Howdy! Christmas is tomorrow, and once again I'll be doing a big, shiny pokemon surprise trade-away for it!
I'll give a rough start-time of 12-1 PM (MST), but it really depends on when the family wakes up and we do our presents, could be earlier, could be later 馃槀 But either way, I'll make a new post when I'm about to start!
Game-wise, I'll be going from old to new, so I'll be starting with BDSP (will only take a few minutes, I think I have like, four pokemon to send out lol), then SWSH, and finally SV!
All the shiny pokemon I'm sending out are fully legit! They're my extra community day shinies from pokemon go, plus some from other events that I happened to already have. The pokemon I send out will have 'Fluffmuffler' as their OT!

you know, in light of today's news, i really just wanna say that i genuinely think that this gen is my fave pokemon gen. pokemon swsh has introduced so many amazing concepts to pokemon. like, okay:聽
xp candies make working on my living dex a snap
dynamaxing is honestly way more fun than i ever thought it would be. it's a blast, especially with pokemon with gigantamax forms. and i love seeing the special dynamax moves. seeing my haunter doing max phantasm makes me want to cry tears of joy bc i love him so much and its the perfect move for him
raids are also hella fun, and a great way to get really powerful pokemon -- also wonderful bc this is the first time in a pokemon game where i feel like i get to actually team up with my friends instead of being against them. It's really nice
being able to access my pc box from anywhere is incredible. so is the ability to choose whether i want to add a pokemon to my party after i catch them or send them to the box
seeing pokemon before running into them is so cool. you're not really a pokemon trainer unless you've been madly chased down by a wild sneasel while sprinting away, those fuckers are fast as hell. and i love that there's still rustling grass as well for the occasional element of surprise.聽
cooking curry? i adore it, it's a lovely little mini-game, and it's great to be able to heal my pokemon almost anywhere without having to use up all my items. my currydex is almost complete, just waiting on one more ingredient from the ingredients sellers, and i got my first charizard class curry
almost all of the galarian forms are wonderful. i love seeing different forms for old faves
the nature changing mints are so handy聽
judging stats via pc is a breeze
the wild area is my fave. i've spent literal hours in there, and i love that the weather changes every day. every time i visit, i find new pokemon, new items, new raids, new ingredients. i'm never bored.聽
which is why i'm so excited about the prospect of a new area with new places to explore, new galarian forms, and most importantly.... it fixes what people considered to be the biggest flaw of swsh: its limited pokedex.聽
and you don't have to spend money to get the updated pokedex!! sure, if you want a new area to explore, then yeah, you're gonna have to pay to get that, but that's fair imo. (it is a bit steep for a dlc but eh, we're getting a lot out of it.) but the updated pokedex is being patched into the base game. you can trade your slowpokes and articunos and moltres and zapdos from your old games to swsh, or you can get their galarian forms traded from friends who have bought the dlc.聽
i'm just really happy about swsh in general tbh?? it feels like this is how pokemon was meant to be -- dynamic and full of life.
