing little things.

I also like the idea that Kinji and Kiyoka are two of the only people both still have patience left for Mitch and have some deeper understanding or compassion for him, so they talk about that guy together sometimes. Unlike Teruya and Haru, who simply have similar interests with the guy, and are probably friends, but probably don't really understand or truly like him, especially as time goes on.

You can interpret this as romantic or platonic with Kinji or Kiyoka's end. But both of them have a lot more patience and tolerance, alongside Inori. I would see Kiyoka as wanting everyone to be happy and get along, having good boundaries, but being willing to put up with a little as long as they aren't crossed. There are consequences for Mitch if he crosses them, which he needs, but she's not one to hold a grudge/act in revenge, just disappointment, which might be more effective. Meanwhile Kinji, is drawn in by the fact that Mitch is ostensibly, not a great guy, a sinner who is more than his sins, and who maybe, if offered compassion, could help himself. I also think Kinji is very insightful about people's inner worlds.

Anyway this isn't about Mitch, he was just the connection point for them being buddies in that instance haha.

I picture Kinji and Kiyoka talking about their classmates a lot. Not really gossip, more empathetic, or concerned, than that.

Like a conversation about Kiyoka's talent and her relationship to it, drifting towards a deeper conversation about violence and death. And what living in them does to you... Then maybe, how that might affect someone like Tsurugi.

Or noticing when Teruya is feeling down and planning to cheer him up with a gift. Maybe they're the ones to pick up on it when Kakeru needs someone to invite him into conversation to feel welcome, or when Satsuki is waiting for someone to notice her latest shenanigans and smile.

Perhaps it's something like this... Kinji notices these things, and Kiyoka is the one who figures out what should be done to help.

I would imagine Kiyoka thinks of Kinji as being a lot more intelligent than she is, but Kinji is just thinking about how easily Kiyoka often seems to know exactly what to do to make things better with folks.

While the more extroverted, outgoing, and social ones like Mikako, Yamato, and the other sunshine group members Teruya, Haru, and Satsuki might be the ones drawing everyone together or leading the group, the smaller groups are the ones holding them together/creating more meaningful bonds?

And Kinji and Kiyoka are two of the people who are really good at that. Kiyoka is great at forming friend groups (like her own with the aforementioned trio) and Kinji is really good at connecting with people individually on a deeper level, figuring out how they tick and what they need.

They both care a lot, and are insightful in different ways. They would complement each other's flaws and strengths... This is the kind of friendship I think they would have, anyway.

To all my writers out here in the DRA fandom, PLEASE supply me with some platonic Kinji & Kiyoka content! I’ve had brainrot over this opposites-attract bestie AU for a while now and I need sustenance! It can just be headcanons or whatnot! Please and thank you! 🙏

First of all thanks to @jetsam-kisa for the idea to do pokemon au stuff!! I LOVE pokemon and seeing jetsam's adorable starting team made me want to do one too so here he is :D haru's two first pokemon both have meanings in that growlithe (and subsequently arcanine) are known for their loyalty and bravery in the pokemon universe, so haru's pubby symbolizes his dedication to rules! his magneton on the other hand is just hanging around because it's a fusion too (just of magnemites instead of people) and it likes him for it

second of all: don't worry the villain drawing will never be canon! I know the phrasing in the image is Vague about that but our canon haru is too ingrained in his morals to ever go evil 😅 he's just fun to draw that way (and it's fun to consider what would make him snap and what he would do as a villain.... hmm maybe I should make another post on this one)

Finally, we have designs for haru's parents!! looking at their quirks it's pretty obvious where haru's comes from lol (they're also very good parents and haru loves them both a lot and if you give either of them the chance they Will adopt you)

GOD he’s my absolute favorite so like everything is my favorite thing about him. But my #1 thing that I absolutely adore is that he is very willing and open to grow and to like accept criticism. I know for a fact I don’t like receiving criticism. But him? Izuku has yelled at him to like basically get him to see that he had to make the fire quirk he had his own rather than associate it with his father. That’s TOUGH to do. That’s YEARS of self-hatred and abuse and repressing his power and just looking at it as a way to see his father. But he took Izuku’s words to heart, that he could do with his fire quirk what he wanted because it was his. And he grew so much because he accepted his words. I would have been like “You don’t know me! You don’t know what I’ve gone through! You have no right to tell me that!” But not Shouto. Shouto has taken other types of criticism from Aizawa as well, telling him he depends on his quirk and that’s why he went after him first during his final exam. And then he was able to realize “Huh, I really should have given Momo a chance to tell me her plan, she had something to say.” And then he has her tell him her plan. And then during Kamino, (yes, Tenya got on his case, but he was like “we aren’t gonna fight, we’re gonna sneak around, my dude���) when they were against the wall and Izuku is like “I have a plan!!!” He’s like “TELL US YOUR PLAN”. Like he is not the only one who gets to take charge and share his plans. Also when in*sa was being very passive aggressive towards him, Shouto went up to him and asked if he’d’ done something to him and when he told him about their past, Shouto was like ah fuck I fucked up, but I liked that he was willing to confront this very large guy to resolve this issue. He is like very accepting and open to new ideas and he makes mistakes and still goes off on his own (provisional license exam where you at), but he is still able to take these like criticisms and examples and learn from them. He’s a great character and his growth has been so progressive and amazing and I am so thankful to Horikoshi for this character holy shit.

I hate that he calls k*tsuki his friend despite k*tsuki being a God awful character. Shouto, sweetie, you deserve better friends. k*tsuki has been compared to endeav*r, your abusive father. Please please, you have the whole izucrew and class 1A (except m*neta) right there. You can have Momo and Izuku and Tenya and Ochako and Eijirou as your bffs. Please honey, please, I’m begging you. Please stop calling him your friend. He is not a friend, he is bitch ass gremlin.

TodoDeku!!!! This has got to be my favorite ship I’ve had thus far in my fandom experience. Like I’ve had OTPs where I’m absolutely wild for them (fr//–//uk, haru//–//michi, ever//–//lark, ed//–//win) and I’ve given my 110% like I am giving this ship, but like….this ship……..is so damn SOFT. And it gives me the warm fuzzies and it makes me so incredibly stupidly happy and I want them to be happy and they’re just so precious WOW.

I have so many, but one of my favorites is that as a pro hero, he has so much Dad^TM energy and adopts all of his interns and treats them so kindly. He is supportive of their education and growth and basically just wants to see them succeed in life. He loves his interns. they’re all his children. 

Another random headcanon is that Shouto has a beautiful singing voice and he got it from his mother. He sings when he feels particularly sad or when he wants to cheer up (himself and his friends and siblings), and he also writes lyrics at times. He is also good at playing guitar, but is shy about expressing these talents, until the izucrew catches him singing in the kitchen while he was cooking one time.

I like that he’s oblivious, but also I believe that once he gets older, he is not as dense anymore and learns to pick up on social cues. BUT he likes to pretend to be dense and fuck with people.

Also when he’s a pro hero, he owns an agency with his brother and they are both the bosses and he takes care of a lot of administrative things, so he may not get to do a lot of hero work like the heroes that work for them, but he does get to go out into the field often and trains interns.

She is such an amazing character and I love her so much. Please I am begging. She deserves her own background and history. I don’t want it to focus on just her feelings. That’s just ugh. it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, it’s really personal.

She is the best fighter in the agency. RIP villains and anyone that takes her on. She can even beat Izuku, Shouto, and Tenya, who are arguably super strong and big burly men. She is not smol though. When she’s a pro, she’s ripped, she’s muscular and very agile and quick. Beware of her. Once she enters a fight, she comes out victorious. She will come for your kneecaps.

Kaminaga Kouko analysis

Hi there! I’m back with a new AnR analysis, this time about Kouko! After Suzu it’s time to analyze our favourite class representative. It had been a while I wanted to make an analysis of her, I was supposed to do her before Suzu but ended up doing Suzu as a request for someone. But now it’s Kouko’s time, the girl deserves some recognition, and I’m going to give it to her.

So, let’s start by examining Kouko’s past. We know that Kouko is an orphan, so her parents died when she was a child and she was ‘welcomed’ by an orphanage, who is actually a criminal organization training kids to become assassins, seemingly specializing in bombs. Kouko was good at making plans but terrible at handling bombs. It made her an easy target for bullying. It didn’t seem as intense as what Shiena went through, from what we seem it seems to be mainly mockery, but to be put down like that by people of her age and view as a failure by the adults must have given Kouko a pretty bad esteem of herself. Her only source of happiness was her senpai and mentor Irena, probably what kept her from breaking, and she, unfortunately, killed her by accident as a teenager. It didn’t help with her esteem, made her feel terribly guilty, and increase the hate her superiors had towards her. Kouko was basically sent at Class Black because it was judges as an unimportant mission and didn’t want to waste a good assassin on it. 

Here’s a little headcanon about Kouko’s orphanage. I personally think they are a religious fanatic group, terrorists. The catholic orphanage could be a cover-up, but in one scene they really seemed to imply they do believe in God, which is strange for an assassin organization unless they are extremists. Irena also implied in KnR that she never kissed anyone because she “chose that kind of life”, which lead me to believe she’s an actual nun, thus religious. The fact they are religious and use bombs really give me a big terrorist vibe, but that’s only my opinion and I won’t use it for the rest of the analysis, I just wanted to share this headcanon with you (and having a terrorist among the assassin add some ‘diversity’ in the cast).

Back to what’s canon. From what we have seen in the series, well during Class Black, Kouko was acting really assertive, bossy, challenging anyone who wanted to question her authority. She was determined, focus, hardworking, smart, act confident and didn’t want to accept failure. Despite her clumsiness, from what we see she was a rather competent class representative. But in the flashback before Class Black, where she was also a teenager, Kouko looked more submissive, she lacks confidence, she was shy. Even her voice sounded different. It was way soft and high pitched before Class Black, and during Class Black, it was way deep. And it’s not like there were a lot of years between those two periods, she looked the same age. It seems to indicate that she forces herself to sound deeper now, to assert her authority and dominance, to not be viewed as weak.

Kouko tried to make herself look assertive and in control, she seeks positions of power, she wants to be in charge, she wants people to rely on her, and she can’t accept failure. It’s like she was craving for some feeling of superiority, not to put down others, but to put herself up. Even if Kouko is trying to assert her authority on others, she doesn’t try to put them down, all she wants is putting herself up. She doesn’t want to feel above others, she wants to be at the same level at them while protecting her need to feel in power.

Let’s examine a little bit of Kouko’s psychology. We don’t know at what age she lost her parents but we can assume she was young, so it’s possible that she didn’t experience much parental love as a child. She was disliked by her classmates and by the adults around her, the only person who seemed to love her was Irena. To be overall disliked by others and lacking love as a child must have a serious effect on her self-esteem. Also, accidentally killing the only person who gave her love, her only source of happiness, the person who was giving her self-worth, must have left her with a deep feeling of guiltiness, remorse, and possibly hatred against herself. All of this must have left a feeling of inferiority in Kouko.

And this is where I wanted to bring you. If you read my AnR mental illness post you know what’s coming next. I’m talking about Kouko’s mental issues. She’s a prime example of someone suffering from an inferiority complex.

Let’s start with a symptom of inferiority complex, low self-esteem. People with low self-esteem have heavy self-criticism, Kouko views herself as a failure. Hypersensitivity to criticism, Kouko was quick to challenge others who question her authority and get really sensitive when Suzu asked her question about her wish. Perfectionism, Kouko wants everything to be perfect and doesn’t accept failure. Neurotic guilt, she feels guilty over Irena’s death. Floating hostility, she’s quick to argue with people who question her authority or doubt her. Pessimism, I would say that in general, Kouko is a pretty pessimistic person. Envy, she expresses resentment against Tokaku for being an elite assassin while she’s a weak assassin.

But what about the inferiority complex. From what I read, it can be rooted in the young child’s original experience with weakness, helplessness and dependancy. As a child, Kouko was treated as weak, she was forced to be an assassin, making her helpless, and dependant on Irena, her only source of happiness. It can be intensified by comparison to others, and I have no doubt that the teachers at the orphanage kept comparing her to the kids who were more competent than her. Kouko seems to display a certain “superiority complex”, a desire to appear superior in a way, dominant, assertive, in control, a craving for position of powers. But superiority complex can be a defence mechanism against inferiority complex, which I believe is the case with Kouko. She feels inferior and to cope with it, she tries to compensate with a need for power, dominance and control over others, to try to put herself up and gave herself self-confidence. She’s so desperate for it that she literally changed her voice just to look more assertive. And when she loses or fails, she feels worthless again and breaks in cry, feeling overcome by her deep feeling of inferiority.

I have been told that I view characters too much through mental illness, so let’s talk about Kouko’s traits that are personal to her and not to a disorder. I talked about it before, but Kouko is extremely clumsy, it’s a little quirk of hers. It could be the result of her inferiority complex, but Kouko is clumsy since she’s a child, so I think it’s more something personal to her that may have gotten worst with her overall low self-esteem. But I still consider that her clumsiness is part of her personality. Kouko is also shown trying to help Haru with her homework, showing that Kouko is willing to help others. It may be related to her class representative role, but I feel like she genuinely wants to help people, deep down she has a good and generous heart, but was forced to bury it in order to be an assassin. Kouko still tried to kill Haru with no hesitation, showing that she’s capable of murder (she’s just incompetent at it… well she’s better with a gun than bombs, we have to give her that). Something I found really interesting with Kouko happened during her childhood, Irena said her “blueprint” (I think it was some bomb blueprint?) was well done, and some kid mocks her, saying that “drawing well means nothing”. Sure it was a blueprint, but I have the feeling Kouko might have some artistic talent, she’s good with a pencil. She could either be good at designing other types of blueprints (possible future jobs? Tho I headcanon her as a doctor in the future), or, she could use her skills with a pencil for more creative stuff, like drawing. Would it be cute for Kouko to have as a hobby drawing? Maybe that would help her get some self-esteem, have a passion, feel some enjoyment in life, learning to love herself. I’m all for the Kouko to become an artist later in life. Also, during the epilogue, Kouko successfully escape from her organization despite the risk, showing how brave she is, and we saw that in KnR she did it to honour Irena’s wish that wanted her to be a hope for everyone (that it was possible to escape I presume and live a normal life), showing that Kouko is someone who will go out of her way to honour someone’s wish.

So, we’re arriving at the shipping part. I suppose I should talk about Kouko’s relationship with Suzu. But I can’t do that without talking about her relationship with Irena first. Irena was Kouko’s senpai, her mentor, her role model, the only source of happiness and self-worth at the orphanage. Kouko was dependant on her, and when she lost her it left a void in her heart and a deep feeling of worthlessness. Irena was like the sun in her life, and without her, she’s stuck in a dark and cold night (okay that sounded cheesy but you get my point).

Okay, now we can talk about Suzu. She’s not a replacement for Irena, but she’s a new mature and adult person in Kouko’s life, a new person she can rely on. Suzu is like a mentor to her, teaching her stuff, helping her with her life (and literally saving her life in KnR). This is what Kouko needs in her life, an adult with experience to help her out, to heal her heart from the loss of Irena. Kouko needs emotional support, to feel appreciated by someone, someone to guide her, and Suzu is the right person for that. They are both lonely and hurt by life, and having each other can help them both to heal their own inner wound. Suzu and Kouko have more of a grandma/grandchild relationship than a romantic one, Suzu does look like she has a little crush on Kouko, but we have yet to see Kouko reciprocate those feelings. I personally ship them as a romantic couple, but as they are portrayed in the series, they are canonly pretty platonic.

Wow, working on this analysis made me realize how deep Kouko is as a character despite her low screentime, I genuinely feel bad for her, her past is really sad, and I sincerely wish her to be happy in the future (with Suzu, of course).

So in conclusion, Kouko is someone struggling with low self-esteem and an inferiority complex due to a childhood devoid of love and appreciation, she hides it behind an assertive and power-seeking persona, but deep down she’s a generous, honourable, brave and determined person, with possibly the soul of an artist. If she starts a new life (possibly with Suzu) she might finally learn to love herself and be happy, and especially, be free.

I actually have a lot of stuff in my drafts that I don't remember the context to so, I'm just going to put them under the cut.

They mostly involve Yusuke to the shock of no one.

1.

Note: Annie=Cognitive Ann from Kamoshida's palace. Also. Warnings for Kamoshida mentions.

"This is how you see me." Annie mutters. To them, she's nothing more than a painting. That's why she can't make them believe she's better than the real Ann. To them, she's two-dimensional.

"Fuck you."

"Oh what now? We have to get Kitagawa-kun out of here, we don't have tome for your-"

"Fuck you!" Annie spits out. "Fuck you, alright? I didn't ask to be here. I don't know why you didn't just kill me, because that would be preferable to all the bullshit you've been throwing my way. I get it, I can't be you anymore than that painting can be Yusuke."

She knows her face is blotchy, and that the tears streaking down her face are ruining her make up, but she doesn't care. She's never cried before. She never had a reason to back in the king's castle. She had a reason to exist and she was wanted and she didn't have to think about all of this. About how she was so blatantly lesser than the Ann standing before her. "But I didn't ask for any of this!"

"Whatever." Goro sighed. "I'm not really in the mood for festivities."

"What about giving an old aquaintance a tour through the city?" A quiet voice asked from the door.

Goro's eyes widened upon seeing the familiar blue hair in the door.

"Yusuke?"

"I-I hope you don't mind me dropping in so suddenly, but I was caught off guard by the crowd and saw you through the window." Yusuke fidgeted with his cape in the doorway.

"Well, if you want a tour of the marketplace, I'd be happy to!" Goro said, taking off his apron. "Wait does... you're caretaker know you're here?"

"No." Yusuke laughed nervously, "I am breaking many many house rules, I'd like to keep a low profile, if possible."

"Not a problem."

Yusuke makes it all the way to the third labyrinth, long enough to think he might just be able to make it back home.

Of course, the moment he feels something akin to hope, the familiar feeling returns.

Yusuke drops to the floor and the pain rips through him.

"Yusuke? Yusuke, what's wrong?" Ren says.

How does he describe Haru?

Brilliant is a start. Passionate, caring, strong.

Yusuke's so happy he has the chance to stand by her side as she seizes her future and blazes her own trail.

She's a star, one that Yusuke would follow to the ends of the Earth.

Haru instantly draws her attention to the boy in the corner who looks as uncomfortable as she is. He says he's accompanying his sensei, and they basically spend the whole night chatting.

His name is Yusuke Kitagawa.

After that, they tend to spend every one of these things together in the corner. It's nice having someone to talk to.

It's nice knowing that there's someone else who's caught on to the fact that between all the wine and merriment these people are celebrating the downfall of others.

One night they go out for some fresh air and find the world ripped apart around them.

Yusuke doesn't remember much of his mother.

He was young when she died.

But there is one memory of her that he'll carry to his grave. When she looked down at him and said

"I'm sorry sweetheart, but no one will ever believe you."

"So, will you tell me what that was?" Akechi asks.

"It's none of your business." Yusuke replies.

"I'm not allowed to be concerned when I find my teammate tucked away in the corener gasping in pain?"

"I wasn't aware you considered us teammates." Yusuke says. "Your alliance with us is only temporary."

"Well then. Am I allowed to be concerned that you'll jeopardize the mission if you can't pull your weight? Your singing is impressive but how am I supposed to know you won't collapse in the middle of the casino? And if I reported that to our fearless leader, then he might have to remove you from the team entirely."

Yusuke scowls. "All you need to know is that what you saw only happens with overuse of the song, and I know my limits. You don't need to tell Akira anything."

"You call that an explanation?" Akechi scoffs. "How does a song calm the Reaper."

"It's... difficult to talk about. In short, it's magic, I'm the only one who can do it, and you don't need to worry about me overexerting myself."

"And how did you come by a magic pendant?"

"My mother."

"And-"

"Look. The only way I'll tell you everything is if you jump down a bottomless canyon, so we're done here."

8.

Once again, Ikutski goes over the file on the newest arrivals to the Iwatodai dorms.

The Arisato siblings were an extraordinary group.

Their parents had died in a car crash almost a decade ago, and the trio had been moved around between family members ever since.

Minato, the eldest, was a decent student but reportedly kept to himself. Never engaging with his classmates, or daring to put more than the minimal effort in.

Next was Naoto, who did not share her brother's apathy. In fact most of her teachers reported her as being too inquisitive for her own good. Sharp mind and a sharp tongue and never knowing when she's said too much.

And the youngest, Yusuke. His school records are filled with notes from teachers calling him a problem child. Always upsetting his classmates with pictures of green skies and puddles of blood. Clearly, someone very disturbed.

PERSONA 5

Akechi Goro/Kurusu Akira

I’m a big sucker for party traitors, so it isn’t really a surprise that I walked out of my Persona 5 playthrough with a new shiny ship. I love how messed up it is with both of them planning to outplay each other in a deadly game and yet still forming an emotional attachment. I also really love how they are mirror images of each other. They are extremely similar, and yet they are also each others opposites. There’s just something fascinating in watching them interact.

For the story, I’m very okay with some in-between the canon flirting with the obligatory dash of scheming and mind games. I also would endorse, some post canon with Goro turning out to be alive. Not having idea what to do next with his life, he follows Akira to his hometown, where he stalks him for some time (bonus points for Goro being miserably homeless, because he probably doesn’t have much at this point), before Akira spots him and reluctantly decides to help Goro get some footing. I would love if Akira helps convince Goro to take a therapy, because he really needs it.

AUs and ships

I don’t mind AUs, just be aware that the messed up relationship between the two of them is a huge draw for me, so I would definitely opt to preserve that part in some form. You don’t have to do the exact same scenario, but at least make them childhood friends, who ended up on the opposite sides of some conflict. Or undercover spies who got in relationship without knowing each other true identities and they really should kill each other since they work for different clients. The exact setting is of secondary importance to me, so choose whatever you feel would work best. AU Divergences are also welcome. I’m always a game for Akechi surviving. Especially, if he gets to shoot the final boss--he deserves that.

As for how spicy I want this pairing, I would be pretty okay with them having makeouts or even sex, but you shouldn’t feel pressured in this regard. I would be as delighted to see 5k words of them just doing intense mindgames.

I’m okay with including pretty much any other ships, except for the ones between the characters who are still students and adults in this case.

DORORO

I’m watching the anime as it comes out, so you are free to incorporate any new developments into the story. I will definitely be caught up on new episodes.

Hyakkimaru

I love the whole idea of someone’s sense and body parts being stolen with them. The process of Hyakkimaru regaining his body parts is fascinating and the main draw for me. You don’t have to concentrate on this aspect, but just a few mentions will go a long way for me.

I would love some sort of youkai of the week story. Hyakkimaru and Dororo having to figure out how to find it. Bonus points if Hyakkimaru’s newly regained senses become an asset/inconvenience when facing the youkai.

I asked for Hyakkimaru, because he is tied to the aspect of the story most interesting to me, but I’m okay with fic not focusing on him, especially for some of AU suggestions bellow.

AUs and ships

The “regaining body parts and senses” plotline is such a huge draw for me, I’m not big on any AUs that change the setting (unless you can somehow incorporate that aspect). Also I love how much the show commits to the gruesome warring states aesthetic, so I would definitely love to see more of that. 

However, I’m all for canon divergences or roleswaps. Like messing around with the order in which Hyakkimaru got his senses back. Or a roleswap AU where it’s Mio who is cursed and killing demons. Or Mio somehow surviving the attack, which results in Dororo and Hyakkimaru desperately trying to keep her alive despite the wounds she sustained. Or a bodyswap between two characters with Hyakkimaru being extra overwhelmed by suddenly having all senses and limbs, and the other character struggling to navigate his half-complete body.

I have no strong ship preferences here. I’m okay with Hyakkimaru/Mio, but if you have a strong preference for some other ship I probably won’t mind. I would prefer Hyakkimaru and Dororo’s relationship to remain platonic, though.

BEASTARS

I’m caught up with the manga, so don’t worry about spoiling anything for me or incorporating new developments.

Legosi

He’s beauty, he’s grace, he’s a teenage grey wolf with a lot on his plate.

I love Legosi as a character. He has great interactions with literally everybody and keeps getting himself in a lot of trouble without even trying. I would love watching how he bounces off other characters. I would especially love a case fic. I really enjoyed his investigation of Tem’s death and would love to see him solving other crimes/problems. Whether it be Rokume asking Legosi for help with yet another investigation, Yafya pushing him into doing something or Louis just grabbing him out of the street, because he needs a trusted person to help him find the truth, all those scenarios would be great. I would especially love, if someone was helping Legosi bounce the idea. I’m not picky about who it is, chose whichever character you like. Whether it be Louis, Haru, any classmate, theater member, Rokume or Legosi’s grandpa, they are all valid choices.

If investigation is not really your cup of tea, you can go for some other adventure. Maybe some story from when Legosi was working part-time for Gouhin? Or Legosi’s struggle with drama club stuff. Maybe an AU where Legosi ends up having to be an actor in some different circumstances?

AUs and ships

Setting influences the characters so much I can’t even imagine divorcing them from it. However, I don’t mind any Canon Divergences.

I’m okay with pretty much any ship for Legosi, other than shipping him with his family.

SWORD ART ONLINE

I haven’t read Alicization novels, just watched anime. I know anime skipped some content and if you want to use it in the story I’m fine with it, just make sure to establish the situation so I know what’s going on. However, I would be grateful for not spoiling the story from the novels that have yet to be adapted (you are free to use general worldbuilding from it, just don’t spoil major plot elements).

Eugeo/Kirito

I was perfectly fine with Asuna/Kirito becoming canon and then Eugeo comes and makes everything gay. Honestly, though, I love the interactions Eugeo and Kirito had and I would love to see more. Especially from their sword academy days where they had some peaceful time before they were brought to the tower. I want to know all the weird shenanigans they got into during that time, given how much like they acted like an old married couple. Or if you want something else then maybe some exploration of their struggles as they climb the tower. For example, a time loop taking place during their tower climb, with the system returning to the last save state each time Kirito dies to keep him alive. 

AUs and ships

I don’t have any suggestions, but I don’t mind setting changes if that’s where you want to go. I’m also okay with Canon Divergence AUs of any kind. Especially, for ones changing the ending of first season. Like, I’m okay with sad gay we got, but there are so many possibilites to explore here other than what canon gave us. Maybe have Eugeo permanently fuse with his blade so Kirito ends up having a sentient sword boyfriend. Or he asks Cardinal to transfer her authority to him and have him oppose Administator as the new Cardinal. There’s just so many interesting ways this could have gone.

As I mentioned I’m okay with Asuna/Kirito ship, so if you want you can incorporate it in the story. Just make sure the focus stays on Eugeo/Kirito. I must also admit that I really can’t see Eugeo’s feelings for Alice as romantic, so I would prefer them to not be portrayed as such.

BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA

I read the manga chapters as they come out, you can assume I’m caught up on all new developments.

Bakugou Katsuki/Uraraka Ochako

I love how different the two of them, but at the same time how well they see through each other. I would love to have them work together while showing both great teamwork, but at the same time butting heads over their differences in worldview. I also love how they both acknowledge each other’s strength.

They are both very focused on becoming heroes, so I would prefer that they don’t just get together easily. I believe they would be both be extremely reluctant to do so, because of their line of work and media attention that heroes get. Still, I would love to see the tension between them where their professionalism fights against their feelings.

For prompts I would love having them complete some sort of exercise or exam together. I would love to see them pretend to be villains for the sake of exercise and Ochako surprisingly getting into the role, with occassional moments of her breaking out of it, which give everyone a whiplash. I feel like Bakugo would have amusing reactions to seeing her act so out of character. Or the work together on something for school festival. Like making a perferomance togater. Alternatively you can go for future fic where the two of them take part in an action to stop villains. Maybe one of them gets hurt which prompts the other to get more honest about their feelings. 

AUs and ships

I would very much encourage any future fics for this pairing. I love seeing characters as fully-fledged heroes. I’m okay with other setting changes, though I would prefer for the competence aspect to still come in play somehow in them (with Bakugo being stupidly talented and hard working, while acknowledging Ochako’s potential). I’m also okay with canon divergences.

I don’t mind past Midoriya/Ochako if you want to incorporate it into the story, but I’d rather not get any love triangles for this pairing. Either have Ochako’s feelings sizzle out or have them date and break up at some point in the past. When it comes to other pairings I like Midoriya/Todoroki and Eraserhead/Mic, but have no strong feelings on other characters pairings, so you are free to do whatever I guess.

Akuma no Riddle characters’ name analysis

Hi everyone! So, I was doing some researches about the AnR characters' name, especially the kanjis, for my AnR kids headcanon. I discovered some interesting stuff so I wanted to make a post about the meaning of the characters' name and kanjis.

Azuma Tokaku (東 兎角): Azuma mean east and Tokaku is written with the kanji rabbit (兎, usagi) and horn (角, tsuno). Rabbit horn is an expression in Japanese that means impossible or something that shouldn't exist. Tokaku's grandmother gave her this name because according to her, Tokaku's strength would be so terrifying that her enemies would think it's impossible. That's also why Tokaku is sometimes referred as a rabbit.

Inukai Isuke (犬飼 伊介): Inukai means "dog keeper" (犬=dog, inu, 飼=keeper). I find it funny since people often portrait Isuke as a dog because of her name, but in fact, she's not the dog but its owner (which means the dog is a certain redhead...). Really the perfect name for someone who wants to be called with the honorific sama. I don't know much about the name Isuke, other than it's a male name and it's written with the kanji for "I" (伊) and “through” (介, kai).

Kaminaga Kouko (神長 香子): Kaminaga can mean chief and is written with the kanjis god (神, kami) and length (長, naga). The latter can also be read as chief. A perfect given name for the leader of everything, which also reminds of her past in a religious orphanage. Kouko is written with the kanji for incense (香, ka) and the kanji for child (子, ko). 香子 can also be read as Kaoriko, which means child's perfume. Maybe it's a symbolic for Kouko being trained as a child to be an assassin using bomb, since incense is something that needs to be burn, but at the same time, incense isn't dangerous and is even pleasant. Maybe it's linked to Kouko's desire to not be an assassin anymore.

Kirigaya Hitsugi (桐ヶ谷 柩): So, Kirigaya is written with the kanjis tung pill (桐, kiri), months (ヶ, ke) and valley (谷, tani). I've no idea what it's supposed to mean. Maybe a reference to poison? All I care is that there's "gay" in it...I'm so mature. Anyway, apparently, Hitsugi's sole kanji, 柩, means coffee. Coffee, a drug, which means...intoxication. Her names are all about toxine! It's a conspiracy! Okay no, I really got nothing other that for her name. Oh, there's another kanji that is also read Hitsugi, 棺, which means coffin. Really suspicious…Edit: "Kirigaya" can also mean "valley of paulownias". kiri meaning the latter word and gaya meaning valley.

Kenmochi Shiena (剣持 しえな): Kenmochi means swordship and it's written with the kanji sword (剣, ken) and possession (持, ji). kinda ironic for a girl who didn't fight at all, it looks more like a name for Chitaru (even more ironic since Shiena got poisoned over her supposed crush on Chitaru, perhaps this name was chosen because of that?). About her first name, ell apparently, according to google translate, it means sorry. That just makes me laugh. I guess she's really sorry to have been poisoned by a loli yandere. Okay, more seriously, about the kanji. There's To (し), huh (え, what?), and...literally what (な). Okay. Then we should call her Swordship Sorry now. Couple of years ago I'd read that しえ means purple, but I can't find the source now. Too bad, because it's Otoya's hair colour and it made my OtoShie shipper heart go doki doki. Edit: Shiena’s name can also be written 詩絵菜, with the kanjis 詩 (shi) meaning "poetry, poem", 絵 (e) meaning "picture, painting, drawing, sketch" combined with 菜 (na) meaning "vegetables, greens". I’m not sure if it’s relevant since her name in AnR isn’t written that way, but it could be a reference to her more artistic self, especially regarding theater. Tho it’s kinda ironic if it’s the case, since her least favorite food is vegetable.

Sagae Haruki (寒河江 春紀): So, Sagae is written with the kanji cold (寒, samu), river (河, kawa) and jiang (江, kô). So...she's a cold river. Perhaps it's a reference to being free? Water does feel like freedom. Haruki can mean Spring Season Tree or Spring Century. It's written with the kanji spring (春, haru) and age (紀, nori). I guess Haruki is a sunny person? I don't really have a lot of stuff for her name, sorry.

Shuto Suzu (首藤 涼): Shuto is written with the kanji neck (首, kubi) and wisteria (藤, fuji), which is a type of flower. So wisteria neck. I guess that the neck of a flower is the stem, so Suzu's head...is a flower? Well, she does have a lot of knowledge in flowers. Then her name Suzu, it's a really interesting case. Her name's sole kanji is 涼, which means cool/fresh, and is usually read as Ryō. But in the same Suzuka, which means fresh breeze it's written with the kanji 涼, and 風 (kaze, wind). Suzu's ending song is also named Suzukaze. Maybe it’s related to Suzu rather cool personality. Usually, the same Suzu is written with the kanji 鈴, which means bell.

Takechi Otoya (武智 乙哉): Takechi is written with the kanji war (武, Take) and intellect (智, akira). So intellectual war, perhaps it’s related to her manipulative nature when it comes to kill her victim. It can also be written Takeshi. 武 is really a kanji related to military and martial, and it’s used to write the word samurai, warrior. Perhaps a reference to Otoya being an assassin, or rather, a serial killer. Otoya can also be written  二矢, which means two arrows. Far-fetched, but perhaps it’s linked to the fact her weapon, scissors, had two blades. Her actual name is written with the kanji for second part (乙, otsu), and alas (哉, kana). Not so sure what it could mean.

Namatame Chitaru (生田目 千足): Namatame is written with the kanji living (生, nama), rice field (田, ta) and eye (目, me). Kinda make me reminds how we all thought Chitaru died, but it’s revealed at the end that she survived, that she’s living. She also said that she likes rice. For the eyes, perhaps it’s related to justice? It reminds me of the idiom an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. But that idiom referred more to vengeance than justice, which goes with what I think of Chitaru’s action in the series. Rather than doing actual justice, what she did was vengeance. Chitaru’s name can mean A thousand steps, and it’s written with the kanji thousand (千, sen) and leg (足, achi). All I got for that is that steps is important in sword fighting, and with the thousand, perhaps it’s because Chitaru is really experienced swordswoman.

Hashiri Nio (走り 鳰)/Kuzunoha Nio (葛葉 鳰): Hashiri means running, and it’s written with the kanji running (走, hashi) and the hiragana ri (り). It’s a fake name Nio gave herself for Class Black, because she didn’t want Tokaku to know she was from the Kuzunoha clan, the rivals of the Azuma clan. She chose it because she will always be running for the chairwoman. Nio’s name is written with the sole kanji 鳰, which means nio. Nio is an old name for the grebes that lived in Lake Biwa. It’s a name the chairwoman gave her because Nio didn’t have a name before, she was only referred as runt (or chibi in Japanese). Apparently, it’s the name of a bird from the place Nio was born (Shiga I think). Kuzunoha is written with the kanji arrowroot (葛, Kuzu) and leaf (葉, ha). I’m kinda surprised, I was expecting her name to mean west, like Azuma means east. But arrowroot is a West Indian herbaceous plant from which a starch is prepared. So it’s somehow related to west. Interesting fact, when Haru read her classmates’ name at the beginning, she used the honorific kun for both Isuke and Nio, and later she’s surprised to see that both of them are girls, which means Nio is most likely a male name too. Haru had also use kun for Tokaku, Hitsugi, Haruki and Otoya. Funny detail, but hiragana is usually used for feminine names.

Hanabusa Sumireko (英 純恋子): Hanabusa is written with the sole kanji 英, which means Ei, English in Japanese. It can also be read as "Hanabusa" (meaning "the calyx of a flower") but it can also be read as "Hana" (meaning "flower"). Sumireko did seem to like flowers, and I think it can symbolize her elegant nature. English is often viewed as noble, so perhaps it’s also related to the choice of her name. Her name Sumireko can also be read as Junko, who’s usually written 純子 (I’m trying hard to not make a danganronpa reference). The kanji used are pure (純, jun), love (恋, koi) and child (子, ko). The pure love of a child. Kinda ironic for a girl whose childhood consisted of assassination attempts against her.

Banba Mahiru (番場 真昼)/Banba Shinya (番場 真夜): Banba can mean place and is written with the kanji for number (番, ban) and place (場, ba). Perhaps number is a reference of their two personalities in the same place (the same body?). Mahiru can means midday or broad daylight, while shinya can mean midnight or full night, a clear reference to their day and night split personality. There’s two other way to write Shinya. It’s either 深夜 (Shinya, late at night) or 真也 (Shin’ya, that mean trust, believe, real or genuine). Shinya’s name seems to be a mix of both, and perhaps this name was chosen because Shinya is the only person Mahiru trust. Interesting fact, Mahiru can be both a girl and a boy name, while Shinya is always a male name. Shinya also uses the pronoun ore, which is almost only used by boy, and is a rude way to talk. So perhaps Shinya identify as a boy (but I don’t personally think so but who knows). Interesting thing. If you remove the first letter of Mahiru, it gives Ahiru, which means duck in Japanese (アヒル). I’m not sure if it was intentional but it sure is funny, considering Banba’s liking for plastic ducks.

Ichinose Haru (一ノ瀬 晴):  Ichinose is written with the kanji 一 (one, ichi), the katakana no (ノ) and the kanji age (瀬, se). It can also mean "Position of current" (ichi no se) in Japanese. Perhaps because Haru is the current queen bee to be tested? One is Tokaky’s number, but perhaps the one here is somehow as a reference as her being the target, since it’s the first number. Her name Haru usually means springs, but in her case, it’s written with the kanji for sunny (晴, hare). It’s not the same kanji as in Haruki’s name. According to Tokaku (and Shinya too?), Haru smells like the sun, which fits her same. It can also fit Haru’s bright personality.

Kaiba (カイバ): Kaiba is written with the katakana power (カ, ka), the (I think) katakana a (イ) and ba (バ). It can mean seahorse in Japanese.

Mizorogi Ataru (溝呂木 辺): Mizorogi is written with the kanjis groove (溝, mizo), ryo (呂) and wood (木, ki). It’s ironic that he as a kanji about groove (some kind of depression) in is name, since he’s pretty depressed near the end of the series. Ataru can also be written 陽, which means the sun, and is both a male and female name. Ataru’s name is written with the kanji side (辺, hen). Maybe it’s linked to his sunny personality and the fact he’s a side character.

Yuri Meichi (百合 目一): Yuri means lily, a type of flower, and those are the exact kanjis for the word yuri, referring to girl’s love manga in Japan. Kouga and Minakata must have found this really funny, since the chairwoman is behind everything and it’s a yuri manga. It’s written with the kanjis hundred (百, hyaku) and synthesis (合, gô). Meichi can mean eye and is written with the kanjis eye (目, me) and one (一 , ichi). 目 is also the first kanji for the word goal and purpose. I find it interesting that she also has the kanji ichi in her name, like Haru. The name Meichi is fitting for someone who’s an ambitious person who wants to be the best, which could fit the chairwoman, especially her current position.

Azuma Mako (東 まこ): Mako is written with the katakana up (ま, ma) and this (こ, ko). Up, maybe for up there, in heaven. Perhaps it’s a reference to the fact she’s dead and in heaven.

Azuma Karami (東 空身): Karami can mean sky. It’s written with the kanjis sky (空, sora) and body (身, mi). Again, sky can refer to heaven, referring to the fact she’s dead and in heaven, just like her sister.

Inukai Eisuke (犬飼 英介). Eisuke can also be written 英輔. His name is written with the kanjis English (英, ei) and through (介, kai). The first kanji is the same as Hanabusa’s kanji and the same as Isuke’s last kanji. It can also be written 栄祐 and 栄助 , which means glory, honour (栄, ei) and divine intervention, protection (祐, suke) or help, aid (助, suke). Eisuke did help Isuke when she was a kid, and I guess for an assassin, he has some honour.

Irina (イリーナ): I think those are katakana, which are usually used in Japanese for foreign names. Irina does seem like she’s not or not fully Japanese because of her darker skin.

Thank you for taking your time to check my requests. I know my requests can sound a bit tricky, but please don’t be discouraged. I wish you will have good time writing first and foremost!

Momo Chiyoda, Yuuko Yoshida

I almost missed this hidden comedic gem of summer season. It was such a great mix of hilarious comedy and heartwarming character interactions I ended up loving it.

I want to see more misadventures of Momo and Yuuko. Whether it be their training Yuuko's training or Yuuko making sure that Momo actually eats proper meals. If you want to include other characters I'm definitely up to it. I would also love to see Momo interacting more with Yuuko's sister and lying through her teeth about being part of Yuuko's army of darkness. Or more dream invading shenanigans with Yuuko accidentally helping Momo's mental state. I would also love to see more of Ancestor's evil sheming going absolutely nowhere, because Yuuko is too much of a good person, or rather demon. I would also love an outsider's POV of a random magical girl who comes to the city to check up the situation and gets caught in Momo's and Mikan's frantic attempts to hide the true state of affairs. 

AUs and ships 

I'd rather not get setting changes for this AU, as I love the demons and magical girls setup of the story. That being said I would love any divergence. Maybe Momo fell for it and agreed to join Momo's side at the end of the story. What if Yuuko's sister suddenly awakened to magical girl powers? Or maybe Yuuko and Momo end up bodyswapping due to some magical accident.

I definitely ship Momo and Yuuko, but I also love the natural domesticity they have in the series even though neither of them really considers romance. So if you want to go into romance, whether you give them a chance to confess their feelings or write a pre-relationship story will make me happy.

DORORO (ANIME 2019)

Hyakkimaru

I love the whole idea of someone’s sense and body parts being stolen with them. The process of Hyakkimaru regaining his body parts is fascinating and the main draw for me. You don’t have to concentrate on this aspect, but just a few mentions will go a long way for me.

I would love some sort of youkai of the week story. Hyakkimaru and Dororo having to figure out how to find it. Bonus points if Hyakkimaru’s newly regained senses become an asset/inconvenience when facing the youkai.

I asked for Hyakkimaru, because he is tied to the aspect of the story most interesting to me, but I’m okay with fic not focusing on him, especially for some of AU suggestions bellow.

AUs and ships

The “regaining body parts and senses” plotline is such a huge draw for me, I’m not big on any AUs that change the setting (unless you can somehow incorporate that aspect). Also I love how much the show commits to the gruesome warring states aesthetic, so I would definitely love to see more of that.

However, I’m all for canon divergences or roleswaps. Like messing around with the order in which Hyakkimaru got his senses back. Or a roleswap AU where it’s Mio who is cursed and killing demons. Or Mio somehow surviving the attack, which results in Dororo and Hyakkimaru desperately trying to keep her alive despite the wounds she sustained. Or a bodyswap between two characters with Hyakkimaru being extra overwhelmed by suddenly having all senses and limbs, and the other character struggling to navigate his half-complete body.

I have no strong ship preferences here. I’m okay with Hyakkimaru/Mio, but if you have a strong preference for some other ship I probably won’t mind (just don’t make it the focus of the fic). I would prefer Hyakkimaru and Dororo’s relationship to remain platonic, though.

I’m reading the manga chapters as they come out, so don’t worry about spoiling anything for me or incorporating new developments. 

Legosi

He’s beauty, he’s grace, he’s a teenage grey wolf with a lot on his plate.

I love Legosi as a character. He has great interactions with literally everybody and keeps getting himself in a lot of trouble without even trying. I would love watching how he bounces off other characters. I would especially love a case fic. I really enjoyed his investigation of Tem’s death and would love to see him solving other crimes/problems. Whether it be Rokume asking Legosi for help with yet another investigation, Yafya pushing him into doing something or Louis just grabbing him out of the street, because he needs a trusted person to help him find the truth, all those scenarios would be great. I would especially love, if someone was helping Legosi bounce off the ideas. I’m not picky about who it is, chose whichever character you like. Whether it be Louis, Haru, any classmate, theater member, Rokume or Legosi’s grandpa, they are all valid choices.

If investigation is not really your cup of tea, you can go for some other adventure. Maybe some story from when Legosi was working part-time for Gouhin? Or Legosi’s struggle with drama club stuff. Maybe an AU where Legosi ends up having to be an actor in some different circumstances?

AUs and ships

Setting influences the characters so much I can’t even imagine divorcing them from it. However, I don’t mind any Canon Divergences.

I’m okay with pretty much any ship for Legosi, other than shipping him with his family.

Yuri Briar

Look I was sceptic about Yuri when he got first introduced, but then I saw the utter mess he became in the presence of his sister and her husband, and just feel in love with how bad he was at feelings. Between his blind adoration for his sister and his love-hate for Lloyd, he's just an entertaining mess.

I would love more shenanigans with him. Maybe he starts stalking their house in free time to make sure his sister is okay and Anya notices him, because he is thinking so loudly she can't do her homework. Or he follows Yoru and Lloyd on date and agonizes over how lovey-dovey they appear to him. Or both Yoru and Lloyd have assignments to take care off and are forced to ask Yuri to babysit Anya. I would enjoy seeing him interact with anyone in the Forger family, whether it be Yoru, Lloyd or Anya.

AUs and ships

I don't mind setting changes, but would want the relationship between the characters to remain similar in nature to the canon one. On that note I don't have much AU suggestions for this. The canon setting and relationships are interesting enough that I don't really see how they could be improved, but hey if you have an idea go for it. 

 As for ships, while Lloyd and Yoru are always a valid ship, I do have a weakness for younger brother characters having a love-hate relationship with their sister's boyfriend. Which is why if you want to include Yuri having one-sided feelings for Lloyd, a suggested threesome or something like that go for it. My only request is to make sure Anya won't be miserable with whatever outcome you chose.

I'm playing on global server, but I don't mind being spoiled for stuff from japanese one. Just take into account I'm not following what happens there.

Tsuruhime Yachiyo

Yachiyo stole my heart from the moment I saw her. I love the cool and mysterious air she cultivates around herself. How she is very outspoken, but at the same time knows exactly how to keep secrets. She's the type of character I enjoy a lot and would love to see even more of her. I enjoy the relationships she has with other Edels and her unexpected friendship with Mahiru. But if you also want to show her interacting with other characters I would be fine with it. As per canon I would love all things theater. I love the discussion about the plays and character's constant drive to improve. I would enjoy some glimpses into the preparations for "Elysion", since I find it fascinating and it was what helped to bring the current Edels truly together as a team. But any other play canon or not is a fair game. I also really loved Sherlock Holmes one.

AUs and ships 

I'd rather receive no setting changes for this canon, as I love the theater shenaningans this canon offers. However, I don't mind some canon divergences or other type of stuff. Maybe Yachiyo ends up going to a different school? What if she went to Seisho instead and got caught up in the Banana's time-loop shenanigans (I know she's technically a year younger, but well this is an AU corner, so no reason to sweat small details)? Roleswap could also be interesting with Yachiyo being the head of Edels who everyone look up to while Akira and Michiru are the first years instead.

As for the ships I'd rather Michiru wasn't in relationship with anyone. I'm okay with hints or mentions of her and Akira being a thing in the past, but I'd rather it wasn't a present thing. Other than that I don't have any strong preferences, so you are free. However, to give an example here are some potential ships with Yachiyo I would love: 

- Yachiyo/Akira - I loved them as a two romantic leads of "Elysion" and even if canon won't give me anything more to go by I will ship it. I also think Yachhiyo is the most likely to see through Akira and accept her for who she is. After all she too is keeping a mask over her true feelings.

- Yachiyo/Shiori - Yachiyo is very supportive of Shiori, I feel like the two of them could really make it work. They both respect each other and work hard together.

- Yachiyo/Mahiru - Arsene and Moriarty! I loved their little stunt together and it really felt like the two of them found a common ground during the Sherlock event. I love their friendship, but I would certainly enjoy seeing them get together, too.
