Time for me to sing about Pretty Little Thing again since it's been so long 💃
In chapter nine, Batman told Vic to gather information on the kids. I wonder if that's going to lead to them learning about the kids' families and for Billy, Uncle Ebeneezer. It's a possibility they would check there for Billy since Ebeneezer is a legal guardian in the area (if he's still in Fawcett). From there, they could find out how crusty dusty mean Ebeneezer is (Flash would make fun of that name, tbh), and more things about Billy. Which through this, they learn more about Captain Marvel, their friend who they used to know nothing about.
Also, at the end of Chapter Nine, Vic wondered if this was all a big distraction from the truth, and I think he's onto something. What if, through his research, he does find out that there are kids going missing? What if he tries to find street footage of the kids and ends up discovering Scott, possibly alive from weeks ago being kidnapped or found dead. The JL only thinks the Captain is missing. They don't know about the serial killer on the loose yet.
I get the feeling they might find out soon, since in the 10th chapter, we see a flashback of Captain Marvel talking to Flash, where he says things are busy in Fawcett, and that Flash says he looks "spacey". I don't know if Barry will connect the dots and remember this conversation, but it seems important.
You have some really excellent observations skills!
The JL have a long way to go with their investigations and they will be in for a lot of twists and turns before they learn the truth. They are only working with a part of the problem, completely unaware of how far reaching all of this is (they have to figure out about the missing kids, serial killers, and secret identities!)
They will all be thinking back to their interactions with Captain Marvel (both recent and not) so they will be connecting dots eventually (though whether they come to the right conclusions is yet to be seen)
Your continued investment in this fic is so motivating to me (I literally reoutlined the whole thing this afternoon in preparation for the next update and I am so excited for what's coming up!)

What I think of metalocalypse ships
Skwistok- it's. Okay? I can see why it's a thing as they're the most conventionally attractive, they have a funny dynamic and they technically do work well together but it's just bland. Personally they really fit the rival siblings sort of vibe, skiwsgaar bullying toki because that's what older brothers do and they just seem like very close friends that mean a lot to eachother then anything super romantic/sexual (or if anything i love a solid qpr). IF ITS DONE CORRECTLY and you actually flesh out both charecters I've read a couple fantastic fanfics but otherwise it's a 6-7/10 for me.
Nickles- fuck yea, pre-klok snb pickles and young Nathan? Fuck yea. Late deth-klok emotionally constipated co-parents? Fuck yea. They already care about eachother so much from contributing so much to the band, and they've known eachother forever. Love it 👍👍👍👍 10/10
Dickface- kind of what happens when fandoms don't want to include the less attractive charecter, and as someone who does like murderface this isn't the greatest ship BUT I see why it exists. The Christmas special? Great! 6/10
Nategail- eh. It could've been SO GOOD GUYS I LOVE ABIGAIL!! But unfortunately it just was NOT fleshed out enough and if they gave us reasons to care about the ship then sure but CMON that proposal scene was so fucking awkward. 5/10
Now we get into the rair pairs
Natecharles- fuck yea any creations I've been surrounding this ship have been very high quality and I think it's sweet. 8/10
Skwisgaar/murderface- I actually really like this one WHEN. Skiwsgaar is the one that first starts liking murderface not the other way around. It can be used to show that regardless of appearance it turns out that people will like you for being YOU and it's generally pretty nice.
7/10
Nategaar- aha yea give it to me, it's like. Yea. This ship shakes my head like an etcha sketch. It's the most musically driven people in the band, the most most likely to pursue music afterwards if the band ever ended, both perfectionists when it comes to their creations and they both have a tendency to work until they drop. Yes. 9/10
Magnus/Charles- the only reason I even mention them is because @feeshies wrote the most in-depth fic I've honestly read to date surrounding this paring and the characterization of both of them has honeslty made me like them as a whole. I love the idea of the DRAMA when magnus got kicked out to also lose another person he cared about and Charles choosing the band over him, as a tragedy enjoying YUM
Pickles/toki- ehhh, there's just too many parental caregiver vibes for it to really work. They both deeply care for eachother and they obviously are very close but yknow it's not like a actual relationship type thing. 3/10
Tokigail- not my fave but honestly not horrible for a show with like a single female charecter. I don't think their good in like an actual relationship but I love the idea of a very closeknit friendship forged from sharing horrible experiences. 4/10
Hammertooth- such a landmine I'm not even going to talk about it
Poly klok- yes. Just, as a queer person who is also aromantic I get such joy seeing them all together and happy, no matter the dynamic they all have lovely chemistry and i love scenes where their all just hanging out and having fun

Fic Song Tag Game
Thank you @spindrifters for the tag!! This is gonna be unhinged jsyk, basically half these songs actually inspired the fic and the other half happened to be my hyperfixation song during an intense period of writing so they do not relate lyrically at all, but the vibes… the vibes.
True Blue by Boy Genius
But it feels good to be known so well
I can't hide from you like I hide from myself
I remember who I am when I'm with you
Your love is tough, your love is tried and true blue
Okay obviously I have to include the song that TTTB gets it’s title from. You’ve never done me wrong!!! Except for that one time!!!! Genuinely the sapphic Wolfstar anthem… what else can I say….
Body to Flame by Lucy Dacus
Longing for your short hair to grow back to the way you like
Thank you for the gesture
I regret ever implying that you could be better
Didn't mean to empty your perfect body
And fill it with my passing will
Easily won, weary of losing, gullible girl
Weak and alluring, well, we break our rules
Get drunk in the dark
Laughing aloud at the spinning stars
Ok this one is scary- so what happened is I wrote two scenes for TTTB before I ever heard this song, and then Mel read them and then she listened to this song and she was like “dude… this song is about your fic and those two scenes specifically” and I was like “haha yeah it’s Lucy Dacus, the Queen of Sapphic Pining” but then I listened to the song and like… the specificity. They lyrics match up exactly. You will see when we get to fourth and fifth year, but, Lucy, my wife, we were drinking from the same mother lake…
Vampires by Tommy Lefroy
And I know you
I know you
I know you know
I know you feel everything
Okay so this one has the above lyrics, which became a sort of source code for TTTB Sirius. I associate this song with her and it helped to ground my writing of her character in the first couple chapters. Anyway I love her, also Tommy Lefroy rules, they’re gonna get big, I just know it.
Holland, 1945 by Neutral Milk Hotel
The only girl I ever loved…
This one has absolutely jack shit to do with anything related to this fic, but I was deeply hyperfixating on it back in January when I was first outlining TTTB, sooo yeah. I also wrote the first scene I ever wrote for this fic while listening to this song on repeat at my favorite coffee shop.
The Bench by Like Roses
Break down with me on the phone
Just like we did those nights when I was at home
This is another one that lyrically doesn’t have much to do with anything, but really helped me achieve the specific angsty headspace I needed to be in to write the year one Christmas chapter when Sirius goes home to Grimmauld Place. Also the above lyrics really gave me ‘prongsfoot talking through the mirrors’ vibes. I know this song is actually about addiction, like I’m aware.
Francis Forever by Mitski
I don’t think I could stand to be
Where you don’t see me
Mel texted me in a panic because she had read a snippet of a scene I wrote from sixth year and then listened to this song in close succession and she said that she had never really listened to these lyrics before, or she didn’t fully get what they meant, until she read that snippet and thought about this song and had a breakdown. Anyway, something for y’all to look forward too. Post prank vibes, delicious angst.
Honorable Mentions go to:
The entirety of Transgender Dysphoria Blues by Against Me- nothing is more punk rock than being transgender and if you haven’t listened to this album yet, do yourself a favor and turn that shit up right now. Fucking bangers all the way through.
Dreamt We Were Closer by Ash Tuesday- look it’s not my fault that this is a Wolfstar song, okay???
For Sale: Ford Pinto by Rosie Tucker- my current hyper-fixation song, idk what will come of it yet but it is a whole vibe.
Tagging Mel @capacity-for-wonder who is on her honeymoon but will never miss a chance to make a playlist.

First of all hi!!
And regarding your last post omg I been fearing for Ren's life the *moment* we learned Madame X can get rid of grunts who fail too much remotely. Like- like????? They have his body in HQ???? His soul in a mechanical body????? She can so *so much harm* whenever she pleases I'm so scared for the raid-
Nastasia's protection can only get so far hhhh-
omg hi! it's nice to meet you, i'm Sophie :)
(i see on your blog that you're infj and taurus! i'm intj and capricorn! earth introverts rise up!)
i got excited answering this and went off on a couple of spoiler-filled tangents, so I included the rest under the cut.
I 10000000% agree, especially about the upcoming raid! Team Xen grunts literally sign away their bodies and souls when they join, so it's no wonder why seemingly redeemable characters like Eli and Sharon are forced to stay on.
[aside: I'm pretty sure that Team Xen "recruitment" in general follows a standard format where people in life-threatening or easily manipulable situations are offered either a second chance at their own life or the chance to save the life of a loved one. I mean, there's Neved with Francesca, Madelis with Lisbeth, Keta with Aelita. I mean, there's a grave marked "Eli" at Carotos Peak and I don't think that's a coincidence. Why else would all these people fight (presumably) for the destruction of the world? All those fires in Aevium's past (like the lab fire with Jenner, Maddie (prob Madelis), and Cas (prob Cassandra)), could in part be a massive recruitment effort.]
Anyway, I think the only hope for Ren in the upcoming raid is what I mentioned before, about how he is somehow integral to Team Xen's overarching plans, as per renegade 13.5. My best guess is that these plans include using the energy emitted from a Xenpurgis rampage in GDC to fulfill the dark prophecy, using "the four shadows" mentioned on the Absol Statue back in Blacksteeple to bring back Storm-9.
The shadows that shade the earth shall be known in the end. The one of raw evil, the one of obsession, the one of betrayal, and the one of greed. These four shall see the world be lost forever.
We don't have enough information to definitively say who the one of raw evil, obsession, or greed could be. But betrayal? It fits Ren. In the scene where he is first "hired" or whatever and meets Madame X, I feel like this idea is pretty spoon-fed to us.
MADAME X: Have you brought him? The one I've detailed. NASTASIA: Yes. Please, come forth. Introduce yourself. REN: …Hello, Ma'am. My name is Ren. NASTASIA: Ren used to be comrades with [player] and the rest. But based on what he's told me, if accurate, would display the attributes of the one we're looking for. MADAME X: And just why would one of [player]'s comrades want to betray them?
I mean, the word "betray" is explicitly used here.
On Nastasia: Yes. Absolutely. She's strong as hell, but she can't stand up alone to Madame X. Like you said, her powers can only go so far. After all, presumably, her body and soul are in the control of Madame X as well.
In general, Nastasia is an absolutely fascinating character imo... and I have a feeling the Ren might not be the only double agent working for Xen. Nastasia is "the woman who sacrificed everything for the one who loved her." I think we can say with 99.999999% certainty that she is the grown up version of little Anastasia, Katsu's daughter. Out of all the Execs, she seems to be the most devoted to Madame X. That tracks if Madame X is somehow tied to Maria, or is Maria herself. Is Anastasia, by working for her, possibly trying to save Madame X/Maria from herself? Is Madame X/Maria perhaps even being controlled by a darker force, and "unbound soul" like Vitus? In that way, is Nastasia still the little girl trying to reach her best friend?
All this to say I think Nastasia may be more on our side than we think. She is seemingly the most devoted Xen Exec, yet she has gone on multiple dangerous, rogue missions--including one that really did nothing but aid our side--helping Aelita get to the Spring of Rejuvenation and saving the lives of Venam, Erin, Allen, and Alice. She clearly knows that Ren is a double agent, and she hasn't ratted him out (or, possibly, she has ratted him out and Madame X simply does not care, because with Xen having completely control over his soul and body, he can still be used to fulfill his purpose, regardless). There's the fact that Nastasia, an apparent wunderkind with machines and technology, "missed" the fact that the Sigils in Blacksteeple were being sabotaged by Nancy (something Melia immediately noticed). And there's the fact that she clearly trusts and loves Ren (in a maternal way, I think), cheering him up, helping him sneak out of HQ in his actual body. You know, usual mother-son activities. But yeah, I guess the point I'm getting at here is that I could see Nastasia doing her darndest to protect Ren, maybe even sacrificing herself to do so, but I don't think that would be enough to save him, with the level of control Xen has over the both of them at this point.
Back to Ren, there's another things that's been bothering me: the whole twin prophecy with Reina. I have... thoughts... about this. I def could see it playing out exactly how Reina expects: one twin (Ren) fights for the destruction of the world (likely against his will), and the other (Reina) fights to save it. But another part of me (that's read way too many thrillers) feels like this is too cut and dry, and that this presumption is going to be flipped on its head. Let's say Ren does die in the upcoming raid, and he dies fighting to save the world. What if... destroying the world, following Madame X's plan, would undo his death somehow? What if it would save him, or bring him back? We know that souls get recycled in this universe, after all. Would Reina consider switching sides to bring him back? That would be a betrayal, for sure. And that would also play into the whole Life is Strange moral quandary pervasive throughout the game--save the one you love, or the lives of millions? This would also fulfill the prophecy, but in a way that we do not necessarily expect. Because otherwise, I feel like this prophecy is pretty superfluous. By the time we hear it, we already know that Ren is Xen [hehe], so what new information does it really present?
Anyway, yeah, um, thank you so much for the ask! Sorry for the long winded response. There's way too many theories about this game bouncing around in my brain and it's nice to have an outlet for it. Thank you for your support on my art, it really means the world to me! Particularly since you're so talented yourself<3

don't know how you feel about them but for headcanons... chrissy and eddie would've definitely been such a sweet couple! chirssy would 110% be a slow dnd learner but she'd do it for eddie and eventually become a crucial member of the hellfire club and maybe even help him dm! she'd definitely go through his music tapes, even if she doesn't love them all, and eddie would come to every sort of game to see chrissy cheer and go to prom with her even though he thinks it's dumb just to see her smile :) okay carry on
LISTEN this is everything to me, I am so very upset that we were robbed of this adorable pairing in canon. I'm such a sucker for that whole opposites attract vibe, and their short little scenes together really showcased how powerful and sweet and wonderful that dynamic can be.
I feel like there'd be a really awkward period at the start, y'know? Because they come from different circles and are both super well known in the school for very different reasons. Chrissy would probably be ostracized; at the very least, her friends would feel weird around her. Can you imagine the sorts of things they've probably said about Eddie? They'd be shocked. And that's when she starts hanging around Hellfire, because Eddie is there and in those first days he is really the only person she feels comfortable around.
But I doubt the D&D'ers are without their own prejudices. I mean, they've likely all been picked on by Chrissy's crowd, so they feel a little wary around her. Eddie assures her that everything is going to be okay. He even stays up late with her to help her build her character (she'd be a sorcerer; I cannot explain why she just gives me that vibe) and teach her how to play. He makes up little starter campaigns for her that they do together, just the two of them, and sure she doesn't get all of it, but it's a distraction from how weird her life feels on all fronts and she loves how excited Eddie gets when he's showing her the ropes. They listen to his music and drink cheap beer and play into the night and she's honestly so, so happy.
When Eddie brings her to the club for her first official campaign, everyone still isn't quite sure of her, and that makes her nervous, which makes her mess up more than a few times. It's Dustin and Mike and Lucas who come to her defense, because they know what it feels like to be the odd ones out and they want her to feel included. Dustin specifically becomes one her fiercest advocates, because he loves Eddie and Eddie loves Chrissy, which means that Dustin loves Chrissy, too. She becomes like a big sister to him. It's all very cute.
And when Chrissy starts to settle into this new normal, she absolutely drags Eddie into school dances and volunteering him for planning committees, and while none of it is quite his thing, he loves seeing her in her element, and he wants to be there every step of the way. He starts planning Hellfire Club meetings around the sports schedules because you bet your ass he's going to be at every basketball and football game to watch her cheer. When the sound system at the homecoming dance craps out, Eddie's the one to fix it, because Chrissy's on the homecoming court and he wants to make sure that everything goes perfectly for her.
Oh, and when Eddie tells Chrissy that his number one goal is to graduate? She makes a full plan to get him in that cap and gown. We're talking study sessions, late night cramming, Saturdays in the library. She quizzes him on the ride to school and, when she helps him write D&D campaigns, she sneaks in schoolwork without him even noticing - a literary reference here, a quadratic equation there (Dustin notices and appreciates the academic tenor of the campaigns, of course, especially when Chrissy is sneaking in science facts to make sure they stick in Eddie's brain before the big test).
I COULD GO ON FOREVER, GOD WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN.

I was scrolling by and I saw you like romance novels, I would’ve never thought. It’s cute. What trope do you like the most?
I’m very into romance/erotica books myself and I love books about love, and this is me rambling on about stuff you probably don’t care about. I am nothing but a curious creature.
Tumblr media
I don't see why this is a burning question, but I'll answer it.
Like I said, it's a guilty pleasure. I'll explain what's shitty first—it's impossible not to mention this anyway. The further in the Walls you shop for books, the crazier those kinds of stories become. I think I've mentioned this before... but the most glaring kind is women who fall in love with damaged but attractive men whose dark secret is their ability to Titanize. I could've sworn I was reading that shit wrong, so I flipped through one of those filthy books and it seems like the woman either gets the Titan to change his ways by the end, or he's cured. More rarely, the Titan is a woman... the man is usually a soldier or something, and their love is forbidden. In that case the soldier finds her so disgusting she goes out of her way to cure herself, and it's all the same. I'd collect all these just to get them off the shelves, but it's a waste of money and matches.
Besides the obvious disgusting fact, books in Sina like those tend to have strange... quirks. They always end up married by the end, and with a couple kids. Not that it's bad thing or anything... but it gets old since it happens every time.
The pairing is always between a man and a woman. Variations are more rare in real life, sure... but... this is fiction, isn't it? What's stopping these authors from writing one damn story? Considering the cash they rake in from writing about fucking Titans, it wouldn't hurt their bottom-line, would it?
It'd be annoying to get further into that, and I'm already way off track from what this whole question was about, so forget it.
Maybe you two could help with this. Certain ways characters interact are confusing. It seems like the love interests... especially the man, doesn't treat the woman with decency. I mean lies... or manipulating the situation so she'll end up with him, and the most confusing part is that she eventually agrees. Or... as you said Morgyn, an erotic scene appears from nowhere. The woman might object, but it goes on each time when she's convinced in some way. By that point I've stopped reading.
I'm not an expert, and books including that aren't my thing, but that kind of shit makes no sense to me.
I avoid tragic endings. They're too depressing. Petra is one of those people who obsess over romance stories, so if I'd ask her how an ending—vaguely—goes, and she'll answer. She acts embarrassed when we talk about that sort of thing, but she's my best source of information, so, I have to endure those conversations.
No idea why she gets embarrassed. Of spoiling the ending, if I had to guess. There's Erwin, surprisingly... but it's somehow more awkward to ask him.
Love triangles are a waste of time... but I'll read them if the plot makes up for it. People who've known each other forever—as friends, coworkers, or so on—and are too stupid to realize their feelings for each other... and drag this out through the whole story irritate me. It's a constant pain. My opinion changes if they have other obstacles. Or completely opposite, I like reading about strangers who meet and were... somehow bound to be together, as they navigate conflict that tests their bond.
Despite what I said earlier... forbidden relationships in general aren't bad. Enemies who find common ground, and get attached. And then, one who has no choice but to make an enemy out of the other again despite everything they feel going against that—that fake betrayal. Some battle happens, and the "enemy" ends up injuring the other before coming to their senses. That's the best trope to me.
I ended up rambling too, Morgyn. Don't assume I don't care.
...And thanks for the tea, Milan.

Ethics and morality... and how they're not the same...
Weird title, and I don't even know if I'll properly approach this one with all the topics I wish to this discuss in today's The Devil Judge essay, because a lot of things peaked my interest, I was debating on doing a separate post for each subject, but I'll do them all in here:
Starting simple
I know we're only 4 episodes in, but I want to break down the things that I often look for in a new show:
Cinematography
Soundtrack
Character building
Plot devices
Social commentary (sometimes)
Of course, these are things most people would consider basics, but I find that a lot of TV shows don't have enough balance in them. Also, cinematography and soundtrack are pretty up there for me because when a plot gets slow, or something like that, I stay for those two (biggest example: King Eternal Monarch).
The soundtrack in The Devil Judge is amazing and the cinematography can be a character of its own. They really get me hooked and are used as tools to properly tell a story. And I'll get into that further down this post.
The onlooker will never understand the actor
Experience is your best friend not only applies to job hunting, but it's true in the real world too. You can't truly weigh in on something unless you've experienced it yourself, you can give it your judgment and everything, but when bad things happen to someone, you'll never truly understand their pain. Am I bringing up because of the difference of mind in Judge Kang and Judge Kim's opinions? On how the public treated the minister's son? No. I'm talking about a very specific scene, where the cinematography told me to think that way and not the dialogue (it's that easy for my mind to be swayed). In episode 3, when the rich are about to dine right after the foundation's commercial for a better future, we see this aerial shot:
Tumblr media
What's interesting about this? The seclusion and the enclosed feeling it conveys as a counterpart to the poverty shots we were just shown. Yet, these are the people making ads for a better future, what do they know?
They live comfortably behind concrete walls with no windows to see what goes on apart from the bubble they live in. This idea is further enforced at the party in episode 4, where they're not even a part of the donations, and watch and mock from afar as spectators. Yet, these people call the shots. They even call it commenting, as if they were watching the pain of others on TV.
The intriguing personality and the duality it encites
Now, this was a costume and wardrobe decision, but it was also very well thought of:
Tumblr media
Judge Kim wears white and Judge Kang wears black. One is morally perceived by viewers of the show as morally good and the other is perceived as morally dubious at best. However, besides the costume and wardrobe thought put into this, we also have to think about the delivery of this scene and how it may further affect my detailing of this section. Judge Kang brings down the coats, and hangs over the coat to Judge Kim, he's the one who is making that annotation: You're pure, I'm tainted. This can have one of two interpretations:
Either Judge Kang believes Judge Kim to be pure and innocent due to his status as a rookie in the field
Or he believes Judge Kim to be morally white and himself morally black as he's looking at his brother's face and not at Judge Kim's heart.
Because most of the back story we're unveiling is through Judge Kim's perception, there's also an inherit bias we're having as well, because in Judge Kim narrative, he believes he's doing what's right and believes Judge Kang to be evil. In being served information about Judge Kang through Judge Kim's eyes, our bias is inherently skewed.
Another thing is that, when they put on the coat, they're standing in front of the other, as if the producers of this series are telling us they're two sides of the same coin.
The duality is made in more deceitful ways, which include:
A difference of classes that implies one has suffered while the other has not.
A difference of experience that implies one is more tainted while the other is pure.
A difference of age that implies one is a sly fox while the other one is is bunny about to be eaten.
A difference of temper that makes one erratic and the other logical.
Power dynamics
This one, in this one I could make a whole thesis based on just a couple of scenes in the drama. And you know I have to mention it: director Jung being the puppeteer.
Tumblr media
It may not be as unexpected at first, nevertheless it brings forward a lot of things I've wished to touch upon for quite some time now. A woman being a puppeteer of an old man in the portrayed dystopia that The Devil Judge is painting makes much more sense than more common demonstrations of these dynamics where it's either a:
A man of power being controlled by a bigger man of power.
A man of power being controlled by a seemingly man of a lower status.
A woman being controlled by a man of power.
Although, there's nothing wrong with those power dynamics, and if they were to be used, a message could also be conveyed, this one in particular works as a megaphone.
A subversion of power in such a way can be interpreted as a true indication of the weak overcoming the powerful. Why? It is not that woman are naturally weaker than men, but that in society, patriarchy has been a big factor in taking voice away from women in order to give it to men.
In order for Director Jung to achieve her purposes, it's smarter for her to do it under the pretense that an old rich man in power is the one calling the shots.
This is better exemplified by her stance when the old man tries to excuse his behavior, and what her moral compass is. I'm not saying I agree with her unethical conduct, but that her morality is directly impacted by the perception of the public of her as a weak woman:
Just because a dog bites a human does the person get dirty?
This is telling on how she perceives the actions of the old man in gropping the waitress. She didn't do anything wrong, even if you touched her, you are the dirty one.
While she's evil, it's a refreshing and deep evil.
The public's opinion and how there's actually logic in the show's portrayal
The public opinion can make or break a person, even if it's not on a public trial like this. While "cancel culture" barely works in today's society, a person's reputation is forever tainted. The show does tell that, but it also exhibits the scary downside of it, by showing how easily it was to make people accept flaggelation as a fitting punishment.
Tumblr media
There are many experiments that have tried to test the effect of societal pressure on an individual's decision and the effect of the authority's enforcement of power in the outcome of these decisions. Furthermore, theories based on analysis of human behavior not necessarily relying on experiments can also help break this down. What do I mean? Here's a small attempt at explaining:
Milgram Experiment on Authority: which measured the individual willingness to carry out actions that go against their conscience due to an authority's approval.
Argument from Authority; The idea that people are more likely to use an authority's opinion on something as an argument for their reason. This is often seen in science, where trusted authorities have done the research and offer it to the public. In here, authority bias also plays a role, as we often believe, at first, that an authority must be right.
Moral disengagement: basically speaking, because this is evil or bad, I'm not part of it and I most probably am not actively participating in it. One may disengage by moral justification, which means that before engaging in something that has been previously perceived as immoral, I'm changing my stance on it based on what I tell myself to be logical arguments. This particular form of moral disengagement is very effective in changing the public opinion. I'll be touching on another form further down this post.
Other factors played a part, but these ones in particular came to mind when public flagelation as a form of corporeal punishment was wildly accepted. First, an authority is the one telling them it's correct, to go ahead. Secondly, another authority (the minister) had previously shown approval to such unusual punishment. Thirdly, they are not the ones to be engaging directly in the act, and even if they were, it would be acceptable because an authority has told them so. They may even believe the punishment to be a necessary evil for the greater good.
In fact, the minister's son was actually correct when pleading his case, they were accepting it because it wouldn't affect them directly.
Regarding the cinematographic descent of the public opinion regarding the situation can better be exemplified by the old man we've seen through the episodes.
Does suffering justify misdeeds?
Today I came along the difference between excuse and reason. You may give a reason for your behavior, but it doesn't excuse it.
Not because I've suffered through shit, means I have to make you suffer too.
I may explain myself, but it's on the other side to excuse me.
Why I hate the unreliable narrator and why I love it so much
This story has been told mostly through the eyes of Judge Kim and what he hears and sees regarding Judge Kang, if anything, the narrative is very close to that of the narrative we've seen in The Great Gatsby. An enigmatic man is being narrated to us from the eye of a man who hasn't known him for a long time.
Tumblr media
How is that an unreliable narrator? The narrator has their own set of bias and moral standards which function as lenses through which they see the world.
Another way of putting it would be the way teenage romances are often written in a first person narrative where either of the two teenagers is the narrator, so the author can sell to us something as simple as offering a pack of gum as the most romantic act on earth. We're perceiving interactions through rose tainted glasses.
In this case, we're seeing the interactions through Judge Kim's eyes who doesn't trust Judge Kang from the get go due to his own preset bias.
The narrative becomes even more unreliable as we're not exactly sure if what Judge Kang disclosed himself is a fact.
The reason why I love this narrative is because it leaves a lot of space to make simple plot twists to a narrative and make them seem grand, and can elongate a story without making it obvious.
The reason why I hate it is because sometimes, in tv shows mostly, we as viewers can see the other side of the story and grow increasingly frustrated with the main character's prejudice and misunderstandings (I'm looking at you my beloved Beyond Evil).
Also, because I have to wait for a long time before I actually have a clear picture of it.

Looking for a RP Partner for WinterBaron RP
I'm a piece of trash and I'm craving some RP where an experienced Dom Zemo shows inexperienced, masochistic Bucky the true ways of BDSM. Bonus drama because Zemo is Bucky's professor included. Replies do not need to be this long (I got carried away), and I'm happy to change/add AUs etc, but I wrote already a prompt to give you an idea of my writing style etc.
Feel free to get in touch here - though I usually RP on Discord or email! ViolencioRP#5741 & [email protected]
Thanks!
Helmut Zemo was a Baron. From all the things he needed to do in his life, working wasn't really one of them. And yet - he enjoyed teaching. He enjoyed research even more, but when he had the choice to go to a big Research University in one of the big cities or to pick a small Liberal Arts College somewhere in the middle of nowhere, he chose the later, certain to reach and to inspire more young minds.
However, even if Helmut Zemo was a professor by choice and by choice alone, there was one thing he certainly had in common with all other professors at his university: He had a life outside of it. Hobbies. Interests.
Unlike the other professors, his main interest laid in a specific kind of lifestyle. Two, three times a week he drove to The Hydra - a club known to like it a little bit... rougher. Loud music, the occasional cage dancers, a spanking bench where frat boys would pay someone to get their birthday age patted onto their bum with a paddle. Far more interesting though was the upstairs, where the real fun happened - only available to the few select private members and their guests.
Because of the frat boys, all being possibly his students, Zemo always ensured to wear a mask. pulling his coat up high before he disappeared into the safety of upstairs. Through the one way glass, he'd occasionally watch the scenes downstairs unfold, and once or twice he might have asked someone to invite someone up for him. But mostly, he just enjoyed his time upstairs, making use of the private Subs here when he so desired.
And truly, he thought it could stay that way forever. That was, until one day he caught a glimpse of James Barnes and his crew, apparently here to celebrate some occasion. He might have not thought about it much, but Barnes made quite a show to get spanked on his naked arse on the spank benches, and he did mar rather beautifully...
Not that Zemo even remembered that the next time he was teaching the boy in his Eastern European Philosophy class.
But then... James Barnes became somewhat of a regular. Without his crew, he returned the following weekend. And the week after. And... It was fun to watch, seeing the boy discover himself. It was fun, until it wasn't - until Zemo watched him interact with the wrong kinds of doms, watched him learn how to press the wrong kinds of buttons, pushing people into lashing out by being a brat instead of clearly communicating. Instead of being safe, sane, consensual, James Barnes apparently only was interested in getting slapped around and taking it rough.
Which was a pity, truly, because Subs this masochistic were rare, but this wasn't Zemo's problem. He shouldn't get involved - even if it wasn't his student, those were the kinds of experiences people should rather learn on their own.
Well. Until... Zemo had truly only wanted to go out into the back alley to take a fresh breath of air (and have a smoke). Instead of his usual peace and quiet (or some overeager couple engaging in fellatio), though, he heard the whimpering of one person - and the grunting of another. Which, truly, would not even be that concerning, if Zemo also didn't hear the whimpering voice constantly insisting for the other to stop.
Truly, Zemo was not surprised that when he circled the trashcans and stepped further into the alley, he found Brock Rumlow, trying to force his cock into the mouth of some crying boy, clearly already decently roughed up. Maybe if Zemo would have taken a closer look he would have seen some blood - or recognised the kid, but he had little patience for anything involving Brock Rumlow.
With a trained hand to the man's throat, he pulled him away and whirled him around, his army training still coming in handy. "Leave.", he insisted calmly - and clearly, there was a bit of a backstory between the two. Rumlow cursed and spat, but tucked his cock away. "You fucking sissy, Zemo!", he yelled as he marched off, knowing this was not a fight worth picking. Not even for some cute twink.
Zemo sighed and shook his head, as he turned around to check on the boy the other man had left behind. "What a brute, really, makes a terrible name for all of u--", he started to say, but froze as he finally took a closer look of who he had just saved.
Fuck.

Bridgerton S2 episode 1 thoughts
I'm going to post this and then run away because I'm taking my time with the series and I dont' want to be spoiled (a fucking anon ruined me Black Sails once).
Under the cut for spoilers on Ep 1
It's quite known that The Viscount who Loved Me is my fav book of the series, closely followed by Romancing Mr Bridgerton. Anthony is by far my fav Bridgerton, and Kate is a close second only to Penelope. So I have lots of feelings about this one. I already hated a lot of things on S1, but I decided that I'll walk into this one determined to enjoy what is basically a fanfiction version of Kate and Anthony
And I really enjoyed episode 1. While not the same, I think they did a great job in showing the essence of Anthony and Kate using other elements
I really enjoyed how they chose to show Anthony's commitment to the title and his family, and how much he honors that commitment. those tiny snippets of him addressing his responsibilities while sleeping around were on point. AND THE CLOCK OMG THE CLOCK. They could have tone it down a bit with him interviewing the debutantes, but let's face it, book Anthony would have probably done that.
I was bumped at the beginning when it seemed that Mary was Kate's biological mother, bc I really wanted the healthy stepmother /stepdaugther plot to be there so I was *ecstatic* that they included it. I loved the twist they gave it to put Kate, Mary and Edwina in the same dire straits they were on the book, but with a different edge. I also loved how they show Kate's devotion to Edwina and how they acknowledge Edwina's devotion to her family.
Their first meeting is #goals. I fucking love how they were able to recreate, in one scene, exactly how their relationship is going to be forever: which is basically Anthony and Kate in a battle of wits, manipulation and strength trying to one-up one another. It's who they are at the core, as a couple, who they are 15 years into their marriage manipulating each other and their servants. It's SO them and I loved it. Also, they were SO into each other it's a miracle he didn't follow her up to debauch her
I also loved how we were spared from Sienna making a live appearance and Kate finding him with another woman and got thje eavesdropping follow by a conversation instead. It sets a good stage for their rivalry and it will explain her opposing the match
I don't mind the project idea of a triangle, because it was, somehow, a triangle in the book. Anthony seeked out to court Edwina and he did, and Edwina let herself be courted. I'm not happy about the so called sparks and the tiny moment on the father's death, but we all know it's not goign to last. I can live with this as long as they don't show Edwina as interested, bc we all know that is the moment Kate would back out. But we'll see after I see more. I might be ranting and screaming in the next episode.
I love that they made Kate 26 and slightly older as I think it balances Anthony so much better
Violet's happiness about Anthony wanting to get married followed directly by her "you're not getting the ring unless you fall in love". The feelings. all the feelings.
I can understand what they are trying to do with Eloise, setting the stage for all the years she didn't get married, but I'm not sure I'm convinced by it. Eloise was much more poised in the books (or at least, I felt her that way)
I do love that we get tidbits of her and Pen's friendship through the years... it's hard to see Penelope at this stage of her life, because she is having a terrible time and you want to protect her and tell her good things are comign her way... can we fastforward to 10 years when she is happy and collected and good with her life and Colin sweeps her of her feet? please? I need Penelope to be happy NOW
I really don't care about Benedict. I didn't in the books and I don't in here. So your mistress ditch you, big deal. He's a fuckboy disguised as a tortured artist.... (sorry Ben, it is what it is)
Newton was the delight we all knew he would be
Where's Felicity? WE CANNOT HAVE A SEASON 4 WITHOUT FELICITY. We need Felicity to be there with the knowing smiles about Colin and Penelope much like Edwina was with Anthony and Kate. JUSTICE FOR FELICITY
That being said, the Featheringtons continue to be the best thing that happened to this show. Seriously their wardrobe is the best, Polly Walker fucking rocks and that entire household brings their A-game on each scene they are. Power to the Featheringtons
I enjoyed episode 1. Not like the books, but the spirit is there and I can live with that. for now. ;More to come as I continue to watch the following episodes.
I dread the moment Colin comes back and they throw Pen under the bus again
PSA: I'm going to turn off anon asks for now, as I really want to avoid a jackass spoiling me

Just finished watching To All the Boys I've Loved Before: Always and Forever! Now I can't stop listening to Beginning Middle and End! Sigh, it's perfect for hopeful romantics like you and me.
Tumblr media
Also it was my first time to attend a watch party via Scener, thank you for the invite, AJ sist!!! Am happy we got to hang out again even through a virtual movie date. Someday we'll attend film festivals when the pandemic is over, looking forward to the day cinemas open again!!
Tumblr media
Time flies indeed. I just finished reading TATBILB book 3 on May 11, 2020 and I couldn't wait for the movie to come out and now it's here!! (Trivia: I shortlisted 30+ books during Big Bad Wolf 2020 but could only afford seven books. So I got six nonfiction (as a nonfic junkie) and only one novelthis was that novel.)
I'm glad it showed that love shouldn't hinder the pursuit of dreams; and they can grow together (both as individuals and as a couple) even when they're miles apart. I've seen people do that. One of my favourite power couples studied at Harvard and UPenn respectively, and their relationship made it. They're now happily married and I'm so happy for them. Relationships like these are goals :))
Tumblr media
I can't help but compare the book with the film, but I enjoyed the movie in itself, too. 🥰
Some changes:
It rushed the proposal to Trina;
It totally simplified the promposal to Lara Jean;
It didn't show the initial conflict between Margot and Trina
It didn't show Stormy's passing (would have been a really sad scene huhu) and Lara Jean meeting John Ambrose again.
Lara Jean also gave the memory box instead of making a scrapbook.
Peter didn't give her the best tasting cookie in New York, but it's good she tried it herself.
The film also didn't show the conflict between Lara Jean and Peter's mom.
But if there's a change I liked, it's that Peter told Lara Jean their first ever meeting through the dedication he wrote on their yearbook. In the book, Peter wrote a really short dedication (and Peter gave Lara a hot photo of him so she could post it on her dorm room haha).
I also liked the little film surprise that Kitty had a happy crush on Dae!
Oh and of course, the major changes include the schools. And I actually liked it. Though the book has beautifully captured the campus of the University of Virginia, the plan B with William and Mary, and the plot twist of University of North Carolina, I think changing them to Stanford, Berkeley and NYU made it more relatable to a worldwide audience because they're more globally well-known.
Tumblr media
Overall, it's a film that gives you all the feels while at the same time excites you to dream big. It tackles hard topics as well such as dealing with grief and growing up in a broken family.
I felt the bittersweet feeling when a trilogy or series that you love has ended.
I could relate with Lara Jean a lot, especially on the first movie when she never had a boyfriend yet and she was just writing letters. I love letters! And I never had a boyfriend, until today. Never been kissed, never had an MU or whatever haha. Though on the dreaming side, I could relate more with Margot. I'm a huge dreamer and I want to see the world. As for Kitty, I see the little me in her. Mataray, doesn't sugarcoat. But growing up, I've become more of Lara Jean with my quirks and very sentimental self. I'm also a daydreamer like her, and an idealist. Oh and, I'm a homebody! Give me books and movies and they'll be my date haha. Am a hopeful romantic. Although, I don't bake. But I make scrapbooks since I was a kid. I put art in everything I do. And I also wore literal gift ribbons on my ponytail in highschool haha. I hope, like Lara Jean, I find my Peter K someday (or actually, John Ambrose haha). But not anytime soon. Because unlike LJ, I think I want to pursue my master's degrees (yes, plural, that's the plan hahhah and yet here I am not even applying to any school so far) as a single woman haha. Well maybe unless I meet someone who can change how I feel, someone who will not hold me back from reaching my dreams, in as much as I will not hold him back from reaching his. But until then, it's best to be single haha! As a solo traveller, there are still so many countries to see on my own. Okay I'm daydreaming now hahaha!
Tumblr media
Thank you, TATBILB and Jenny Han for giving us LJ and Peter K. Thank you for the feels and the pastel aesthetic and the great soundtrack. Thank you for introducing me to Leah Nobel's music!! (Am now in love with Coffee Sunday NYT and Talking to the Dog at the Party, aside from Beginning, Middle, and End!)
I wish I saw more of Josh Sanderson, though (I had a second-lead syndrome during the first film!! And I loved John Ambrose, too. Jordan Fisher is one of the best)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And thank you for making me want to go back to New York because clearly I have only seen less than 0.1% of it :(
Tumblr media
I love how you captured a glimpse of NYC's splendor in just a few minutes! Of all the places you showed, it was only Times Square that I've seen in real life. But in time, will be back, experience the city, taste the same cookie Lara tasted—the best cookie in the world. And more. I'm daydreaming again haha! Here's a little selfie I had five years ago at Broadway 😄
Tumblr media
For now, will take a break as my Dad and I are scheduled to watch Godfather II after dinner : ) Someday I will take him around the world!!! Amen in Jesus' Name <3
Omg I was just typing this and then Dad told me stories (right now) about his dreams to travel the world and we're going to places for lovers or astronomy. He's one big astronomy junkie, I tell you.
Who needs a date when I have the best date in the world, my Dad!!
Advance happy Valentine's Day, world changers!!

songs I'd like to assign to the glee kids (part I)
Note: I'm pretty well known for making playlists and more playlists, and ever since seeing this post by @cracktastic about assigning, for the 100th episode, the least expected song to the least expected character, I've found myself craving to hear specific characters sing specific songs.
(I've also started another separate list to add on to that post I mentioned, but that will be a post for another day)
So after going through my music library, I came up with a small list of songs for each character that I would love to hear them sing, for various reasons, which i'll do my best to explain.
This got really long really fast, because I like to get into meta and over analyze - I'm also just very passionate about music. For that reason, I'll do 5 songs at a time for a specific character, and I'll be putting a read more.
Also, please be gentle with me - I've watched Glee a year ago, and it's entirely possible I may be missing or confusing scenes and storylines in my head. If I do, let me know!
If you read this and find yourself thinking of songs and scenarios as well, do share them with me! I'm working on actual Spotify Playlists as well.
So let's get into it -
for Kurt Hummel
> Re: Stacks by Bon Iver
"This is not the sound of a new man
or crispy realization
It's the sound of the unlocking and the lift away
Your love will be
Safe with me"
This is probably one of my favorite songs ever, and I first thought about it for Kurt after realising how beautiful his voice would sound in it, because of its crystal clear and poised quality. (I liked it so much I included it in a scene on my fanfic too).
If you don't know Bon Iver, or the history of this song, it's the last track in an album full of more..."depressing" songs. It's also the one that has a throughout tone of hope, of recovery after a hard ordeal, of taking some first steps to a better place.
I imagine it would be a good song for him around the time he meets Blaine - when the Karovsky situation is nearly over, and he starts looking back on his school year - Burt's heart attack, the bullying - and, now with Blaine in his life, and a renewed self confidence, he's finally able to confidently step into a better phase of his life and heal from all he went through.
I see this one being sung in a quiet moment of reflection, when he's alone. Maybe in the choir room, or even outdoors in a nice garden. In my fanfic I wrote it in a different context, in Blaine's room at night, so I guess that works in my head too.
***
> Enchanted by Taylor Swift
"I'm wonderstruck
Blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you"
I'm very fascinated with Kurt's whole storyline in S2 - things start off so rough for him, but when Blaine comes along, and when Kurt is able to grow and shift more and assuming the person he really is, things start looking up. I chose this song for what it promises, and also because I can imagine it in Kurts lower singing register and it seems like a good one for him. Also, yes, I was a kid who owned Speak Now. Sue me.
This song is about first meeting someone very special, and that happens to be the beginning of Klaine. With the almost whispered lyrics, the slowly crescent ambiance and rhythm, it really encapsulates the feeling of everything stopping when you lay eyes in that one special person, and the flooding rush of emotions that happens right after.
Kurt had no idea how much an unsuspecting visit to a rival show coir school would change his life, even less in the midst of the situation he was in. It also seems fitting for Kurt and his early relationship with Blaine because of some specific lyrics ("This is me praying now / This was the very first page / Not where the storyline ends"). Enchanted tells the story of a special first meeting, and hints at something special to come, from the perspective of someone who is awestruck for someone.
Like the one above, this one would fit in early S2, possibly in EP6, after Kurt and Blaine's meeting at Dalton Academy. When he's back home, alone in his room, daydreaming, or when he's back at McKinley in that same afternoon.
***
> Gonna Get Over You by Sara Bareilles
"Oooh, how am I gonna get over you? I'll be alright, just not tonight But someday. Hey, I wish you'd want me to stay I'll be alright, just not tonight"
My main reason for choosing this one is because I think it fits very very well with Kurt's voice, and musical taste - its a very vibrant and poppy song, despite the more depressing theme - a post breakup promise of getting over it.
I first thought of it for S4, soon after the Breakup™, but paying close attention to the lyrics (I do tend to get stuck on just the melody sometimes), it makes more sense to place this on during the S6 Breakup - when Kurt finds out about Blaine dating Karovsky, after deciding he wants Blaine back.
So it's a hard situation for him, as we see from his breakdown in the bathroom (poor Kurt!), and he really has to come to terms with the mistakes he made (and the mistakes they both made as a couple), pick himself up, and move on.
I imagine this one being sung during an outing with Rachel, when she's trying to cheer him up and lift him up a little from his depression. My brain readily produces an image of a sunny street or a shopping mall that the two of them walk through, Kurt with some nice vivid colored clothes, finally being able to smile and ready to perhaps start moving on, or at least ready to start considering he will be okay.
***
> Killer Queen by Queen
"She keeps her Moet et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
"Let them eat cake", she says
Just like Marie Antoinette"
This song just reminds me of Kurt. It's one of my all time favorites from Queen, and ever since watching Glee, these two are just connected in my mind. Voice wise, Kurt could definitely handle it.
It's apparently about a "high class prostitute"(? Freddie's word's, not mine), but still paints a pretty and dainty picture, and you can almost picture a porcelain faced lady in her best clothes, delicately smoking a cigarette. It also contains words that probably only Kurt can pronounce out of everyone in the glee club.
Many Queen songs were sung on Glee, but I don't think there was ever a Queen episode. For this one, I suggest a headcanon scenario, maybe during S3, when Mr. Shuester decides to have a Queen week - and Kurt isn't known for going with the obvious choices. He wants to be classy, edgy and impressive, and he sings in front of everyone, half in the choir room, half in the auditorium, perhaps with some fancy decoration and dancers behind him.
***
> The Answer by Kodaline
"You might think you found the one
Until your heart gets ripped and torn
Yeah, I used to feel bad, I used to feel like that
I still feel a bit like that"
This is another one that I picked immediately solely based on Kurt's voice - I really do like his voice with just a quiet, discrete instrumental. Looking into it further, I decided it could really work for Kurt's character.
I didn't go very deep into the intended meaning of the song, because it definitely has space for different interpretations. I choose to go with the breakup one. These lyrics here reminded me a little of the S4 breakup storyline - "We all fall down from the highest clouds / to the lowest ground" - makes me think how well Kurt's life was going once he arrived in New York, with the internship, his apartment situation with Rachel, a new and exciting place where he could freely be himself... and then he's completely blindsided by Blaine's cheating. He goes from being ecstatic and excited at Blaine's appearance, looking forward to share with him all the great things he just discovered, when Blaine's confession sends him to a well of despair, doubt and loneliness. The lyrics "You might think you found the one / until your heart gets ripped and torn" - reinforce the whole situation.
I can see him singing this not long after the breakup, on one more sleepless night, maybe walking alone through the streets of New York, or maybe in a montage of his busy daily routine, while he just gets through the day with a whole lot of emptiness weighing on his chest.

Flour Pawlace Series
Tumblr media
Order 14:
Blueberry and Carrot Cake
I'm sure that all of us hold dear events in our lives. Moments from the past that brings us peace, laughter or any other form of happiness. If you would ask me now, I will say, without a doubt that that day holds the highest spot within mine...!
I lost the count of how many times I fixed my tie. It wasn't like the mirror was going to show me anything different from the first twenty times. The truth was that even though I had baked so many treats for a ceremony of this kind, I never attended to one myself...
How I wished papa and mama would have been there to tell me everything was going to be alright. One look at their smiles from the picture on the wall gave the confidence I was looking for!
"You look fine. Let's go." Finnick's words also helped!
Even after securing the order on the back of his van I dared to ask if he didn't prefer for us to go in my car. He said he wouldn't trust me behind the wheel on my current state. I was indeed nervous, so I took his words once again and we were on our way!
The air stroke my fur in such a way it took me back to where it all began. Or at least near it. I can't really point the exact moment. Maybe after Nick returned from the police academy or at the concert Gazelle offered for the whole city!
Either it occurred way before or later on, I must confess I was secretly expecting it! From their very first day as partners, when they told me about that "hundred yard dash" sloth. Who knew they could actually be that fast!
Ever since, they shared so many of their adventures together. Like that time Chief Bogo disappeared! Thank goodness he was alright. And I can't deny every time I felt something. It was a familiar feeling that it only became stronger with each one of their visits!
A bond I thought I was never going to see again. Not after mama and papa...
I never felt so good about being wrong in my entire life! And with as much excitement I baked that cake! Aiming to mix not only those different yet well known flavors, but all those feelings as well!
Tumblr media
Same cake that was on the back of a van on its way to deliver it! Finnick was rather quiet however, and that would only meant one thing. He was as nervous as I was, he was just better at hiding it!
It actually surprised me when I was told he was the one that was going to help me. I mean, I like to think we are friends, we just don't see each other that much. After all we met under "peculiar" circumstances. Let's just say I like him better on a black suit than on the elephant one!
It's always a funny story that never fails to make him smile, and that time wasn't the exception! Which was another wonderful thing about the union we were about to celebrate. Even being as different as we are, our friends never failed to bring together the best of two worlds!
Once we reached our destination, Finnick disappeared among all the mammals gathered there, saying he needed to check on 'someone'. I didn't mind since I was able to set up everything with the help of a certain bunny couple!
I think Mr. Hopps was as nervous as me. Luckily, Mrs. Hopps was there to calm him down like always. I still remember the day I met them at that fair I was invited to in Bunnyburrow. You should have seen their expressions when they found out about their daughter's relationship!
It wasn't easy, but they accepted it eventually, recognizing that Judy's choices have opened their eyes more than once in the past! They knew better than mistrusting her by now! Just like when they started to work with Gideon!
A lovely acquaintance from Judy's childhood that struggles as much as me with the youngsters of her family whenever they start to ask if we are a couple because we are both bakers. They are adorable!
I do wish he was able to be there and experienced with his own eyes what we all saw. The moment the Hopps welcomed a fox to be part of their already big family...!
Tumblr media
The ceremony was a success! And I was glad that my tears weren't the only ones shared when they both looked at each other in that heart melting way...!
I was as nervous as excited when they cut the cake. Gladly, I was embraced by the joy of everyone around me! Judy's parents, Nick's mom, even Finnick was smiling! And many others!
They both were soon congratulated by all of their fellow officers. The chief included and of course Benji as well! Although, he might have been more excited about the cake! He's the sweetness thing!
I didn't want to keep him waiting, but I was already quite busy delivering all of the extra treats to every member of the Hopps family. Fortunately, a single scene turned my exhaustion into happiness...!
Truth is it never ceases to amaze me how well Mrs. Wilde and Judy got along from the very first time they met! Unlike the Hopps, I guess the two of them have more things in common besides being rather fond of a certain fox.
And there they were, exchanging smiles, laughs and hugs as if they knew each other since forever! You may think that I cried after that, and you won't be mistaken, but how could I not? After all I never saw Mrs. Wilde as proud of her son as when he became a police officer...
After enduring the unthinkable and overcoming so many obstacles and still being able to smile at each other as big as ever, I think that's the same feeling that runs through my body. So proud!
And I believe I made it quite clear when I ran to them before Judy threw the bouquet! I couldn't help myself! These two have taught me so much already! Just like mama and papa. Whether we want to believe it or not, the impossible happens all the time...
Tumblr media
I could never say that is an easy task, but as long as you hold close those who bring you happiness and never give up on what you love, the road is surely to be easier to walk on. And that's how much they have inspired me!
Who knows what the future has in store for me?
No one really, but at least I know where I want to be! After all, a good friend once told me: "The change starts with you."
Never stop working to fulfil your dreams, no matter what anyone tells you. "Never let them see that they get you." As another wise friend said.
Now the day is about to be over, but I was visited by a certain couple with what possibly be their biggest adventure yet!
I can't barely contain my joy! However, I must admit, that now I want to be the one that lives those adventures instead of just telling the stories...
Maybe one day I'll find my soulmate as well and then I'll have a new tale to tell! But for the time being, I wish to Judy, Nick, and all of you the best of luck...!
Until next time, loves! If you happen to feel down one day, remember that the Flour Palace will always be there for you...!
After all...
Tumblr media
"Everyone deserves a bit of sugar on their day..."
Notes:
So we reached the conclusion of this little story. I did cover the events of the whole movie. however since I published it as a "WildeHopps" story a bit of imagination was needed for the last chapter and epilogue! ^///^
Thank you so much for coming along on this little adventure! And special thanks to the artists! Until next time, loves! :3

the entire one shot is based on this shot of the solis family dancing together at the wedding cause it's my favorite scene from the whole scene??? yeah lol you thought you were on a bnha book/blog, you didn’t expect so many desperate housewives stuff, right 🤷🏻‍♀️
Sometimes we walk hand in hand by the sea,
and we breathe in the cool salty air.
You turn to me with a kiss in your eyes,
then my heart feels a thrill beyond compare.
When Kirishima was in the 1-A class, his sensei invited a hero that could see in the future. One perk of this quirk was that the hero could also show what he was seeing to the others. The students were allowed to ask any question they wanted, even though the hero could refuse to show them. Most of the students decided that they didn't want to know anything ; maybe in 10 years, they will be dead because of a fight during a hero mission, right ?
But Kirishima had a much brighter idea. ''Will I get kids ?'' He asked. The hero showed him ; one boy and one girl, having his natural black hair, and they seemed rather young. They were dancing with him, and that's when he noticed ; the vision also showed the mom. And it was the one and only (Y/N) (L/N), the girl Kirishima already liked.
''I'm going to have kids with (Y/N) ?'' He muttered. ''But crybaby hates kids.'' Bakugou commented. And yeah, 'crybaby' was the girl's nickname. ''I know...'' Kirishima answered, still staring at the vision. He took a video of it, so he won't forget about it. (Y/N), the mother of his children, and those two, dancing all together. ''Where are we ?'' He asked the hero. ''At a wedding. I won't say whose wedding, though.''
Then your lips cling to mine.
It's wonderful, wonderful.
Oh, so wonderful, my love.
Kirishima decided not to tell the girl, in case she would be scared and avoid him. And the hero say it himself ‘this future still can change'. So, he decided to keep the video of his future family, and not to force the girl to date him. Things would've happened whenever they wanted, so the future won't be changed. The boy didn't even check the future ever again ; so he still didn't know, nowadays, if he was going to be with (Y/N) forever, or if they were going to have another child.
And actually, things worked out well, since they ended up dating. Kirishima asked her out during a party at the dorms, but he didn't expect her to agree, at all. However, for everyone else, it was obvious that she had developed a crush on him too. Indeed, she fell in love with him later than he had with her, but everyone was happy for them when they finally started to date.
Once, they were late to class (they had missed the whole morning) because they had decided to sleep together, and had forgotten to put on their alarms. They got house duties for 5 days ; students weren't supposed to share their dorms. They had just spent those days joking with each other and goofing around, so it was a win-win.
Sometimes we stand on the top of a hill,
and we gaze at the earth and the sky.
I turn to you and you melt in my arms,
there we are, darling, only you and I.
They actually kept dating in high school, and even after they graduated. They were 20. As they started to work as sidekicks, they already became quite famous. (Y/N) was known to be a scary hero, because of how serious she looked while fighting. Moreover, her quirk was kind of intimidating, and many villains didn’t want to face her, already. But, when she was with Kirishima, she was the cutest person he had ever seen.
After their days of work, they liked to just lay on their couch or their bed, and cuddle for hours until it was time to eat. They would talk about their day, get each other a massage -since Kirishima had made that a tradition- and giggle together. Of course they were fighting sometimes, but it was really complicated to find a reason to be mad at the boy.
When they became pro heroes, they moved in only together -since they had moved in with Bakugou and Mina as well, after high school- and Kirishima had chosen an house with extra rooms. ‘’Why for ? You know I don’t want kids.’’ (Y/N) had said. But her boyfriend smiled at her. ‘‘No worries ! There’s an extra room for your artistic stuffs and one room in case we’re having a huge party and people have to sleep here !’’ Well, he was a party guy, so (Y/N) didn’t mind it. And they were getting paid very well, so they could afford a big house.
What a moment to share,
It's wonderful, wonderful.
Oh, so wonderful, my love.
They were really young when they married, since they were 22/23. Actually, (Y/N) didn’t expect it at all. They were having dinner together -Kirishima was planning dates actually quite often- and once they were back home, Kirishima proposed. The former Bakusquad was at their house, throwing flowers and playing music so it would be a wonderful proposal. (Y/N) had laughed, agreeing without even thinking. They had started to date at 16, why would she say no ? It wasn’t early, whether they were young or not.
Their wedding ceremony was perfect, because it was exactly how (Y/N) had planned it. Kirishima had let her choose the song for their dance, and he had let her choose most of the decorations. ‘’I’m the one who proposed, so you’re the one who’s getting exactly what she wants. I’m happy with whatever makes you happy.’’ He had said, a bright smile on, showing his pointed teeth.
Many heroes were invited, including their former classmates and teachers. Kirishima had forgotten about this video he had taken of his future, and that’s why he didn’t talk about it to (Y/N). Sure, he had kept it for many years, but after they moved in together, he had other priorities than daydreaming about his future family.
The world is full of wondrous things it's true,
but they wouldn't have much meaning,
without you.
3 years after their wedding, things weren’t so well. They both almost couldn’t see each other, even though they were living in the same house, because of their jobs. They were both too busy about being in the top heroes, that they had forgotten to relax like they used to. And even if for them it was a routine they used to have, they both didn’t know it was this important to them.
They broke up for a few weeks. Yes, a few weeks only, maybe it wasn’t even for a month. Indeed, Mina had organized a party, and being almost as heartbroken as both Kirishima and (Y/N) after their breakup, she wanted to hook them up again. They hadn’t divorced, anyway. They both had laughed, talking about each other’s experiences with being single.
‘’I didn’t change the lock of our house.’’ (Y/N) had finally said. ‘’And I didn’t throw my keys.’’ Kirishima had answered. Yeah, they both knew that they weren’t going to divorce ; they just needed some time by themselves. They both didn’t try to meet someone else and didn’t plan to. But after they got back together, they promised each other that they wouldn’t put their spot in the hero ranking at the top of their priorities anymore.
Some quiet evening I sit by your side,
and we're lost in a world of our own.
I feel the glow of your unspoken love,
I'm aware of the treasure that I own.
They got back together like nothing had happened. They had been together for 10 years, it wasn’t their jobs that were going to tear them apart. They even got stronger, actually. Indeed, (Y/N) was brought into a huge fight, and came back home with a scar on her upper lip, that was expending a bit to her cheek. She had cried, so bad. But Kirishima found her even more beautiful. ‘’And now, we’re matching !’’ He had said, after he had tried to calm her down for a whole hour. But he had convinced her that she didn’t have to mind her scar. That was when Kirishima remembered about this vision of the future he had seen ; (Y/N) had a scar, yes. He didn’t want to tell her that neither, and he had even forgotten about it, too.
And in the same year, it came out as a surprise when (Y/N) turned out pregnant. ‘’I know you don’t like kids, but... We could give it a shot, I mean, I know I’ll be a good dad and you’ll be a good mom, and we’ve been together for so long, but I won’t force you, babe.’’ They talked for hours, but (Y/N) actually didn’t seem against the idea. ‘’I mean... I really want a mini Eijiro running around the house. Spiky baby teeth must look very cute.’’ And Kirishima had never been so happy -or maybe on his wedding day, though.
The first child was a boy. Yes, the first, because 2 years later, the second child was a girl. This one wasn’t planned neither, but they remembered how they both felt a bit lonely as children because they didn’t have any bother nor sister, so they decided to keep it as well. Both children turned out with black hair and spiky teeth.
And I say to myself,
it's wonderful, wonderful.
Oh, so wonderful, my love.
And I say to myself,
it's wonderful, wonderful.
Oh, so wonderful, my love.
And here they were, at 32, at (your fav ship)’s wedding. Kirishima looked at his family, as they were all dancing with the other guests and the newly married couple. He was imitating his son’s dance to make him laugh, while (Y/N) was dancing with their little girl. (S/N) was 6, and he had the same quirk as his dad. (D/N) was 4, and her quirk was brand new ; she had a mix of both her mom and dad’s quirks. Kirishima stared at his wife’s smile.
She didn’t want any child at the beginning, she didn’t even think of getting married someday. But here she was, enjoying the moment. She picked up their little girl, as she giggled in her mom’s arms. (Y/N) looked at her, a bright smile still on her face, and Kirishima was mirroring her expression.
Yes, it really was the scene he had seen when he asked for his future, in high school. And Kirishima couldn’t be more pleased ; he wasn’t the number one hero, but he was living what he used to daydream about all day long, in high school. And he couldn’t think of something more wonderful.
yeay, for once it’s a husband x wife and it’s not an angst lmao
I wanted to write that with shouta at first, but I wrote so many one shots of him already so I thought of kirishima, momo, shoto and even katsuki but I thought of kiri first after shouta so he won.
in case you wanna see the video :

DW s12e10: It's Quite Unfortunate That This Child Keeps On Regenerating
It's only fitting that the first post on a blog called "SciFinal" should be about a season finale.
Not that fitting is the fact that in said post I'm going to begin where it all started for me.
Part One: How I Even Got into This Mess of a Show in the First Place
While I call myself a huge Doctor Who fan, even a – *gasp* – Whovian, I must admit I am not as familiar with the franchise as I would like to be; I've seen the new show, I've seen Torchwood (though, admittedly, I had to force myself to finish the fourth season – but that's a story for another day), I've listened to a handful of audio dramas (including Kaldor City, which I consider to be canon for both DW and Blake's 7) – mostly Torchwood audio dramas, but who cares, – I've read a couple of comics, I've got a novel or two somewhere on my bookshelf, I've seen the first couple of seasons of the classic show, but that's about it. I can't say I grew up with it – it wasn't on TV when I was a kid, there isn't an official Ukrainian dub, et cetera, et cetera. I first heard about it when I was about thirteen, when my classmate did a project about something they liked – and was pretty dismissive of my peers' hobbies at the time, believing myself to be somewhat above them, so I didn't pay much attention.
Then somebody finally pressured me into watching it (I believe I was fifteen or something back then) and I loved it. The first two episodes of the first season, I mean. I watched those, texted my friend something like "consider me a Whovian now!" and abandoned the show completely only to return to it maybe several years later.
I loved it. This time, for real.
Doctor Who has been with me ever since that time, it has a big soft spot reserved for each and every Doctor ever in my heart, and for each and every companion. I know full well it's cheesy, and it's stupid, and it's technobabble-y, and it's glorious in all of its cheesy technobabble-y stupidity.
And I hate this finale.
Part Two: Doctor, Why
I hate this finale – because I hate Chris Chibnall. Mind you, not the gentleman himself (I don't even know what he looks like, and I can't be bothered to Google), I hate what he did to Doctor Who.
Now, when it was revealed that the would replace Steven Moffat I felt... nothing. What did you expect? I had no idea who the man was. I know now he's made Broadchurch, and I know he wrote a bunch of stuff for Torchwood back in the day, including Cyberwoman. I had to drop Broadchurch because of how well-handled the depressing atmosphere was, and I love the flawed, dumb, sexy-cyber-bikinied, almost-fifteen-minutes-of-Ianto's-whining-including (I know because some time ago I literally cut almost every single moment of Gareth David-Lloyd whimpering, moaning, groaning, screaming, and mugging at the camera out of the episode and made those bits and pieces into a beautiful clip show called "I HATE THIS" to explain exactly why his face was and still is so punchable) mindless fun that is Cyberwoman (this is also one of the two episodes in which they actually do something fun with the pterodactyl living inside Torchwood's underground base). The latter also led to the creation of one amazing in how it develops Ianto's character audio drama entitled "Broken". I love Broken. I am now forcing you to look at its cover because of how much I love it.
Tumblr media
Here we go. Now, back to the point of me rambling pointlessly
In his video "Sherlock Is Garbage, and Here's Why", a well-known YouTuber hbomberguy pointed out how Steven Moffat's problem is that he is more than capable of writing a good one-off episodes, but ultimately fails at managing multiple complex, overarching stories, as visible when you look at the difference between Moffat's individual episodes and his run on the show.
Now, I believe that Chris Chibnall suffers from the same affliction: he's a good screenwriter but a terrible, terrible showrunner. Sure, he's made Broadchurch, but Broadchurch, in its essence, was a complete singular story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. There were no bigger, incomplete arcs expanding at the expense of other episodes, and the show did exactly what it was originally designed to do: it told an uninterrupted story.
Here comes Chris Chibnall's run on Doctor Who.
Now, while Steven Moffat was ultimately not very good at managing overarching stories, he tried to do so nonetheless, and the fans seemed to like his attempts. And while I can't be sure as to whether it was Chris' original vision for the show or he and his co-writers were merely trying to emulate Moffat, he attempted the same. A friend of mine has even pointed out how, to her, it was painfully obvious how the writers of the finale were desperately trying to copy Moffat's style (to give you some context, she grasped it from a 30-second clip of the CyberMasters' reveal, and that clip basically consisted of me filming my laptop's screen and laughing at their design, making the video wobbly and the audio distorted). At the time of writing this post this friend hasn't seen a single episode of Chibnall's era and, as far as I know, has no wish to do so – mainly because of two reasons that both have something to do with the finale:
Somebody's already spoiled it for her, so who cares;
I ranted to her about how shit this finale is and now she hates everything about Chibnall era.
I am very sorry for the latter, since I genuinely believe there are some nice episodes in these seasons, and I especially like the "historical" ones, they really are quite a lot of fun, I like Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison fighting badly CG-ed alien scorpions, I love Lord Byron and Mary Shelley running around a haunted house trying to escape from a Cyberman (even though it's all too similar to the Agatha Christie episode from Russel T Davies' run), I adore that episode about Rosa P–– oh, wait, no, that one was crap and ripped off Blake's 7... Anyway, I love Jodie Whittaker's Doctor, I am a big fan of Graham, I like Ryan just fine, and I can put up with Yaz, even though it's been two seasons and I've still got no idea what's her personality supposed to be, and I absolutely love the new Master (he reminds me of a cute little pug with a big Tommy gun). There is plenty of good stuff in these two seasons, they are lots of fun to watch, but this finale... Oh god, this finale.
Part Three: We Had All of Time and Space at Our Fingertips and We Ended Up with This
We are getting to the point of this whole thing. I would love to begin with the obvious, the twist, but there's so much wrong with this who-cares-how-many-parter than this one big thing.
It is inept. It is impotent. It is incompetent. It is bad at almost everything except its okay camera work, somewhat good (for a British TV show, I mean) effects, and its really solid performances.
Its editing is tone-deaf to the extreme. There is a moment in the final episode where Ko Sharmas asks who will be the first to cross the Boundary and step into the unknown, and immediately it cuts to Yaz walking towards it, all fast and silent. I would love to show you a clip of it, but I don't have one and I can't force myself to download the episode and sit through this shitshow again just to present you with a ten-second clip. Nonetheless, that part is not edited like a dramatic moment. You edit comedies this way. Bad comedies. Bad editors edit bad comedies this way.
Its plot is incoherent. There are several plot threads in this finale, and they're managed in a way that doesn't make the viewer care about all of them at the same time, rather the viewer goes "oh, I've completely forgotten this was happening" and then, before they can even begin to care, the show cuts to something else. It's all over the place and oh so annoying.
The plot armour is painfully obvious despite every attempt to disguise it. There wasn't a single, solitary second when I believed the Doctor was really going to sacrifice herself and, lo and behold, here comes the old guy ex machina to do it for her. The only questions I was asking at that moment were "How are the writers going to prevent the Doctor's death now that they've seemingly created themselves a way to go on forever?" and "How can Whittaker care so much about her performance in this scene she's literally almost crying?". I wholeheartedly related to the Master asking "So why are we still here?" and shout–– hiss–– mumbl–– whatever-ing "Come on, come on, come on!" – at that point I've suffered through at least forty-five minutes of utter nonsense, people going preachy, religious Cybermen with Dalek motivations, that absolutely ludicrous scene in the previous episode when the show was trying its worst to make me perceive autonomous flying Cyber-heads with laser eyes as a serious threat, a shit twist and... Oh.
I've got to finally touch on the shit twist, haven't I?
It doesn't make sense. No, I mean it. I guess it makes sense from the show's writers' standpoint to retcon everything in a way that would allow them to go on forever without having to come up with a way to circumvent limited regenerations, yes. And I won't be touching upon all the lore people say this twist has ruined. No. It doesn't make sense as it is.
The twist is revealed to us by a madman that claims to have hacked into a database, claims to possess control over the Doctor's mind, and gives the Doctor and the audience no actual solid proof that the Timeless Child is, indeed, the Doctor. We have Ruth, sure, and she's nice enough (damn, I want that vest), and she's a Timelord that happens to own a TARDIS that looks like a blue police telephone box, and she calls herself the Doctor. Here's Ruth:
Tumblr media
I really like Ruth. She also makes no sense from the show's timeline standpoint, since the Doctor's Type 40 TARDIS only got stuck looking like a police box in 1963, so there's no reason for the Doctor to not remember being her.
We also know that the Judoon have identified Ruth as "the Fugitive"... except in one of their previous appearances in the show they weren't able to identify their targets exactly and thus were seeking out non-humans. There is a possibility that they were only looking for a Time Lord on Earth.
You know what? It's possible that Ruth is actually the Master messing with the Doctor. I have just as much proof of this as I have of the fact that the Doctor is some kind of an endlessly regenerating superbeing.
But this is not the most maddening thing here. I loathe it, but I don't loathe the twist itself: I loathe its lifelessness, I loathe how empty, how unemotional, almost robotic it feels. When somebody'd spoiled the finale for me, I got angry, and I started asking questions, and when later I saw the actual thing...
Tumblr media
This gif. I can't even explain how accurate it is. I stood there, in the middle of my kitchen, episode paused, holding a cup of cold tea and desperately looking around as if in my surroundings I could somehow find that emotional reaction that this show failed to evoke. I was ready to burst into tears of how empty it felt, and how empty I felt, and how the same show that has Christopher Eccleston go from literally foaming at the mouth with pure hatred to shocked silence in a matter of second because of one sentence that you, a viewer, can't help but be astonished by failed to make me feel the tiniest speck of literally any emotion. And slowly, I felt that vast void in my chest fill with sheer, pure, flaming hatred for the person who made me feel nothing, for the story that left me not bored – but empty.
And the next moment, in its own unique way of being absolutely tone-deaf, the show introduces the CyberMasters, looking ridiculous, being asinine in concept, making me burst into laughter with their dumb design. Wow.
So.
Chris Chibnall's Doctor Who is no longer a show. Chris Chibnall's Doctor Who isn't even, as somebody on Stardust said, a fan fiction. It's a rollercoaster. A lackluster rollercoaster that lifts you from the vast caverns of frozen hell, devoid of any life whatsoever, soulless and abandoned, to the heavenly torture of being so bad, so utterly awful and ridiculous, that you can't help but laugh as you watch something you used to love be distorted and deformed to the point where you can't recognise it anymore nor really care. This is what Chris Chibnall's Doctor Who has become. And I'm going to continue my ride on that grotesque rollercoaster. I'm going to pirate that ride and get on it again. Because I'm a masochist. Because I want to feel something, even if it's hatred towards those that make me feel nothing.
Because some time ago my fifteen-year-old self watched the first season and learned a lesson that I hold dear after all these years – that I can't abandon hope, and that someday, somehow, things are going to get better. That the future is being written right now. That the future can change.

Hello, I really want to get this out of my mind, so I hope I do not bother you, if I bother you please ignore me, ok this will be long. I saw one of your previous answers, where you say that you feel different or with a weird mood, I've also been feeling weird, and I've been thinking about things that really stress me, I'm in a mood so pessimistic and depressing that I come crazy and terrible ideas about many things (part1)
one of those strange thoughts is this: LM and JDS have said (or so I’ve heard correct me if I’m wrong) that they do not want to talk much to avoid surprises about the plot of the following seasons … so I came this horrible thought. if they for example do not want to ruin the surprise about Klance by becoming a canon, Why do they talk so much about them? (part2)
why they give the fans so many hopes and make them believe that they will become canon if they want it to be a “surprise”?. then my pessimistic thoughts lead me to this, the surprise is not klance becoming canon, the surprise will be that another ship either All//ance, K and R or even worse She//ith is the one that will become canon. So if I’m not bothering you I’d appreciate it if you answered this, I’m sorry for bothering you with this stupidity (last part)
it’s alright bro, i gotchu.
first, it’s true that lm and jds and known to be super secretive about the plot and upcoming events, and they have been vague about lance’s and keith’s relationship until this interview. there are instances were they were talked about them in a romantic context several times too but i’m just gonna focus on this video for now. there are two reasons that they have decided to openly talk about it like that:
1. they were approached specifically by the author of this article to hear out what they think about the “science behind shipping,” since they’re the executive producers of the show with the most popular ship on the internet.
2. they’ve realized it’s necessary to keep avoiding klance at this point. the klance fandom is huge, and no matter how much they try hide who the endgame will be or even sway us a little bit from it, the klance fandom only grows each time. they never expected klance to gain such a huge fanbase so quickly and for the fans to pick up on the hints that easily. it was as if they were still in shock and denial that their endgame surprise has been exposed, but there’s no use denying it at this point. they know we’ll forever believe in the ship, so since everything’s exposed, they don’t see why they can’t engage with the fans about them. if it is really not the endgame ship, they would’ve tried to do more damage control to not break the hopes and fail the expectations of the fans later, but they only spoke positively about klance in that video.
and don’t allow yourself to think that, annonie. i know that it’s really worrying because of how little keith and lance have interacted in the past few seasons, but that does not mean in any way that their relationship has regressed. season six especially was the very definition of intense, and there was barely any time for keith to interact with any of the other paladins besides shiro. keith, especially, was under a lot of pressure, and they were all stressed. but now since everything’s calmed down and keith’s finally back on the team, things will get better. have faith.
(gonna put the rest under read more bc this has tuned way longer than expected)
and about other ships becoming canon, you can rule that idea out by the process of elimination.
keith/romelle and keith/allura are never gonna happen. you know why?
the endgame is between two main characters (”characters who have been present since the beginning″ aka the paladins). romelle isn’t
keith and allura have only ever interacted in what would seem like (but it isn’t) a romantic fashion in s2, and it was just bc of keith’s heritage. even though it’s kinda disappointing since i’d like to see more of their friendship, they’ve barely interacted with each other outside of missions. there’s no way they’re gonna develop romantic feelings for each other when neither has shown interest in the other.
literally
also dude keith’s clearly not straight. no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise, the man isn’t. one look at him is enough to know that.
biggest proof is allura, a gorgeous space princess who everybody swoons over, falling right into his arms and him not even blinking a goddamn eye. his indifferent expression still cackles me tbh.
also, it’s known that the endgame involves lance, so if it’s a ship that does not include lance, then nah it’s not happening.
not gonna even bother with why shiteihaha will never become canon in a bazillion realities because it’s ridiculously clear as to why to those who have at least 2 functional brain cells. don’t even let that idea cross your mind.
this leaves us with all//ance. tbh, it did have a chance of becoming canon up until s5. but dude, after watching s6, i was like “did they just really kill this ship.” all//ance is really cute and sweet, and i wouldn’t have minded it becoming canon since both allura and lance really care about each and i loooooooooove their friendship so goddamn much. but this is the thing. what allura and lance have is friendship. they both were really good friends up until the writers decided to bring lance’s crush back from the bottomless pits for drama’s sake. lance’s crush on allura is so valid man. he truly does like her. but the thing that killed the ship wasn’t this; it was the whole love triangle drama. allura fell in love with lotor and never requited lance’s feelings even when she knew about them, meaning she does not view lance that way, and it’s her right - she can like whoever she wants. the writers said that romance will happen naturally in the show. if allura would ever reciprocate lance’s feelings, she would’ve at least displayed some signs of that at this point. she got to know lance and see some of his greatest moments. she even got to experience what lance dying would feel like, yet she still didn’t develop any romantic feelings towards him. if feelings of loss and grieve didn’t make her realize how important lance is to her romantically, then that’s because there are no romantic feelings present in the first place. it would not make sense at all for her to develop feelings for him later on. she cares deeply about him as a friend, and romantic love is not some upgraded form of friendship love - it’s a totally different type of the same class, and that’s what she feels about him.
it would be utterly cruel and unfair for both if they end up together after the shit that has happened in s6. allura would never find a lotor in lance, and lance would always feel inferior if he gets with allura because he know’s he’s no lotor - that he isn’t who she wants (lance is much better than all the boys in the entire universe and whoever has him is literally the luckiest person ever but this is not the point so moving on). allura’s feelings for lance would not be genuine, which would make allura feel bad because she would never want to make lance feel like a rebound or a second choice. lance, on the other hand, really likes allura, and being the helplessly selfless person he is, would accept to be allura’s rebound while being fully aware of it and accepting his fate as a second choice which, god, would take a heavy fricking toll on his already bad self-esteem issues. seriously man, every time i think about them getting together after s6, their relationship is just full of heartbreak and hurt, and i don’t want either of them to feel like that because they don’t deserve it. even the showrunners admitted that them getting together right after would be a disservice to both of them. i fucking love them both and their friendship so much and i don’t want anything to ruin it.
i wanna also elaborate on another point. if you’ve noticed, allura and lance shared a couple scenes that paralleled klance’s but they’re slightly more romantically-coded (the scene might seem this way but since allura has 0 romantic interest in lance it ain’t, but anyway). the reason i think they included such parallels is to tell the audience that, “if you see those a///rance scenes as romantic, then those previous klance scene were meant to be romantic as well :)” as i mentioned before, the writers were quite surprised we have picked up on klance pretty quickly and early. since they might’ve thought we wouldn’t, they might’ve thought “something” was needed to hint at where they’re planning on taking klance’s relationship, and that “something” is all//ance. but unlike all/urance’s scenes (especially the dying lance moment which resembled the bonding moment) where the romantic interest is one-sided, the similar feelings in klance’s scenes are reciprocated by both parties (bonding!!!! moment!!!!).
now then, guess which ship we’re left with!!!!! yup! it’s klance. i could go on and on and on and on about how they!!! are!!! gonna!!! be!!! canon!!! but i’ve seriously spoken too much (and i cant feel my fingers anymore erfberk) and i don’t even know if you even have read it all the way to end bc ik i’m quite boring when i explain stuff ebjrvkebr but!!! seriously dude. just go rewatch s3. that’s all the confirmation you need of their budding romance. they have some of the most trope-y romantic scenes. and dude, i say all that but, whatever happens, i will forever believe that there’s no better ship in this show than klance. nothing will surpass it.
edit: gonna just add the petty ask i sent voltron (that i knew they were never gonna answer but i had to send it nonetheless bc i needed to let the salt inside me out somehow lmao) because it’s succinct and summarizes what i said above lmao
