#I hate sm and k-briize

I would just like to give all ot6 briize a warm FUCK YOU and the same goes to SM.

I can’t even begin to explain how hurt I am from the moment I saw Seunghan’s official statement that he would be leaving RIIZE.

You all know what he did wasn’t even a crime and yet SM enables k-briize to so easily control this group and the members like they’re not even human beings. Global fans deserve as much of a say as Korean briize and the fact that they drove Seunghan out of the group despite the members warmly welcoming him back and wanting him, they still claim to “want the best for RIIZE” when all they have wanted was to be reunited as a group of 7 again.

This is just straight up bullying and these so called “briize” don’t even have Riize’s best intentions at heart, this was all just selfish and manipulative because they didn’t like Seunghan. I hope you guys are happy because you’ve destroyed a young man’s dream and possibly the best thing that’s ever happened to him as well.

We love you so much Seunghan, I’m so sorry your company couldn’t even so much as try to protect you and you had to be treated this way, you deserve so much more support and love and I hope you know thousands of us do and always will.

i have seen some tweets about how some korean ot7 fans from debut/neutral/non hateful ot6 fans are leaving the fandom due to this terrible incident, especially since sm ent is carrying on like nothing is happening. I point this out not with any glee. neither am I implying riize will fail, especially in east asia, because they most certainly will/should not and it's ridiculous that anyone is implying that. I say this merely to point out that we are not alone in our frustrations as intl briize and this incident has had more of a damaging long term impact than sm/ot6 probably realized.

i have seen some tweets about how a korean ot6 fan now supports and likes seunghan because of the kind actions and love shown by ot7 briize.

normal people are talking about seunghan now. people are talking about the support projects outside sm for him. public opinion on him is shifting even though sm is controlling the media narrative. a lot of regular people know him and are cheering him on.

264 stores are boycotting worldwide.

sm's instagram account is viewing stories with seunghan's support projects.

a lot of j briize are ot7, though they won't boycott, but are atleast funding support projects for him.

the number of k briize who were previously silently supporting seunghan are coming out more and more to support him loudly. because they are gaining confidence and strength from us intl briize (they said this)

I'm saying this so that you guys know that the boycott is working. we are being noticed. things are changing. you have to be patient it'll take time. but be consistent. that's better than a massive outrage and then silence. sm is waiting for this to blow over and be a temporary inconvenience. dont do that pls!!! I saw someone voting while claiming to boycott?? NO!! please don't give up. we are doing extremely well!! as you can see above, our boycott is having effects that we can't even really see due to diff language and location etc. but its working!! so I'm begging you not to give up. it's only been a week. do not give up.

i would also suggest if you have instagram to make insta stories supporting seunghan and rii7e and tag smtown in it since they're monitoring. make it known that we are brii7e and how much we love the 7 of them. PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO SAY ANYTHING THAT REFLECTS BADLY ON RII7E OR BRII7E!! insta is important in korea so please try to do this!!!

I have way too many thoughts on this seunghan situation and i got no where else to put them so imma dump my shit here:

It’s gonna be extremely hard for RIIZE to grow internationally under SM following this.

SM doesnt understand that riize will never be a proper “global group” if they dont listen to the voices of GLOBAL fans. if thats the case, stop promoting them as such. Stop giving them global brand deals, stop doing tours here, stop coming to the west entirely. Just stick to korea and its warped perception of what makes a “good idol.”

Y'all want global groups, global recognition, get into the western market, chart on billboard, want k-pop to be taken serious and elevate it but you can't do basic shit right and you're outdated as fuck. You want foreign recognition but dont wanna deal with foreign sensibilities. A group aiming for global success while simultaneously basing all their decisions on local outrage will never work.

And this isn’t setting a new precedent, its only cementing the precedent thats existed in k-pop for decades. SM has always enabled crazed fans and bullies for decades now instead of taking action and protecting their artists. This is unfortunately very on brand for them (however I still do think lsm would’ve kept seunghan but alas).

It was the ot6 “fans” acting like the decision to have him back in the group wasnt agreed upon by everyone else in the group for me. Cause how are you gonna be like “ooouuu but the other 6 members ouuu” well they wanted him back in SO WHAT NOW? Now they’re stuck with crazy ass fans thinking they own them, and I doubt they (the members) will ever see their fans the same way ever again. The fanbase has controlled so many of their moves its insane. First they didnt like the original fandom name so it was changed in 2 days along with an apology, announced a lightstick but they didnt like it so they pulled back the announcement and revealed a redesign, changed the hairstyling team because fans complained the styles were too different/outdated, now they kicked out an entire member because of the backlash? Wtf?

And I know for a fact briize will try to boycott and unless yall actually stand on business (which i doubt), its gonna fall flat. Cause lets not forget the amount of infighting that occurred during the hiatus period when people were only *discussing* boycotting. Talkin about “oh what about the other members” and “oh but the numbers.” The reason ot6 antis won SM over is because they saw that shit through, now look what happened.

Ima also need yall to stop saying the hate in korea was a “loud minority” because absolutely the fuck not. It was a loud majority of kfans and cfans advocating for his removal and poor health. Looking at the 1000+ death/funeral wreaths with seunghan’s name on it outside the SM building was absolutely heart wrenching, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the final straw for him among the other thousands of hate tweets with tens of thousands of likes on ktwt. As much as I’d love to have him in riize again, he deserves so much better than a company that doesnt protect him against that sheer amount of vitriol. I hope with everything in me that he has a proper support system.

I honestly have no idea how riize will move forward from this. They’ve lost a great majority of their international fanbase, and killed a lot of people’s interest in the group. I have never seen a company fumble the bag worse. Even though sohee is the first male idol i’ve really liked in a long time, I cant see myself interacting with riize in any way in the future.

Tell me why I literally cried yesterday finding out that Seunghan was coming back since I was so happy. So then I was like ok SM did their A game on this one but NO. Then today I heard that Seunghan is leaving the fucking group since these K fucking netizens want to comment on how he shouldn't have came back after all he's done. First of y'all you fucking dick riders, Seunghan has APOLOGIZED already and he has acknowledged that what he did was wrong. Plus this happened during pre debut so what is there really say about it? These fucking k netizens be wanting to hate on fucking Seunghan for this type of shit but want to fucking support TAEIL after he literally SA'd a woman and this happened during his hiatus. The members were literally crying because of him while he was at a fucking BAR. K netizens want to be hating on the most tiniest things but want to support messed up ass things. This really feels like Lucas all over again and it really hurts how Seunghans dreams got crushed just because of something he did before he even DEBUT and APOLOGIZED for it. And SM didn't even protect him whatsoever. SM get your shit together and provide more support and protection over your artists. The news about riize has made me so angry. These people are absolutely fucking disgusting and something seriously needs to be done about this. T@e!l is the wrong comparison to make here.

No one supports T@e!l, Korean & International netizens ALL hate him. He was immediately removed (thankfully) and I think everyone just wants to forget about his existence because who wants to keep a r@p!st on their mind. There's nothing to protest for, his career is done.

Obviously Seunghan's treatment by OT6 Briize is evil & unforgivable though. It just has nothing to do with T@e!l and isn't comparable.

It's just purely stupid & idiotic how OT6 Briize wanted to & succeeded in punishing Seunghan for being a normal teenager. It happened PRE-debut, years ago... it's pointless witch hunting him for it now, but apparently not being a celibate virgin is punishable by d@ath threats & having to leave your group.

The thing is, just look at the rest of RIIZE. They're all beautiful gorgeous boys. Do the same people who hate Seunghan for dating think that pretty boy Wonbin & k-drama beauty Sungchan have always been and will always be single? How did they look at Seunghan's stunning face and think he would have no game?

This is ridiculous and it's even more ridiculous SM caved in and sided with the people sending him funeral wreaths for the sin of dating. They've never been good at defending their artists from haters, but some of their most popular artists/former artists have had dating "scandals". Jonghyun, Taeyeon, Baekhyun, Kai, Krystal... they all got a terrible amount of hate but didn't loose their careers.

My Stan List & Biases:

BTS: Got me into K-pop and are true artists. Their Korean discography is a masterpiece & I love how BTS's rapline are real rappers and not just "Idol rappers" who mumble/fast talk. Also I appreciate the Rapline's heavy involvement in their music, they do way more than most idols. (OT7 are all my biases but Jin & J-Hope are my bias wreckers.)

ATEEZ: I've been a fan for years now & I'm so proud of how far they've come. I can't say I love every single comeback but their music usually grows on me & when it works it just works. Seonghwa & Hongjoong are my biases & Yeosang is my bias wrecker but I love everyone.

Le Sserafim: Sakura Miyawaki is my queen & she is a stage presence demon who I will defend til my last breath. They're also the funniest group. Eunchae is my bias wrecker, she's so gosh darn cute & charming.

Victon (now inactive): They had some good f*cking music. I still keep up with by bias Han Seungwoo's releases with are usually good.

WOODZ (soloist): I love self produced idols who make good music. Not to mention he's also good at everything & doesn't lack in vocals, dance, or rap. What an icon!

ZB1: I know they're a temporary group but they're genuinely one of the best groups ever. I can't believe such a perfect group was made with no MNET rigging! Each member is so talented & they ALL deserved their spots in the group. Not to mention they're all funny af with great visuals. Haobin are my biases & everyone else is a bias wrecker.

NCT Dream: I stan them but I don't really have a bias or bias wrecker. I like them all about the same & their bond as a group is heartwarming. Their music is also the best in NCT.

I would stan NCT 127... if only I liked their music. Yuta is my bias & Taeyong is my bias wrecker though.

I don't quite stan ILLIT, but I was rooting for Moka all throughout the survival show RUNext. I'm so glad she made it and it's amazing to see her become so popular when she was really underappreciated pre-debut. I'm also just rooting for all the girls in general, they seem very sweet & deserve the best.

Also not quite K-pop but (K)J-pop - JO1: I love them, I love their music, I love their voices, their visuals, their personalities, amazing. Junki is my bias (oshi in Japanese) & Ren is my bias wrecker.
