I wondered what the issue was with screens in cars until I found out that for most people, a "smart car" is a whole operating system in place of the dashboard and most of the controls, and not just an android tablet installed as a stereo in an otherwise completely normal car that lets you use google maps or reply to texts by voice without looking away from the road (so basically what you can do with a mounted phone but built-in)
