i think my hottest take rn is that rina sawayama not getting her new album is probably more due too her second album flopping commercially and critically than like , racism from the label

#I hate saying it bc i never wanna diminish an woc's experience with racism #but like idk a majority of the label is made up of black and asain artists #i understand its more about her calling out matty healy but she did that in 2023 #like late 2023 #and her album came out in 2022 #and usually production for the next album starts pretty soon #so idk #timeline doesnt make sense for me
