This is a request!
Knock Knock Knock
The loud knocking at your dorm room door shook you out of your sleep. "Y/n!? I know you're in there! I don't have my keys, lemme in!" A voice pierced the silence of your room.
You rolled over, trying to cover your ears.
"WAKE UP!" The voice shouted again, louder this time while there was more banging on the door.
You dragged yourself out of the bed, stumbling over to the door. As soon as you unlocked the door, it opened and almost hit you in the face. The light from the hallway spilled in as a shadow entered your room.
The shadow moved the light switch and brightened the room, illuminating his face. "You sleep like a log." Kai's black hair was a mess, he was wearing grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
"And you're forgetful. This is the third time this week that you forgot your keys." You rubbed your eyes as you got used to the light.
"I was in a rush, I had to get to the gym and I left them in my other bag. He said as he started digging in his backpack, searching for his keys.
You had morning classes, and Kai had ones toward the afternoon, so you had time for mid-day naps while he always rushed to make it through the day. It's always been like that for the two of you. You've always been three steps ahead, but his natural dumb luck would help him keep up with you. Even when you met for the first time in middle school at an award ceremony for high grades. You'd worked your ass off, day and night, to get your scores up, and Kai slept through every class. But still, he'd get higher scores than you. Which only pushed you to work harder to beat him. Every competition, you'd ruin your sleep schedule to one-up him, and he'd somehow make it a tie or barely beat you...
You walked into the bathroom to wash your face, and Kai started changing out of his gym clothes. The both of you managed to get a spot in the honors college dorm room, only available for students with a certain GPA upon enrolling, and you ended up being slotted with him since your other roommate strangely transferred out before the semester started. Leaving you in the company of your worst enemy that you've had for several years.
You closed the door to the bathroom and started getting undressed for your shower when you heard the doorknob shake.
"No way you're about to shower," Kai said through the door.
"You should've been quicker." You giggle to yourself as you take your time getting ready.
He shook the doorknob again. "Come on! You knew I wanted to shower–I always shower right after the gym. You're going to make me late for class!"
"Not my problem. You should just shower at the gym. That's why there are locker rooms."
"No!" Kai kicked the door, "there's no way I'm showering over there! It smells horrible, and there's a bunch of people there. Please let me shower first!"
"Not gonna happen, you always leave hair in the shower, and it's fucking gross. And I have somewhere to be, too!"
"Well, you take thirty years, and you're not even washing your hair!"
"How do you know!?"
"You washed it yesterday! I could smell your shampoo."
"Are you sure that wasn't you using mine?"
"I was running out of my own! I said I'd buy you a new one!" Kai kicked the door again, harder this time. "Like, let me shower with you at least, I can't miss this class. I have an exam next week, and today's the review day, and there's no way I'm going while smelling like B.O.!" Kai stepped away from the door and shoulder-checked it, shaking the entire door.
You jumped at the thud. "You idiot! If you break this door, I'm not paying to get it fixed!" You covered yourself with a towel before opening the door.
Kai looked like he was ready to try hitting the door again before you opened it. "Thank you." He was covered in sweat, his hair sticking to his face, and his clothes dark in some spots. But what stuck out was his hard dick swinging in his sweatpants.
You looked away, covering your eyes. "Jesus, dude, no underwear again?"
He chuckled. "Don't act like you don't like seeing it anyway. I've caught you looking a few times."
"Fuck you." You spat back at him. You tried to walk past time but he blocked the way. "Can you move already?"
"You said you had to go somewhere, so we both gotta shower. We can share. We're both dudes." Kai said as he stripped his shirt off before you.
"Gross, I'll pass–"
"Stop being a bitch and get in the shower." His voice was more serious this time, not like his usual nagging. Without his sweatshirt, his figure was a little more imposing, especially with freshly pumped muscles.
You awkwardly submitted to him without any extra argument, moving into the shower. If Kai wanted, he could've easily carried you into the shower, so it was better not to push him. There was shuffling from the other side of the curtain before it parted. You instinctually turned away from him, feeling warm in your ears.
"Turn the water on. Don't make the water too hot. I'm not looking to sit in a sauna." He commanded.
You braced as you turned on the water. Ice-cold water ran across your skin, immediately making you scoot backward into Kai.
"Watch it." Kai put his hand on your back to stop you from moving closer to him.
"I-Its cold!"
He sighed. "Then switch with me. You can lather up while I get some time in the water."
You slowly started scooting in his direction, trying not to look at him. But Kai started getting impatient, grabbing you by the shoulders and forcing you behind him. You peeked over your shoulder to see his broad back facing you, water running down it. You never really looked at Kai's backside, but he was more muscular than he looked under his baggy clothes.
"The soap," Kai said, handing you the bottle, not turning around.
You took it from him. Now facing his back, you couldn't help but notice how big his butt was. He loved working leg days, but he'd always been blessed with a better ass than you... You could feel your whole body getting hot while looking him over so closely. You felt like a perverted weirdo, looking at him like that. You turned around, facing the wall, and started lathering soap onto you, waiting for Kai to switch with you again.
"The water's not cold, so we can switch now." He muttered.
You switched places with him again, letting the soap rinse off you. It felt better to face the wall, but you couldn't stop thinking about Kai standing right behind. You could feel your dick twitch at the thought, your breath hitched as you tried to focus. But your concentration was cut off by a soft sigh, almost a moan but it was cut short. Your book ran cold. Did you somehow slip a moan out and not even realize it? You peeked over your shoulder to see Kai's reaction, but his back was turned to you.
Kai's eyes were squeezed shut, gently and quietly jerking himself off while biting his lip to keep quiet.
You faced the water again, throat dry but your body tingling. "H-Hey, I think I'm ready to get out now."
"O-Oh, yeah, okay. I'll finish up, you can go first..." Kai said, barely loud enough to hear over the shower.
You stepped out of the shower, water dripping on the floor as you left Kai alone. You hurried out of the bathroom, changed clothes, and crawled back into bed. All you could think about was Kai jerking off...
You tossed in your bed until your leg rubbed against your cock, grinding against you. You couldn't stop yourself from slipping your hand into your pants, stroking yourself slowly. Your eyes slowly shut as you get more into it.
"Kai...," you softly moaned his name.
You could feel him hover over you, whispering seductively. "Oh? Getting into something and calling out for me?"
You replied with a moan, wanting more from him.
Kai's hands moved to your sides, sliding up your torso. His hair tickled your face as it swept across your face.
"Are you daydreaming? Y/n?" He cooed. "Why don't you open your eyes and see the real thing."
Your eyes cracked open in confusion to see Kai sitting over you. You didn't even hear him turn off the shower, much less get so close.
"What's wrong, y/n? You were having so much fun a second ago.." Kai slid his hand over your hard-on, earning a rewarding flinch from you. "Touching yourself to me, even though I'm in the next room, how shameful."
Your face got hot again. "Well, it– You. You were doing it too!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Me? When?"
"In our shower together! I saw you jacking off, and moaning in secret."
"Y/n. I just got back home." He said flatly.
"No, we just showered together..." You muttered.
He shook his head. "I just got back from the gym. I remembered my keys this time, so I let myself in. I thought you were sleeping until you called me, and I saw you like this." He chuckled. "Did you dream all that!?"
You tried to push him off you, but he was firm in his position over you.
"Okay, laugh it up or do whatever you're gonna do." You crossed your arms and let your head fall against the bed, waiting for Kai's endless teasing to begin.
You were instead greeted by Kai's mouth meeting yours, his hands grabbing yours and holding them above your head.
"You should be careful about letting me do 'whatever' to you." Kai bit at your neck
"Kai–" You tried to push him, but he had to much of a grip on you.
"You wanted me so badly in your dream, so why can't I want you back?" He giggled as he licked at the new mark forming on your neck.
"I don't understand..." You shyly muttered.
He let you go, letting you sit up as he held you. "It's okay if you don't understand. I do. You finally get it, that I'm better. You've given up fighting me, and now you're willing to be my second place."
You reeled away from him. "That's not what this is about!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Isn't it?" His hands smoothly moved to lace his fingers with yours. "You can feel it. You can't really beat me, I'm just naturally better. I'm smarter, stronger, and faster than you. You're so fucked up by me that it made you obsessed, so much that you couldn't even really realize it. Your brain couldn't handle it so your body decided to spell it out for you." He said in the condescending tone he loved to use when talking to you.
He continued, "To be honest. I wanted to impress you in the beginning when we met. So I tried to work hard to get you to see me, to show my feelings for you. But then, you went crazy about me. About beating me, don't even lie that you didn't. I could always tell you'd do anything to be better than me." Kai slowly slid you back down onto the bed, towering over you. His hand slid into your pants, gripping your cock.
Your whole body melted under his touch, reacting like electricity. But you didn't get why...
Kai quickly and roughly jerked you off while he spoke in between neck kisses. "You can't even put words together, can you? My dumb little bunny. You're just so in love with me, you can't fight it anymore. You're even dreaming of me."
Something in your brain snapped when he called you a dumb bunny. You finished his hand, body jerking at the sensation.
"Oh no, bunny. Did I tell you to do that?"
You shook your head no.
"Speak."
"No, you didn't..." You muttered in defeat. Every word and touch made it feel like you were falling deeper into quicksand. You tried to think about it, the moment you fell for him. But you could only see Kai in every memory. You knew you hated him beating you, but you also had a feeling of enjoying his teasing when he beat you.
"Then, take your pants off," Kai commanded.
Your body moved before your brain understood, stripping off your pants and waiting for more directions.
"Can you suck me off? You like cock, don't you? You dumb slutty bunny."
You nod mindlessly. You loved hearing him call you Bunny. Hearing him call you dumb slowly made the static in your brain get stronger. You weren't really thinking anymore.
Kai pulled down his pants and let his thick cock slap against his toned stomach. He sat you up on your knees and stood at the edge of the bed. He let out a sharp breath as you took his cock in your hands, and let your tongue slide out to gently lick his tip.
"This is your first time, isn't it?" He whispered.
You look up at him with shy wet eyes, nodding.
"Then, I'll make it a good time for you. You'll crave me even more after this..." Kai pushed your mouth on him, pushing you to take him. Moaning and closing his eyes as he felt his shaft enter your mouth.
You struggled to handle him, but Kai didn't let it stop you.
He pushed more, urging you to take more. And you obeyed without a second thought, taking as much of his length as you could. "Take a deep breath and hold it bunny. I'm going to push you."
You felt Kai pull out of your mouth completely, giving you the chance to breathe. You held your breath as you felt him hold your head in place. His tip pointed at your mouth, waiting patiently for you to allow his entry. You opened your mouth and he slowly pushed in, keeping you from moving. Inch by inch, it slid into your mouth. Your eyes shut as your body twitched.
"Good, bunny." Kai moaned as he kept going. "Almost there, just a little more." Kai let out a louder moan and stopped moving, his cock buried completely in your mouth. Your eyes rolled back as you fell limp in his grip. "No gagging? Oh, you're such a special slut, aren't you? I'll get a little rough with you then..."
Kai pulled out completely again before slamming his cock back into your mouth, fucking into it while holding you in place. The noises are so wet and gross, but you couldn't help but love every second. Your throat burned, your jaw ached, Kai pulled at your hair tightly, and tears streamed down your face, but Kai's moans kept you going.
You could feel the muscles in Kai's thighs tensing. His body heat growing. You moaned in excitement.
"Oh, you're ready for it? Then, here's your first reward!" Kai shouted as he came down your throat.
Pump after pump, his eyes rolling back and face contouring into pleasure. It was so much that you couldn't swallow everything, and it started leaking out of your mouth. "Oh, well that's okay for your first time. But I'd prefer it if you swallowed as much as you can. It's less messy."
You felt Kai pulling away but tried to use your mouth to suck on him more, pulling him in. You swallowed as much as you could, almost every drop. Then kept sucking on his shaft.
"J-Jesus! Bun, wait–calm down!" Kai moaned.
His body tried to pull away, but you used your hands to hold him.
"Bunny! Stop!" Kai shouted at you.
You snapped back to reality and let him go. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that..."
Kai lifted your chin. "It seems like you want more, right?"
You, embarrassed, nodded.
"Beg for me then. Tell me you want more."
You threw away the last ounce of dignity that you had. "Kai, I really love your cock. Please give me more! I'm such a dumb, stupid, bunny. I'm only good for whatever you want me to do. I–I..."
Kai smiled. "You, what?"
"I'm just a cock slut for you. I only want your dick..."
Kai laughed softly. "I know, bunny. You really are crazy about me... So, go, lay down. On your stomach"
You listened to him as you lay on the bed. Face down, your back instantly arching.
"Oh, what a perverted bunny. You already know the position... And what great for you have." Kai said as his hand traced your arch and stopped on your ass, giving it a hard smack and earning a pitiful yelp from you. "Stay here, I need to prepare you. Talk to me if something's not right."
You wait patiently as you hear Kai shuffle around the room, looking for things and opening drawers on his desk. You feel a cold liquid hit your whole, slimy and drippy. You shiver for a moment, but the cold is immediately replaced by the introduction of a warm finger inside of you. Your body reacts and pulls away from it, but Kai holds you in place.
"It's your first time, so it's going to be a little difficult. But if you run, it will be more difficult." Kai takes his time preparing you, talking to you the whole time. checking on you, making sure you're able to handle the next level as he moves in with more fingers. "Okay, it's time. Now's the chance to stop if you need Bunny. You came twice just from me prepping you..."
You were sweating and drooling on the sheets. You could barely form real words, but you knew you went through all of that for a reason. You needed him in you. Your body shuddered as you let an embarrassingly loud moan, begging for Kai.
"Okay, then. We'll keep going." He whispered as he slicked his member up. "Remember to keep breathing."
You took long deep breaths as you felt his tip positioned outside your hole. One of his hands held your hip and guided you backward onto him. You felt it enter you, and you could almost see colors. It was so hot, that all your brain could muster was the word hot.
"Oh, it's hot, so hot, very, hot cock." You drooled.
"It's not hot, it's just not your body temperature. You'll get used toit."
You twitched as he pushed slowly deeper into you.
"You're doing such a good job, bunny. Just hang in there."
You could feel Kai splitting you apart with how thick he was. And it felt like there was no end to his cock. You thought every inch would be the last but it just kept going. But then he hit the bundle of nerves that made you almost scream and buck backward onto him, forcing the rest into you. Your mouth hung open, drool slipping out, and your eyes started to lose focus.
"Bunny! Are you okay?" Kai stroked your back, not wanting to move.
After a few minutes of not moving, you managed to get back under control.
Kai stared at you in disbelief. "I don't know you did it, but you're seriously taking all of me... Feel it." Kai took your hand and pressed it to your stomach, letting you feel a small bump in your gut. "You have me so deep in you, bunny. Good job!" Kai shifted you, leaning you into his arms. Your back against his chest. "Now, here's the really fun part..."
Kai lifted you off the bed, cock still in you, and maneuvered you against the wall. He spun you around on his cock so your back was against the wall, so he could look at you while fucking you.
"Look at you, so easy to toss around." He said as he did his first thrust into you.
"So cute with my cock inside you, bulging your tummy." He said as he did two more thrusts.
"Twitching, squeezing, and milking my cock. You want me, bunny?"
You nodded. "Please fuck me, Kai. I need this!"
Kai didn't respond, he pressed you harder into the wall and started slamming into you. He held you against the wall the whole time while fucking you, kissing you on your neck and lips. Occasionally licking away your tears while you rode out the waves of pleasure splashing into you. Kai stopped holding back completely, going even faster, making you cum all over the both of you.
"My turn," Kai grunted as he slammed into you, holding your hips against his body to get as deep as he could. He drains his balls into you, every last drop pouring into you as he uses one hand to feel his cock in your stomach as it pumps into you.
Kai took his time to breathe before guiding you back to the bed and laying you down carefully. "Did you live, bunny?"
You breathlessly nodded. You came at least 4 times in one session and were this close to passing out. Your lips were red and swollen, your hair a mess, and had a necklace of kiss marks around your neck.
"Well, bunny. Now that you're mine. It's my job to take care of you now. So why don't I give you a nice shower..." Kai chuckled as he kissed your forehead. He carried you into the bathroom as you started dozing off, leaning on him as he cleaned you...

Camp Wiegman-Part 43
Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle
Alternative Universe : Military School
Words : 8k
TW: Violence
Masterlist
———————————————————————
Wednesday, February 3rd; 7:30 PM - Cafeteria
What a strange day I’ve just had. I expected it to be the worst day of my life, but in the end, it wasn’t so bad. It was even better than yesterday. It seems like starting the day in Lucy’s arms was what I needed to regain my energy. To think I had promised myself to stay away from her so I wouldn’t suffer from my feelings... However, last night was a necessity for my mental well-being after what happened with Korbin. I wouldn’t have slept without her. I wouldn’t have passed my economics and management exams without her help either. I have to admit it: she saved my skin again, and all in just one evening. Her study sessions are more effective than Alessia’s, even though I wish that wasn’t the case. I enjoyed studying with Alessia. It had become our thing, but it was also nice to reconnect with Lucy.
Today, since our interaction, was the first day we had a conversation. I thanked her this morning for letting me sleep with her when she didn’t have to. To my surprise, she didn’t even ask for reasons, even though I’m sure she was itching to know. She noticed my state yesterday, and I’m sure she had questions. Maybe she’s sticking to her promise not to interfere in my life anymore. Either way, whatever the reasons, I’m grateful to her. I wouldn’t have been able to give her the answers she was looking for.
On top of that, she seemed different. She was kinder. It was as if yesterday had given her hope that I’d talk to her again. Maybe she has reasons to believe so... I mean, I realized that ignoring her wasn’t the best idea, even if it was necessary to stop resenting her as much. Talking to her again after this break reminded me why I like her, and even if she doesn’t offer the kind of relationship I want, I’ve missed having her around.
Aside from that, my day was rather peaceful, against all expectations. My tormentors decided to leave me alone today. At least, that was the case until now. I’m caught off guard when Korbin sits next to me while I’m quietly talking with my friends. I have to admit she has even more guts than I thought. Her friends aren’t as bold as she is. Her threats scared me so much that I made sure to stay with people all day. That seemed to have kept her friends at bay, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Korbin right now. She dares to come to me even though I’m surrounded by my friends.
“So, Batlle, avoiding me today?”
“Not at all.”
I’m a terrible liar. It’s true that except for class, we haven’t seen each other. It’s not like I’m going to follow her around either.
“My threats yesterday worked, huh?”
“Shut up, will you.”
I would’ve liked to glare at her, but I barely managed to get that little phrase out. A million shivers run through my body just remembering the position I found myself in under her hands. No one around me knows what happened, so now isn’t the time for them to find out.
“Don’t get all high and mighty with me, little bitch.”
“Seriously, who do you think you are, Korbin? Leave her alone, or I’ll go get Bronze!” Alexia threatens.
“Oh no, you won’t. Right, Ona?”
I grit my teeth in response to Alexia’s pleading eyes. No, she’s right. I can’t do that if I want to avoid something worse than yesterday. I see curiosity in my roommate’s eyes, but I stay silent. I have to keep my cool. Lucy promised me yesterday that she would handle Korbin and then stop interfering in my life. According to her, this is too serious a matter for her to ignore. She also advised me not to fall into their provocations. It’s best to keep a clean image in front of Wiegman if it comes to that. Korbin laughs and pats my head as if I were a dog. My jaw tightens, and I close my eyes. Just a little more patience.
“You catch on quickly, it seems.”
“Shut up.”
“Is that all you can say?” she smiles.
“What do you want from me, seriously?” I snap. “I didn’t even know you before we were in the same class!”
“Oh, is the little one getting angry? I’m just taking away the advantages you’ve been given, bitch.”
“Enough,” Alba says, banging on the table. “Get away from our table.”
“Definitely not. Don’t interfere! This is between the princess and me.”
“Let’s settle this now, then.”
“Oh really? Is that what you want?” she asks me.
“Yeah, it’s what I want.”
“Ona...” Ale warns me.
“No, this situation is getting ridiculous. Tell me what you have against me or what you want me to do so we can be done with it. I’ll do it if it means you’ll leave me alone.”
“Stay away from Bronze.”
Her answer surprises me so much that I’m at a loss for words. So there is a connection to Lucy, just as I suspected. Her request makes me laugh, given its absurdity and our situation. I haven’t been more distant from Lucy than I have in recent weeks.
“What’s so funny?”
“She’s my supervisor, you idiot! If anyone needs to be told to stay away, it’s not me. It’s not like I’m chasing after her!”
Okay, that’s not entirely true, but Korbin doesn’t know that. Since yesterday’s incident, I’ve decided to work on our friendship again. Alexia was right when she said I was being ridiculous by ignoring her like that. However, this distance has allowed me to be less angry at her. It was a necessary evil.
“As if I’d believe you! You managed to break through her impassable wall. What’s your secret? Are you sleeping with her?”
“Excuse me?” I ask, stunned. “Are you out of your mind? What’s wrong with you?”
“You’re a lesbian; there’s definitely a connection.”
“Go to hell!”
“Everyone’s noticed how close you are,” she continues to push. “What’s your secret? Are you hitting on her? Is she in your bed?” she insists.
How can she even think that? It’s not like we’re holding hands in the hallways. Lucy has always behaved professionally here. She even tends to reprimand me when I get too friendly.
“You’re delusional. Don’t you have anything better to do than make up such ridiculous assumptions?”
“Oh! The little daddy’s princess can stand up for herself after all.”
“You... You know nothing about my life,” I spit.
“Oh... Did I hit a nerve?” she asks in a sickly sweet voice. “Does your precious daddy know you’re a slut? Oops... Anyway, he can’t be too proud of you if you’re here.”
Rage overtakes me to the point where my knuckles turn white as I clench my fists. I’ve always been reactive when someone mentions my father. Lucy made me promise to stay calm in front of Korbin, but I won’t be able to keep that promise if she keeps going like this. I close my eyes, searching for an idea that could make her react as strongly as I am. I open my eyes when the truth dawns on me.
“You’re jealous of my relationship with Bronze...” I murmur.
Her eyebrows furrow. I’m almost certain this is the reason for her behavior toward me. Her reaction intrigues me. According to my sources, she was Lucy’s student before I was. I continue with much more confidence.
“It must really bother you that the new girl who came in the middle of the year got all of Bronze’s attention at your expense. Still, it’s understandable that you’re jealous if you have a thing for her. It looks like she’s had time to figure out who she prefers to focus on.”
I smile, seeing the effect my words have on her. It seems I’ve hit a nerve too. I was expecting any verbal retort, but definitely not the punch she lands on my face. The blow is so strong that I fall off my chair. I don’t even have time to get up before she jumps on me. The shock is so intense that I can’t block her next blows, which she delivers between my face and stomach. My rage was nothing compared to hers, which she’s now unleashing on me. She doesn’t give me a moment to retaliate or push her away. I wouldn’t have been able to do it anyway. Many memories flash through my mind as if I’m reliving them. In a way, I am. Everything happens so quickly, yet it feels like time has stopped. I’m in another world. I can barely hear my friends shouting or see the circle of students forming around us. When my survival instinct finally kicks in, and my body starts moving, I realize I have no chance of escaping. The only thing I feel is her weight on me and her limbs pinning mine. But her weight suddenly disappears, and the scene unfolding in front of me petrifies me. Korbin reacts like a madwoman, fresh out of a psychiatric ward, in Bright’s strong arms. It’s like she really wanted to kill me. Someone places a hand on my shoulder the next second, but my first instinct is to shake them off violently. No one should touch me. Not now. I crawl backward to get as far away as possible from my attacker and the person I realize is White.
“Ona, get back here right now!” she scolds.
She tries to touch me again but my fear and anxiety take over, and I involuntarily stop her in a violent way. I’m lost. All I know is that I need to leave this place. I was about to get up, but a presence behind me discourages me. I was about to pull away again, but arms anticipating me wrap around me and hold me tightly against a chest.
“Shh, calm down,” she whispers to me. “It’s just me, Lucy. Calm down, I’m here now.”
My trembling, which had been constant until now, stops instantly. It’s Lucy. She’s here, holding me close. Her grip tightens even more, as if to confirm her reassuring words. My labored breathing worsens as a sob escapes me. She was finally here.
“I’m so sorry…” she murmurs. “I wasn’t here anymore, or I would’ve intervened sooner. She won’t touch you again. I promise.”
In my state of shock and with my throat tight, all I can do is nod. We stay like that for a while, with her rocking me to calm me, until Ingrid crouches in front of me. Her presence makes me retreat toward Lucy. I turn my head against Lucy’s chest, whimpering as Ingrid reaches out a hand. I still don’t want anyone to touch me.
“Let it be. I’ll take care of her,” Lucy says to her. “You deal with the other one. Get her out of here as quickly as possible.”
“Alright,” Ingrid sighs. “I hope everything will be okay with you.”
I can hear her footsteps as she leaves. Right after, Lucy gently forces me to lift my head to assess my face for the first time.
“It doesn’t look good,” she grimaces. “Can you stand up?”
I nod softly. She stands up first and then helps me by lifting me under my arms. I whimper in pain. The cafeteria has become a real mess. Teachers and instructors are trying to get overly curious students to sit down again, while others are dealing with Korbin, who is still struggling. Lucy guides me toward the exit, keeping her arm around my waist to support me. I keep my head down as we walk outside, only raising it when she takes out her keyring. I realize then that we’re in front of the classroom building. The hall lights turn on automatically as we pass through. Without a word, we continue, the only sound being our footsteps echoing in the corridor. We stop in front of a door labeled “Infirmary” on a sign. She also opens this door with a key before letting me enter first. It’s the first time I’ve been here. I wasn’t even aware that there was an infirmary in this building. I walk blindly in the dark room until Lucy switches on the light. I feel ridiculous when she sees me with my hands outstretched, searching for my way. She smiles but says nothing.
“Sit down on the bed.”
Instead of listening, I remain in place as she moves toward the cabinet with the medical tools.
“Ona?” she calls out when she sees that I’m not moving.
“N-no.”
“I need to examine you.”
I back up until I hit the wall as she approaches me. I shake my head and close my eyes. It’s beyond my strength to let her examine me.
“D-don’t touch me… Please.”
Her eyes express sadness at my rejection. I want to tell her it’s not against her, but nothing else comes out of my mouth. The survival instinct hasn’t left. My body and mind reject all contact, whether I want it or not. I hold my arms tightly against myself and avoid her gaze.
“Has anyone hurt you before, Ona…?”
I quickly lift my head to observe her in fear. Her voice was full of doubt, and seeing her now, she must be dreading my answer. I’m dreading it too. Am I ready to talk to her about it now? After everything we’ve been through these past weeks? No. Of course not. I would have preferred to disappear through a trapdoor rather than face this conversation. It’s just impossible for me to talk about this, even if it’s Lucy.
“You know, I never stopped trying to find out what was eating at you so much—”
“Please…” I interrupt her with a trembling voice. “Don’t insist.”
“Answer me…” she continues. “I need to know. Has anyone ever raised a hand against you?”
My fearful gestures betray me as she takes another step forward. How could she understand without me telling her? No one had ever discovered it before. My tears surface again. When I meet her eyes, I know she has won, and I won’t be able to hold back any longer.
“Don’t make me say it…” I admit in half-words.
I’ve never seen Lucy look at me with so much sadness as she does now. She, who had always managed to keep her pity for me in check, has just lost her last barriers. She takes one step closer, then another. She gives me time to push her away, but I no longer have the strength. Not after admitting my worst secret to her.
“I won’t let anyone hurt you anymore. Do you hear me?” she murmurs as she cautiously places her hands on my shoulders.
I shake my head, fighting mentally against myself. This experience has left me so fearful and lacking in confidence.
“I-I… It was so hard, Luce.”
I can’t even say what I’m talking about. So many things have been hard. My past, my return to life, my beginnings here, these new obstacles, but also our distance. I’ve reached my limit. All I need right now are her arms. That’s why I close the last small gap between us without thinking any longer. It didn’t take long for me to collapse into her arms without restraint and without feeling any shame.
“I-I’m sorry,” I say in a broken voice. “I’m so sorry for everything I’ve done.”
“Shh, it’s over,” she says, stroking my hair. “You have nothing to blame yourself for… Feli, Korbin, and no one else will reach you anymore. I promise you.”
She kisses my forehead while holding me tightly when she feels me clinging to her. No one had yet discovered what I was hiding. I was ashamed and fearful of what Feli had put me through during our year-long journey. The fact that she said it out loud shocked me. I didn’t expect her to figure it out on her own, even though the fight with Korbin gave her a clue. The images of Feli losing it because of her past and the drugs haunt my mind all the time, every night, without me being able to get rid of them. My brain keeps reminding me of them over and over. I was her girlfriend, but more importantly, I was the person she took her anger out on. I couldn’t do anything to change her, even though I tried relentlessly. I was just there to endure her moods. When Lucy notices that I’ve calmed down a bit, she guides me to the medical bed in the middle of the room. I manage to sit down with her help. I can’t face her now that she knows all my secrets. My fingers nervously play together.
“Look at me, please.”
Her voice is just a whisper. I feel so small in front of her. When I meet her eyes, I realize how close we are. She managed to slip between my legs without me noticing. I take a moment to admire the beauty of her face that I’ve missed so much, lingering on her lips that I’ve never desired as much as I do now. I hadn’t felt this urge since Feli. My stomach is churning just imagining what I might feel. Actually, no. My stomach is churning because I just leaned in close enough to brush against her lips. I quickly pull back, realizing the situation. Lucy, however, hasn’t moved an inch. She was looking at me intensely.
“I-I shouldn’t have,” I stammer in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, really, I didn’t mea—”
“Shh, just be quiet,” she interrupts, letting her fingers run through my hair.
Her fingers stop at my neck, gripping it delicately, taking my breath away. What was she doing? The answer comes quickly as she continues to watch me while moving closer. I close my eyes when I feel her warm lips press against mine. This sensation is nothing like the one I just felt. It’s much more powerful. It took me a moment to react, to understand what was really happening. Once I gathered myself, I responded eagerly to this sweet kiss, tinged with a metallic taste. Out of breath, she slowly pulls back to cradle my face. Her eyes observe the corner of my mouth where her finger lightly caresses a spot where I discover there’s a cut.
“Did I hurt you?” she murmurs.
Her question catches me off guard, given the situation. She seemed very serious, though. I chuckle, gently pulling on her jacket to bring her closer to me.
“I’m serious,” she frowns. “Are you okay?”
“Of course, idiot…”
I feel much better. Well… if you can call it that. She smiles when I dare to put my arms around her neck. I needed to feel her against me. I missed her. As if she understood the message, she presses herself against me, but she loses her smile.
“Ona…” she begins, far too seriously. “I’m sorry. I should never have pushed you away…”
“Don’t leave me again,” I simply murmur.
No matter the reasons she had for pushing me away, all I want now is for her to stay. She pulls back just enough for me to lose contact with her body, making me groan in frustration.
- "No," I say, holding onto her. "Come back."
She hesitates for a moment before returning. Actions speak so much louder than words. I smile shyly before kissing her again. She stays, responding perfectly to this new kiss, even softer and more tender than the last. My wounds may hurt, but I wouldn’t pull away for anything in the world. Instead, I cling desperately to her sweater, fearing that this might just be a dream or that she might pull away again. Lucy takes the initiative, gently cupping my cheek with her hand. We barely take a breath before diving back into another kiss, this one even more intense and charged with emotion. It was rough, intense, as if it was the most anticipated thing we’d both been waiting for. Our bubble bursts when a whimper of pain escapes me and Lucy pulls away. I quickly understand her intention to check on me, but I don’t give her the chance. I’d rather hold her tightly, burying my head in her neck. My message seems understood because she doesn’t push me away. She just lets out a small sigh and rests her chin on my head.
- "Don’t leave me again," I repeat like a desperate plea.
- "I promise, Princess. I won’t leave again."
She wraps her arms around me to accompany her words. She gives me back the breath of air I’d lost. I missed everything about her—her arms, her hair, her scent... Alexia, Mapi, and everyone who knew were right. I should never have stayed away. I should have convinced her to change her mind much sooner. I feel lost without her. She slowly pulls away, making me react immediately.
- "Hey, I just said I wouldn’t leave again," she giggles. "I just want to examine you and take care of your injuries before they get worse. You’re starting to get quite a shiner," she says, stroking my cheek.
- "I must look awful," I mumble.
- "You’ll always be cute in my eyes."
I blush at her compliment. She kisses my forehead before turning to the shelves. I miss her presence immediately, even though she’s right in front of me, rummaging through the cupboards. It gives me a perfect view of her back and her perfectly sculpted figure. I’m still struggling to process what just happened. My fingers unconsciously trace my lips, where I still feel her presence.
- "Don’t touch."
I jump in surprise when I see her giving me a stern look.
- "Sorry."
- "Hmm. I prefer that."
She returns to what she was doing, satisfied that I’m following her order.
- "What’s going to happen to Korbin because of all this...?" I ask.
- "I’ll make sure she’s expelled."
- "Expelled?!" I repeat, shocked.
- "It’s what she deserves. If I can’t manage that, I’ll make sure she never comes near you again."
- "And what about me...?" I ask, fearfully.
- "You didn’t do anything. You didn’t even touch her, so you’re not at risk of expulsion. Wiegman knows all the efforts you’ve made from the beginning and what you’ve been through these past two weeks. I told her about it this morning."
So she went to see her. She told me she would take action, and given the situation, I’m relieved she did.
- "Who told you? Alexia?"
- "Alexia?" she giggles. "No. But I realized she knew something when I saw her yesterday. She was nervous and wanted me to find you as soon as possible."
- "Then who told you...?"
- "Your management professor. He came to talk to me because he was worried about you and what was happening in class."
- "Oh... Really?" I ask, surprised.
- "Hmm. It must have been an excuse to come and talk to me... I used him to find out what I wanted to know about you, since you weren’t talking to me."
I bite my lip. I guess I was right to be suspicious of my professor. I had noticed how he looked at her... I wasn’t so crazy after all.
- "Men still don’t interest me, Ona."
I find her leaning against the furniture, raising an eyebrow. My teeth immediately release my lip, and I blush at being caught red-handed. I know she’s not interested, but I can’t help it. I’m bi, and that man is far from unattractive. Lucy comes back to start examining my face. I whimper and clutch the bed sheets as she begins to treat me. It’s very painful, even though her touch is gentle.
- "Korbin... She... Well, she was jealous of our relationship," I admit.
- "Really?" she asks, without taking her eyes off what she’s doing.
- "She thought we were together or sleeping together... I don’t really know. Do you think... She’d be capable of telling Wiegman to defend herself?"
She gently caresses my cheek, smiling at me.
- "You don’t need to worry. Korbin is far from having a perfect record. And Wiegman trusts me. She wouldn’t have allowed me to have you in my room twice if that weren’t the case."
- "You rejected me... I have a right to be worried."
- "I was just an idiot."
- "For once, you admit it..."
- "Hey, that’s enough," she smiles.
As if to silence me, she places an ice pack on my left cheek, making me groan from the unexpected pain.
- "Hold this, please. I’m not done."
I hold it in place as she turns her back to me again. I haven’t had the chance to see myself, but I must not look great. Sometimes I wonder how I lived without Lucy. She’s everything to me. I watch her for a moment before sighing.
- "Where do we stand now...?" I ask softly, biting my lip again.
- "Well..." she starts, then frowns when she sees me. "Stop biting your lip," she scolds me. "This is the third time you’ve done it, and it’s already split. You don’t need to make it worse!"
I immediately release the grip of my teeth. She sighs, quickly applying a compress to my lip. It stings from the antiseptic, confirming that it’s indeed already split open. She keeps pressing it for a moment, occasionally checking it before looking back into my eyes. Hers are so intense...
- "I know I made a mistake, Ona... It was probably the most cowardly and ridiculous choice I’ve ever made, but... But know that I’m ready to consider you as my girlfriend if you can give me a second chance after what I did to you..."
Her response catches me off guard. I expected some cliché lines like "we should take our time" or "I’m not ready for an official relationship." I must forget that this is Lucy Bronze in front of me. She’s not a coward, even after this incident, and she’s ready to prove it by agreeing to move forward.
- "But before that..." she interrupts my thoughts. "You need to know why I pushed you away the first time."
- "Luce... You don’t have to..."
- "Yes, I do. I want us to start on a healthy foundation, and for that, we need to talk."
- "Alright..." I resign.
In reality, I don’t know if I’m ready to hear what she has to say. Who knows what her reasons for rejection might be, but she’s right. If we want this to work, we need to be honest with each other from the beginning.
- "I was afraid I wouldn’t be enough," she says, dropping it like a bomb and catching me off guard.
- "Wh-"
- "Let me finish," she interrupts me, and I stop immediately. "Before meeting Kiera and coming here to Manchester, I was far from being the confident girl I am now. I was actually quite the opposite. You see, I was like that nerdy girl with glasses who hides behind her hair..."
- "I don’t believe you," I interrupt.
"But it’s true," she giggles, shaking her head. "Kiera transformed me. She made me realize the potential I had and brought out a confidence in me that I didn’t know existed. I loved her. No matter how stupid she could be for doing drugs, I really loved her for the way she made me feel wonderful in her eyes. Losing her shook me deeply. »
“No wonder…” I murmur, gently caressing her.
Even though I don’t understand why she’s bringing up Kiera now, I know these revelations are very personal for her. I owe it to her to listen carefully. She takes a deep breath before continuing.
“Working here right after she died, handling difficult cases like hers, really strengthened me mentally. It was enriching and very… healing. Helping others who were struggling became important to me.”
I nod. That makes sense. I can’t even imagine how she must have felt after losing her. She must have blamed herself a lot. If I were in her shoes, I would have too, thinking I could have done so much more to save her.
“Wiegman knew about Kiera. I specifically asked her never to let me personally handle a student with a history of drug abuse, for fear of becoming too emotionally involved.”
“How did it—”
“You were the first,” she interrupts. “You were the first one I had to take care of, and I was really surprised when I found out.”
“I remember you were… You were really upset when I came back in withdrawal, and now I understand why. But Wiegman knew.”
“I know. I got mad at her about it. She apologized and explained that she really wanted me to be the one to take care of you. She thought I’d never find out, since you weren’t supposed to relapse.”
“Why did you keep me under your care then?”
“Because I didn’t want to upset you by handing you over to Ingrid. She never would have known how to manage you like I did, and to be honest, I was already very attached to you. I didn’t want to abandon you.”
My stomach warms at this revelation. My first relapse was months ago.
“It was a risk, but I knew we were already connected, and I couldn’t bear to leave you. You were starting to trust me, and you kept progressing, clinging to our relationship. I took ten steps back at that moment because I kept comparing you to Kiera at first. I was afraid you’d be like her, that you’d relapse at the first opportunity. But I quickly realized that wasn’t the case.”
I was about to respond, but her last words stop me.
“You were struggling, but you wanted to fight. That wasn’t the case with Kiera. You never stopped holding on to me like a lifeline to pull you out of it. Your determination awakened something in me, and it’s what made our relationship so powerful.”
Lucy’s eyes shine slightly now. I never realized how complicated our relationship must have been for her. I have so many traits similar to the one person who ignited the flame inside her. How could I have competed with her if she were still around?
“You see me the way she did, Ona. You think I’m this strong and perfect person, but what you don’t understand is that it’s you who makes me that way…”
Her words throw me off balance. Maybe I could have competed with her after all. The way she phrases it, she puts me on equal footing with Kiera…
“Our relationship intensified so much in the past few weeks. We opened up to each other, and it brought us even closer, more intimately. I noticed you were seeking more affection, but I didn’t expect you to want something more after everything you’d been through. I-I just panicked. I was scared. Scared I wouldn’t be enough, scared I’d ruin everything once you discovered who I really am, scared I wouldn’t be able to satisfy you. I mean, I’ve come out of my shell more thanks to Kiera, but that wasn’t always the case. We’re so different and—”
“Hey, that’s enough,” I murmur, grabbing her face. “Calm down, okay? Breathe.”
She’s been talking so fast that she hasn’t even taken a breath. We lock eyes, and now that I can, I see the fear in them. It’s like she’s expecting me to back out now that she’s laid everything bare. I smile gently, brushing her cheeks with my thumbs before speaking again.
“If there’s one thing I love, it’s our differences, Lucy. From the beginning, you made it clear that you hate parties, and I never held that against you. I’ve even cut back on my own outings since you showed me your world.”
“I don’t want to change you,” she whispers.
“You’re not changing me, Luce. You’re making me better. You’re so caring with me that I want to be better for you, to prove that I deserve your attention. And if my way of being with you makes you feel strong, then our relationship is even more special than I imagined because we’re helping each other.”
“You’re mad at me for keeping quiet, aren’t you? I wanted to make things right, you know, but when you told me I’d abandoned you the other day, I just felt like I’d ruined everything. I hadn’t felt that miserable in a long time. I thought I’d lost your trust.”
I take a deep breath, realizing the misunderstanding that arose between us from a few simple words. I was harsh that day, but I had so much on my mind. I realize now how much easier things could have been.
“That’s not the case,” I murmur. “I wouldn’t be sitting here with you otherwise. I-I was disappointed and really angry, sure, but I definitely haven’t lost trust in you. I-I don’t think I ever could unless you did something truly unforgivable. I know you’re not perfect, and you’re allowed to doubt or make mistakes, just like everyone else.”
She sighs with relief. Still, her eyes reflect fear mixed with some fresh tears.
“You know, I talk a lot about Kiera because she was such a big part of my life, but she never made me feel as much as you do. I feel good by your side, and you make me so much more jealous and protective.”
“I’ve never been very jealous before you either,” I chuckle. “I got jealous when my management professor looked at you a little too much.”
“What?” she says, eyes wide with surprise. “You should have known that—”
“I know, it’s just that, I also thought I wasn’t good enough for you. I felt like you could be interested in anyone but me.”
“Oh, Ona…” she murmurs. “You really underestimate yourself.”
“So do you… I’m not afraid you’ll make a mistake one day or that you won’t put enough effort in, you know… You already do so much for me.”
Her eyes soften. She’s such a strong woman. If I were in her shoes, I’d have broken down in tears by now. She must have gone through terrible things to be able to hold back in a moment like this. Or maybe I’m just that weak.
“It seems we’re just two broken people who were afraid to rebuild together…”
“You have no idea how true that is… I was so terrified when I realized I had feelings for you… I-I was so scared you’d reject me. And also, I was always so intimidated by you.”
“Ona,” she chuckles.
“What? It’s true! You don’t even realize the presence you have. But at the same time, you always had this little something that helped me feel better… You managed to open me up like no one else ever could, Luce… If my friends hadn’t been there to open my eyes, I would have never realized that I had feelings for you. I was in denial, but now I know that this is just the beginning and that they’ll only grow because y-you’re essential to me, Lucy… And the thought that I might have ruined our relationship was unbearable and—”
“Shh, stop,” she interrupts before I break down. “You didn’t ruin anything, you hear me? It was me, but it’s over now. Isn’t it?”
I nod, trying to return the smile she gives me. It doesn’t last long, though, as I feel the pain contorting my face. Lucy laughs, understanding my discomfort. She kisses my forehead again, a spontaneous gesture that sends little butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
“Sorry to interrupt this confession moment, but I think I need to keep treating my girlfriend before she starts screaming in pain.”
“Oh my God. I think I could get used to that new title…”
“Don’t get too used to it just yet. You’ll still be my student here,” she says, playfully tapping my nose. “Now, put the ice pack back. Your cheek is swelling up again.”
I follow her instructions without protest. The atmosphere has changed. It’s much warmer and more relaxed now that we’ve finally been able to get everything off our chests.
“I’m just going to take care of your brow, and then we should be good,” she tells me. “Did she hit you anywhere else?”
She asks as she turns back to search for more bandages. I press gently on my stomach to see if it’s as painful as my face and grimace as I realize it is. She had already attacked me here yesterday, so I should have known it would hurt.
- "In my stomach," I admitted when she came back to me. "But I can take care of it myself."
- "No, I want to do it if you'll let me."
- "Okay," I murmured.
- "You'll take another painkiller and lie down so I can apply some cream."
She finished with my brow before discarding all the bloodied compresses she had used. It made me realize just how bruised I must look. At that moment, someone knocked on the door and entered without waiting for permission. I expected to see Ingrid or another instructor, but instead, I saw Wiegman. I was relieved that Lucy wasn’t standing next to me at that moment. She had a strange expression on her face when she saw me. I'm sure Lucy is trying to downplay how bad it looks.
- "I heard what happened," she began. "How are you feeling, Ona?"
- "Like someone who just got beaten up," I joked. "But I'm okay, I'm being well taken care of."
- "I can see that," she smiled.
Just then, Lucy returned with a glass of water and the pill she had promised. I swallowed it under their watchful eyes.
- "Thank you for taking care of her," Wiegman said to Lucy.
- "It's my job," she replied.
- "I came to see how you were doing, but also to ask you to come to my office tomorrow morning at 8:30," she informed me.
- "Am I in trouble...?"
- "It's just the protocol we have to follow," he clarified. "Will you accompany her?" she asked Lucy. "I'd also like you to be present."
- "No problem, I'll go with her."
- "Good, I'll leave you now since you're in good hands."
- "There are better hands, but I'll manage," I joked.
Wiegman laughed, but Lucy didn't find it as amusing.She wished us a good night before leaving. Lucy stared at the door as if to make sure she was really gone before she playfully swatted my arm.
- "Ouch! Hitting an injured person, really?"
- "There are better hands, really?" she scolded me, pretending to be upset.
- "What? I had to joke about it," I laughed. "My only defense mechanism is humor!"
- "I should just let you fend for yourself then," she pouted.
- "Oh Luce," I giggled.
I always thought I was the more sensitive one between us, but here I was discovering a new side of Lucy. I took advantage of the fact that she had her back turned to step off the bed and hug her from behind. I rested my head on her shoulder to see what she was doing.
- "I don't want to do this alone," I whispered. "I couldn't have asked for a better personal nurse..."
- "Hmm... I just wanted to hear you say it."
I chuckled and kissed her cheek. She turned around when she finally found the cream she was looking for.
- "Lie down on the bed and lift your shirt so I can take care of your stomach."
- "Can I get a kiss to prove I'm forgiven first?" I bargained.
- "You'll get one if you behave," she raised an eyebrow.
- "Blackmail."
- "Deal."
- "Alright, if you say so..."
Knowing I wouldn't get anything until I did, I lay back down on the bed. She lifted my shirt herself up to my chest. I winced when I saw the bruises already forming on my stomach, adding to the ones from yesterday. Lucy sighed audibly.
- "She really didn't hold back."
- "I couldn’t defend myself," I admitted timidly.
- "Hey, it's understandable after what you've been through. It's not such a bad thing; it saved you from more trouble."
I nodded and stared at the ceiling as Lucy began to apply the cream to the bruises. Her expert fingers relaxed me to the point where I closed my eyes to enjoy the sensation.
- "Are these marks from Feli?"
I slowly opened my eyes when I felt her fingers touch certain spots on my stomach, where there were small, permanent scars. I knew she had noticed them the day she helped me shower during my withdrawal. She had made a strange face when she saw my body but never commented on it. I wish those scars had left no trace, but they are part of my story now.
- "Yeah..." I admitted.
- "Did she... Did she also abuse you?"
Her question was full of hesitation. My body tensed involuntarily at the thought. I could see the fear in her eyes. I immediately reassured her by shaking my head.
- "No," I said, making her sigh with relief. "Thank God, no. She would have completely destroyed me if she had done something like that... But I think she could have if I had stayed longer. I had stopped sleeping with her, and she was becoming more and more violent towards the end. She didn’t realize what she was doing anymore..."
- "I'm sorry you had to go through that."
- "It’s in the past now."
A silence settled between us before I asked a question of my own.
- "What really made you change your mind about us...?"
- "A lot of things," she murmured. "Your reaction, your obliviousness, my feelings, but also the threats from your best friend," she laughed.
- "You two texted?" I asked, surprised.
- "A little," she admitted, making me smile at the thought.
- "Remind me to thank her then... I haven't really had the chance to talk to her these past few days, and the last things I said to her weren’t exactly nice. She must be mad at me."
- "She knows it’s my fault you didn’t write to her. As for your bad behavior, I don't think she'll hold it against you. She cares about you a lot, and I can see why you care so much about her too."
Lucy is wrong about one thing. Mapi won’t hold it against me, but she’ll definitely get her revenge. I'll have to make it up to her to avoid that. I sat up and adjusted my sweater when Lucy told me she was done. I handed back the ice pack I’d been holding. Seeing the state I was in, Lucy decided to apply a bit of cream to my cheek as well. The contrast between her warm fingers and the painful cold of my cheek was sharp. She gently spread the cream over the affected areas, then closed the tube. She washed her hands and put away the last things she had taken out to treat me.
- "Do you think I'll get my weekend pass?"
- "We'll see tomorrow. Let's go back to our room; it's getting late."
She grabbed a box of bandages and kept the cream before turning off all the lights. The cold hit me full force when we stepped outside. I realized then that we didn’t have our jackets.
- "Damn... Our stuff."
- "Ingrid took care of it. She texted me to say she brought it to my room. Come on, hurry up. It's cold!"
I hurried as fast as I could, agreeing with her. It was cold, and I didn’t want to risk getting sick again. I'd had enough of that! We crossed the campus to reach her dorm on the opposite side. The first thing I did upon entering her room was check the time. It was nine o'clock. Lucy, on the other hand, preferred to kick off her shoes and sprawl out on her big bed.
- "I'm going to take a shower."
- "No," she groaned. "Do it tomorrow morning, or the cream I just put on will be useless."
"Fine... I'll just change, then. »
She groaned in response. I chuckled and locked myself in the bathroom with my nightclothes. I was about to take off my shirt when I caught sight of my face in the mirror. My mouth fell open as I realized the extent of the damage. A black eye was forming on my left eye, and my eyebrow was completely busted. Not to mention my lip, which had also taken a hit. I rushed out of the bathroom, pointing at my face. My sudden entrance made Lucy turn around, unconcerned that she was only wearing her bra. I would have certainly enjoyed the sight if I hadn't come out to complain.
- "There is no way I'm going out like this in the next few days!" I exclaimed.
- "You don't have a choice," she teased.
She turned her back to me and continued getting dressed without being bothered by my presence. She came back towards me once she had her pajama tank top on.
- "Seriously," I groaned. "Have you seen my face?"
- "Mm-hmm," she replied with amusement. "It's not like these are permanent. You'll be fine in a few days."
- "Ugh. I hate her," I grumbled before retreating back to the bathroom.
I slammed the door, and Lucy's laughter followed. I quickly changed, and then Lucy joined me so we could remove our makeup and brush our teeth.
- "Wait, I want to put a bandage on your eyebrow. I’m worried it might start bleeding again because of the cut."
- "Do what you have to do," I mumbled.
- "Don’t be like that," she giggled.
- "I didn't expect this much damage," I sighed.
- "That’s what happens when you play the rebel."
- "As if it was my fault!"
- "I never said that."
She applied the bandage and then kissed me right after. I blushed at this small, tender gesture.
- "Everything okay?" she murmured, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
I nodded before wrapping my arms around her waist. Lucy responded to my embrace by draping her arms over my shoulders. We stayed like that for a moment, with her gently rocking me. She kissed my forehead before speaking again.
- "We should get to bed. I can keep cuddling you as much as you want there."
- "It’s strange to think you won’t be holding back with me anymore," I giggled.
- "Oh, I still will, but only when it comes to school."
- "Yeah, right," I teased.
- "I'm not joking," she smiled. "I'll still be your superior here, but I’ll be your girlfriend in private."
I had no doubt she meant every word. It’s crazy to think we still have three months left until the end. We headed to her room, where she invited me into her bed. I didn’t hesitate at all tonight.
- "Will you hold me again?" I asked timidly.
- "Of course. Choose your position first, because I have a feeling tonight might be quite painful."
I sighed just thinking about it. I could already feel the stiffness when I moved. I settled on my side, facing her, and realized that the position was surprisingly comfortable. Understanding that I was ready, she turned off the light. I could feel her breath on my face, we were so close.
- "Come here."
I felt her arms wrap around me. I moved closer to her, making sure to keep my bruises from touching her by placing my arms between us. She pulled the blanket up to my neck and held me a little tighter. I smiled when our feet tangled together, and she kissed my forehead.
- "Goodnight, Luce," I murmured into her neck.
- "Goodnight, Princess."
A contented sigh escaped my lips. My place was definitely in her arms. I would have loved to savor our first moment as a couple a bit longer, but sleep overtook me, lulled by the gentle rhythm of her heartbeat.

Jungkook groaned when you shook him awake. He tugged his pillow over his head, hoping that would let you know he was still exhausted.
Midterms had ended yesterday, on Friday in the morning. You had the rest of the day to pack your bags and head to his place for a sleepover.
Turns out, Grandmother Jeon had hit it big on the slots and purchased all your friends' plane tickets and rooms at the same resort you’d be at with Jungkook, her, and Grandmother Park.
You were excited to hit the poolside and relax. You had a large hat and huge sunglasses packed, bottles and bottles of sunblock, and a hot boyfriend at your side. You were beyond ready to relax after such an intense week of exams and stress.
Jimin and Hoseok were already up. You could hear them making coffee and breakfast in Jungkook’s kitchen. Hoseok had slept on the couch after helping you pick your outfits for the trip. He slept over to help Jungkook with his outfits and to get a ride to the airport.
Grandmother Jeon had arranged a limousine to pick up the eight of you and you had about an hour and a half to get your sleeping boyfriend up, have breakfast, and get Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, and Taehyung up.
“Baby,” Jungkook groans as you straddle him. Your hands are warm on his bare shoulders as you rub them. He moans when you knead a knot near his neck. “No fair.”
“Come on, Kook,” you whine.
“Don’t you want to sleep some more, baby?” Jungkook knows you normally sleep in. You’re often the grumpy one in the mornings.
Except for today, apparently.
“We have a schedule!” you remind him, kissing the spot between his shoulder blades. Jungkook turns, flipping on his back and ignoring the pillow that falls off his face and onto his bedroom floor.
“Do we have time for a quickie?” Jungkook wiggles his brows as he grabs your hips. You bite your bottom lip as he moves you onto his hard cock.
“I know you two aren’t fucking in there when the six of us are out here waiting on you!” Seokjin’s voice comes from the other side of Jungkook’s bedroom door.
“Go away!” Jungkook shouts in response, groaning when you climb off him.
“We’re going!” You shout back as you grab your phone charger, earbuds, and a kitty Squishmallow.
Jungkook stares at the ceiling, cursing.
Of all days to get cockblocked.
Once breakfast is over and done with, you gather all your friends in the living room. You have a list in your hand that you made for yourself in your notebook with the little rabbit on the cover.
“Phone chargers?” you start, making all your friends and your adorable sleepy boyfriend, show you their phone chargers and pack them. “Earbuds? Underwear? Swimsuits? Sunblock? Sunglasses? Condoms?”
The men freeze and stare at you.
You roll your eyes. “Come on, condoms?”
Taehyung smirks as he opens one of his carry-on bags. You peek inside and gasp as Tae cackles and shuts the backpack.
“Uh, looks like Taehyung’s got everyone covered,” you whisper, ignoring the rush of heat to your face.
Taehyung grins proudly.
“First aid kit? Toiletries? Snacks? Earplugs?” you continue reading down your list, making sure you check everyone has their plane tickets, bags, and passports by the time the limousine pulls up.
Your luggage has to go in a separate car provided by Grandmother Jeon and you’re grateful you can sit back and relax on your way to the airport.
Once you arrive at your gate (to confirm it exists), your friends run wild as they split up, heading in different directions for snacks and souvenirs.
Your boyfriend starts to head toward the snack shop with Yoongi and Namjoon but stops when he realizes he’s left you standing looking at the screen for your flight.
“Love?” Jungkook asks as he approaches you.
“Go on, Kook,” you encourage him. “I’m gonna find a bathroom and do my makeup.”
“Okay,” Jungkook nods. “See you in a few?”
You nod, kissing his cheek before heading in opposite directions.
By the time you meet up, Jungkook and your friends have taken up two sections of seats while boarding begins. After a quick headcount, you relax when you have all your friends in one place.
Yoongi is on his phone, one earbud in his ear and the other Namjoon has as he sleeps on his shoulder. Seokjin and Taehyung share snacks, while Jimin sips his coffee and scrolls through his timeline. Hoseok eats a bag of gummy bears while waiting for the flight to start boarding, smiling when the first group is called.
You rise, dragging Jungkook with you as Yoongi wakes Namjoon.
Smiling, you greet the woman at the counter. You take out your plane tickets, standing beside her as Yoongi and Namjoon get their tickets scanned, then Jimin, Taehyung, Hoseok, and Seokjin, and finally you and Jungkook.
“Thank you so much,” you say as you follow Seokjin with Jungkook behind you. You wanted to make this trip as effortless as possible and you may have a little anxiety of making things difficult for workers when you didn’t have to. You didn’t want any of your friends to have their phones die and not have access to their tickets, nor did you want them to have their data fail or lose service or anything that could make this trip unfavorable.
The eight of you take up three rows of seats. There’s an empty aisle seat beside Jungkook as you take your window seat.
In front of you, Namjoon looks out the window, while Hoseok and Yoongi watch a video. Across the aisle from them, Jimin, Taehyung, and Seokjin are eating snacks, and deciding who gets what.
The fight will be a few hours long, but you’re hoping to nap for most of it. Namjoon is already half asleep as the plane continues to board.
Jungkook laces his fingers with yours. “Our first flight together.”
You smile, kissing his cheek as he takes his phone and earbuds from his hoodie pockets. He hands you an earbud, “I made us a playlist.”
“You’re so sweet,” you grin, taking the earbud from him.
Jungkook holds your hand, smiling when you scroll through the playlist to see all your favorites. Any time you’d hear a song on the radio, you’d smile at him and say “This is our song,” so he made it so.
The people finish boarding, and the flight attendants shut the door. You yawn as you rest your head on Jungkook, nearly asleep when the lights dim after the safety instructions.
Before you know it, Jungkook is shaking you awake gently. The plane is about to land, and your eyes adjust to the lights.
“Make sure you have all your stuff,” Jungkook reminds you gently as he puts his belongings away as the plane begins its descent.
Thankfully, the landing is smoother than you could ever imagine and after a few more minutes, you’re off the plane and inside the airport.
“Bathroom break and snacks?” You ask your friends as you head toward baggage claim. You know the closest bathroom will be less busy as the rest of the passengers wait to get off the aircraft so you rush toward it leaving your boyfriend and his friends behind.
Soon, you’re heading to the baggage claim area with everyone in tow. You almost feel like a tour guide, leading them to the correct carousel to wait for your luggage.
A man is holding a sign that reads, Jeons.
“Um, is that for you?” You ask Jungkook as you point to the man.
Jungkook shrugs but is distracted by a loud commotion at the carousel behind you.
“My baby!” A familiar voice fills the space as Minji rushes toward you.
Luna barks from her bag, not a fan of the sudden bustling.
“Minji!” You exclaim as you’re wrapped up in a tight hug by Jungkook’s grandmother.
“I’m so glad we arrived at the same time. You know I really do hate flying with Luna on board. It gives me the nerves and all that knowing she doesn’t like it. Oh, here’s one of the drivers. He’ll get the bags with his partner once you get them off the carousel.”
“Grandmother,” Jungkook says, brow raised. “Not gonna say hi?”
“Oh!” Minji releases you to hug her grandson as another squeal sounds behind you. Only this time it’s directed at Jimin before he’s wrapped up in a hug so tight, he struggles to breathe.
Yoongi chuckles with Hoseok as Namjoon and Seokjin grab the bags, pushing them to the side as Taehyung counts them to confirm they’ve all arrived.
“Can’t breathe,” Jimin finally whines as his grandmother eases up on her hold.
“I’m sorry, Minnie. I missed you so much,” Grandmother Park says.
“Come on, let’s get going. I’m hungry and Luna could use a nap,” Minji says as she directs you toward the waiting cars. Your luggage gets packed in one and the group splits up in two to get to the resort.
It takes a while to check in and pass out key cards.
Minji and Grandmother Park, Sujin, as she’d asked you to call her, were excited to check out their room.
“We are on the first floor,” Minji informs your boyfriend as she holds Luna’s carrier close to her chest. Though the two grandmothers had a place nearby, it was going through renovations and the two decided to stay in the same resort as the grandchildren.
“Wouldn’t you rather be on the same floor as us?” Jimin asks the grandmothers.
The two women exchange a look before they burst out laughing.
“No offense kids,” Sujin giggles. “But you’ll cramp our style.”
Taehyung chuckles as he helps with their luggage; Jimin guffaws.
“How?!” He pouts as he follows his grandmother into the room.
“I can’t be cruising for men when my cherubic grandson is hovering around, now can I?” Sujin sighs as she sits on the corner of her bed.
“Same,” Minji comments as she opens the drawer to put her clothes up.
“Gee, I didn’t know we were so uncool,” Jungkook whispers.
Seokjin laughs as he heads back into the hall. “We’ll keep our distance.”
“Call if you get into trouble,” Minji states with a firm look, eyeing every one of you.
“We will,” Jimin promises before he leads everyone out of the room.
The eight of you split into groups with your luggage as you hit the button for the seventh floor.
You and Jungkook are sharing a room. Across the hall, Jimin and Taehyung will share a room. Further down the hall near the elevator, Hoseok and Yoongi will share a room, and across from them will be Seokjin and Namjoon.
“Let’s rest and settle in before we grab lunch,” Hoseok suggests as he drags Yoongi toward their room.
Jungkook takes your hand as he drags his large suitcase in one hand and his bag hangs off his right shoulder.
You drag your suitcase behind you while your bag collides with your hip at every step. You’re still tired from the early morning and flight but you want to check out the resort and have a good meal.
Forty-five minutes later, you’re sitting poolside with a fruit bowl on your lap.
Jungkook lies behind you with his legs spread while you rest your back on his chest. He’s shirtless, enjoying the sun for a little longer before you make him put the umbrella up. As much as you loved the weather, it was too toasty.
Besides, you had wanted to eat before your hands got smeared with sunblock.
On the chair next to yours and Jungkook’s, Jimin and Hoseok have thrown their towels, snacks, lotions, sunglasses and who knows what else. They were already rambunctious with Namjoon, Hoseok, and Taehyung in the pool.
To your right, Yoongi read a book while tucked under an umbrella. You knew it wouldn’t be long until he dozed off and you had to save his place with his kitten bookmark and dab some sunblock on his nose.
“Open,” you instruct Jungkook as you press a strawberry to his lips. He obeys easily, biting down before moving his head back to chew. You giggle when you finish the strawberry and offer him a cube of watermelon next.
“If I knew the two of you would be this disgusting, I would have gone with everyone else,” Yoongi huffs but his gaze holds no malice just teasing.
“Aw, want me to feed you, little kitty?” You tease in your best high-pitched voice reserved for talking to babies and cute little things, including one Min Yoongi with his kitten bookmark.
“Yeah, I’m out of here,” Yoongi shuts his book and heads for the bar.
Jungkook chuckles before he kisses your shoulder, his arms wrap around your waist.
“Mm, glad you’re here,” He whispers into your skin. He trails a few kisses across your shoulders as his hands squeeze your hips. “Though I wish we could sneak upstairs for a bit.”
You giggle, “We just got out of the shower in time to meet everyone.”
“They won’t even notice if we’re gone for a few,” Jungkook jokes as he takes the grape from your fingers with a tiny roar.
Fuck, he’s adorable.
“Let’s just put the umbrella up and finish our fruit,” You say as you pat his thigh and he scrambles out of the chair to do as you’ve asked.
“Already got him working?” Minji asks as she walks toward you with Sujin in tow. Both wear large floppy sun hats, oversized leopard print sunglasses, and bright one-piece bathing suits (teal for Minji and yellow for Sujin) with matching coverups.
“You know it,” you grin as the umbrella goes up and Jungkook rushes to open the one for Minji and Sujin.
“What a good boy,” Sujin coos at Jungkook, who blushes and murmurs thanks before sitting beside you.
Sujin looks at the pool to see Jimin splashing Taehyung with a water gun and cackling as he swims away. “Unlike my grandson! Who hasn’t stopped by to say hello!”
Jimin’s eyes widen as his friends chuckle behind him. He gets out of the pool with a sheepish grin.
“Grandma,” Jimin pouts. Sujin smiles and hands him a bottle of sunblock. “Get my shoulders.”
Jimin nods as he opens the sunblock and moves behind Sujin. Seokjin smirks from the pool as he picks up Jimin’s water gun and chases Taehyung.
Namjoon does a lap on the opposite end, racing Hoseok before Taehyung interrupts with his screaming.
Jungkook takes the sunblock and puts some on Minji as you grab a drink of water from the table beside you.
“How’s it going?” You ask as you put your sunglasses on. It’s definitely getting hotter.
Jungkook hums as he races Jimin, wanting to be the first to finish so he can get back to you.
“Pretty good,” Sujin answers as she swats Jimin’s hand. “Easy, I’m fragile.”
“Sorry,” Jimin whispers.
“Oh, hot grandpa alert!” Minji chirps, swatting Jungkook’s hands off her. “Go find something to do, kids! You’re cramping our style!”
“We’re cramping your style?” Jimin guffaws as he drops the sunblock at the same time as Jungkook.
“Ooh, he’s got a friend,” Sujin smiles as she gets up from her seat, taking Minji with her.
“I guess we’re on our own for dinner,” Jungkook chuckles as he watches his grandmother introduce herself to the two men Sujin spotted.
“Looks like Minji is the life of the party wherever she goes,” you giggle as you take Jungkook’s hand to lead him to the pool. He goes easily, kissing you once you’re both in.
“Hey! None of that couple stuff on vacation!” Taehyung shouts from across the pool.
“Yeah,” Seokjin agrees as he sprays you two with the water gun. “You did that on our last vacation!”
Jungkook rolls his eyes. “The last vacation is why you’re on this vacation!”
Namjoon smiles. “Fair enough.”
Sleep clings to your eyes as you feel warmth on your chest. You’ve tried your best to wake up early but after dinner the eight of you went to bed early and slept, the day’s travel and afternoon being too much on your bodies.
Now, you could decipher it was your boyfriend making you warm as his arm draped around your middle and his fluffy hair splayed on your bare chest.
After a shower and a lazy nighttime routine; the two of you had gone to bed naked, too tired to dig through your suitcases for clothes.
The clock on the wall showed it was just after 12:30 pm and you stifled a yawn.
“No wake,” Jungkook grumbles in his sleepy voice and you smile. You run your fingers through his hair, singing to him softly.
“We can stay in bed all day,” you promise him but he rouses, pouting.
“But then our friends will come barging in,” he frowns because yes, that is what usually ends up happening.
“We can ignore them,” you grin as you continue to play with his hair. He hums as he closes his eyes once again.
The next time you wake up, it’s an hour later and Jungkook is kissing you awake.
He’s in a much brighter mood now that he's gotten enough sleep.
“Jungkook!” You laugh when he kisses your lips messily. “I haven’t brushed.”
“I don’t care,” he giggles as he kisses you again, this time deeper as his hand cups your cheek. “Just want you.”
The next few days are a whirlwind of lovemaking, hanging out with the guys at the pool, group dinner, and trying not to cramp the Grandmother’s style.
You’ve spent most of the afternoon in the pool with your friends and Minji.
A romantic dinner with your boyfriend has just ended with dessert and flutes of champagne.
Minji, Sujin, and their dates for the night are at a table as far away from you as possible.
When you had first set foot at the restaurant, Minji had made a point to hide behind her menu. It’s not like you and Jimin had helped them get ready or anything but Minji admitted she was a little shy when it came to dating with Jungkook close by.
Minji wasn’t looking for commitment. She wanted fun and adventure, and nobody could ever replace Jungkook’s grandfather, so she didn’t even want to try. She was happy with her life, with Luna, her grandkids, and her best friend. She had it all (according to her), so you'd stay out of her business.
Slow music plays from the stage. The singer is crooning as couples get up to dance.
You spot Minji and her dinner date dancing across the dance floor, smiling at each other.
“Want to dance?” Jungkook asks after watching you for a moment. He knew you were admiring the couples on the floor.
“Oh, I don’t know how,” you say sheepishly.
“It’s okay,” Jungkook assures you as he rises from his seat. He pulls your chair out and takes your hand to help you up.
“I’m not so sure about this,” you whisper as he guides you to the dance floor. He takes your hand in his and the other rests on your waist.
You place your hand on his shoulder and the two of you gently sway to the music.
“You’re doing great,” he encourages you as he pulls you closer.
“I love you,” you tell him as you look into his eyes. A small smile appears on his lips as he kisses you. His lip rings are cold when they press against your lips, a soft moan escaping him.
“I love you,” Jungkook said once you parted. The two of you continue to sway as the song ends.
“Walk with me?” Jungkook suggests and you agree easily.
The two of you head out the door, smiling at each other as you make your way through the resort until you reach the beach.
Jungkook holds your hand in his as you walk along the shore. The sky is filled with sparkling stars but they have nothing against the ones in Jungkook’s eyes.
The waves crash loudly as you approach the shore. Your bare feet sink into the wet sand and you’re glad Hoseok picked out a shorter dress for this.
“I don’t want to go back home,” you pout as you come to a stop. The waves lick at your feet as Jungkook wraps his arms around you. He places his head on your shoulder as he looks at the water.
“Me either,” he admits. He takes a second to kiss your shoulder and then your cheek. “It’s been nice having you to myself.”
You giggle, turning your head to kiss him on the cheek. “You’re greedy, Jeon!”
“Maybe a little,” he shrugs before he faces you. “But it’s only because I love you so much.”
Your heart melts into a puddle of ooey gooey love for the man with the cute bunny nose.
“I love you too, Jungkook. More than you can ever imagine,” you whisper as he cups your face gently in his hands. You grip his shirt tight as he kisses you, slowly deepening the kiss until you moan.
With a soft smile, Jungkook presses his forehead to yours. Neither of you speaks as you gaze into each other’s eyes.
“You’re the only one for me,” Jungkook swears as he leans in to kiss you again.
The waves continue crashing as you fall deeper in love with him, wishing this moment never had to end.

MINORS DNI
---
You'd had enough of today; everything seemed to be against you, and your life had never felt as miserable as it did today. Upon returning home, all you wanted was to wallow in your room, skip dinner, and call it a rough day. However, your boyfriend had other plans.
"Love?" Worry was etched on your boyfriend's face as he saw your downtrodden expression peeking through your bedroom door. You dragged your backpack behind you and let out a deep sigh as you immediately collapsed onto the bed, groaning as your sore muscles finally began to relax after about 8 hours of tension. You looked up at Jungwon, who was still staring at you intently.
"Sorry, love. I'm so tired," you said with a guilty smile. You could see his worry dissipate into thin air, replaced by sympathy. "Have you eaten yet? How did you get into my room? Does Mom know you're here?" you asked.
"No. Yes, and yes," Jungwon muttered slowly as he made his way towards you on the bed. He wrapped his arms around your waist and then flipped you over, positioning himself on top of your back. For a brief moment, a flicker of alarm crossed your eyes, but it quickly subsided when you felt his warm and delicate palms start to massage your back. He kneaded lightly, almost feather-light, but somehow, you could feel it resonating throughout your entire body. You let out a satisfied groan. "Did you think I was about to do something else?" he teased, continuing to massage you.
"For a second, yes." You answered in all honesty.
Jungwon coughed, obviously taken aback by your answer. "Really?" he asked and you nodded. "Okay. So... Tell me about your day," he changed the topic quickly, humming softly.
You sighed, recalling everything that had happened today.
"Well, for starters, our Physics class was so challenging. I barely managed to grasp today's lesson." You paused briefly, groaning in pleasure. You squirmed slightly under Jungwon's touch and motioned for him to stop because you knew he was tired too, but he nodded reassuringly, letting you know he was more than happy to help you relax even a little. You smiled gratefully. "Next, we had three exams earlier, and I barely slept last night. Plus, tomorrow, we have an oral recitation in Chemistry and a practical exam in Biology. For our Social Science activity, I'm the group leader and for Calculus as well. I'm so tired, love." You were doing your best to hold back a whimper, especially as you felt Jungwon's grip tighten further in worry. You knew it wasn't the end of the world, but it certainly felt that way. Being a straight-A student who wasn't naturally gifted and needed time and doubled effort to actually understand concepts and lessons was both pressuring and hard.
"Do you want some ice cream, Love?" Jungwon cooed, slowly turning you over and leaving a trail of kisses from your forehead down to your jaw. He gazed down at you with his feline-like eyes. He rubbed comforting circles on the back of your hands, pulling your hands closer to his face and affectionately placing them next to his cheeks. "I'm sorry. You're still so young, but you hardly get to enjoy your teenage years."
You suddenly felt a lump in your throat; his words struck you like a sharp knife. It was true. You don't even have any friends, and all you ever did was push yourself to meet expectations. You felt the need to achieve something all the time, or else you'd be deemed worthless.
"At least I have you. I have you, so it's bearable," you uttered weakly, cupping his cheeks with the hand that he had placed next to his face. "I seriously don't know what I would do if you weren't here with me, Won." Tears welled up, and you clutched the hem of your royal blue uniform skirt, feeling warm tears trail down your cheeks. Jungwon held your hands again.
At this point, you didn't even know how to continue. You were so tired, so worn out. Every day felt the same, and every day you felt your identity rapidly fading away.
"I love you." Jungwon carefully wiped away your tears and rested his forehead on yours, humming a comforting tune. You could feel his warm breath on your damp cheeks, the sensation making your stomach churn. "I'm always here for you, Love." he whispered, letting your hands go. But then, his voice cracked in a funny way when you accidentally rested your hands on top of his clothed member.
Your sobs were cut shortly, and your eyes immediately widened as you fumbled to get your sinful hands as far as possible.
You looked at an equally wide-eyed Jungwon, laughing like a maniac at his flustered expression. Jungwon's face turn red in embarrassment. You honestly don't know what to feel right now. You are sad, worried, exhausted, embarrassed, and happy all the same time. It's confusing.
"Why does your voice crack still sound so good, love?" You chuckled, pretending that what had just happened didn't just happen. But, Jungwon's face, down to his neck, was still the same shade as a tomato. He looked so... horrified.
"We were already creating a heart-warming environment." Jungwon groaned, burying his face into his palms. You don't know if he's actually talking to you, or scolding himself for breaking the vibe. He looked up at you for a brief moment and the when your eyes met, his cheeks became even redder. "I'm... I'm...." he trailed, lost for words.
"Sorry, love." You apologized, sniffing from the shortlived crying session you just had. Jungwon's left foot was vigorously shaking up and down uncomfortably, and you could see beads of sweet forming on his forehead. You were about to ask him what's wrong but your eyes vision was immediately caught by the tent like bulge on his denim pants. Oh. That's why. "Wonie... What are we going to do with that." You signalled with your eyes to his bulge that was very visible. Jungwon looked down on his pants and then looked at you guiltily.
"I swear to God, Love. This isn't what it looks like. I wasn't... I wasn't fantasizing about you... It's just that..." Jungwon groaned and rolled away to the furthest point in the bed from you. "God. I know that sounded so weird and it feels like I'm some type of creep. But, I swear, Love. I respect you so much and this..." He stopped midway, almost wailing from embarrassment.
You can't help but snort. He's so cute.
"Really, Jungwon?" You scooted closer to him and on cue, Jungwon scooted further, avoiding you like a plague. He raised his palms in the air indicating that you shouldn't go anywhere nearer, but of course, you didn't budge. "Love, we've been dating for 4 years already. I think it's about time th-"
"You're barely 18." Jungwon immediately cuts you off in horror, not even trying to hear what you were about to say. You were about to utter another word but Jungwon was quick to shush you off. "No." Jungwon stood firmly on his ground.
You shrugged.
"Mom and dad's out of town."
"I know. I asked your mom's permission to stay over for the night and I don't want to break their trust, love." He explained with his puppy eyes.
You can't help but smile at your boyfriend's cuteness.
"I will help you with that," you pointed towards his now pillow covered bulge and of course, his cheeks became red again.
"Love," Jungwon's nose was flaring upwards and the gravity of his glares were sending daggers on your side. "Please stop. I'm already trying my very best to hold myself back."
"Who told you to hold back."
Jungwon groaned. His jaws cleched and his eyes became dark, like a puma lurking to catch its prey.
"No."
"Why?" You asked.
Jungwon shook his head.
You looked at him with pleading eyes. He's always there for you and he comforts you all the time. It's about time that you make him feel loved too.
"Do you really want to do this, love?" He asked in all seriousness.
You nodded. Then, you just blinked and you swiftly felt your back hitting the soft mattress, your body bouncing a little. Jungwon encaged you with his body, kissing you passionately. It happened so fast that you gulped both in nervousness and excitement.
His kiss was filled with hunger. You had shared a couple of pecks and whatnot before. But this, this was different. You don't know precisely how, but you know that it's doing something. It's making you feel... things.
"You okay, love?" Jungwon let go of your lips, staring at you worriedly. You nodded mindlessly, trying to process the fact that your boyfriend is actually so attractive like this. Trying to process the fact that, this was actually happening. "If it's too much, pinch me, okay?" Jungwon instructed as he continued to kiss your jaws, leaving faint trails of his marks as he made his way down to your collarbones.
He skillfully took your school uniform off and you didn't even realize that you were only left with your underwear until he stopped kissing you.
"Won?" You had to shake him lightly when he was staring at your face, doing nothing for a few seconds. "Love?" You pinched him lightly.
Jungwon muttered a quick 'huh' and buried his face on his palms again upon having eye contact with you. You heard him breathing deeply, his shoulder falling and faltering.
"Sorry... It's just that... I'm so happy that you trust me this much, love. I can't believe this is actually happening." He explained, voicing out your own train of thoughts. You gave him a reassuring smile. "I don't know. Somehow, this feels like a monumental event in my life... in our lives. I can't believe this is actually happening now." He added.
You nodded, unbuttoning his shirt too. Now, you guys were left with your underwears only.
"I love you so much, Love." He whispered, taking your underwear off slowly.
...
"Wonie..." You can't help but tug on your boyfriend's hair as you felt him mercilessly eating you out like a starved lion. His breath on your thighs and the way he devoured your soaking core made you feel things you haven't felt before.
Jungwon hummed, the lewd sound coming from your own wetness and the lapping of his tounge filling the air. You rake his luscious hair, letting it glide and pass through the spaces between your fingers as you savoured the pleasure he was making you feel. "Ahh." You threw your head back as Jungwon suddenly pushed his tounge inside you without any warning. You were caught off guard. Ultimately, you were lured even further to the state of daze and you involuntarily closed your thighs with his head still in between you.
You heard him groaning.
"Won? Are you okay?" You rose from the bed frantically, and came to his aid with a hint of concern and guilt imbedded in your tone. You held his chin up for his boba-like eyes to meet yours as you tried to convey your apology. He immediately pecked a kiss on your lips, nodding to signal you that he's alright. "It's okay, love." He kissed you again, now deeper and more passionate. He drew teasing circles around your clit and you could feel a smile forming on his lips. He broke the kiss and laughed at your shuddering state.
"Does my fingers feel good, love? Does it feel better than my tongue?" He teased while still stimulating you down there. Now, it was his turn to prop your chin upwards, making you meet his eye as he mercilessly kneaded your clit. He was observing you like a hawk to its prey. You can't help but feel your blood gushing towards your cheeks. "Speechless?" He teased again. You looked at him in disbelief and amusement. Now, instead of giving in to his antics and letting him dominate over you, you grabbed his hand off your clitoris and you flicked his nose lightly.
You can't help but snicker at his dumfounded expression.
His eyes that were originally round and feline-like became even bigger. The trace of your own juice from earlier, sitting on the tip of his nose, made him look more of a cat that he already is. The sight of your boyfriend looking like this is to die for.
"What's so funny?" Jungwon raised his brows, cutting your thoughts off. His boba eyes glistened as he fluttered his long eyelashes slowly, his lips were formed in a thin line. You know he's trying to intimidate you but you just find his expression endearing. So, you bopped his nose again. "You look so cute." You replied, raising your right hand up to reach for his bare chest. Jungwon groaned upon your touch. You looked up his face searching for his eyes, and you saw it softening as he shook head, trying his very best to act displeased with your choice of word.
Jungwon's warm and feather-light fingers sent a feverish feeling all throughout your entire system as it swiftly made it's way grip your bare hips, pinning you in place. You saw his jaws clenching, eyes turning a shade darker. "Won? What ar—" You immediately yelped as you felt him bucking his hips to grind himself onto your core. "Fuck." You moaned rather loudly, considering Jungwon's satisfied reaction. Then, as if you were left hanging midair, he stopped.
"Love..." You mewled, bucking your hips upwards, craving for more friction. You looked at him in the eye searching for explanation but Jungwon held you down firmly as he smirked. "Now who's cute?" He teased, bucking his hips painfully slow. His bulge was stimulating the heck out of you like there's no tomorrow.
"I need you inside me." You begged, almost cringing at the sound of your own voice. "Now..." your breathing was hitched and the ache you felt earlier is now a lot stronger. You placed both of your hands on the back of Jungwon's neck and you pulled him in to a deep kiss. When he rose, Jungwon shook his head.
"Be patient, love. I don't want to hurt you." His eyes were sincere and his voice was mellow. You could feel his love through his gaze alone. "Since this is our first time, I don't wan—"
"I can take you!" You protested but he shook his head again. So, you, being a stubborn and horny partner, you decided to take matters into your own hands. You grabbed him by the wrist and flipped your positions over. Him being at the bottom and you on the top.
"No! That'll hurt, love." Jungwon immediately grabbed you by the hips when you were about to sink below him. He looked mad and concerned all at the same time. You sighed. You don't even know what's he on about. He's hard as a rock and straight as a baseball bat. He clearly needs this as much as you need it. "Behave, princess." In one milisecond, you found yourself laying in bed with your back again. You let out an audible squeak when you felt Jungwon towering on top of you.
"I get that you're excited," Jungwon started. He grabbed something from his bedside table and you squinted your eyes to figure out what it was. A bottle of lube. He unscrew the cap with his teeth and squeezed lube onto his hands. You breathe in deeply as a cool slimy sensation greeted your core. You felt Jungwon lathering you up with lube gently when suddenly, it's as if something's tearing you apart. He inserted his finger inside you. You felt pain like the once you feel when you get a papercut... but, triple that pain up and make it radiate and throb throughout your entire lower body. "It's a little painful, right?" Jungwon kissed your forehead. You nodded and bit your lower lip to stop yourself from wailing in pain. You asked for this.
"It's painful because you're all tensed up. Relax for me, love. Breathe." He hummed comfortingly as he buried his face on your neck. You did as you were told and you only thought of happy thoughts. "Good job. I'll insert another finger, alright?" And he did.
"Oh god." You moaned as you felt him scissoring you open, moving his middle and index finger inside you in an ungodly rhythm. You were fluttering your eyes, barely keeping them open as you felt something forming inside your stomach. It felt like something's about to break. Jungwon kept on pushing his fingers in an out of you until you felt like you were on the edge, only for him to stop. "Love... Why did you stop?" You whined breathlessly, your thighs shaking so badly.
"I thought you want me inside you?" Jungwon smiled, pulling your body to the edge of the bed as he stood there, preparing to pound your sanity out of you.
You looked up at him and saw his size clearly for the first time. You never really paid attention to its size earlier but now that you did, you felt a little concerned. He was longer than you expected him to be.
"That's gonna fit inside of me, right?"
"I hope so."
Just as you were about to protest and declare that you were ready to take him, you heard your phone ring from the bedside table.
Instinctively, the both of you threw your glance at it. "It's your mom. You should answer it." Jungwon who reached out for your phone said, as he gave it to you.
Now you felt your confidence slowly dissipating. You're already an adult and there's clearly nothing wrong with starting your sexual relationship at this age, especially with someone who's well loved by your family... but somehow, you suddenly felt like you were commiting a crime and your mom caught you.
"Hello, eomma?" You cleared your throat, trying to eliminate any signs of strain due to your moans, shrieks, and gasps earlier, afraid that your mom would know all the deeds that you've done right away.
"Where are you?" You moved your phone away from your face when your mom's voice echoed from the other line.
"At home." You gulped, trying your best to muster your words.
"Is Jungwon with you?" She asks.
"Yes." You bit your lower lip and buried your face closer to your phone, refusing to take a glance at Jungwon's side. You could feel hin snickering.
"Hello, eomonim." Jungwon greeted through the phone.
You heard a contented hum from the other line
"Be sure to lock the doors, okay? Your dad and I will be returning home tomorrow morning." Your mom reminded. "And, Jungwon, thank you for accompanying her." she added to which Jungwon replied with a polite 'no problem'.
As you pressed the hang up button, you felt Jungwon's lingering stares.
"Ready?" He smiled, and the rest was history.

☆ | author's note : hello ! Im so sorry for not posting for so long. :33 I have been feeling bad lately , but now that i spent most of my pocket money on energy drinks ... or vapes ( i have been drinking one per day for 20 days straight ) so it gave me an idea.
★ | warnings : gn!reader ; fluff mostly ; cursing ( from reader mostly ) ; modern!human!alastor ; might be un canon ; can be seen both as planotic and romantic ( no specifics ) ; reader is in university ; alastor and reader are both in their early 20s ; in this AU alastor is not a murderer.
Well it has been a while since you properly slept.
Your grades , for the most part weren't great so you spent hours to days studying without a stop until you were just dizzy from not eating for days on end. And not only that but your grades were still hot shit , which worried you since you didn't want to lose your scholarship. It wad already rare , so you were "blessed".
As you opened the apartment door the sounds of jazz met your ears , Alastor was already home. You didn't want to make your boyfriend upset , mostly about your habits , but you didn't know what to do to keep yourself a bit fresher than you wanted to be. You drifted into your thoughts as you took of your coat and hung it , then stepped into the apartment... well , stumbled. It would be much more fitting.
"Ah , dear , didn't notice you there ! How was your day?"
Alastor said with a smile as he helped you with your bag.
"Shitty , as usual. I think i'll fail geomtery this semester."
You exclaimed. Alastor chuckled as he led you to the kitchen.
"Well i think if you actually were healthy your grades would be much better so i-"
"Al. Babe , you don't have to take care of me , im not a child. It's only a month until the exams so i need to study non stop."
You gave him a gentle kiss on the head. He always cooked for you , every evening so by now your humble little apartment was nearly a food storage. You felt guilty and ungreatful , he worked hard and you just ended up brushing it off.
You went to the fridge and took out another energy drink... for gods sake it was the 3rd one today. Alastor took your wrist before you could open it.
"Darling i insist... and i'd prefer that you stopped drinking those ,it's bad for the heart ! And i don't want you getting more sick. Besides , it's saturday and i think you should give sunday out to take care of yourself."
You stared at him with your tired eyes. It was ... true. Everything he said was true. You barely payed attention to him even , which made you feel worse. You sighed before you brushed off his hand.
"Last one , Al. I swear i'll eat later."
You opened the can and took a gulp.
You realized it barely even helped you at this point , even though you had like a whole stash in your fridge. It was now a mere apitizer for your pathetic little life.
"Ugh , fine."
Alastor calmed down a bit and as you sat down at the table he placed a plate in front of you then sat across you , just watching you.
"You're not gonna eat ?"
"Oh , i already did."
"You know you don't look any better than me."
Alastors expression became annoyed. You looked like a skeleton and could barely lift up your bag, which wasn't that heavy because it was all just notes and papers.
"Fine , fine , im sorry."
You said before a shaky chuckle escaped your lips.
"You better be."
"Oh nooo , im so scared of mister thin tall and bad."
He forced out a laugh.
"Be greatful that mister thin tall and bad keeps you fed."
You couldn't complain about that. Your boyfriend was an absolute charmer. You decided to continue eating in silence.
"Maybe i'll have the honor to sleep with you tonight instead of you sleeping on your desk ?"
You just nodded. The idea was great ... but you'd lose 8 hours of studying.
"What do i get in return?"
"Oho , what do you get ? I think you got enough. Consider it... payment."
You laughed at your boyfriend.
Honestly you sometimes thought how'd you even get him into your arms. He was the one to initiate every move at first. Gifting you various gifts and even helping you with your home task, which you failed... plenty of times. He was such a charmer , and you were a clean paper. It seemed irrational
You snapped out of your thoughts... literally , ad Alastor snapped his fingers in front of your face.
"Eat up. We have to go to bed soon."
"I love you."
Alastor stared at you for a good moment before he slowly chuckled with a sweet voice.
"I love you too... but you still hsve to eat."
His hand lifted up to your face and wiped the corner of your mouth with a napkin.
What a sweet night.
♱ | ok but i would LOVE to live like that. I cry for 2 hours straight when i come back from university or work. ( average adulthood life )

Sunday, October 4, 2009 - 3 months later
You came out from the exam rooms and frowned. It took you a second to place the song just starting on the speakers in the waiting room.
“Marta!” You said. “Is that Back in the U.S.S.R.?”
“It is indeed,” she leaned across the front desk.
“I haven’t heard that song in years!” You resisted the urge to dance in a waiting room with half a dozen patients as witnesses. The CD case was sitting on the desk and you gaped at it. “Is that the whole White Album? Where did you find that!”
“I didn’t,” she smiled. You smiled too, shaking your head. “Andrew told me to keep my mouth shut about it until Sunday afternoon. Said you’d need it.”
“He’s a sneak,” you said.
“He also said you work too much, that you need to stop changing his schedule and that you need to stop conspiring with Jess,” her smile shifted to a smirk. “But I don’t think I was supposed to tell you that today.”
“Oh I’m sure he’ll tell me himself later this week,” you rolled your eyes, still smiling.
“You’ve got one in exam four,” she handed you a chart. “And Kristen is in with one in exam seven when you’re done there.”
“Well, as long as we have The Beatles,” you said, tapping the file on the countertop in time to the music before heading back to the exam rooms.
It was a small miracle that Jess had actually kept Andrew away from the clinic that day. He’d been almost unreasonably protective since Joel had left three months earlier and with your birthday the next day… You didn’t want to disrupt his life any more than you already had. He needed to do things like have a day off. His life was on track.
The day after Joel left, you didn’t move. Andrew came by to make sure you were still alive. His knuckles were banged up. You stared at the wall. You slept. You stared at the wall some more. Andrew came back Monday morning, letting himself in your apartment and all but dragging you out of bed.
“You can come to our place or you can go to work,” he said, standing at the edge of your bed, your face pressed against his stomach as he ran his hands over your tangled mass of hair. “Those are your choices. You need to get cleaned up, you need to get out of bed, you need to eat something. You’re not going to just rot here.”
“I’ll go to work,” you said softly.
“Then let’s get ready for work.”
He walked you to the school, stood outside until he saw you go in the doors to make sure you didn’t just turn around and go back home. You didn’t go get your cup of bad coffee or stop and say hi to other teachers. You just went to your classroom and stared at the wall. Unlike in the schools before the outbreak, they’d let you paint your room. Andrew had helped. There was a solar system in one corner and a forest in another and flowering vines that framed the cracks in the cinderblock.
Your room was the only one in the building like this. The FEDRA teachers were different than the teachers you were used to before. Everyone decorated their rooms before, doing everything they could to keep students engaged. From what you gathered for the regular schools in the QZ, that was still the case - or as much as it could be in the end of the world. But at what amounted to a military school for orphans of the war on humanity, the bare necessities were all there was. It was part of why you decided to teach at this school. Someone, you thought, needed to be invested in these kids. Why couldn’t it be you?
So you’d decorated your room. Made a bookshelf and stocked it with things you picked up on the black market that had been brought in by smugglers and let the kids borrow what they wanted - everything from old copies of Scientific American to the Harry Potter books (you were still disappointed you’d never find out how those were going to end.)
As you stared at the vines you’d painted four years ago, you decided that you couldn’t shut down on these kids. They had no one. You couldn’t just be one more person to leave them. You could be the one person they knew loved them.
You made yourself smile as your students came in. Just because you didn’t matter to anyone else doesn’t mean that they didn’t matter to you. They were worth it.
You threw yourself into your work. You picked up extra shifts at the clinic. Before, you had Sundays and Wednesdays off but now, you were there every day. Elias had talked to you twice already about burnout but you’d just shrugged him off. All you cared about was finding something that forced you to keep going, something that made you feel something besides hollow. The clinic and the school could be those things. You’d make them be those things.
You quickly knocked on the door of exam room four before letting yourself in.
“Hi there,” you smiled, without looking at the patient for a moment, just opening the chart. You froze.
“Hey Kid.”
The door closed and latched behind you. Dear Prudence was playing.
“Hey Tommy.”
You stood there looking at each other.
“I didn’t think you’d be in today,” he said eventually. “Thought you didn’t work on Sundays.”
“I do now,” you shrugged. “I like keeping busy. There are no other doctors here right now but I can do a quick eval and see if a nurse can handle what you need or…”
“No,” he waved you off. “I don’t have a problem with seeing you if you don’t have a problem seeing me. Wouldn’t blame you if you did but…”
“I don’t,” you said quickly. He smiled. It reminded you of Joel in a way that made your heart ache while making everything seem lighter. You went to the sink and washed your hands, looking over your shoulder at him as you did. “How’ve you been?”
“Tryin’ to stay out of trouble,” he said. “Don’t know how good a job I’ve been doing at that though.”
“Not one of your considerable talents, I will say,” you teased. “What brings you by today?”
“My inability to stay outta trouble,” he smirked.
You laughed
“Alright, let’s see it.”
He unbuttoned his shirt and shrugged out of one side of it. There was a makeshift bandage around his bicep and you frowned. The blood was dried and the bandage looked like it had been on for far longer than it should have been.
“Well that’s coming off,” you frowned. “And it’s probably going to hurt. The hell have you been doing, Miller?”
He just looked sheepishly at you while you unwound the dressing, trying to do so as gingerly as possible. He still winced as the dried blood and discharge pulled on the open wound.
“Are you fucking kidding me, Tommy?” You shook your head, looking over the injury. “The hell didn’t you come see me sooner?”
“It didn’t seem that bad at first,” he said. “But it hasn’t been getting better and…”
“Yeah, it’s infected you idiot,” you rolled your eyes, dropping the bandage in the trash. “When did you get this?”
“Last week?” He winced. You sighed.
“And why was someone shooting at you last week?” You asked. He went to respond and then glared at you.
“Never said I got shot,” he said.
“Yeah, I’ve had a partial shoulder shot, Tommy,” you glared at him. “I know what they look like. Who was shooting at you and why. Please tell me I’m not conspiring against FEDRA by treating you right now…”
“It wasn’t FEDRA,” he rolled his eyes. “Just… had a run in with some bad people is all.”
You looked at him for a moment.
“It wasn’t in the QZ was it?”
He paused.
“No.”
You groaned.
“What the fuck, Miller?”
“Can you spare the lecture, Kid?” He asked. “Can you fix my arm or not?”
“Nope, I’ll have to cut the whole thing off.”
He rolled his eyes. You sighed.
“Yes, I can fix your arm,” you said. “But it’s going to be a process because you didn’t come see me sooner. It needs debridement, I’m going to do some fairly intensive antibiotics because right now your shoulder is a goddamn Petri dish for a super bug and I want to nip that in the bud and then you’re getting stitches. And I swear to God Tommy if you don’t follow my directions for wound care…”
“You’re not as scary as you think you are, Kid,” he smirked. “But I’ll listen to ya.”
You glared at him but went and got what you needed from the supply room and scrubbed in before gloving up.
“You’re lucky I like you,” you said, sitting next to him on the exam table as you injected his arm with local anesthetic. He winced. “Otherwise I’d just do this without numbing you up just to teach you a lesson.”
You got out a scalpel and forceps, testing his arm after a minute before starting in on the infected tissue.
“That’s disgusting,” he sounded a little sick.
“Yeah, well, this is the price you pay for being a dumbass,” you said, focused on his arm.
“Your bedside manner is shit, Kid, anyone ever tell you that?”
“You’d be the first,” you replied, depositing some of the tissue on a sterile cloth and going back in. He laughed. “Hold still or I will take off your arm.”
He looked straight ahead for a moment while you worked, eyes narrowed, trying to make sure you were getting all the infected tissue while not taking any of the healthy with it. But after a few minutes he looked at you.
“So how’ve you been?” He asked.
“Busy,” you said noncommittally.
“C’mon,” he said. “You know what I’m askin’.”
You were quiet for a minute.
“He told you then,” you said eventually.
“Yeah.” He was still looking at you. You resisted the urge to cry. You couldn’t fuck up your sterile field.
“Well, I’m still here,” you shrugged as you deposited more tissue on the cloth, giving the wound a final look. You grabbed the saline and went back to it. “May not want to tell him that, it’d probably be a let down.”
“Look, Joel’s a fucking asshole but he’s not that much of a fucking asshole,” he said, sounding a bit defensive. “He wouldn’t want anything to happen to you.”
“He said he never wanted to see me again,” you irrigated the wound and looked it over again. “A lot easier to do if I dropped dead or left town.”
Tommy didn’t say anything. You put the saline away and got out the suture kit.
“I’m going to stitch you up now,” you said. “Let me know if you feel anything, I can add to the anesthesia…”
He just nodded and you started stitching.
“How is he?” You asked after a moment. Tommy paused a moment before answering.
“Survivin’,” he said eventually. You nodded slowly.
“He going outside the QZ too?”
“Not sure I should be telling a FEDRA doctor anything about that,” Tommy said wryly. You glared a him. “But yeah. He is.”
“Tommy,” you groaned. “Jesus Christ…”
“You think I can control a damn thing that man does?” He asked. You glared at him. “We both know he’s going to do whatever the fuck he wants, whatever he thinks is the best thing for everybody because no one else can take care of shit like Joel fuckin’ Miller can…”
“Been sitting on that feeling for a while there?” You half smiled.
“Something like that,” he muttered.
You finished stitching his arm and gave him a shot of antibiotics.
“That’s going to start clearing the infection,” you said. “But I’m sending you home with pills, too. You take every single fucking one of them or I swear I will come and shove them down your throat like I’m drugging a dog. Bacterial infection is a shit show here as it is, I will not let you make it worse because you create an antibiotic resistant strain of super bacteria by not completing your meds…”
“I’ll take the drugs, Kid.”
“Good.”
You wrapped his arm and sat back, looking at your handiwork.
“Come in like that again and I’m not giving you the anesthesia,” you said, cleaning up your supplies.
“Well there’s some incentive for you,” he laughed, shrugging back into his shirt. You threw away the trash and your gloves and leaned against the counter, arms crossed, watching as he buttoned his shirt.
“How often are you leaving the QZ?” You asked.
“Don’t exactly have a set schedule,” he said, cagey.
“Tommy.”
“Bout twice a month.”
You nodded slowly.
“And how often are you getting fucking shot at?”
He laughed a little and gave you a cocky smile.
“Bout twice a month.”
“Jesus Christ…” you muttered.
“They’re bad shots, Kid.”
“Not that bad.”
You sighed.
“I’m only saying this because I know you’re going to keep going out there regardless of what I say about it,” you said. “But next time one of you is hurt and you don’t feel… comfortable coming to the clinic, please get me. I’ll come to you, you can come to me, I don’t really care. Just please don’t get yourselves killed because you’re stubborn idiots.”
“That go for my idiot brother, too?” He asked, watching you.
“Course it does,” you said. “Just hit him over the head with a frying pan after taking a thorough medical history so he doesn’t have to see me when I treat him.”
Tommy snorted, shaking his head as he got down from the exam table. He looked you up and down, a sense of sadness on his face.
“He’s an idiot, Kid,” he said, meeting your eyes. “I love him but he’s the biggest fuckin’ idiot I know.”
“He’s not,” you half smiled at him. “But I appreciate the thought. Try to make sure he stays in one piece? Look out for him?”
“I will,” he said, leaning in and giving you a kiss on the cheek.
You pressed the bottle of antibiotics into his hand and watched him leave the exam area, staring at the door he left through for a moment before going to the next exam room.
Your birthday was a Monday. It was hard to not think about the year before, the day that Joel and Tommy made it to the QZ. You’d thought, for a while, that it was a sign that the day might not be cursed. It could hold the best and the worst of life, it didn’t matter. It felt less good now.
This year, a long workday helped. Your students were particularly well behaved for a Monday. You weren’t sure if they sensed that you were off or if it was just a coincidence but either way, you were grateful for it. The clinic was good, too. Enough patients to keep your mind occupied and body moving, not so many that you were overwhelmed.
“Not a bad day all things considered,” Andrew said as you finished with your last patient’s chart a few minutes before 10. The White Album was on again.
“It was not,” you said, perching on the edge of the desk. He leaned beside you. “Thank you for The Beatles, by the way.”
“Course,” he kissed your temple and you rested your head on his shoulder. “Knew you’d need it.”
“I come bearing cake!” Jess sang as she came into the clinic, plate in hand. “Andrew said it wasn’t really that kind of birthday but I figure hard days are an even better excuse for cake so…”
“Any days are a good excuse for cake,” you smiled.
“My sentiments exactly,” she smiled back.
The three of you walked to your place and you put on the AC/DC album that you kept at the apartment specifically for when Andrew was being a jerk about your music or needed some cheering up.
“Awww, real music,” he said as you cut the cake. “You DO care!”
“Don’t read into it,” you shook your head and smiled a little, passing out plates. You poured each of you a beer and you gathered around your small table.
“To an honestly not bad birthday for the shittiest of birthdays,” Andrew raised his glass. You shook your head.
“If society ever returns, you’re not giving a toast at my wedding,” you teased.
You’d only gotten halfway through your beer and your slice of cake - Jess, as it turned out, was a talented baker - when there was a sharp knock on your door. The three of you looked at each other, frowning. Andrew gestured for both of you to stay put and tiptoed to the door. He checked the peephole before opening it, holding the door against his side so whoever it was couldn’t see in.
“Are you the Kid?” A woman’s voice you didn’t recognize asked. “I was told to come here and get the Kid, it’s urgent…”
You got up and went to the door, ducking below Andrew’s arm. He groaned.
“You couldn’t just stay at the table…” he muttered.
A woman, about 10 years older than you, was standing there. Her lip was swollen, blood at her arm where her shirt was torn. She looked you up and down, assessing you.
“You’re the Kid,” she said instead of asked it this time. “Jesus, you are young.”
“I’m 31,” you said defensively.
“Huh,” her eyes lingered on your hair. You’d put a ribbon on the end of your braid. “You look younger.”
“Thanks,” you said wryly. Andrew pulled you back against him, his hand on your shoulder possessively. You crossed your arms. “I take it you know Tommy?”
“And Joel,” she said. Andrew’s hand clenched you harder. “They need help and Tommy said I should come to you…”
“No,” Andrew said before you got a chance to respond. “I don’t care what shit they got themselves into…”
“I don’t think I was asking you,” the woman said. “Look, I don’t have time…”
“How bad is it?” You cut them both off. She looked you over again. You sighed. “Before the outbreak would you call an ambulance or drive to urgent care?”
“Ambulance.”
You shoved past Andrew and went to grab the go bag you kept stashed under your bed for emergency situations where they called you into the field from home. The woman had followed you inside. Jess waved awkwardly from the table.
“Celebrating?” The woman asked.
“It’s her birthday,” Jess nodded in your direction. The woman winced a little.
“Sorry about that.”
“Hasn’t been a day worth celebrating in a while,” you shrugged. “Don’t know why that should change now.”
Andrew grabbed your arm and you frowned up at him.
“You don’t need to do this,” he said. The woman stiffened, sizing him up. You ignored her.
“Yes I do.”
He pulled you in for a tight hug and sighed.
“Don’t let it destroy you.”
You gave him a stiff nod and hurried out into the night with the woman.
“Where are they?” You asked, walking quickly to the stairs. “Their apartment?” The woman nodded once. You started down the stairs and you looked her up and down. “Can you run?”
“There’s a reason I was the one to come get you,” she said.
You took off for their place the second you were down the stairs, glancing back to see that the other woman wasn’t far behind.
It had been months since you’d ventured into this part of the QZ. You’d actively avoided it. You tried not to think about the fact that it had been more than three months since you’d last seen Joel but you knew it would hurt. His picture was still on your bedside table. You thought about him all the time - when you found a clever line in a book you’d share if he were reading beside you, when you remembered the way he’d touch you without thinking about it because touching you was the most natural thing in the world, when you tried to channel his blunt way of moving through life when something about the QZ was especially frustrating. You’d missed him desperately before he came to Boston. It was worse now. He was so close, close enough that you could be touching him in just minutes and he’d never been further away. You were worried you were going to be stuck like this - longing and alone - forever.
And you were still running to his side.
The woman let you into their apartment. Joel was flat on his back in the middle of the living room floor, Tommy beside him with a towel on Joel’s side.
“Hey Kid,” Tommy said sheepishly. He was bleeding, too, what looked like a shallow knife wound on his ribs. You glared at him, going to the other side of Joel and dropping your pack next to him.
“I just patched you up fucking yesterday, Miller,” you said. “And this is what you do?”
“Can you lecture me after you save this asshole?” He asked.
“Move the towel,” you ordered. “I need to see what I’m working with.”
He obeyed, pulling the cloth away and revealing a bullet hole in Joel’s stomach.
“Son of a bitch,” you breathed. “You just had to fucking go outside the QZ again, didn’t you?”
“I know, I know,” he said. “Please say you can fix this…”
“I sure fucking hope so,” you looked between him and the woman. “Which of you is better with blood? Both with seeing it and have lost less of it?”
“I think I’ve lost less,” the woman said. Her fingers were winding around themselves. She was nervous.
“Good,” you said. “Tommy, move.” You grabbed the bag and went to where he’d been and looked at the woman. “You… I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name?”
“Tess.”
“Tess,” you repeated once, nodding. “You’re with me. Go wash your hands like you just swam in a sewer and you’re about to eat a sandwich. Tommy, I need light, a fuck ton of light. And boil water, I’m going to need sterile water.”
They both rushed to obey while you assessed the situation. Joel was unconscious. You tried really hard to not think about the fact that it was Joel who was unconscious. The bullet wound was your primary concern. You checked his pulse. It was a lot weaker than you wanted.
“Tommy,” you called. “How many towels have you gone through?”
“Three, I think?” He called back, running in with flashlights and depositing them next to you.
“Shit,” you muttered. Tess came back from the bathroom and you pulled a pack of gloves from your bag. “Put those on, hold pressure on the wound. I need to go scrub because I need to get in there.”
You pulled off your button down shirt leaving just your tank top below and left Tess there, trusting her to follow your instructions. You were still fighting not to panic about the fact that it was Joel bleeding out on the living room floor. You focused on the water running over your fingers, the soap, anything but whose life you were about to try to save.
Tess was holding the towel against Joel’s stomach when you came back in and you pulled on gloves, getting on your knees beside his body.
“This is going to be messy for multiple reasons,” you said, looking between Tess and Tommy. “Either of you ever drawn blood before?” They glanced at each other but were silent. “Either of you happen to know his blood type?”
“You don’t?” Tommy asked.
“Why would I know Joel’s blood type?” You looked at him like he was crazy.
“Weren’t you studying for that doctor exam when you were…”
“Yeah, I didn’t go around memorizing everyone’s blood types!” You closed your eyes for a second. This was going to take a small miracle. “Doesn’t matter. I’m O-, either of you O-?”
They shook their heads.
“Why’s that matter?” Tommy asked.
“Because I’m basically a walking blood bag,” you said, cracking your neck. “And he’s going to need a transfusion…”
“How are you going to transfuse him while operating?” Tess gaped at you.
“Fucking carefully I guess!” You snapped. “This is going to be a first for me, too, but unless you guys want to move him to the clinic and get potentially executed by FEDRA for leaving the QZ…”
“Right,” Tess nodded. “Right, OK…”
“Any other emergent injuries that I should know about besides the gunshot wound?” You asked. They were silent. You took a deep breath and nodded. “Alright, let’s do this. Tommy, I need light.”
He held the light over Joel’s stomach and you palpated his stomach, finding the bullet.
“Tommy,” you glanced up at him. “I’m not sure how unconscious he is, but if he starts moving, you need to hold him down. I don’t have anesthesia and I can’t have him thrashing around when I’m wrist deep in his abdominal cavity. If the call is light or holding him still, drop the light and hold him down, got it?”
He swallowed hard and then nodded. You picked up the scalpel, took a deep breath, and cut. Tommy made a gagging sound and you ignored him. You located the bullet quickly, lodged in the large intestine. All things considered, he got lucky. It had missed the pancreas, the stomach and the small intestine.
“Tess,” you said as you got ready to extract the bullet. “I need you to try to monitor his pulse. If it gets any fainter, we’ll have to start a transfusion now. Once I start pulling the bullet out, the bleeding could get a lot worse.”
You pried the bullet free, trying to move it as cleanly as possible down the path it had entered his body through - easier said than done without the proper tools. And he did start bleeding more. You just hoped it wouldn’t be too bad.
“I need gauze, from the kit, in the sterile packs.”
Tess moved quickly ripping it open. You yanked it out and stuffed the wound, giving you time to repair the damage to the large intestine without flooding the abdominal cavity with blood. “He’s getting pale,” Tess warned.
“Pulse?”
“I think it’s OK…”
You nodded, swapping out gauze.
“Tommy,” you said. “I need that water…”
He grabbed the still warm kettle, handing it to you. You splashed some on your skin. It was hot but didn’t burn. You cleaned the area and watched to see if he was still losing blood, if there was a repair you’d missed. You were pretty sure you’d caught everything.
“Good news,” you pulled the gauze from his body. “Damage was pretty minimal and it was a simple repair. I’m going to close him up, then we can just tap into me and finish this up…”
You stitched him up quickly and yanked the gloves off before switching them for a clean pair.
“In the bag, there should be a needle pack, alcohol wipes, some tubing and a tourniquet,” you said. “I need all of it.”
Tess moved quickly again, handing you the supplies. You didn’t have a bag to transition the blood from you to Joel, so you were going to have to settle for a direct transfusion. It wasn’t something that was ever really done anymore, but you’d read enough about it, you were pretty sure you could figure it out. You got everything set up and sat down, your back against the couch, before putting the needle in your own arm. You removed the tourniquet and blood started flowing from you into him. You slumped over a bit, finally able to take a breath. You kept his wrist in your hand to monitor his pulse.
“He should be largely out of the woods,” you said. Both Tess and Tommy visibly relaxed. “He’s going to need to take it easy for a while. Tommy, those antibiotics I gave you yesterday? Give Joel the same dosage. Track how many you give him, come by the clinic sometime this week when I’m there and I’ll give you another bottle.”
“Thank you,” Tess was watching you. “For doing this. Your friend was right, you didn’t have to…”
“Yes I did,” you closed your eyes and leaned your head back against the couch. “But I would have anyway.”
Tommy brought you a glass of water and you chugged it, trying to pay attention to how long you’d been transferring blood and how strong Joel’s pulse was. His color was getting a bit better. Tess and Tommy were talking in hushed tones in the kitchen but you didn’t care.
You hadn’t realized how long it had been since you’d seen Joel without tension in his face. He was soft and beautiful like this. It reminded you of life with him in Texas, when the biggest problems you had were whether or not Sarah should do regular soccer or travel soccer. You had to resist the urge to touch him, kiss him. Fuck, you loved him. You’d always be stuck loving him.
You decided to enjoy it. You doubted you’d have a chance to see him like this ever again, so you quietly memorized his face, the flecks of gray coming into his beard, the creases around his eyes, the precise arch of his nose. You looked away for a moment to check the status of his incision - relieved to see that it wasn’t oozing blood - when the hand that was in your fingers started to move.
You tightened your grip on him - not wanting to disturb the transfusion - but watched his face. “Tommy,” you called over your shoulder, still watching Joel. He and Tess both rushed over, the three of you watching as Joel slowly came round.
His eyes found you first and you braced yourself for his wrath, but it didn’t come.
“Hey Baby,” his lips tugged up at the edges. “Did I die? What are you doin’ here?”
“Not dead,” your heart was racing. “You’re very much alive, despite your best efforts.”
“He doesn’t remember,” Tommy said. “Why doesn’t he remember?”
“He will,” you said. “He’s just out of it. He probably won’t remember this at all, which is just as well…”
“Always remember you…” he muttered. He tried to sit up but you pushed him back down. His eyes drifted over you. “Even dead you’re so fuckin’ pretty…”
“Not dead, Joel. Giving you a blood transfusion right now,” you said. “And you just had surgery. You need to lie still for me, OK?”
“Knew you’d be a doctor,” he mumbled, closing his eyes again. “My girl the doctor…”
“That’s me alright,” you said, feeling light headed. You looked up at Tommy. “Hold him down for me? I think he’s got enough blood now and I can’t stand losing much more…”
Tommy listened as you stopped the transfusion and got everything cleaned up. Joel was unconscious again, but no longer bleeding out.
“He’ll need to be monitored for the next 48 hours,” you said, writing out some basic care instructions. “Anything goes to shit, Tommy, you know where to find me. And don’t forget about the antibiotics. We can’t have him getting infected…”
“We can pay you when we cash in from this run,” Tess said, her hands in her back pockets as she watched you. You frowned.
“I don’t want your money,” you said.
“I’m not comfortable owing someone,” she replied. You read between the lines. She wasn’t comfortable owing you, Joel’s ex. Something told you that Tommy hadn’t mentioned the specifics of your relationship to Joel. And Joel had moved on. Of course he’d moved on. There was a stabbing pain in your chest that you’d have to cry about once you were out of here.
“You don’t,” you said, desperate to go home. “Really. Hippocratic oath and all that…”
“There has to be something you need,” she said.
You looked at her, thinking for a moment before settling on something.
“Can you take me outside the QZ?”
A/N: Soooooo please excuse any and all medical errors in this sucker. I word for a living (that's right, I write all day at work and then I get on my personal laptop and write all evening because why not.) I know jack crap about anything medical beyond what some googling does and the fact that I binged watched both Grey's Anatomy and E.R. at the start of the pandemic. This is probably a medical disaster area but just act like I know what I'm talking about, OK? It'll be way more fun that way.
Thank you as always for reading! We're into the QZ era of the story which I might be weirdly excited about given the realities of it. I have lots planned for this chunk of the fic and I hope you all enjoy it. I love love LOVE reading all your comments and seeing what you respond to and connect with. Thanks so much for sticking with this story! I love you all!

Can I request teacher k and spanking please? Thank you!!1
A+
warnings: teacher-student relationship, cheating, slight non-con (power difference), age gap (reader is a uni student and k is well…a teacher. At most 7 year age gap), fingering, oral {fem recieving}, harddom!k, exbhitionism; creampie, spanking.
Your first year of college was coming to a close. You had mostly all A’s, except for in one class. In Mr. Koga’s class, you had mostly slept for the entire year. Who wants to be awake at 8am on a Monday after getting blackout drunk the night before?
But you landed yourself a D in his class. Barely, since you were only three points away from failing that class. The final exam was worth half your grade anyway, so if you could just ace it then you’d be in the clear! As soon as the test was placed in front of you, your heart dropped. Shit. You had no idea how to do anything on this paper. Okay, what the hell is a hypotenuse?
You just bubbled random answers and sat there until the testing time was up. Let’s just hope your instincts were amazing. As your teacher started instructing on what courses you’d need to take next for which credits, you found it easy to get lost in his eyes. Was it wrong to want to kiss your teacher? His lips looked pretty nice today, maybe it wouldn’t be too bad dating an older guy.
You shook the thoughts from your head when the Mr.Koga stared passing back exams. He tapped a finger on your desk, your imagination running wild with the veiny orientation of his hand. "You need to see me after class." Mr. Koga whispered, sliding your exam onto your desk. You picked up the test, and low and behold, you got a 45%. Fuck, couldn't atleast get a fifty? Now you were definitely failing his class. He finished passing out tests, going on some dumb rant about how many people passed over the failed amount, which was practically everyone but you.
Maybe you were just a dumbass. Anyway, your professor dismissed the class and you walked over to his desk, swaying your hips as your tiny little skirt hugged your ass. "Y/n, I'm quite concerned with your scores on your test." He looked up, seeing your cute boobs being pushed up by your tight little shirt. "I've never had anyone do this bad on my exams. Is everything okay at home?" He leaned back in his chair, watching as you bit on the back of your black pen.
You pouted, placing a hand on his desk. "I don't know, Mr. Koga. I think I've been having a hard time focusing. This class is fucking boring." His eyebrows furrowed roughly, scoffing. "I'm sorry? Do you think my class is a joke?" You leaned over his desk, giggling in his face. "Mr. Koga, I barely even know what class this is."
"I don't appreciate your attitude, sweetie. You need to act right or I'm gonna have to punish you." You squeezed your thighs together at his harsh tone. Fuck, that's definitely a turn on. "Oh yeah? What are you gonna do? Suspend me?" You teased, Kei sucking his teeth. "I could do that. Or I could give you another option," Kei stood up, placing himself inches away from your face.
"You could fuck me for an A. I know you've been thinking of me like that. So I could report you, or I could fuck you. Bend you over my desk and make you a good girl just for me, hm? Is that what you want?" You could've sworn you were dreaming. You hopped over his desk, bending over into his lap. "Oh, Mr. Koga. I think I need some help making a decision."
Wasting no time, he pulled you by your hair and grabbed your waist. "Let's take these dumb panties off." He grumbled, your chest pressed against the cold wood table as he lifted your skirt. "I'm starting to think you're really a slut. Wearing a lacy thong to school? You just want me inside of you." He pulled the underwear down, looking at your wet folds. "Aw, you really want me bad. Dripping all over my floor." He slapped your ass, watching you slightly jump. "Fuck! Mister Koga." You whined, arching your back into his touch. "Call me sir."
He slid two of his fingers into your hole, caressing your ass as he slowly slid them in. Randomly spanking you as he fingered your hole. "Yes, sir!" He chuckled, unbuckling his slacks. "Where'd that attitude go baby? I thought you wanted to be a brat." He teased, roughly spanking your ass. "I'll be a good girl, promise!" He gripped your thighs, kneeling down to be facing your wetness. He buried his face into your ass, taking a long, deep breath in. "Fuck, such a pretty little girl." He spat, tonguing your clit as he put his fingers deeper inside of you. You squirmed, Kei holding you in place.
"Sir, i-it feels so good! Please, need you in me." You moaned, gripping the desk as you felt the sensation of your boobs rubbing against the wood. He pulled away from your dripping wet pussy, dropping his slacks to the floor. He picked you up, placing you onto your back. He started chuckling to himself. "Damn. I forgot to lock the door. Anyone could just walk in and see you slutting out for your teacher." He palmed his cock, grabbing it from his boxers and slowly shoving it into you without warning.
"Wait, S-sir 'm a virgin!" You squeaked in pain, Kei quickly pulling out. "Really? Shit, I'm sorry, angel. Here, I think I have lube in my bag." Kei squirted some of the cold gel onto his fingers rubbing it over his dick. "Alright, I think that's enough." He mumbled, massaging your thighs. "I'm going in now, okay?" You nodded rapidly, feeling his tip push past your entrance. "Sorry for the stretch." He whispered into your ear, holding your hip as he pushed further in. "F-fuck!" You moaned, feeling like Kei was inside of your womb. "I'm all in. You want me to keep going?"
"Yes, sir. Think I'm ready." You whispered, Kei slightly pulling out and pushing back in. He picked up his pace, lifting your leg over his shoulder. "Fuck, your pussy feels so good. Tight little girl, hm?" Your boobs bounced against your chest as he moved, your eyes rolling back. "Mm, Sir! Feels so good." You moaned loudly, Kei smirking. "Yeah? Damn, you're definitely getting an A for this. Never felt a cunt like this before baby." He spoke, accenting his words with a few hard thrusts. His hand slid down to your clit, vigorously rubbing it as he drilled his cock inside of you.
Feeling your orgasm approach, your legs began to close, but Kei forced them back open. "Don't be shy, angel. I know I'm making you feel good. Just go ahead and cum for me." Your legs crossed behind his back, forcing him to stay inside of you. "You want me to cum inside of your pretty little hole? Tryna get knocked up by your teacher, aren't you?" He sped up, chasing his own orgasm. "Yes! Fuck, please cum inside of me sir." You begged, Kei groaning in pleasure. As you reached your orgasm, you clenched around him, making him cum inside of you.
"Shit. Fuck, I-I'm going to be in so much trouble of you get knocked up." Kei mumbled, his brain starting to reason with himself. You giggled, slowly sitting up onto his desk. "I think you should be more concerned about cheating on your wife, Mr. Koga." He rolled his eyes, massaging your thighs. "Well, we need a divorce anyway." You smiled, placing a kiss on his cheek. "If you want to get remarried, I think I know a good candidate. She might be having your baby."

Belly Rubs w/ You
Genera - fluff, almost tooth rotting
Pairing - idol!Hueningkai x gn!nonidol!reader
Words - 808
Summary - 3 little short stories of Hueningkai and various scenarios surrounding belly rubs and his love for you
Warnings - nicknames, (baby + darling)
a/n - I haven't been able to stop thinking about this for the past... idk long while. Hueningkai would be so in love with your tummy (not to mention you in general) no matter the size.
He always cares about providing you comfort no matter the situation, making you always feel safe and loved around him. He feels good when you feel good.
~~~
After a long day at the studio he would come into your shared apartment, that you just happened to but together a month ago. Wrapping his arms around your sides, nuzzling his face into the side of your neck while also placing soft kisses to your skin.
You could be cooking in the kitchen, preparing for your at home dinner date or laying in bed waiting for him to come home from a late practice.
Hueningkai's fingers always found themself drawn to the plush your belly, tracing mindless images into the skin.
Sometimes it wasn't just mindless though. Sometimes he spelt out his name, or "I love you", or any endearing name he likes to call you.
"Hello to you too." You would say with a giggle. Bringing your hand up to his head, your fingers would comb through his hair, simultaneously messaging his scalp.
He would only hum in response, finally feeling content in your presence once again after a long day without you. His body ached from all the work but you made him feel like he was floating. Floating in the clouds and you were the one thing keeping him from falling.
~~~
On other occasions he was a lot more playful. Let's say you just aced a final exam in one of your toughest classes or got a promotion at work. You would ran to him with the special news, always telling him things first.
His smile would surpass yours while he ran up to you taking you in his arms almost bouncing up and down. You happiness was just so contagious to him.
He would not miss a beat as he pressed his flat palm to your stomach and rubbed fast circles. You couldn't help but giggle at his cuteness but also at the ticklish sensation his touch provided.
Once he thought he'd done enough, a tight hug would be provided. You wrapped your arms around his waist while his arms almost squeezed your head, holding you close.
Placing a long kiss to your forehead, he whispered how proud he was of you and how he always knew you could do it.
Hueningkai was the one who inspired you to keep pushing for higher goals, knowing he would give you belly rubs as a reward.
~~~
But what would happen if you gave him belly rubs?
He would definitely be content in dying right then and there. He didn't need anything else.
It would be an early morning, the fresh sunlight barely peaking through the blinds of your bedroom window. But it was now time to get up. Kai had an early meeting today with the staff and the rest of his members to discuss an upcoming album.
Hueningkai slept through both of his alarms he set the night before, making you to climb over his limp body to turn them off from his phone on his nightstand. (Not to mention all the stuffed animals that you had to maze your way through just to turn off the annoying ringtone.)
"Baby..." you whispered softly when you shook him slightly by his shoulders.
He stirred a little, you could see his nose twitch and his eyes move slightly under his eyelids, but nothing was said back.
The only response you received was a pair of strong arms pulling you back down along with a whine that escaped his throat. Bringing you back down, he buried his face into your chest. One of his favorite cuddling positions.
"Come on darling, you have a meeting." You coaxed as your hand found it's way to his exposed tummy. The pajama shirt he was wearing slightly rode up in his sleep, letting you touch his bare skin with your colder finger tips.
He squirmed immediately, but got used to it after a second. He nuzzled his face even more into your chest, breathing in more of your sent that he loved so much.
However, in reality it was his own heart that was almost beating out of his chest. The thought of you adapting his habits made him never want to leave this moment.
His heart fluttered as you whispered sweet nothings to him, still trying to get the poor boy up.
You then kissed his forehead while you keep your fingers in a constant slow motion before he finally gave into your touch and rolled out of bed with you in tow.
Of course you had to get him ready for the day, you got him attached now.
Series Playlist: [Playlist]
Prologue
flashback
It was a warm spring day. The cherry blossoms began to fall by the window next to the desk where you were fast asleep. As the dismissal bell rang, your eyes fluttered open. Unbeknownst to you, Seonghwa, your seatmate, had been admiring you as you slept. He always had. Seonghwa would protect you from the homeroom teacher’s surveillance, using his hands, papers, books, or whatever he had on the desk to shield you. He cherished your beauty as your eyes shut gradually. Your head was always tilted towards the window, allowing him to take in every detail and trace of your face. Sometimes, his gaze would wander from your face to your hands, and he yearned to hold them, to touch them. The only thing that stopped him was his thoughts. He adored you. He never minded you sleeping during class because it meant you would rely on him more.
“Seonghwa, do you have the math notes today?”
“Seonghwa, how do you say this in Japanese?”
“Seonghwa, please help me study for the next exam!”
At first, Seonghwa’s responses were passive, but eventually, they became more teasing though deep down, he was elated just to be with you, even if it were for only a minute or two.
“Uh-huh.”
“Yeah, sure.”
“I got you.”
“Oh Y/N, what will we do with you?”
“You have to start staying awake, or else you won’t be able to rely on me anymore. I’ll be the one to pass, and you’ll fail.”
Seonghwa was your best friend in high school, always ready to drop everything for you. He knew the world wouldn’t stop, but for you, every ounce of time and effort was worth it. You confided in him about everything. You and Seonghwa were like a key and a lock—inseparable. He was your closest friend, dangerously close. Spending so much time together meant he knew your schedule, your secrets, where you’d go when you ran away from home, your fears, and more.
“Y/N! I called, and you didn’t answer! Don’t you know how dangerous that is—”
Seonghwa stopped himself as he saw you sitting on the swings, tears dripping down your face, contrasting with the usual joy and laughter of children in the playground.
“Hey now…” he trailed off as he walked behind you, gently patting your head and lightly pushing you on the swing. “Wanna talk about it?” he offered, his voice barely above a whisper. You nodded as you wiped your tears.
“My mom and I fought again. We’re always fighting over such petty things. I wish she would just listen to me. I wish I could just run away.”
Seonghwa’s face tensed as he ran his fingers through his hair, conflicted about what to do. Impulsively, he asked you to come home with him. As you both trudged your way to Seonghwa’s house, you suddenly stopped, reflecting on your situation with your mom. Seonghwa noticed you were no longer next to him.
“Y/N?” he called out, turning around to see your melancholic state. You were sobbing. Seonghwa hated seeing you like this, but he was glad you chose to be vulnerable with him. Without a word, he opened his arms and wrapped you in a comforting embrace as you nestled into his chest. You both stood there on the street, enveloped in silence, broken only by your sobs and the occasional sound of passing cars.
Seonghwa knew he could only ever be your best friend. He accepted that because being your best friend meant he was the closest and most special person in your life. The problem was the clear line between being your best friend and being romantically involved. Yes, he knew you inside and out. Yes, he had seen you at your best and your worst. Yes, he could complete your sentences. You could do nothing together and still be completely content.
“Y/N, what are you doing?” he furrowed his brows at you, hands in his pockets, trying to figure out why you were frantically searching around the classroom.
“I swear it was here—Park Seonghwa! What did you do with my earbuds?” you quickly accused him.
“Huh? Why would I take your earbuds? I have my own!” he teased, leaning down and jingling his earbuds in front of you, smiling at your distressed state, which annoyed you.
“Ugh, I guess no music on the way home,” you muttered, slamming yourself down on your seat in frustration.
“Hey… I mean… you could listen along… with me?” He avoided eye contact with you, cringing at himself. Your nose scrunches and lips purse contemplating his offer, and Hwa finds it absolutely adorable. Sure, he didn’t have your playlist, but having music is better than no music.
You maintained a close distance to him as you both walked home with one side of the earbuds in one another’s ear. Seonghwa’s heart pitter-patters so loud, if it weren’t for the music, you would’ve heard it. The way you walked beside him, you were so nonchalant to even realize this guy was panicking and mentally fighting himself constantly. He would steal glances of your face and how cute you looked when you were listening to the music, and your skirt and how it would sway as you moved, and then you’re hand. Oh… you’re hand… it was so close, so close he could hold it. If only he could, and it could come off as nothing. He didn’t want to ruin a good thing.
“Oh?”
He was startled by your voice. Your pretty voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
“What’s this song?” You asked as you looked up at him with your pretty eyes that marbled in the sun. Those eyes he would go to war for.
“Say Yes”
His heartbeat matched the tempo of the song. Everything he had ever wanted to say to you lay within the lyrics.
“I'm always waiting for you like this
Tell me to just stay
You, say yes
Can you say, can you say
You became my light”
Seonghwa believed that his feelings would erode, but every single day he was with you, he grew less sensible. He had strong urges to stroke your hair, kiss you, and have you in his arms. He wanted to know what it felt like without having to ask for it.
Seonghwa noticed the shift in your demeanor and came over as the boys continued to play volleyball, concern etched on his face. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked softly, kneeling beside you.
You shook your head, unable to find the words. Instead, you showed him the screen. His mouth formed an “oh” as he slowly wrapped his arms around you, offering silent comfort as you sat quietly in your racing thoughts.
As he held you, the warmth of his embrace contrasted with the emptiness you had been feeling. His presence was calming, his scent a mix of the ocean breeze and something uniquely… Seonghwa. He gently stroked your hair, his touch soothing and tender. "It's okay to feel this way," he noted. "We're all here for you."
You looked up at him, tears brimming in your eyes. His face, framed by the golden light of the setting sun, making his long black locks and brown eyes shimmer. There was something in his compassionate and loving eyes. At that moment, he wasn't just a friend offering comfort; he was someone who genuinely cared, someone who made you feel safe. Even if it was the bare minimum, you were just picking up crumbs of things you missed, such as the touch and reassurance you received from Yeosang. Because of Seonghwa, you realized how touch-starved you became.
"Thank you, Seonghwa," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper.
He smiled, his eyes softening. "Anything for you." he said softly as he pats you on the head.
Your heart fluttered even through this small gesture. It brings you back to the days when you and Seonghwa were close, but when Yeosang came along, you gradually grew apart. Maybe it’s all a sign to rebuild your friendship with Seonghwa. You needed it, perhaps even deserved it.
Hii, can you please write a Pedri imagine where yn is really stressed because of uni and Pedri has been feeling unloved so they end up fighting but in the end make up???
wc: 2300+
Being in my last year of university has been so much harder than I ever imagine it would have been. It has been constant studying and exams the entire year and now that the end is in sight it's only ramping up even more. The last week I've barely left my desk as I have some really important exams coming up which I need to do well on to get a good degree. Having to study so much has been tiring and I miss having a normal routine but I mostly miss spending time with my boyfriend Pedri.
I have felt so awful because every day when Pedri gets home he comes to spend time with me and every time I brush him off and only see him again when I get into bed after he's already fallen asleep. Shutting him out is the wrong thing to do and I know that but I really need to concentrate and I know I'll never go back to studying if I start spending time with him. Not being able to talk to him about training or watch his matches has been difficult but I've stayed strong and have kept focused on studying no matter how boring it gets.
Today has been the worst day as nothing has gone right I just haven't been able to take in any information and I've just been really frustrated with everything. All of this isn't helped by the fact that I barely slept last night as I was worrying about my first exam which is in just two days now. I have always been that person that gets overly anxious about exams even when they don't mean anything so when an exam is really important I'm just a constant ball of nerves. Just as I was actually getting into studying and starting to understand the content I heard the front door open and close meaning Pedri was home. I love Pedri so much but I was kind of hoping that he wouldn't come in to see me as I don't want to be distracted but of course a few seconds later he came in and stood in the doorway. To be kind I looked and and smiled at him before going back to making notes but as soon as I did I heard him sigh.
"Is everything ok?" I asked while still writing
"Not really no I've miss you you are always in here studying all day and I don't see you at all" he said
"I'm sorry Pedri I wish I could spend more time with you but these exams are really important and I need to do well" I said
"I know but I barely see you for a minute every day it's like you're not here" he said
"I'm sorry why don't you come and sit with me so we can be together" I suggested
That was all it took for him to get another chair to pull up next to mine which seemed to make him happier. Right away he tried asking me questions about what I was doing which is why I've wanted to be left alone as he just distracts me but I answered his questions anyway while trying to keep focused. He kept talking about everything that's happened in the last week which I wanted to listen to but I was trying to block him out as I noticed my mind drifting from studying and luckily he didn't seem to notice as I know it would upset him if I wasn't listening. We sat together for a while with him just talking before he started to put an arm around my waist which was fine until he tried to move me closer to him. When he did that I gently moved his arm off me and moved my chair back to its original position which was a bit further away from him.
He left me alone for a while before moving closer again grabbing hold of my arm that wasn't writing to hold my hand and then rested his head on my shoulder. It was annoying but I let it happen until he started to press kisses to my neck and jaw which usually I love but today I just wanted to be left alone. I let him do it for a while before I realised that I hadn't written anything since he started kissing me. It pained me but I had to move away slightly which meant his lips detached from my neck and I took my hand back to turn the page on my textbook. As soon as I did that he got up and went to leave but he stopped in the doorway again to look back at me.
"I would say I'll see you later but I know I won't see your for another few weeks" he said
"Pedri wait I'm sorry it's just this is really important" I said feeling bad
"I know it's important but so is our relationship y/n I'm starting to think you don't really care about me" he said
"Don't be like this you know I care about you I'm just busy it's not like you spend loads of time with me either I mean you didn't exactly make an effort during the World Cup" I bit back
"That was different I was playing in the biggest football maybe even sports tournament" he said
"Just because you play football doesn't mean you are more important than me my exams are a big deal to me and you should be supportive because I always support everything you do even when it impacts me" I argued
"I am so supportive of you don't even start this" he said
"Then just leave that way I can't start anything" I said sarcastically
"I was going to leave anyway" he replied while slamming the door
As soon as the door shut my head hit the desk and tears started to fall down my cheeks at a rapid pace. I never wanted to argue with Pedri nor did I mean to push him away and make him feel like I don't care about him. The things I said were swirling around my head as I scolded myself for even thinking them let alone saying them out loud. I know Pedri is supportive of whatever I do and he tried his best to talk to me as much as possible during the World Cup but I just had to get back at him somehow as I know I'm in the wrong. His comment about not seeing me for another few weeks hit me hard as it made me realise that when I’ve been struggling to sleep or focus on studying it isn't because I'm worried about exams it's because I miss spending time with Pedri and having a break each day.
After crying for a while I made myself stop and get back to studying for a bit because I know Pedri won't want to talk to me so I might as well make use of the time until he'll have calmed down. When I picked up my pen I tried to read through the textbook in front of my but all the words became jumbled and the tears started to leave my eyes yet again. I just didn't want to study anymore I wanted to make it up to Pedri as he's more important to me than some stupid exam. One bad grade won't kill me but losing Pedri might so I put away all of my things and left to go and find Pedri.
Pedri's POV
The second I slammed the door I regretted it I don't know what came over me but I started a stupid unnecessary argument and now I've made the both of us upset. I feel awful as y/n has been working non stop studying for her exams which are coming up and I know they are really important to her which is why she's been working so hard but I had to go and make her feel bad about it. Everyday she has shut herself away and spent every waking minute looking at textbooks or materials online which has annoyed me as I barely see her at all every day but thinking about it more I realise that she wouldn't do that unless she had to as no one wants to spend their life that way.
I'm such an awful boyfriend instead of just being there to support her and help her realise that she needs some time to relax I started an argument instead. She's probably so stressed already with her exams and I've probably made it 10x worse by making her think I'm mad at her when really I'm not I just miss her. I'm used to coming home from training and being greeted at the door and getting to snuggle with her in bed at the end of the day so not doing that has affected me more than I thought it would and I'm just aching to have her next to me again but now I've made her feel awful. The things that keeps going through my mind is what she said about the effort I made while away for the World Cup because she's right sure I was busy with matches and training but there is time I could've spent calling her but instead I went out with the team while she sat and waited to hear from me.
After thinking for a while I couldn't just sit there anymore I had to go and apologise to y/n and try and make it up to her for being such an awful boyfriend. Before going to apologise I ordered her favourite desert so that I could give it to her to help her studying and also say sorry. Once the order went through I got up and went back to y/n's office but before I could open the door I heard sniffling from the other side of the door and then I heard her actually crying. As soon as I heard that I just stopped I couldn't open the door knowing that I was the one that made her cry. I've never made her cry before at least not from sadness and it really hurts to know that I'm the one that has made her so upset because I never want to hurt her but now I have and I feel awful. I didn't want to open the door and see her like that but I also wanted to stop her crying so I took a deep breath and opened the door.
Your POV
I have no idea how much time had passed but after crying into my textbook for a while I heard the door open which I knew would be Pedri so I didn't look up not wanting him to see me like this or to start arguing again. I was hoping he would just leave again if I didn't look up but he didn't instead he came over and put a hand on my back to rub it gently. His actions made me look up to see him standing next to me with a sorry look in his eyes which made me feel worse than I already did. Once I was looking at him he crouched down in front of me and wiped the tears from my face then leaving his hand to linger on my cheek for a second before putting it back by his side.
We looked at each other for a few moments before I couldn't handle being apart from him any longer I just needed to be in his arms and to forget about everything that happened earlier so I threw my arms around him. He accepted my embrace straight away and lifted me up to bring me out of my office and to the bedroom where he sat down on the bed with me on his lap. Being back in his arms felt so good I've really missed our daily cuddles and just spending time with him. Even after being such an awful girlfriend for the last week Pedri still just moved on and started to take care of me even though I'm the one that should be trying to make it up to him.
"I'm sorry" I said after a while of sitting in silence
"It's ok I'm sorry too I shouldn't have started an argument" he apologised
"No it's my fault I'm sorry I've shut you out this week I just really want to do well on these exams and to stop myself getting too stressed I have to study" I explained
"It's ok love I understand you don't need to apologise I should be supporting you and trying to help not making you feel bad" he said
"Can we both agree that we should've done things differently and move on I'll try and take more breaks to spend time with you and then we won't argue anymore" I suggested
"Of course love I just want you to be happy and not so stressed so if you need to study don't worry about me as long as you make it up to me after exams are over I'll be fine" he joked
"Oh I'll definitely make it up to you" I teased
I regretted my teasing straight away because he tackled me into the bed and started pressing kisses all over my face and neck. He was teasing me now but I didn’t care it was just nice to be spending time with him again. In that moment I decided to spend at least some time with Pedri everyday so that we can talk like we always do or do what we are doing now anything to relax with him.
So, I've been playing FF14 and not eating or sleeping, as you do.
(Like, night before monday? Didn't go to bed. Was playing FF14. Ended up falling asleep at like 11am, and waking up at 4pm. It usually takes a few hours for me to eat breakfast, so I didn't eat any... until 3am, when I got too tired to play FF14 and instead went to bed. Meaning that I didn't eat any food at all for like 30+ hours.)
Anyway. The details aren't super-important. What is important is that I had an exam today.
An exam that I hadn't studied for, because FF14. And I've barely slept or eaten properly for like... several weeks now.
But yesterday I was super-responsible and actually made dinner. I ate two whole meals. And then went to bed at midnight. Amazing.
Woke up at 6am unable to fall back asleep because my stomach was feeling weird and my back was trying to kill me.
Stomach mainly settled down once I got vertical, and my back wasn't... anything unusual, really. Just pain.
So I set everything up to do the exam, and-... And suddenly my stomach says toilet-time.
Probably my most stressful shit in years. Not helped by the dawning suspicion that I might be developing some level of lactose-intolerance.
Anyway. I start the exam and... it's a multi-choice thing that basically goes "do you have basic understanding of the fundamentals of this thing that you've been working with for weeks".
I could still flunk it, because lord knows that I've done some dumb shit before. But also? I was done literally within 15 minutes.
So. Obviously I should comfort my former stress-feelings by playing FF14.
Let me show you... Youtube - chapter 26
I was a little burn out after my project but @boba-tea-fish comments gave me strength to write a chapter today. It is a mental health centered chapter.
Warning : no proof reading, English is not my mother tongue.
If you are interested in reading this fic, the tag "#twst lmsyy" will give you all the chapters.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
It was like a revelation for her. [Of course, that is the only explanation. All those weird whispers, those sounds… Plus, my ex ?? Couldn’t I choose someone else ? Like Morgan Freeman ? At least he could narrate my life with his beautiful voice.]
She sent her crochet flying. She was angry at herself. How could she even let her mental state become this wrecked ?
She laid down. The duvet and bed weren’t comfortable anymore. It was as if she was laying on the ground in the middle of the hallway of Ramshackle. It was hard. It was cold. If it was a sound, it would be like scratching metal. Disturbing. Strident sound. A call for help. What she didn’t know was what aspect this call for help will sound like in real life.
The tonic made an effect a few hours later, allowing her some kind of relief for her neurons. It was a night without any dreams or nightmares. It was just like passing out, like Crewel promised.
When she woke up, she had slept for approximately 5h, which was not a lot for an ill brain.
She stood up. She felt like her body was in a numb state. It was going to be a hellish week to survive until the doctor appointment.
She moved little by little to wear a pair of black leggings and an oversized t-shirt. The bare minimum. She wasn’t feeling like putting on make-up. She would be ugly for a week. Or more, if it stayed. It was going to stay, she knew it, but she was lying to herself because she needed to feel better fast. For Yuu. For Grim. They needed her.
She went out of her room and prepared breakfast. Yuu arrived in their school uniform, Grim by their side.
The woman smiled at the view. “Are you already going back to school ? You could stay a little bit longer at home, you know.”
Yuu smiled in return. “No, I have to go back to school at some point. I want to be able to survive in my environment, so I need to learn as much as I can. Like you said.”
The oldest blinked. [I did say that but I wasn’t expecting it to have an impact on Yuu…]. Victoria nodded. “Alright, if you think so. Who am I to stop you ?”
They went to school, hands in hands. All 3 needed strength in their own ways. Yuu needed help to cross the school gate. Victoria needed help to be able to work for the day. And Grim just needed help with his grade. It was exam season soon, they needed to pass. She needed money to shelter them, so they wouldn't be thrown out.
Before school started, she dropped by Crewel’s desk.
She looked left and right before entering the teacher’s lounge, hoping that Crowley and Trein wouldn’t be there. She didn’t need useless stress or nagging today. Or for a few days. Let’s make it a week.
Crewel saw her doing her little shenanigan. “Searching for someone ?”
Victoria was happy to see him. Like genuinely happy. And it showed on her face. “Dr Crewel ! I wanted to thank you for the tonic.”
He looked at her in silence for what seemed to be hours. She asked, doubtfully. “... Yes ?”
The man asked. “Did you wake up late ?”
The woman blinked. “No… Why ?”
Crewel bent to watch her closely. “You’re not wearing any make-up today. You look… Dead.”
She blanked due to the honesty she was facing. Then Victoria answered carefully. “Yeah, I didn’t feel like a living being today.”
He continued to scrutinize her, until he rectified his posture. “I know you looked cute, with your make-up and all, but despite being bare faced today, you are still cute.”
Victoria blinked a few times before saying. “I thought I was dead ?”
Crewel smiled. “A cute dead.”
Keep Watching. Ch 7
Ch6 Ao3 FFnet
---
Chapter 7
It has been almost two months, and it feels like I wasn't making any progress. Sure, I was finally able to drag a freezer from one part of the beach to another without much issue. But I still couldn't pull the industrial fridge with All Might on it. I at least got it to budge just a little. I still had a long way to go.
When I wasn't training with All Might, I was hard at work studying. Not like I was falling behind in my classes, but that wasn't enough. I barely made it to the top 5 within my own class. And today was one of those exam days.
While I read the questions, they seemed to blur into each other. But I had to stay focused, or I'll fail. As I did my best, my mind kept going between what I should do about my training and the test. And before I knew it, the exam was over.
During lunch, all I could do was stare at the food. It didn't help that I felt like I would throw up. In fact, just the smell of what was in front of me gave me the feeling of vomiting. After I couldn't take it anymore, I threw out my lunch and went to the staircase. As I sat there, I wasn't aware that someone was nearby. That was until I felt something hit my chest.
I looked at what hit me, and it was a juice box. "Damn it, nerd." That's when I faintly saw feet before me. When I looked to see who it was, I was surprised to see Kacchan. "When was the last time you slept?" I looked away from him and stood quiet. That's when he grabbed my face and had me looking at him. "I'm talking to you."
Kacchan let me go and watched as he folded his arms. "I have just been busy, that's all." I watched as he started to tap his fingers against his arm. "I'll be fine."
That's when Kacchan grabbed my hair. "You're gonna catch a fever again." He then took the juice from my hands and pushed it into my face. "If my hag finds out about this, I'll never hear the end of it. So, you better get some rest and eat something." With that, he walked up the stairs and left me alone. I couldn't help but smile. Even when he was mean to me, he still cared.
…
After that day, the class seemed to be quiet. It did make it easier to focus on classes without the noise of the extras. But something did seem off. From how Deku would use hand grips during class. Nobody said anything about it, but everyone saw and knew. At that, Kato and Saito stopped talking to me in class.
After another long day, Kato and Saito invited me to hang with them at the arcade. Nothing special, and I didn't have to go to cram school today. But when I got there, I couldn't help but notice that there were some high school gang members. "Glad you made it, Bakugo. Have I ever introduced you to my cousin?" Kato said as he brought me over to the biggest guy in the room.
"I heard you didn't help my cousin, beating up quirkless bastard." So, that's what this was. I looked at Kato and shook my head. "Now, he also tells me how you knew the bastard since childhood. Something about being friends. Is that why you were too scared to fight him?"
At that, I punched the guy in the stomach. "I ain't scared of that nerd! And there's no way I'm fucking up my record!"
With that, I started to walk away. "Come back here, you bastard!" I could hear his heavy feet closing in. Without even looking, I dodged his swing at my head. As I walked, the big guy still tried to attack me. Even his gang tried to jump me, but I easily avoided each of their moves and left the arcade without getting touched.
While I walked back home, I looked at my phone. It's then I saw that my old hag left a text. And I was not surprised it was about Deku's mom calling her. At that, the nerd came down with a fever. "That damn idiot. I told him, and he still doesn't listen." I tried calling Deku, only for it to go straight to voicemail. That never happened before. So, I started running home.
When I got to the corner, I turned to the right and went to Deku's apartment building. That nerd is going to get a fist full for having me go to voicemail. When I reached the apartment and rang the doorbell. I was somewhat shocked to see that it was his mom that answered. "Katsuki?" She then had tears coming down her face. "My little Izuku isn't home, and I don't know where he could be." This isn't good.
…
After my interaction with Kacchan, I went to the nurse's office. "We have to call your mother. You're running a 101 fever. You should go rest." As I watched the nurse call my mom, I feared what would happen today. I wouldn't be able to get any training done, and mom was going to call Auntie.
I grabbed my bag and hid the fact I was using my phone. After placing mom and Kacchan on mute, I put my book bag down. The nurse gave me some cold medicine and a slip to go home early. Once I took the medicine and gave the slip to my teacher, I left the school. But instead of going home, I went off to the beach. No way I was missing a day of training.
"You're here early, young Midoriya." I looked at All Might and couldn't help but smile. What's one little lie?
"It was a half day at school." With that, we went into training. Even when my body was aching, I still pushed through. I even surprised myself when I was able to move another set of items from the beach. Not to mention how encouraging it was that I had made enough progress that I could see the ocean. But I started feeling dizzy again once I was done training for the day.
"Is something the matter, young Midoriya?"
I forced myself to stand back up and smile at my teacher. "I'm fine, All Might." With that, we went our separate way for the day. But instead of going home, I started to jog the boardwalk. I just wasn't ready to leave yet. It doesn't feel right to stop now when I finally have someone who believes in me.
When I finally did get to my apartment building, I tried to stay as quiet as possible. I didn't even open the door all the way when I saw the two sets of shoes. With that, I quickly closed the door and ran to the roof. I was not going to face either of them. I did my best to slowly climb my way down from the roof to my room balcony. I looked through the window and saw my room was empty.
That night I slept with my door locked. But came morning, I was faced with another issue. How was I supposed to get to school without crossing either of them? It was a bit tricky, but I was able to climb to the roof and then head to school. And that's where Kacchan was waiting for me. He stood at the entrance and didn't look too happy. "Hi, Kacchan."
Kacchan dragged me into the bathroom before landing a punch to my face. "What did I fucking tell you?" He picked me up from my collar before landing a knee to my gut. "And don't even get me started on how pissed off I am at you."
"Kacchan is so amazing." I couldn't stop smiling at the fact Kacchan was giving me his full attention. Any attention from him was better than being ignored. Then Kacchan punched my face again before letting me drop to the floor.
For the rest of the day, I was in the nurse's office sleeping. After Kacchan left me alone in the bathroom is when I passed out. And when I came to, I learned that a teacher found me and took me to the nurse's office. When I finally woke up, I saw my mom was there. "Oh, thank goodness. Izuku, you worried me there." Damn it. That weekend I wasn't allowed to leave home and just rest. I was even shocked at how mom stood home to ensure I got over my fever.
…
I still can't believe that nerd. At that, it didn't take me back a bit when he called me amazing as I was beating him. What has gotten Deku? Then again, it almost seems like all the times he purposely would go to where heroes were fighting. He had the habit of looking for trouble and was good at it.
Not a day goes by where he doesn't stalk hero news and updates. It's what makes him a nerd. But there's also the other thing. Deku doesn't know the meaning of the word no. At that, he's always following me everywhere. Especially when I took up parkour to keep up with my training, since I got tired of doing all those dump classes.
Once class was over, I blocked the door from Deku. I was going to make him finally talk. Something is up, and he's hiding it from me. He never hides things from me. Heck, it was annoying how he would share absolutely everything with me. It never fails when a new hero merch comes out. He's right there telling me about it. And he won't shut up either.
As I blocked the door, Deku just looks at me. So, that's how it's going to be. I went to grab his shirt, and he moved under. He then went to kick me, but I jumped. Before he could make his next move, I landed perfectly on his leg. "Start talking, nerd."
"Come on, Kacchan. Why don't you believe me when I say I can't tell you?" I got off his leg and quickly grabbed the back of his shirt. "But Kacchan."
"Shut up." Deku placed his arms up to defend his face. I used my free hand to move them out the way. "Talk!"
Deku started to cry, and his voice cracked as he spoke. "All I can say is that it has something to do with getting into UA." That's when I threw him to the ground and stepped on his back.
"I told you to give up. A quirkless nobody is never going to get in." With that, I kicked his side and started to walk away.
"Just you wait and see." I looked back and saw how Deku was wiping away his tears. "When I get into UA, you'll see how wrong you are." Before I got a chance to punch him, he got up and ran past me. While I chased him, I watched how he started heading into a busy street. Here's my chance to catch him. That was until I saw him go into traffic. Damn, that nerd! What was he thinking?
I watched as he jumped onto the hood of one car and slid across another car. When did he have that level of confidence to do that? He always hated playing street chicken. Whatever he was trying to hide was really that important? Either way, I was still on his tail as I watched him cross into an ally.
When I turned into the ally, I didn't see him. But I did see a nearby dumpster. I went to look inside and was surprised to not find Deku there. How in the world did he outrun me? That was until I heard a noise behind me. But before I could react, I was kicked inside the dumpster. That damn nerd! He tricked me!
Chapter 3 Summary:
Plans are made as Tup's condition starts to deteriorate.
Fic Summary:
Six months after the trials of Umbara, Tup and Dogma are growing into themselves as well-established members of the 501st. Tup's been training more with Fives and Jesse, set on an ARC trooper promotion, and even Dogma has found a place in medical, where his intense focus and organization are both needed and appreciated.
While practicing for his medic exams, Dogma find some worrying abnormalities in Tup's numbers, making some worrying discoveries. As Tup's condition worsens, help comes from unlikely sources as Dogma, Kix, Fives, and Hardcase fight to discover the truth and save their brother.
A Sequel to the fic "A Series of Hard Knocks," focusing on Tup and Dogma as they discover a nefarious plot.
Chapter 3:
To absolutely nobody’s surprise, Tup fell asleep the moment they got back to their bunkroom, and after reviewing his notes with Kix, it wasn’t long before Dogma joined him. Despite the sharp worry clawing at the back of his mind, Dogma fell asleep quickly, slumped against his batchmate’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. It was barely five hours later when he woke up again, Tup still plastered to his side, to find Kix and Fives discussing something over a datapad.
Carefully removing himself from Tup’s grasp, Dogma slid out of the bunk and gave a quiet nod to the other two.
“Get enough sleep, Dogma?” Kix asked with a knowing look. Back when he’d taken his medic’s exam, he hadn’t slept nearly enough. He could only imagine the added stress that Dogma was likely feeling from this whole scenario.
“I’m fine,” Dogma grunted. “How’s Tup’s scans? Have you two come up with anything yet?”
Fives grimaced, “I looked through what I could find of the Kaminoan’s files, and I couldn’t find anything on brain tumors. Other types of tumors, yes, but nothing from the brain.”
Kix nodded, “It was weird, but we could barely even find brain scans to compare Tup’s to; at least not higher-level scans like we did. It’s like the long-necks used their di’kutla hyper tests every single time, just for kicks!”
Fives had been smirking at Kix’s words, “for kicks,” when a thought came to mind. “Still, you’d think that they took brain scans for other things. Brain bleeds, concussions, kriff, even their freaky experiments. But we found nothing. I’m just saying, it’s a little suspicious.”
“Hmm. You might be onto something, Fives. Either way, though, we still need to figure out how to get whatever-it-is out of Tup’s head– without the Kaminoans finding out about it.” Kix said, deep in thought.
“Well, why don’t you just remove it?” Fives asked.
Kix rolled his eyes. “Oh, and should I rearrange the stars while I’m at it? I’m a field medic, Fives, not a brain surgeon. That requires special training; that or a really good medical droid.” He snapped before wincing internally at his tone. “Sorry, haven’t had my kaff yet.”
Fives shrugged, unoffended. “It’s okay, we all had an early start today. But if it’s a med droid we need, that shouldn’t be too difficult. We’ll just need to find one and convince it to do the surgery without alerting the long-necks. Easy!”
Dogma raised an eyebrow at Fives’ nonchalance. “And how do you plan on doing that?” Fives was taking this far too lightly, in his sleep-deprived opinion.
Typing on his datapad once again, Fives responded. “Well, if you give me a moment to find the programming manual for those medical droids–”
“An AZ unit would be better,” Kix interjected, and Fives nodded before continuing.
“Yep, just as I thought. Most droids, even the stuffy ones, will go against basic protocol if it means that their base function is fulfilled. Luckily for us, AZ units are programmed to do what’s best for the patient, above all else! So if we convince the droid that it would harm Tup to alert the Kaminoans, we should be good to go!”
“Are you sure that’s going to work?” Dogma asked, hopeful but still skeptical.
“I’m sure of it! Besides, growing up with Echo as a batchmate, I got pretty good at thinking around the regs.” Fives grinned, relieved that they finally had a plan to help Tup. Sure, he was close with everyone in his squad, but since Echo died, Tup was his best friend, and he hated feeling helpless when his brothers were hurting.
Kix nodded, and the group sank into thought. “How are we going to get our hands on a medical droid?”
Fives smirked, “Leave that to me.”
When Tup came back to awareness an hour later, his entire being felt like it was wrapped in a thick fog. If his vision had been a little off earlier, now it was downright blurry, and he shook his head a bit in the hopes that it would clear it. Instead, a sharp pain lanced through his skull and he let out a groan.
Distantly, he could hear his brothers moving around him, and one of the blurs got close enough that he could recognize Dogma. “-Hey Tup, how are you feeling?”
Tup scrubbed at his face with a clumsy hand. He may not have Dogma’s training, but something definitely felt off. “I-I don’t… feel like myself…” He muttered, earning a concerned look from Dogma.
“Hey Kix, does his voice sound slurred to you?” Dogma asked, shining a light in Tup’s eyes, and Tup let out an uncharacteristic whimper as the light seared his retinas.
“Sorry, sorry, vod. Just need to check something.” He apologized before turning towards the other medic, and Tup drifted a little, in a haze.
“ –Tup. Tup?” Flinching harshly, Tup realized that he’d spaced out again, and the other three troopers were all standing around him.
“W-what?” He asked, attempting to get up, only to be pushed back down with a gentle hand.
“We need to get him back to medbay– now.” Kix said, voice insistent. “I don’t know why, but his numbers are looking worse, and I don’t want to hold off for too much longer.”
Dogma nodded, and Tup belatedly realized that he’d captured his batchmate’s hand at some point, but thankfully Dogma didn’t seem to mind, squeezing it lightly whenever he started to drift again.
“How are we going to get him into medbay undetected?” He asked, and Fives opened his mouth to respond when, all of a sudden, Hardcase entered the room with an enthusiastic grin.
“Vode, you would not believe the– what’s going on?” Hardcase paused, noting the stress lines on Kix’s face, and how they all gathered around Tup. “Is Tup alright?”
Fives paused before taking charge of the situation. “There’s no time to explain, vod. We’ve gotta go to medbay. But first, I need you to do something for me.”
Nodding expectantly, Hardcase said. “Anything, Fives.”
At that, Fives’ expression quirked into a small grin. “I need you to punch me in the face.”
Hardcase blinked, and hardly a moment later, Fives was clutching his jaw with a groan. “You could’ve at least hesitated, vod!” He complained, shaking his head to clear it, a sardonic grin on his face. “Right, let’s head to medical.” He ordered, and the others were swift to follow, with Kix and Dogma each looping one of Tup’s arms around their shoulders.
Hardcase followed behind, a small grin on his face despite his growing worry. “You said there’s no time, Fives… why exactly did I just punch you in the face?”
“Come on, I’ll explain on the way.” Fives said, and Hardcase nodded. He’d followed the ARC into fire many times before; following him into medbay couldn’t be that bad.
Once they got to medbay, citing a sparring match gone wrong, it wasn’t long before Fives and Tup were seated on an exam table, being looked over by a med droid. Thankfully, it was one of the newer AZ units Kix had mentioned.
With Tup slumped on Fives' side, looking increasingly worse and muttering under his breath about good soldiers, it didn’t take long for the med droid to recognize that something else was going on. Thankfully, Fives came prepared, and after Kix showed the medical droid their scans, it wasn’t long before they were deep in discussion.
“Think about it. It’s your duty to save the patient, right?” Fives asked.
“That is correct.” The med droid bobbed his head in a nod, surprisingly expressive for a droid.
“And you agree that surgery is the correct course of action with these scans, as the best way to save the patient, right?”
“That is correct.”
“So, by stalling and informing the Kaminoans, who according to you, would move to terminate, dissect, and study the patient, you’d be letting the patient die, willingly.”
Fives forced himself to continue, keeping his voice even despite how the words threatened to choke him. Tup wasn’t on death’s door, not yet, but if he kept going downhill as fast as he was, Fives didn’t need to be a medic to know it’d be bad.
“Impossible! That is against my programming!”
“That’s not the way it looks to me,” Fives challenged.
“I cannot perform a surgery of this magnitude without disobeying protocols.” AZ-3 hedged, and Fives knew he had him right where he wanted.
“Check your programming,” Fives said. “I thought saving the patient at all costs was fundamentally your highest order.”
“That is correct.”
“Right, then let’s get to it.” Finally, Fives allowed a relieved look to cross his face as the medical droid was finally convinced to do the surgery– without alerting the Kaminoans. He looked over to Kix and Dogma, seeing dual looks of relief. Hardcase still looked a little confused, having been blindsided by the whole scenario, but thankfully, he’d kept the questions to a minimum, recognizing the urgency of the situation.
“Remind me to never leave you alone with a medical droid, vod.” Kix said, tired yet amused, still beyond grateful that Tup was going to get the help he needed.
Tup himself was oblivious to everything that had happened, having fallen into an uneasy state of unconsciousness after they’d laid him down on the exam table, not quite asleep, but definitely not awake either. His hand was still being carefully grasped by Dogma as he kept watch over his brother.
The med droid bobbed in the air, quickly getting started with the surgery prep. “CT-5385 is already unconscious, but I will administer a sedative to ensure he does not awaken during the surgery.”
Fives interjected. “Tup. His name is Tup.”
“Tup? What is a Tup?” The med droid asked, confused.
“He’s my friend; our brother. He’s not a number.” Fives continued, insistent.
“Yes he is. We all have numbers. My number is AZ-345211896246498721347. His number is CT-5385.
“Wrong, he has a name. No clone uses their number, not anymore.” Not since Kamino, and definitely not since Umbara, if any of them had a say in it.
“But you are a number. CT-5555.” The med droid’s tone was curious, even as it puttered around the exam room prepping for Tup’s surgery.
“No, I am Fives. Call me Fives.”
Kix’s face quirked into a small smile, listening to Fives argue with the medical droid. Still, he couldn’t deny the effectiveness of the ARC trooper’s tactics, convincing the med droid to help Tup.
“But, five is a number?”
“No, not five, Fives .” Fives enunciated to the confused droid.
“Oh…” AZ-3 nodded, and Fives grinned in success, only to be crushed when AZ continued. “The difference is minimal.”
Dogma huffed in amusement, appreciating the distraction from Tup’s deteriorating health, however small. As he stood there, waiting for the medical droid to start cutting into his batchmate’s brain, Dogma jumped forward at a sudden thought.
“Wait– Tup’s hair, I don’t…” Dogma paused, forcing himself to use clinical terms, even though it was his batchmate laying on the exam table, unconscious and vulnerable.
He reworded his thoughts carefully. “Cutting the patient’s hair unnecessarily would negatively impact his wellbeing. I’ve read about other techniques for civilians with brain tumors, but… is there any way to do the surgery without shaving his head?”
AZ-3 tilted his head robotically. “Hair is not alive, and thus has no pain receptors. How would cutting CT-5385’s hair negatively impact his well-being?”
Dogma paused for a moment, trying to explain. “Tup… when we were cadets, a trainer once attempted to forcibly cut his hair, against his will. After this event, his range scores were lower for a while, and he had trouble sleeping until it started to grow out again. Even now, he’s… careful about who he allows to touch his hair. Losing sleep could lengthen his recovery, which would be harmful to his overall health.”
A moment passed, and AZ-3’s servos whirred for a second before responding. “It would be less efficient, and would be more time-consuming, but it can be done. Hair-sparing techniques will only require me to shave half-an inch of his hair away from the surgical area, once I have applied the proper sealants. Would you like me to proceed with the surgery for clone trooper Tup?”
Dogma let out a sigh of relief as AZ immediately started prepping for the surgery. “Yes, thank you, AZ.”
AZ bobbed his head, hardly pausing from his “I am a droid, I do not require thanks.”
Dogma shook his head, exasperated, before stepping back, reassured that Tup’s hair would be saved. As he moved back towards the others, Fives gave him a friendly nudge. “Good job, vod. I didn’t even think about his hair.”
Dogma nodded wearily. “He’s going to have enough worries after this surgery. I didn’t want to add any more, if I could help it.” He kept his gaze on Tup, forcing himself not to look away as AZ continued with the surgery. It was lucky that they'd gotten him into surgery when they did, but his brain couldn't stop going through likelihoods of brain damage, skull pressure, even death, as he forced his gaze away from Tup's vitals.
He flinched slightly as Fives wrapped an arm around his shoulders before he relaxed a little bit at Fives’ reassurance. “Tup’s lucky to have a vod like you watching out for him.”
“Thanks… you too.”
Even with the additional steps for the hair-sparing surgery, it wasn’t long before AZ-3 finished the surgery, placing a bacta patch over the incision. Once he was done, he transferred the tumor to a microscope slide, which he passed to Kix.
“What is that?” Fives asked, shuddering at the misshapen tumor on the slide, and a pit of dread filled Dogma’s stomach as he looked back at Tup, still painfully still. Only time would tell if there were any lasting effects, so he squeezed his batchmate’s hand and hoped for the best.
[Gakuen K] Totsuka Tatara Route Translation
To the test
LIST OF CHAPTERS
[Translation under the cut]
Anna: ...This is what will be in the test .
Anna: If you don't neglect your preparation and review, you will surely find it easy. Good luck at the exam.
Yata: Aggghhhh...
Kamamoto: Yata-san, what's the matter?
Yata: Kamamoto...
Kamamoto: Y-yes. ...You sound unhappy.
Yata: Kamamoto, I won't do this! I'm going to repeat the year!
Kamamoto: This won't happen. You start getting too nervous even before the test starts.
Yata: No, I know what I'm talking about. I'm definetely going to repeat the year. How many times do you think I slept through class!
Kamamoto: Didn't you have a chance to wake up?
Yata: If I had, I wouldn't be so depressed~
Kamamoto: Haaa...Please do your best, that's all I can say.
Kamamoto: Konohana looks smart, so it won't be a problem for you.
Saya: Ha...
Kamamoto: What's wrong? That heavy sigh of yours.
Saya: Kamamoto-kun... Maybe I might not make it either.
Kamamoto: Waaah!? No way it's Yata-san's level!?
Saya: Un-uh. I don't think it's as bad as Yata-kun's.
Kamamoto: I think I just heard something awful... But, I'm not in the position to say that.
Kamamoto: So, what's wrong with it?
Saya: Compared to my previous school, the classes at this school are a little more difficult.
Saya: I can barely keep up. I'm worried about the test...
Kamamoto: If you can keep up with me, isn't that okay? I mean, I somehow relieved to know that you're not on Yata-san's level.
Kamamoto: Right. Why don't you go study in the library?
Saya: In the library?
Kamamoto: If you're going to do it in the club room or your own room, you'll get distracted, right? If you want to prepare for the test the library is the best place to study.
Saya: I see, thanks! I'm going to study in the library from today and try my best.
Kamamoto: Oh, that's the spirit! Yata-san, let's take an example from her and try to do our best too!
Yata: ...No way.
Kamamoto: Yata-saaan...
Saya: Uhh, I can't remember anything at all...
Saya: (Well...Hojo Tokimasa, Yoshitoki, Yasutoki, Sutetoki)
Saya: Tokiyori, Chotoki... oh, who's the next one?
Totsuka: That's Masamura.
Saya: Eh?
Totsuka: Tokimasa, Yoshitoki, Yasutoki, Sutetoki, Tokiyori. Nagatoki, Masamura, Tokimune, Sadatoki, Shiitoki, Munenobu. Terutoki, Motoki, Takatoki, Sadatoki, Moritoki!
Totsuka: Looks like you're memorizing the names of the Hojo clan, aren't you?
Saya: Amazing...Senpai, you're good at Japanese history.
Totsuka: Actually, I'm not that good at it.
Saya: But, weren't you saying it so smoothly...?
Totsuka: Oh, it's just me. There was a time when I was addicted to memorization. I happened to memorize that one at that time.
Saya: That's really cool. I'm not good at memorization so I'm envy you.
Totsuka: Fufu. What's with the long face? It's hard because you think of it's as a learning experience. If you think of it as a game, it would be nothing.
Saya: Un-uh. I can't think of it as a game at all...
Totsuka: You seem to be having a hard time with that, huh? I don't have good grades, but if you want, I can help you with your studies.
Choice: [Please help me...] ♥
Saya: Really!? Oh, please help me...
Totsuka: Haha. Roger that. I'll sit next to you.
Totsuka: Now, what part of this you don't understand? Totsuka-sensei will tell you everything he knows.
Saya: Here and here on this page. And on the next page, and on the next page...
Totsuka: Hmm.
Saya: Ah...Sorry. Such an amount must be troubling.
Totsuka: Un-uh. Maybe, compare to this school, the classes in your previous school weren't that difficult?
Saya: Actually, they are. I can barely keep up with the class.
Totsuka: I see.. if you'll try to understand everything properly one by one, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Totsuka: Alright! Let's start!
Saya: Yeah. Please treat me well!
Choice: [I'm fine]
Saya: No, I'm fine.
Totsuka: Really? You're not holding back, are you?
Saya: There are too many things I didn't understand, so I thought it would be too much trouble for Totsuka-senpai.
Totsuka: It that case, I hope you can rely on me even more. I'm your senpai after all. I want to help my kohai.
Saya: ...Thank you. Um, I look forward to working with you.
Saya: Tho I think you'll be stunned by my stupidity...
Totsuka: It's alright, it's alright. There's a guy in our club named Yata Misaki who has even worse grades.
Totsuka: The general at the time of the attack of Tsuyu Gen was Hojo Tokimune. The way to remember it is, "The Mongol invasion is pounding in my chest because of Hojo Tokimune". Can you repeat it?
Saya: "The Mongol invasion is pounding in my chest because of Hojo Tokimune".
(It's a bit had to translate this one, since he's using wordplay here. "Genko" is a Mongol invasion of Japan in the 13th century, which was defeated by Hojo Tokimune, his first name associated with the sound of heart beating "toki toki" and his last name sounds the same as the word "chest", which means "mune")
Totsuka: He said it would be a disaster if they landed. In fact, Tokimune's chest must have really been pounding.
Totsuka: If you think like this and not just memorizing what's in the textbook, you'll enjoy studying Japanese history.
Saya: I have a lot to memorize, but I don't have much free time. It's really fun to listen to what you're talking about in this way.
Saya: Senpai is good at teaching.
Totsuka: ...It's embarrassing to receive such an honest compliment. I guess it's because I'm in charge of taking care of new members in the Red club.
Saya: Are you looking after all the new members?
Totsuka: Un-uh. I don't usually go that far. But if you ask, I'd be happy to go along.
Totsuka: In your case, it was written all over your face that you needed help, so I called out to you. It was a little insolent.
Saya: No, it wasn't. I don't know what would have happened if you didn't...
Totsuka: I see, that's good then. Ah, we're wasting our time talking. Let's get on with it.
Saya: Yes!
Totsuka: It's already this late. Let's wrap up here for today.
Saya: Thank you so much for today! Senpai's way of teaching was very good and easy to understand!
Totsuka: You're welcome. So, let's go home then. I'll walk you to the dorm.
Saya: Thank you. Ah...
Totsuka: What's wrong?
Saya: Senpai, didn't you have something to do?
Totsuka: Why?
Saya: I thought maybe you came to the library because you had something to do. Am I wrong?
Totsuka: Aaahh.. I remember! The books I borrowed was overdue. I came to sneak them back.
Saya: Fufu. I see. What kind of books do you read?
Totsuka: All sorts of. Look.
Saya: Oh, you borrowed a lot.
Saya: (From mystery novels to history books. Plus...)
Saya: This is a picture book...?
Totsuka: Ooops...have you noticed it? I know it's a little strange to have a picture book at my age.
Saya: No, it's not. This book has a cute cover.
Totsuka: I though, that the animals that appear in this picture book look like everyone in the Red club.
Saya: Oh, this lion probably is...
Totsuka: Doesn't it look like King? Especially the look in his eyes.
Saya: Fufu. I think it's similar.
Totsuka: Right? And there is more, this one looks like Yata...But I think we're running out of time.
Totsuka: I'm going to return them or the librarian will get mad at me. Wait here!
Saya: ...He ran away.
Saya: (Thanks for the attentive teaching I hope I can pass the test somehow)
Saya: (But I'm still worried about my knowledge, so I need to study harder!)
