Maybe it’s all just coincidence but ever since telling my doctor’s office I have medicaid this year they have ceased doing one single helpful thing. Can’t help but feel like a little of that bias I was afraid of is at play.

#my doctor herself is contracted with them #but she works out of a practice and the practice does not accept medicaid #every message she has replied to has been as helpful as she can be #the receptionists however are leaving me to dangle and I am almost out of adhd meds #which require a new prior auth from insurance #for some dumb reason #'why does the patient need these' LOOK AT THE LABEL AND GUESS #or how about 'patient has been on them for three years'#I hate this place lol I didn't even ask to get thrown into medicaid #they expanded who qualifies and I lost my doctor #I have to pay 80 bucks for a regular visit minus anything she might request done #chronic-les #cannot believe teh difference in service despite literally no difference in my own life #i make the same amount I did before #literally nothing has changed but now it's medicaid so it can go lower on the priority list i guess #I would like to think better of them but I've seen too many op-eds from medical companies #'please stop calling us evil for not helping the poors we don't get paid if we do'#and I worked medical billing #medicaid patients get treated like garbage regularly #the old the sick and the poor
