Even though I read plenty of fics and have been doing so since I first started in 2021, this is the first time I actually noted down the names of the fics as I read them this month. I’m so thankful to our fandom’s wonderful writers for sharing these with us and it is because I read so many that I wanted to start noting them down so I can remember them. I was debating posting the list but fics have always been a source of comfort for me and if you feel the same, maybe these can bring you some comfort too.
🎃 The Serpent and the Lion by louiseparker @louiseparker [212k]
Seventh year Hogwarts AU in which Harry Styles is an asshole Gryffindor jock with daddy issues, Louis is just trying to get through the year, and Liam, Zayn, and Niall rarely ever know what the hell is going on.
🎃 Tainted Saints And Velvet Vices by Toomanytears @toomanydreamers [126k]
A self-fulfilling Hogwarts AU in which Louis is new to seventh year and Harry is the resident devil-may-care Slytherin set to make his entire experience a living misery. Due to less than favourable circumstances they're forced to forge an unwilling, tentative relationship for their own survival. Repressed emotions, decidedly unromantic ballroom dancing, Triwizard Tournament tasks, creative jinxes and twilight flying above the Forbidden Forest ensue.
🎃 You Drive Me Round The Bend by TheCellarDoor [77k]
In which Louis is a spoilt rich kid who’s always on the phone while he drives and Harry is a struggling musician making his way down the mountain. It’s just a matter of time before they crash and burn.
🎃 but me, i'm not a gamble by orphan_account [33k]
A Posh & Becks AU in which Harry is a star on the stage and Louis is a star on the pitch, but they're both inexplicably terrible at articulating their feelings. In the end, it only takes a season's worth of failed matchmaking schemes, platonic dinner dates, road trip holidays, and one very convenient David Beckham cameo for them to figure it all out. And if Niall knew all along? Well, he at least has the decency not to be too smug about it.
🎃 The Lone Hydrangea by sarah_writes @lightwoodsmagic [77k]
The post Hogwarts AU where Harry's a florist, Louis' a muggle who edits fantasy books, and they both have no say in how quickly they fall for each other.
🎃 The Sunshine Stays by quickedween @becomeawendybird [15k]
It's three years after One Direction got back together, and Harry and Louis have just come off a world tour. They're enjoying a much more relaxed schedule the second time around, allowing themselves to bask in married life. Until, one day, Louis surprises Harry on vacation, and there are some surprising consequences.
🎃 House Of The Rising Sun by @itsmotivatingcara [100k]
Witch Harry/Vampire Louis. The Originals AU.
🎃 Something Like This by multicoloredme [150k]
After leaving his boyfriend, Louis is a little sore emotionally and is ready for a fresh start in a new city. When a coworker tells him about a couple friends looking for a new flatmate, he decides to go for it. Little does he know, that one of his new flatmates is the gorgeous, captivating guy he met at a party a few weeks ago. A New Girl/Grey’s Anatomy/Relief Next To Me inspired AU.
🎃 Say That You Can See Me (I'll Speak Up I Swear) by @coffeelouis [20k]
The liberal arts COLLEGE AU where Harry knows Louis as the best friend of the boy he has been hopelessly in love with for years now and Louis knows Harry as the boy he wished would look away from Zayn long enough to notice him.
🎃 Don't You Think It's Boring How People Talk? by wildestdreams @thelavendrhaze [80k]
A Gossip Girl AU where Louis is the king of the Upper East Side and Harry is the bad boy he loves to hate until a late-night limo ride changes everything.
🎃 Magical Soup by gloria_andrews @gloriaandrews [28k]
Slytherin prefect Louis Tomlinson's seventh year at Hogwarts takes an immediate turn for the worse when he's made to be potions partners with Harry Styles, Hufflepuff's resident heartthrob and class clown. Louis has always considered Styles to be a terrible show-off who coasts by on his charm and good looks, but the more they work together, the more he questions that idea. As term goes on, will Louis be able to admit to himself that he might actually like Harry Styles after all... and maybe, just maybe, as more than a friend?
🎃 King Of My Heart by wildestdreams @thelavendrhaze [80k]
A Red, White, and Royal Blue AU where Hollywood elite, Louis Tomlinson, finds himself falling for the closeted Prince of England.
🎃 And What If I Were You by @jacaranda-bloom [100k]
For Louis, will losing his sight give him the clarity to realise what is right in front of him?
For Harry, will losing the love of his life give him the strength to finally open his heart?
And can they find their way back, before they lose each other forever? A story of love. A story of loss. A story of fighting for each other, no matter the odds.
🎃 Tell me when you're ready (I'm waitin') by insufferablelovebirds [17k]
When Harry's love letters to his old crushes get sent accidentally, one recipient, Louis, offers to help him fake a relationship but it gets complicated when feelings get involved.
Or an au loosely based off to all the boys I've loved before.

Category: Fluff
A/N: This is the closest I've come all year to missing a Friday lol, but we got it done! Woohoo!
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
****************
I hummed to myself as I moved around the kitchen, dancing to the music I had on in the background while making sure everything cooked just right. I had a reputation to fix, after all, and I was determined to get it right.
After the Red Hood had broken into my apartment to return my favorite book last week, I'd convinced him to come back for a thank-you dinner and to talk about the book, which he'd been planning to read in the meantime. He'd also vaguely insulted my cooking, although I'd mostly forgiven him for that in light of him returning my book.
Tonight was the date we'd set for dinner and book-talk, and I'd spent the week preparing the perfect recipe. Even better, the kitchen currently smelled amazing, which had to be a good sign of success.
Right on cue, about the same time he'd shown up last week, I heard a knock on my door. I smiled, trying to ignore the way my heart sped up a little as I quickly wiped my hands on the kitchen towel and headed for the door.
I paused just long enough to look through the peep hole and, as expected, the Red Hood stood towering in my doorway. This time, instead of the whole-head helmet, he only had a red domino mask on. Thank goodness, since the dinner part of this whole evening would be ruined if he couldn't actually eat without revealing his secret identity. I swung open the door with a grin.
"Hi! I'm glad you came! Honestly, I was half expecting you to be at the window again."
He just grunted and shrugged.
"I wasn't sure you'd actually be home, or still up for this. Figured I'd come to the door and give you a chance to pretend not to be home."
"Don't be ridiculous," I said, waving off his concerns as I opened the door wide. "I've been looking forward to this all week. Unless, of course, you're here to hate on my favorite book. If that's the case, I think I'm going to have to throw you out."
He laughed. "Don't worry, I'd never do that. I know what a true favorite book means to a reader."
I gave him a little smile and a nod as I closed the front door, then headed past him into the kitchen. I gestured to the bar stools at my counter as I checked that everything still looked good.
"Have a seat. Can I get you anything to drink?"
"A water would be great."
"Sure thing! Coming right up." I filled up a glass for Red Hood and myself, then fixed him with a smile as I set his glass down in front of him. "So... notice anything different from the last time you were here? Anything in the kitchen, maybe?"
He hummed, pausing and pretending to think. I put my hands on my hips and raised an eyebrow, and after a moment, he broke and grinned.
"I'll admit, the kitchen's looking much more promising than the last time you said you were making dinner in here."
"Thank you," I said, smiling as I turned around to start plating everything. "I told you, last time you were here was just a record-breaking bad day. A cooking fluke."
I could hear him hum behind me, at least pretending not to sound totally convinced.
"Next time, I'll make something. Everything you've got going right now looks amazing, but I'm a pretty good cook myself. I wouldn't want you thinking I'm acting like a critic out of nowhere."
I hesitated a second before turning around, trying to get my ridiculous smile and racing heart under control. I technically didn't know him very well yet, but so far, I'd started to really like Red Hood. I loved the idea of making this a regular thing, and I loved even more that he'd suggested it. I took a deep breath, then finally turned around, my smile still massive but at least a little more reasonable.
"Deal. Next time, you cook."
****************
I laughed, closing my book and shaking my head as I looked up at Hoodie. He looked back over the top of his own book, one eyebrow raised.
"What?" he asked, leaning slightly towards me. I shook my head, smiling all the same.
"Nothing. I just know why you wanted me to read this book so badly now."
"Oh yeah? And why's that?"
I cleared my throat dramatically and lifted Hoodie's copy of Northanger Abbey, which he'd temporarily loaned me, before starting to read:
"The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid."
Hoodie grinned. "I'll admit, I may have levelled that quote at a family member or two. Although, I might widen the original to include stories in general."
I snorted. "And if one of those family members said they loved podcasts or movies or something, but not books?"
"No, they're the exception. They're idiots whether or not they enjoy a good story."
I laughed, and after a moment, Hoodie joined me. Since that first reading date, we'd made our unofficial vigilante book club into a weekly occurance. He always came over to my place, and we spent the evening talking about books, or reading together and then talking about books. We alternated who cooked, and this time, it was his responsibility. He had food cooking in the crock-pot, and the delicious smells had been temping me for the better part of the past few hours.
"So I take it you're enjoying the book?" he asked, laying his down in his lap. I nodded, mirroring his gesture and sitting up a little straighter.
"I am. I can't believe it took me so long to get around to reading it! I've loved all the other Austen I've read."
"Which is why we get along," he said with a grin. I nodded.
"I could never spend time like this with a man who didn't at least appreciate Pride and Prejudice."
"Of course not."
"But what about you? Are you liking your book of the week?"
He nodded, scooting a little closer to me on the couch.
"I've said it before and I'll say it again, you have good taste in books. I don't think you've picked one yet that I haven't liked."
"...Now I sort of want to take that as a challenge."
Hoodie just rolled his eyes.
"Be careful. I've read some shit I wouldn't wish on anyone, but I can and will use it as payback if I have to."
I laughed. "I don't know, I've read some pretty unbeatably bad ones..."
"Oh yeah? Well how about-"
He stopped short at the sound of a ringtone. I raised an eyebrow as he grimaced. Not once, in all the weeks we'd been doing this, had either of us let a phone interrupt the night.
"Sorry. Vigilante phone," he grunted. "Just a second."
I waved him off to let him know it was no problem, and he shot me a quick smile before answering. To my surprise, he held it out in front of him and put it on speaker.
"What do you want?" he barked without a hello. "I'm busy."
"Yeah, so busy that nobody's been able to get a hold of you all night!" came an exasperated voice that sounded much too young for that level of exhaustion. "We started prepping for Alfred's birthday-"
BOOM! A loud noise that sounded too close to an explosion for comfort cut off the rest of the sentence. My jaw dropped open at the same time that the kid on the other end of the phone shouted out at the top of his lungs.
"JASON! What happened? Are you- oh shit, I think that was on my end." A brief pause, some scuffling, and the sound of an alarm in the background as Hoodie—as Jason—and I sat frozen in place on the couch. "Just get back here as soon as you can to help!"
The kid on the other end hung up, leaving Jason and I in the ringing silence of my apartment. After a moment, the man on the couch next to me sighed heavily, and I decided to beat him to the punch on further breaking the silence.
"I am... so sorry," I said. "I know you probably didn't want that, like, getting out, and-"
"Stop," he said gently, reaching out to take my hands in his. I did, opting instead to chew on the inside of my lip as I looked at him with wide eyes. "Look, it's not exactly how I wanted this to go, and I wasn't expecting Timbo to use the vigilante phone to say my civilian name, but... I've been thinking about telling you for a while. I'm not upset that you know, and I've know you long enough now that I trust you to keep my secret."
My mouth dropped open a little as a thousand butterflies exploded in my chest. This was a major leap of faith and trust in the relationship we'd been building in our little book club. I squeezed Jason's hands, smiling as I leaned into him a little. He grinned back at me, then sighed.
"Now, if you hated Austen, maybe I'd have to be a little more worried about all this..."
I gasped. "I could never."
"Exactly. You're not somebody I'm worried about here."
We shared another, softer smile, and then I reluctantly dropped Jason's hands.
"Speaking of people you should be worried about... whoever made that call sounded like they could use your help."
Jason's eyes rolled back so far I couldn't see the pupils anymore.
"They're idiots who should never be allowed anywhere near a kitchen, but they'll survive without me for a little longer. At least long enough to do this."
For a split second, I expected him to lean in for a kiss, and my heart did a backflip in my chest. Instead, he reached up for the domino mask still sitting comfortably on his face, which somehow seemed more intimate.
Slowly, he pulled away the fabric, revealing the bright blue eyes it had been hiding. When he smiled, this time I could see the corners of his eyes turning up along with his mouth, and even from a few feet away I could see his gorgeous eyelashes. It took some actual effort not to swoon, even though his face didn't change significantly from when he'd been wearing the mask.
"Like what you see?" he asked, tone soft but joking. I huffed a laugh and let a smile make its way back onto my face.
"Yeah. I do."
"Good. Then... what do you think about going out? On a real date, with me, not Red Hood? No pressure if you're not interested, but-"
"I would love that," I said, my smile morphing to take up my entire face. "Jason."
He beamed back at me the second his name left my lips, the two of us gravitating towards each other until his vigilante phone started blaring again and Jason rolled his eyes.
"I better go. But I'll see you... this Friday? Pick you up at six?"
I nodded. "It's a date."
Jason grinned, his eyes darting back to me every few seconds as he collected his things. We agreed to just keep each other's books until Friday since we wouldn't get to finish reading them together tonight, making Jason the first person I'd ever trusted with my only copy of a book. Our goodbye took longer than it should've since he had explosions to deal with and we were seeing each other again in a few days, but neither of us could bear to part any faster. And when the front door finally shut, it was hours before I actually wiped the smile off my face.
Who could've guessed something positive would come out of one of my most obnoxious bad days to date, let alone someone as wonderful as Jason?

Wedding Date Daniel
Pairing: Danny Wagner x Female Reader
Warnings: None, it's literally just tooth-rotting fluff
“Babe, are you sure I look ok?” You asked as you finished touching up your makeup. You’d originally planned to get into town yesterday for your cousin’s wedding, but Nashville had terrible storms the night before and no flights were getting in or out. You were now stressed about getting ready since you’d only been able to get in a few hours ago and the wedding was fast approaching.
“Sweetheart, how many times do I have to tell you, you look incredible,” Danny told you. Admittedly, the backless black dress you’d picked was very flattering, but you looked so exhausted no amount of makeup could make you look more human.
“I feel like you have to say that,” you said. You were convinced you looked like a gremlin who had slept at the airport the night before (because you were), and it was incurable.
“10/10, would gladly bang? Is that better?”He laughed. You lightly smacked him on the arm, though you appreciated the compliment more than you wanted to let on.
“You’re disgusting, you’re lucky you’re cute”
“In all seriousness baby, you don’t have to worry, I promise. Now, me on the other hand-”
“We talked about this, honey, are you worried my family isn’t gonna like you?”
“I dunno. I’ve only ever met your brother, your whole extended family is quite the jump”
“And they’ll love you, I know they will”
Danny shot you a look, and you could tell that he was more nervous about meeting your family than he would ever say.
“Honey, you have nothing to worry about. My brother loved you, and we had a great time when he came to Nashville over the summer.”
“Yeah, but your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins…”
“Don’t forget the pets, my cousin’s dog will absolutely be part of the wedding,” you laughed. You could tell that hadn’t eased his mind at all, so you sat down next to him and grabbed his cheek so you could pull him to face you.
“Listen Danny, I won’t sugar coat it, my family is a lot. There’s a lot of us, we’re loud, we like to party, and I promise everyone will be all over you. Everyone is really excited to meet you though, they’ve been telling me since you agreed to be my plus one. It’s gonna be great, by the time we get to the reception, you’ll forget you were ever nervous.” You leaned your forehead against his and kissed him on the nose.
“I also happen to really like you and can’t wait to show you off to my family.” You kissed him again, and this time he laid down to pull you on top of him.
“I hate to cut this short, babe, but we should probably call our Uber soon. The ceremony starts in a little over an hour. Don’t worry, we’ll pick up where we left off when we get back tonight.”
“I’m already looking forward to going home with the best looking girl at this wedding”
Danny grabbed his phone to order the Uber, but thankfully it was within arm’s reach so you could keep him pinned to the bed until you absolutely needed to leave.
A few hours after and the reception was in full swing. The ceremony had been uneventful, save for a few of your family members accosting you the second they saw you. It was a huge wedding though, and because you arrived on the later side, you were able to be seated towards the back.
“At least you’ll have a chance to ease into this” you said as you both sat down. There was no need to be worried, though, like you expected. Danny fit right in with your family immediately and everyone would tell you later how much they liked him. You even lost him a few times throughout the night, finding him talking to various relatives.
“You having a good time?” You asked as the dinner and speeches were wrapping up and people were starting to move towards the dance floor.
“Yeah! Your family’s pretty great”
“I knew they’d love you. Now as happy as that makes me, come spend a little time with your girlfriend please”
“Of course, baby. Wanna go get a drink refill and we can hit the dance floor?”
“Yes please”
Just as you guys made your way to the dance floor, the bride was about to throw the bouquet. You never understood the hype of this tradition, but you played along anyway and stood to the back of the floor.
“What, don’t wanna catch it?” Danny laughed in your ear.
“Eh, I just don’t care as much as everyone else I guess. Do you know who many bouquets I’ve caught at weddings? People have certainly gotten married before me.” What you didn’t expect was your cousin’s new wife had an ARM on her. Despite being in the back of the crowd, she hurled it far enough it made it directly to you.
“Oh that was so on purpose” Danny pointed out. You had to admit, it did feel aimed.
“What can I say, I think my family already decided they wanna keep you around”
“Good, I’m not intending to go anywhere.”
The rest of the night was a fun, drunken blur. Your family really knew how to throw a party, and this had to be the most fun wedding you’ve ever been to. By the last slow dance of the night, your shoes had long since been taken off and you were leaning into Danny, partially because you wanted to be as close to him as possible (you were very affectionate when you drank), and also because the room was spinning just the tiniest bit.
“You ok, darling?”
“‘M fine, those cocktails were just a lot stronger than I thought they’d be. The first one tasted so watered down!”
“You wanna go sit?”
“No, I’m good, I promise.” As soon as the song ended, the room was filled with cheers as the opening chords of Don’t Stop Believin’ started playing. You were nothing if not a sucker for 80s music, and you suddenly felt much better than you had a few minutes ago.
After a couple of songs played and the bride and groom were sent in their way, you managed to catch a ride back to the hotel with some of your cousins. In an attempt to avoid the surged Uber prices, you’d squeezed five people into the back seat, and you’re pretty sure someone had also put themselves in the back hatch of the car. It was a good thing you didn’t mind squeezing onto Danny’s lap at all. You leaned back against the window and shifted so you were laying your head on his chest as best as you could in the cramped backseat.
“Hi” you giggled as you looked up at him, the fact you were shoved in this clown car the funniest thing in your still drunken state.
“Hi yourself” he pulled you as tight to him as he could. “You still doing ok?"
“Mhmm, just really tired.” You had a decently long drive back to the hotel, seeing as the wedding venue was beautiful, but kind of in the middle of nowhere. You made yourself comfortable and were out before the stuffed car left the lot. You’d drunkenly insisted on bringing the bouquet you’d caught home with you, clutching it while you slept. You guys hadn’t been together all that long, coming up on a year in a few months, but something changed that night. After meeting your family, seeing you interact with everyone (including the kids and the dog who was, in fact part of the wedding party), and surviving sleeping on the floor of the Nashville airport together, he knew and he couldn’t stop thinking about it as he watched you sleep. He wouldn’t ask for a while, but he knew that you were the one. He was more excited to see you get excited about the bouquet than he wanted to admit since it seemed both to you were on the same page.
Lost in thought, the hotel came up sooner than expected.
“Honey, time to go,” he nudged you gently. As you groggily realized where you were, everyone else was already discussing plans to go have a nightcap at the hotel bar before heading up.
“Danny you guys in?” asked your brother, who had become Danny’s biggest fan at the wedding.
“I don’t know, probably not? Babe, do you wanna go hang out at the lobby bar before we go to bed?”
“No, I wanna sleep” you tried to burrow your way back into his chest.
“Yeah, I think we’ll pass tonight, but we’re still here for another day if you wanna do something tomorrow?”
“Sure thing, man. See you guys tomorrow, I hope. She’ll be a mess.” Danny waved to your brother and went back to trying to get you out of the car.
“Babe, you’ve gotta get up, we’re home.”
“I’m too tired, we have to go all the way to the top floor. Stay here,” you slurred.
“We can’t sleep in your cousin’s car, sweetie. Tell you what, can you let me out and I’ll carry you up?”
“Fine,” you agreed as you shifted off his lap. You managed to take a few steps out of the car, regretting the round of shots you’d been talked into five minutes before bar close. You hooked your arms around Danny’s neck and he grabbed your legs, carrying you inside.
“God this is embarrassing” you laughed as you leaned into his neck.
“Babe, I’ve seen much worse at weddings, trust me, this is tame.” When you got up to the room he made sure you had water and ibuprofen, and he managed to find some vending machine snacks for you in hopes it would soak up some of the alcohol.
“Ok, where are your pjs?” He dug through your suitcase, astounded by how much you squeezed into a carry on.
“Um, about that. I kinda didn’t pack any?”
“Do you want the leggings you wore on the plane?”
“I can’t sleep in pants, you know that.” You started laughing “I might have bought a couple new lingerie sets and planned to sleep in those…well nothing, preferably. We can still….if you wanna”
“Babe, I love you so much and trust me, I wanna see them, but you’re so so drunk right now. Let me grab one of my shirts and you can sleep in it ok?” He grabbed his well-worn Church of Rock & Roll shirt out of his bag and helped you change into it. Once he’d gotten himself taken care of, he came into bed and you immediately clung onto him like a koala.
“Have I told you how much I love you?” you said into his neck.
“A few times, but I never get sick of hearing it. Go to sleep angel, i don’t want you to get sick tomorrow” he had a feeling he’d probably still end up waking up with you in a few hours to hold your hair while you puked, but he could hope.
“Ok, I love you, I can’t wait to get married”
“What was that babe?”
“Well, I caught the bouquet so we have to get married next,” you drifted off to sleep, and Danny already knew you’d have no recollection of saying that tomorrow. He agreed though, and hoped you meant it when you said you couldn’t wait to get married.

Belly Dancer - 2
Tumblr media
You stood there by the pool in a short black shorts and a red tank top, the water looked so clear. Jack had come to ask if you wanted to drink anything, and you asked him for a tea with milk. You felt Harry’s figure stand next to you, still in his black suit.
Your eyes never met his, or his figure and he hated having mixed signals like that. He asked in a soft voice, “Why did you break the theme of the party?”
You grinned, you thought he’d ask you that question.
“Because I like feeling special, if a hundred people are wearing black, I should wear red. I am the dancer; I should always be popping from the crowd.” You answered, truthfully.
The water looked so clear, but your mind didn’t. Like a million-fireball burning your mind alive. You felt heartache, something you tried to not feel, but failed terribly. And, you felt heavy, the only way to lighten up was to dance.
“Would you like to dance with me, Harry?” You asked, softly looking at him in the eyes.
He nodded, slightly taken aback. You put one hand on his shoulder and the other held his own hand, while your head rested on his chest.
He felt the softness of your skin with his hand that was on your waist. You felt him rest his cheek on the top of your head as you both swayed softly to the silence.
“You look sad, y/n.” It sounded more like he was spelling facts than asking the reason why.
“Because I am sad, Harry.” You mumbled.
He sighed, he kind of knew that he can’t ask you the reason why. The idea of asking you to dinner popped in his head again, “Y/N, would you like to go out with me for dinner tomorrow?”
You raised your head from his chest, “Is it like a date or what?”
“Yes, I want to get to know you.” He smiled when he saw a smile takes its way on your lips.
Jack had brought you your tea and that was when you stepped away from Harry just a little, “Thank you, Jack, you’ve been very helpful.” You said to Jack who gave you a smile and a nod and left.
“Do you use that pool or is it for decoration?” You asked Harry, looking at the tempting water.
“Actually, we do, maybe we could take a dive in on another day.” He answered, and quickly you pulled yourself away from him completely to sit in your chair.
Harry took a seat by you and without even asking, he took your tea cup and took a sip.
“Don’t drink it, it’s so hot.” He said putting down the cup and you smiled at him.
“Maybe I should just ask them to not make it so hot.” You said mostly to yourself.
“Don’t! I like tasting it for you.” Your smile grew wider at his words.
You swallowed the lump in your throat, “I’m sorry, Harry, I shouldn’t have snapped at you earlier. It’s just I’m not the kind of person to sleep around or anything like that. I don’t like male attention.”
“I thought that was what belly dancing is all about, male attention?”
“No, Harry. It is not only about male attention, it is more about femininity, the way women were created, soft breasts, fleshy waist, silky bellies. Women were created in a way different than men and the belly dancing is something that shows off this difference.”
“But there are male belly dancers, at least that’s what I heard.”
“That’s true, but I don’t like watching them as much. They miss the feminine beauty, and that’s not their fault, but I like having an art that is only made by women.”
“But men could dance, too.”
“I’m not disagreeing here, but women have things that men don’t, women are sexier whether you like it or not. Belly dancing is about this sexiness and beauty, not just some muscles going around in circles, so leave it the fuck alone. If you want to wear a suit and dance, I’m not gonna stop you, but I won’t like watching because you’d take away something really critical from this art. I’ll just see a pair of balls running around.” You started getting annoyed, but he actually loved every second of you speaking your mind. Plus, he laughed at your last sentence.
“Okay, okay! I was just asking, you’re the pro here.” He grinned.
“I am! I’ve been busting my ass out to get where I am now.”
“Tell me about it.”
“What do you want to know?”
“How did you learn belly dancing?”
You sighed, “My home country is known for this art since the beginning of history, each ‘State’ has its own way of belly dancing, I had to watch a million clip of different types of belly dancing so I could do them all. Women there dance in every celebration, weddings, bachelorette parties, birthdays, any thing you could think of. I was actually pretty talented, when I was young like five years old, I used to watch authentic belly dancers in pretty suits and imitate them with my mother’s scarves. I started dancing in front of my relatives occasionally and everyone told me that I’m talented. By time, I felt more confident and knew that this is what I wanted to do. And here I am, a professional belly dancer.”
“And how old are you, pro dancer?” He asked giving you a warm smile as he took another sip of your tea, “It’s warm now, drink.”
You took your cup in your hands and sipped from the same place that had Harry’s lips.
“I’m 24. And you?”
“29. Too old, aren’t I?”
“Yeah, I can see your grey hairs from over here.” You answered, smiling. He knew by then that you were sarcastic and loved making sarcastic comments, and boy he loved every second of listening to you speak.
“Is there a party tomorrow?” You asked, drinking from your cup.
“No, tomorrow’s off. But I’d like you to know that tomorrow you’re going to have to give me a private dance.” He smirked.
“Is that an order? You know I’m not good with orders.” You smirked back. Two people could play this game.
“No, it is not an order, y/n. If you don’t want to, it’s fine.” He softened his smile a little which made you smile back.
“Then, I’m all yours tomorrow.” You finished the sentence and the ‘I’m all yours’ made him twitch a little in his pants.
You drank the last sip of your tea and stood up, “I should go to sleep,”
“Okay.”
When you were about to go away, he stopped you, “What did you mean by a lioness, y/n?”
You grinned, “A lioness in my country is a girl who could attract guys sexually so easily. And I like attracting you, Harry.”
His smirk widened and nodded at you, “Good night, lioness.”
“Good night, Gatsby.”
--
Harry sat in his office. His desk was wide and wooden, his chair was black leather. Behind his chair was this wide painting of Samson and Delilah, he loved that painting and every detail of it.
“The party you’re throwing tomorrow is the one where we need to get this deal done, Harry. Ray is going to be there; we need to make sure that we are the ones that take that deal.” Michael started; he was sitting at the couch.
“I know, Mike.”
“What are you thinking about?” Michael raised a brow, not trusting that grin that crept on Harry’s face.
“Nothing.”
“Bullshit! Is this about y/n? Oh my god did you fuck her?”
“What? No! She’s giving me a private performance today, that’s all. Plus, we’re having dinner. I’m kind of excited. She is bugging my curiosity, man.”
“I completely understand, H. But, please, we need to focus on getting Ray on our side. Stop getting so.. fluffy.”
--
You didn’t know where Harry was going to take you for dinner, but you thought that you were going to dress whatever you want, not caring if you were overdressed or underdressed.
You put on a black tight dress, it was a long one with your back on full display, it hid your cleavage but you were still too curvy for people to not notice your breasts. Your legs showed from behind as the dress had this cut so you could walk easily.
You felt comfortable leaving your hair as it is, but you had to put your hair in a high pony tail. Last thing was your clutch and high heels, you chose a red clutch and red shining high heels.
Once you were done with your makeup, you heard ringing, you answered and it was Jack telling you that Mr. Styles is waiting for you outside.
You got out of the elevator and out the door of the mansion to find Harry waiting for you in a white dress shirt and black pants, his shirt had a few buttons undone, enough for you to see some of the tattoos he had, you felt overdressed a little, but you looked good so whatever.
On the other hand, Harry’s got his eyes fixed on you. He’d seen many beautiful girls before, it’s not something new, but how you attracted him made you a hundred times better in his eyes.
“You look beautiful, as usual.” He smiled at you, especially when he looked at the red lipstick you had on.
“Well, I know, but you look handsome, too, as usual.” You smirked and went for your car, without looking back.
“Where are you going, y/n? We’re driving my car.”
“No, I was thinking of taking a drive around the hill after we’re done with dinner, since there are no cops around, I can go as fast as I can.” You smirked, looking at him.
“Well, we can drive mine.” He raised the keys to his car and once you laid eyes on the logo and the car behind him that you didn’t notice until then, you walked towards him and stop just when you were about to pass him towards that car.
“You’re so convincing.” You playfully hit his shoulder with yours, enough to let his smirk widen. Then you went on your way to his car and opened the door to the passenger seat.
The drive was silent, but Harry had to break the silence.
“Did I tell you how beautiful you look?”
“Just once, not enough to be honest.” You smirked.
“Oh, so you like complements?”
“I do, who doesn’t?”
--
You sat at a table in this fancy restaurant, you couldn’t tell him that you hated fancy restaurants, but he felt it after you were done ordering your food.
There was this green plant on the table that you played with in silence, while he observed every little detail of you.
“Why the long face, love?” He asked, sipping from his glass of wine.
“You want me to be honest with you?” You asked back, sipping from your glass.
“Yes, if you don’t mind.”
“I don’t like fancy places.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because they make me feel so small. I used to go to fancy places and I always find the people there different from me.”
“So what do you like then?”
“I could show you when we’re done with our food, okay?” You smiled.
“Okay, only if you answer one more question,” He said grinning, “What do you like doing besides dancing?”
“Um, I like drawing, surreal drawings actually. Reading is something I’m incredibly fond of, as well. What about you?”
Just when you finished the food was there. You thanked the waitress and started diving in.
“I like art, too. But my job doesn’t let me focus on it, anymore.” He answered, diving in his food as well.
“What’s your job?”
He cleared his throat; he didn’t know if it would drive you away.
“Weapons.”
“Oh, cool, but not too cool.”
‘What?!’ he thought to himself.
“You’re not afraid or weirded by it?” He asked sipping from his drink.
“Should I be? No, Harry, I’m not. I think you should do what you love whatever it was, I just hope that you’re not making the world a worse place.”
He was amazed with how you sounded so cool with it.
“Do you have pictures of your drawings?” He asked, swallowing his food.
“OH, yeah!” You squeaked and pulled your phone.
You felt so enthusiastic and he noticed.
You swiped and showed him some of your drawings, “This was a project called ‘Faces’ I drew all kinds of creepy faces I could think of.”
“Wait, what does this one refer to?” He pointed at one drawing that had a sad smile and wide eyes.
“Uh, this was my face when I was 20. I had fallen in love for the last time then.” You answered locking your phone and got back to your food.
“What happened?” He asked, feeling more curious by the second.
“He was the person I loved most, I felt like there was no one like him. I felt loved, uh, and that was a big fat lie. He dumped me right after we made out. He didn’t tell me a reason why he wanted to end things. I kept calling him trying to know the reason why, but he wouldn’t even answer. I just wanted to know why, there was no red flag and then all of the sudden he fell out of love? That was not convincing at the time.” You sipped from your glass, “I kept screaming, crying, falling apart for over a year. Had nightmares about him every night, and I couldn’t take it anymore. I left the country and decided that I couldn’t fall in love again.”
He put his finger under your chin, “You didn’t deserve it, you only deserve beautiful things. I’m sorry that happened, but don’t push people away from you.”
It felt real, like someone could actually feel what you felt.
“What about you? Have you ever fallen in love?”
He pulled his finger, “I have, couple of times. But I can’t find someone that I like enough to stay with.”
When you were finished with dinner and stopped by his car you looked at him, “Why don’t you let me take you somewhere I like?”
You both smirked at each other and he threw you the keys. You got into the driver seat and took off your high heels, you noticed that he was looking at your feet, specifically at your golden anklet.
“What? I don’t like driving with high heels on.” You said, and drove.
You took him to a carnival that you knew and got out of the car without your heels.
“Let’s ride the Ferris wheel!” You said, taking off your hair tie, letting your hair fall down.
He watched you as you lifted the long part of your dress so it wouldn’t bother you. He widened his eyes as he saw you running towards the wheel, barefoot, hair everywhere.
You turned around to look at him and ran backwards, “C’mon, Gatsby!”
He grinned and took off his shoes and threw them somewhere and ran towards you.
You raced to the Ferris wheel and sat together. The lights were getting smaller and smaller, everything looked more beautiful from afar.
“I’ll ask you for something weird.” You said, out of nowhere, and he nodded. “I want you to teach me how to use a gun.”
“You want to kill me if I bother you again? No, I want to stay alive.” He laughed and you laughed with him.
“Okay then, I’ll promise you that if you teach me, I’ll think twice before killing you.”
He laughed and didn’t realize that he kissed your temple, you flinched a little but appreciated that kiss. He pulled away, your hair’s smell in his nose.
When you went down, you stopped at an ice cream cart, Harry got you chocolate cone and he got himself a vanilla one.
“Want a taste?” You asked him as you raised your cone to his mouth.
He took a little of yours and gave you his ice cream to taste.
“Mmm, it’s so good. But I prefer chocolate.” You said, “I think vanilla suits you.”
“You mean I’m vanilla?” He asked finishing his cone.
“Yes, you are.” You stuck your tongue out.
“You bitch!” He exclaims playfully as you hit his nose with the rest of your ice cream. You ran away laughing and holding your long dress so you don’t fall, he ran after you till you stopped at his car.
“Let’s take the impulsive drive you promised me.” You smile, opening the driver seat.
“Let’s do it!”
You drove around the hill, fast enough to get Harry to hold onto everything around him in fear for his life.
You rolled down the windows and let the wind take your hair with it. You screamed happily at the top of your lungs.
“You’re crazy, y/n!” He screamed, laughing.
“Shut up, wuss!” You laughed back.
You pulled over right in front of the mansion, got out, and when Harry got out you threw him his keys. You made your way to the mansion until he stopped you, “What about today’s performance?”
“What floor are you on?” You asked looking at him, hair a little fuzzy from all the wind.
“The third.” He answered getting closer to you.
“I’ll get into one of my suits and meet you.” Just when you were about to go in, he held your arm.
“I want you to dance in this dress.” He said, softly.
You smiled at him; you were thinking that you should give him what he wanted this time for a change.
“Your wish is my command.”
--
You both went to the third floor, his floor was a replica of your floor, but you didn’t mind. He made his way to the kitchen to get you both two glasses of wine.
You stood in the living room, observing the painting hanging on the wall. He stood next to you, looking at the painting with you after he gave you your glass. He was happy that he had fun, a different kind of fun he had never had in a long time. He didn’t stop you from doing anything crazy that day, and that attracted you to him, instead he did crazy things with you, too.
“Sit, Harry.” You ordered and he obliged.
He sat down on the couch, and you went through your phone to connect them with the sound system in the living room. You chose your song, you were barefoot. Probably threw your heels somewhere you didn’t know; he too left his shoes at the carnival.
The song started and you closed your eyes as one of the spaghetti straps fell from your shoulder.
You raised your arms over your head and started dancing with your belly in a slow motion. You gave him your back and got your hair out of the way and made a wide circle with your waist, your ass was right in front of him.
He sat there with a glass of wine in his hand, his dick getting harder by the second, his thighs are away from each other and he didn’t need to hide his boner so you could notice. He bit his lip when you held your hair in one hand and started getting closer to him with your belly going up and down.
You took one of his hands in yours and the other held his glass of wine. You rested the glass next to yours on the coffee table.
His chest was stuck to your back, he could feel your ass touching him from time to time as you swayed it.
“What does this song say?” He whispered in your ear as he was dancing with you with a hand on your belly.
“It says, ‘She was difficult, but with me she was easy’.” You said, grinning.
“What are you with me, y/n?” He asked, trying not to devour you.
“I plan on becoming easier with you.” You turned to look at him, not stopping dancing for once.
He got closer to you, held your figure in his arms which made you stop dancing but your smile never left your face.
The song ended, you stood there in silence, looking at each other’s eyes. His eyes were eating you alive.
“Are you gonna kiss me or what?” You asked hitting his chest softly.
He got his lips closer to yours, “Do you want me to?”
You sighed, “I do.”

I read your recent post , and I have a prompt idea, steve and bucky are married and want to add peter, but he doesn't know and thinks they are just being nice to him while in reality they are flirting with him, i know perhaps it has been done before but I really like this kind of fics so i tought i would ask. Thank you 🙂
It started out simple. Steve and Bucky both individually inviting Peter out to different outings. Coffee shops, art galleries, car shows, breakfast here lunch there.
Then as a couple taking Peter out to dinners, dates to Coney Island, walks through central park. Of course Peter didn't think much of it. He knew that Steve and Bucky were together so he never allowed to himself to think that they could be trying to flirt/date with him.
So what if sometimes they all cuddle together on the couch for movie night. Or how Steve is always running his fingers through his hair. Bucky holding his hand on walks. Even when he leaves for the night they kiss him on the cheek after they walk him to his door.
Its even to where they call/facetime him when they don't hang out. And that one time when that Peter managed to convince them to go clubbing. After someone one tried to buy Peter a drink and they got extremely overprotective. They all three danced together with Peter smushed between them. Peter thought maybe alcohol was finally affecting him and his memory of that night.
And maybe Steve and Bucky thought that Peter was on board already til Peter was having a no good terrible rotten worst day ever. He lets it slip out that he is tired of being alone. Hated his lonely twin mattress, how he wished he had someone like how Steve and Bucky have each other.
" Doll, we have been dating you for months, didn't you know?"
" Queens, we don't invite just anyone to date night or to have sleepovers"
" Oh. ... but what...no. ummm.... really? "
" Doll we got to have a serious talk. You even have a draw of clothes at our place"
" Hey! I thought ya was just being nice! "

I have several little prompts or ones shot short ficlet like this BUT I LOVE these types of scenarios! Which is why I always play around with it! Hope you liked it!

Your friends pushed you out of the club, all of you laughing, hands clutched around your waists as loud, drunken giggles fill in the night air. It was a wild night; your friends invited you to the club to take your mind off your stupid boyfriend. You thought you’d end up moping around, too much of a buzzkill to ever let loose because it wasn’t that easy to stop thinking about him, but even you were surprised when you started grinding with people on the dance floor just three drinks later.
The gals were more than delighted to see you enjoying your night, only dragging you out the club when you nearly shoved your tongue down another man’s throat.
Scratch that – your friends called you to hang out because you lied about having a shitty day at work. You’ve had your fair share of shitty days, but you were one of the most prominent lawyers in your firm, no one dared gave you a bad day. Your subordinates knew that if they even looked your way without your permission, you wouldn’t hesitate to dump paperwork on them, or assign them to the nastiest cases just to piss them off.
Yeah, you were sort of a bitch, but you didn’t care.
It took a lot to get where you were now. It wasn’t easy to be a woman in a male-dominated workplace and you were forced to strip your softness off, replacing it with hard armor and sharp tongue concealed under bold red lips, a tight pencil skirt that accentuated your curves, and a pair of black suede pumps.
You deserved all your success. You were smart, stunning, confident, powerful – so then why did you feel like shit around your shitty boyfriend?
The answer was loud and clear. It bothered you to no end that he wanted to keep your relationship a secret because his family was too different from yours, coming up with a shitty excuse that you were just “too different.” He never bothered explaining, and every time you confronted him about, he’d only wave his hand, distract you with those delicious and soft lips of his until you forget it over and over again.
You were okay with it at first. It wasn’t a really serious relationship; you only started dating him because you saw yourself a lot in him – confident, self-assured, maybe even a little cocky – plus, he was extremely attractive.
But the longer you spent time with him, you were beginning to fall in love.
Yes, you, the ice princess of one of the most respected law firms all over the city was beginning to soften up at a certain blue-eyed man who had magical hands.
But tonight – tonight you’d forget about him.
Your stomach was heavy with expensive liquor and you were nearly staggering on your knees, the only thing preventing you from falling were your more sober friends. The others were holding you close to keep you upright, while one of your friends moved to a quieter part of the block to call an Uber for you. Your friends were all happily married, some with children, so they couldn’t really stay out too late at night and chaperone you all the way back home.
You were well-aware you were being a bother, but fuck, couldn’t you lean on someone for just once? Sighing, you leaned closer to your warm friend, mumbling something about wanting to forget about everything you’ve been through.
“There, there,” she patted your head comfortingly, “You’ll be fine, babe, you’re a strong woman. I know you’ll get through this.”
“But I hate it,” you drunkenly admitted, lips trembling the more you thought about him, every stupid little thing about him – his soft white hair, those pretty blue eyes he always hid under shades even at night, his large, calloused hands that always felt so rough when keeping your legs open for him and you couldn’t even start talking about his cock, he was just so blessed and perfect in every little thing that you hated it. You hated him. “I don’t like this feeling,” you sniffled, “I feel like I’m being looked down on, that I’m being pushed to the side. I feel unimportant, like I’m not good enough.”
“Who said you aren’t?”
You froze in your friend’s arms, eyes meeting with those blue ones you could never get enough of. As if noticing your silence, your friend immediately covers you with her arm, glaring at your boyfriend. “Do we know you or something?”
“No,” Satoru replies coolly, brows furrowed in the state you were in. You turned away from him with a scoff, arms crossed on your chest. Why did he have to be here out of all places? Wasn’t he busy with work or whatever family shit he apparently couldn’t tell you about even though you’ve both been dating for a year and a half now? He just wasn’t giving you a break, and the hairs on your arm stood up when he said, “Not that you have to, but may I please drive Y/N home?”
“She’s not going anywhere—”
“She’s a friend of mine,” he insisted, turning to you with a pleading look in his eyes. You almost melted. Almost. “I need to talk to her about something.”
You rolled your eyes and stepped forward, your friend’s arm latching onto yours. You could tell she was worried from the way her gaze darted back and forth between you two. Satoru was, after all, clearly uninvited, and he didn’t seem like your type either. You always insisted you preferred refined man, men like his friend Nanami Kento, but alas, you were stuck dating this one instead.
“It’s fine,” you told her with a fake smile, “I’ll call you later when I get home.”
You never got to call her – simply because you didn’t make it home. The moment Satoru closed the car doors behind you, you both got into a heated argument. Satoru hated silences and always made sure the car was filled with music, but this time, he didn’t notice there weren’t any songs when you opened your mouth.
Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was the anger and pent-up tension of not being able to hold him and kiss him in public like normal couples did, in addition to the fact Satoru never explained why he insisted on keeping you a secret – whatever it was, you just snapped.
I don’t even understand why I’m still dating you!” you huffed, legs crossed on top of the other as you gazed out the window. Lips trembling, you tried so hard to not cry, especially not in front of the man who was breaking your heart. “This is hardly a relationship when I’m not free to call or text you as you please, when I can’t go out with you on dates and we’re always hanging in my apartment. I’m your girlfriend, Satoru, we’ve been together for a long time but I honestly don’t even feel like it. What the hell are we dating for then?”
Satoru clenched his teeth, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. “How many times do I have to tell you that I love you,” he said coolly, acting unbothered and unaffected as ever, but the clench in his jaw said otherwise. “If that’s not enough—”
“Of course it’s not enough!”
“I’m trying here too, okay?” Satoru slammed on the brakes and parked on a desolated spot, hands running through his hair while he breathed heavily. Once he’d calmed down, he shook his head, refusing to look you in the eye like a man. “I’m trying my best. It’s just hard. It isn’t as easy as it looks.”
“What isn’t easy as it looks? Dating me? Letting the whole world know I’m yours?” when Satoru didn’t respond, you scoffed, patience running low and thin. “You’re pathetic, Satoru. Dating you was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done, and I thought I was a smart woman.”
With a shake of your head, you slung your purse over your shoulder and reached for the car door. You were about to leave when Satoru suddenly pulled you towards him, his lips slamming into yours.  Like always, you fell into his trap, into the blissful pleasure that was his lips and his hands, and you hated it, hated him, hated him so fucking much because you were so tired of his entire existence.
You wanted to let him know he was insufferable.
You wanted him to feel the pain and misery he put you through.
“I fucking hate you,” you snarled as Satoru kept fucking into you, the entire car windows fogged and the vehicle shaking. “I wish I never met you, you asshole,” Satoru, displeased, only buries himself deeper into you, as if they would erase his mistakes and shortcomings.
Satoru’s large hands snake to your waist and onto your breasts, expertly tweaking them between his fingers. Your head fell back to the crook of his shoulder, your back pressed against his hard chest as Satoru trapped you in his strong arms, impaling you on his cock over and over again. “You’re lying,” he whispered into your neck, tongue and teeth playfully sucking at the tender flesh. His grip on your hip was bruising and possessive, and your breasts bounced fervently at how he snapped his hips upwards to feel your walls coat him and hug him tightly and warmly. “Why would you hate me, sweet girl? Don’t I always make you feel good? Don’t I remind you enough that you’re the best fucking thing ever?”
You didn’t respond right away, your breath taken away with how you could never get enough of this, of him. He was right no matter how much you denied it. Despite being terrible in everything else, Satoru knew and respected you, even admired your dominance and intelligence when other men were intimidated by it.
No, he worshipped you. He made you feel like you were a divine goddess when he tugged at your hair to tilt your cheek to him, his tongue slithering to your lips to taste himself on his tongue from when you previously busted his nut with just your mouth.
Lipsticks smeared on his cheeks and crescent moons on his pale thigh from your nails, Satoru looked wonderful beneath you like this.
He was beautiful, so damn beautiful, but it didn’t change the fact he’d put you through hell these past few weeks.
No, it wasn’t just the past few weeks. Things were always complicated with him. He was perfect in everything else but when it came to you, he made it a mission to hide you and your relationship, changing your contact name to a totally random one “just in case.”
Your mind was confuzzled and you felt like you were on the urge of breaking apart from both his ministrations and his confusing treatment over you. Before you knew it, you were kissing him back fervently with the intensity of your hatred over this man.
Your hand reached his to guide it to rub at your clit, and Satoru, eager to make you feel good as always, happily obliged. Satoru kept bouncing you on his cock until you were too overwhelmed to speak, crying and mumbling incomprehensible words.
Him, only him, would ever have the ability to let the sharp-tongued and intelligent woman who never bat an eye in court lose her wide vocabulary, falling apart in his arms while his long length abused your puffy lips.
“You made me feel like shit,” you finally admitted, tugging at his hair until Satoru is lowly groaning at the slight sting. But did you care? Of course you didn’t. You wanted to hurt him too.
“How so, sweet girl?”
“I can never have you the way I want,” you answered through gritted teeth, moaning out when Satoru suddenly thrusted too deep, hitting your most sensitive spot that had you quivering in his hold. “You don’t—” you gasped, “You don’t understand what I feel, how you make me feel like I’m never good enough for you. That’s the reason why you don’t want anyone else knowing, right? ‘Cause I’m not good enough for you, never gonna be good—”
Satoru didn’t let you finish your words, shutting you up with his cock instead. The vehicle shook uncontrollably with your mating sessions, and Satoru silences you by pulling at your leg to press it on his chest instead.
The sudden switch in positions had your muscles tensing and stretching, adding only to both your pleasures with the new thrown in factor of slight pain. You felt Satoru kiss your neck down to your shoulders, scraping his canines until you were absolutely lost. You gave in, you gave up, head lolling back next to his loving lips that murmured sweet nothings.
“Not true, sweet girl,” he reminded you, flattening you on his cock and making you roll your hips while you slid up and down his pole sensually. Unlike the previous pace, the slow sensation of your pussy hugging his cock with your arousal letting him slide in easily allowed you to feel every part of him, almost mind-wrecking at how good he’s able to make you feel even after such a long time of having him already.
“You’re the sexiest and most intelligent woman I’ve ever met, the best, the absolute blessing of my life, and I just want to protect you, sweet girl. You’re too precious for me to lose,” Satoru kept mumbling over and over again.
You could no longer process his words functionally, not when he’s slamming you down his length like that and burying himself in you as if he didn’t want to be anywhere else.
Satoru’s hands were still curious, appreciative and gentle as he runs his hands, dipping into all your curves and pressing into your most sensitive spots the way you liked it.
“You’re always so good for me so no, sweet girl, never gonna let you go, not when you’re so perfect for me,” Satoru eased your worries – temporarily – with his words, and you’d believe his lie, you’d fall into the same mistakes over and over again because you were just that weak and powerless when it came to him. “You’re made just for me, sweet girl, you’re the prettiest and your pussy is the prettiest – I worship you, I adore you. You’re so divine.”
You blamed it all on your ego.
He praised you so well, made you feel so good and always placed you on top of the world when he’s inside you like this. Even if you knew he’d knock you down the pedestal just hours later, you opened your doors for him all over again.
Satoru knew this too, because he rammed inside your walls and ruined everything that you held firm beliefs in, his large hands smacking your ass to urge you to bounce on him like you weren’t made for any other purpose than to be the woman he adored.
You lied to yourself – you always did – but did you care? So what if you couldn’t be the one he really loved? What did it all matter when you were the one he worshipped?
For the sake of the praise and the compliments, you’d let him fuck you and play with your heart over and over again. It was a toxic routine you’d never get tired of, and you no longer complained, forgetting about everything he’d done and every heartbreak he caused you because he was there, whispering into your ears how good you made him feel and how you were the only one made to take him, and you didn’t care. Not anymore – not when you were worshipped.

I HATE WHEN BOYS CRY
Tumblr media
You heard your phone ring breaking your train of thought. Bradley lay next to you in bed completely oblivious of the sound. You were grateful for that because you knew how utterly exhausted he was, emotionally and physically. Last night he had surprised you with a knock on the door announcing his arrival. He had returned from the mission you couldn’t know about. With just one look at his face you knew something had gone terribly wrong. When he leaned in to hug you the first thing you noticed were the small cuts on the side of his neck. He had one on each side. You crinkled your eyebrows. The second thing you noticed was the residual smell of smoke still clinging to his skin and hair. Your eyes went wide but you had to hide it. You looked down at the caller ID and felt the rushing sense of relief.
Mom
You picked it up quickly. “Hello?” You said quietly.
“Hey baby, I got your text last night. Sorry I couldn’t call back sooner. Everything ok?” She wondered. You could tell she was concerned.
“Hold on, let me go somewhere I can be louder.” You told her quickly.
“He still sleeping?” She countered with a chuckle.
“Yeah.” You replied simply as you tried to get your legs free from the tangle of the sheets. You were transferring the weight to your feet when his hand reached out and grabbed your wrist tightly. His strength even in his sleep was overpowering. You knew he was still out cold but he had managed to keep that reflex in tact. He had developed one just for you over the many years you’ve dated each other. He didn’t like to be left, not after a mission. Not after one like this. You knew that you just didn’t want to wake him by talking too loud. You slid back into bed knowing you weren’t going anywhere anyway. He had such a grip on you it felt like you were handcuffed. You smiled as you settled back in next to him. He placed his head on your thigh and sighed.
“Ugh hold on.” You breathed out into the phone. You waited a moment before you heard him resume snoring.
“Mom?” You asked.
“Yes baby.” She replied. Her voice soothed you already.
“It was horrible.” You admitted feeling the tears prickling in the back of your eyes.
“Just start from the beginning.”she calmed you down. She could always tell by the tiniest inflection in your voice if you were experiencing anxiety.
“He came home and kind of stood in the doorway. He didn’t want to come in. He was stuck it seemed.” You began to tell her and in your mind you were transported back to last night.
“Rooster?” You asked trying to get his attention. He didn’t respond he just stood there with his bag in hand.
“Roose?” You tried again. Still nothing.
“Alexander!” You knew breaking out his middle name would warrant some type of reaction from him. He despised his middle name. Anger flashed within his eyes as he shot you a glare still frozen in the doorway.
“I’m sorry babe you gave me no choice.” You shrugged your shoulders approaching him slowly. You grabbed one of his very large, very warm hands and guided his heavy footsteps over the threshold. Something had happened. He rarely came back like this. He was normally all smiles and covering your face in sloppy kisses by now. Then he would proceed to ask what’s for dinner because he always had a hard time eating when separated from you.
“Welcome home sweetie.” You greeted him with a smile. A small once danced across his face but only momentarily before it fizzled out weakly.
“Oh sweetheart what happened?” You were afraid to ask but you needed to know. He wasn’t in the right frame of mind and you needed to help him the best way you could. But how could you do that without knowing what actually happened to the man you love. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. His sandy colored hair served as a momentary distraction as you took in his whole appearance. He tried to slick back his hair with gel the best he could but his defiant curls were beginning to show. The one thing you avoided to look at were his eyes but you had to now. You knew he needed you to be in the moment with him. Your eyes locked on his like the missile lock in his jet. His eyes were filled with pain but underneath all of that, an insurmountable amount of fear. He looked like a child, like a child who lost their mother in the supermarket. You didn’t know if this would be a time for words or not. He was so good at masking his pain for the sake of others so when it rarely showed you had to handle the situation with caution and above all else, grace. You stood on the balls of your feet and wrapped your arms around his neck. He was tense at first at the sudden movement from you but as soon as your perfume registered in his smell centers he was putty in your hands. His body basically collapsed into yours. He was holding himself together just to survive long enough for this moment. Now that it was here, he let all of that go. You stumbled and recovered quickly as you struggled to support your boyfriend’s weight. Bradley was a force to be reckoned with. The man claimed to be six-foot but he always looked as if he stood taller. He was clocking in around two-hundred and ten pounds these days thanks to a special diet. He was one hell of a pilot and a lot of it at that. He held on to you as if his life depended on it. His hands were shaking against the fabric of your shirt. Well his. You always wore his old worn in Navy shirts when he was gone. “Rooster, what happened?” You finally found the courage to ask. It was mostly from the pounding heart you contained within your chest. You had a sickening feeling in your stomach and you didn’t want to be right about the instincts you possessed.
“It’s Mav.” He croaked. The room suddenly froze and your hearing zoned in to him and only him. You could hear his ragged breathing in some sort of fine tuned HD sound specifically designed for Bradley Bradshaw himself.
“What about Mav baby, what about him?” You wondered. His shoulders began to shake. Your eyes went wide with shock. He was crying. He never cried. You held on tighter to him. He was clutching at every part of you trying to make sure his feet were still on the ground. You paused for a moment.
“Honey, what happened to Maverick?” Your mom asked on the other end of the line. Her voice shook you from the images running behind your eyes.
“Maverick was shot down during the mission.” You explained to her. Bradley stirred slightly before settling back in. You began to rub his back knowing how much it calmed him, just like it would calm a baby.
“I almost lost him!” He sobbed loudly into your arms. You could feel white hot tears burning the cotton of your clothing as he let out his pain. It took all the strength within you not to crumble under the weight of not only his body but his emotional baggage. Your knees began to shake. “Come on baby, come this way. Let’s get you to bed.” You encouraged him. He broke from your hug and it was the first time you looked upon his face since the tears began to fall and you wish you hadn’t. His eyes looked lost. They were wet and full of his sadness. It broke your heart. Your breath caught in your throat looking at the strong man that had red and puffy eyes now from crying. His face looked worn down and exhausted now. The scars on his face turning red with the flush of his cheeks. The way his chest rose and fell as he tried to stop the tears that were wracking his sore body. The way he hiccuped like a child who had just thrown a tantrum and was trying to calm down. You slowly undressed him as he stood there completely useless. He was overtaken by finally allowing himself to feel everything he kept inside the whole ride home on the carrier. Soon enough you were lying down on the bed with him face first on your chest. He rested his entire body on yours.
“Is Maverick ok?” You ventured to finally speak breaking the sound of sniffles he supplied in the room.
“He’s ok. I went back for him. I got shot down for it too.” He admitted to you. Your blood ran cold. You were extremely proud of him for going back to save him and successfully doing so but terrified that he went and got himself shot down. But that would be a conversation for another time.
“I almost lost the last parent I have on this earth.” His voice was thick with tears. He was willing himself not to cry again.
“He wouldn’t leave you baby. Not that easily.” You reassured him as you tried to lull him to sleep. When the room was filled with his familiar snoring you took out your phone and texted the one person who could make you feel better in this situation, your mom.
“Oh, honey I’m so sorry.” She knew that your heart broke alongside his and she couldn’t stand the idea of her daughter in any type of pain.
“I hate when boys cry mom!” You complained.
“Lets be clear what you’ve managed to catch is a man, your daddy was a boy.” She joked. Your parents had been divorced for years now and finally things had become well enough for her to joke about it.
“Shit mom, gotta go!” You whispered quietly.
“Send my love to Bradley!” She requested quickly. But you had to hang up. She was incredibly fond of him and was obsessed with the idea of you two together. You placed your phone down and looked up to see those familiar brown eyes staring back at you.
“Morning Rooster.” You smiled.

Best-friends to Lovers (Fred Weasley x Reader)
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Reader
Request: can we get like... a lil fred weasley, you guys are good friends and you don’t usually go back for the holidays, and Fred invites you back to the Burrow to spend the break there and y’all like totally fall for each other 🥺
Warning: None (I switched it up just a tiny bit to where they’ve already developed some feelings but they finally admit them sooo hope you enjoy!)
Word Count: 4.5k
It was a flurry and cold winter night, the kind of night when every breath stings the lungs and every exhale chills the lips. The frigid air, the slippery ground and the sheet of white covering the once green grass. All signs winter was here and cold times were ahead. Even in the highlands of Scotland, the winters were ferosus and unforgiving. You despised the freezing temperature, but Fred was far too convincing and a midnight walk with him was something you couldn’t find the words to turn down.
For the first time in the five years you had spent at Hogwarts, and the five years you had been best friends, you had finally accepted the twins offer on spending Christmas at the Burrow with their family. It was a turn of events in your typical holiday plans which were mostly spent alone at the castle. Your first two years at school you had traveled home for Christmas. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t exactly a ‘jolly’ time either. Family time came few and far between. The sparse time you did spend around your family had grown… awkward. Being the only witch in your family didn’t help much either. As the years dragged on, you felt like a stranger in your own home. Your parents spent their entire year with your younger brother, so he had undoubtedly grown to be the favorite and the prized child. They still loved you of course, it just felt forced to engage with them at times.
So it came as a pleasant surprise when you walked into the Weasley’s home and were engulfed in a warmth you had never known. Molly Weasley was the first to greet you, popping out from the staircase with a shimmering grin. Before you could register what was happening, she pulled you into a bone crunching grip rambling on about how good it was to meet you. Arthur hugged you as well and teased about how much the twins would talk about you, especially Fred. Fred would turn bashful but he didn’t deny it.
Ginny showed you around the house, beating Fred and George to the chance. Molly set up a mattress on the floor next to the youngest Weasley’s bed, something Ginny was over the moon thrilled about. She had been longing for a sleepover with you for years now. Ever since her first term, she followed you around like a little puppy. So your first night at the home, Ginny coerced you into a slumber party immediately.
The twins, mainly Fred, weren’t too happy at this. They were the ones who invited you yet their little sister was stealing all your time. Fred was bitter when you hurried off from dinner to go join Ginny upstairs, not even bidding him a farewell.
George insisted his twin was being dramatic- they had an entire month for Merlin's sake! The feelings his brother developed for you, their best friend, was clear as crystals to George. They both shared a crush on you for the first year at Hogwarts but George’s feelings quickly shifted to a friendship, sister love. Fred on the other hand, well his crush only evolved further. George noticed it the second Fred started combing his hair before dinner and always placing himself the closest towards you. It was a topic they danced around for quite some time. He teased his twin for years until the idea came to him that Fred still felt this way towards you even after years. George had devoted his previous two summers to breaking Fred into admission. All he wanted was to hear his twin confirm his suspicions. Not that he needed that really, other people were beginning to notice as well.
One of them being your temporary roommate. Ginny was a top notch observer. During her second year, she started to catch on to the elephant that followed you and Fred into every room.
That first night, Ginny shed light on her theory by offhandedly making a rather large claim late that first night. While the two of you were chatting softly in the dark, the young girl declared out of the blue,
“I think my brother is in love with you.”
In an instant, your whole body froze over like water on a lake. You were thankful for the dark, it kept Ginny from seeing your wide eyed stare of shock.
“What?”
It was now you could see her small frame adjusting in her bed. Even with the lack of light, you saw her sitting up on her bed, propping her weight on one elbow. It could be assumed she had a devilish smile as she probed on.
“Fred… pretty sure he’s in love with you.”
“Why, what makes you think that, Ginny?”
“Quite a laundry list of things, actually. First, he never shuts up about you. Second, he’s always trying to be around you. Third, he’s always staring at you… bit creepy. Fourth, he’s told our nanna about you! Lastly, and most obvious, I heard him telling George right before school started.”
Laying back down, you fixed your eyes on the ceiling taking in her words. Does your best friend really share the same feelings for you? It was too good to be true, it couldn’t be true, you thought. This kinda stuff only happened in the movies and your life definitely was not a film gracing the silver screen. The butterflies went rampant in your stomach, fluttering about wildly. For a moment, you had forgotten Ginny was there, or that you were in her room, until she spoke again.
“So, what do you think of him?” She asked innocently. Tugging the fluffy blue blanket closer to your chest you replied,
“Pardon?”
Ginny wasted no time and reached over to flicker the light switch on her bedside lamp. A bright light broke through the pitch black darkness of the bedroom. You groaned at the act but Ginny spoke over your sounds of protest.
“Are you in love with Fred?”
Running your hand over your face, you let out a sigh. It was getting too late to be thinking about such heavy topics. You had a great friendship with Ginny, you really did, but if you couldn’t even deal with these emotions on your own, you really didn’t want to throw your thoughts on her.
Turning over on the mattress, you rolled your eyes.
“Ginny, I’m not even dating Fred.”
“But you want to.” She confirmed stubbornly.
“I mean… I-I don’t know, Ginny. Can we talk about something else, please?” You wanted to hide under a blanket and avoid the question for all of eternity. She had caught you off guard and although the feelings you felt towards Fred were strong, it wasn’t something you felt ready to face yet. It wasn’t easy being in love with your best friend- there was so much risk, so much to lose if things went south. You settled on keeping Fred as a friend rather than gamble the option of rejection and a change in your relationship forever.
Ginny perked her brow, opened her mouth as if ready to rebuttal, then deciding against it. The corner of her tip twitched to a smirk as she replied,
“Hmm, okay.”
The topic was dropped for the rest of the night as Ginny went to bed shortly after, but it wasn’t completely over. From then on, you began noticing the constant little redhead attached to your coattails. You noticed each time Fred shooed his sister off and demanded she find something better to do. He was edging closer and closer to his point of eruption. This break was supposed to be time for him to spend alone with you and finally confess his feelings. Not Ginny being your shadow and George tagging along for every outing.
Now on your walk almost a week later, your mind hadn’t stopped wandering to that conversation. Ginny hadn’t brought it up again, at least not vocally. During breakfast the next morning after your talk while you're placed between Fred and George joking around with them, she’ll send you knowing looks, giggling to herself. Harry started to pick up on this as well and you noticed Ginny whispering to him afterwards. It didn’t help that Fred would take any opportunity he could to make you laugh and be in your presence.
Last night you found yourself sitting in front of the fireplace with George, Ginny, Ron, Harry and Fred. A steaming mug of hot cocoa was clutched in everyone’s hand. After about an hour of talking softly and sharing stories, Ginny, Ron and Harry decided to call it a night and trudged up the stairs together. You waved to them as they disappeared up the wooden steps, the sound off their feet turning quieter with every second.
As the three of you sat closely, it felt like you were back at Hogwarts in the common room. George was gushing about a Muggle film you had shown him earlier in the day and Fred was silently listening in, a small smile kissing his lips. You were sat at Fred’s side, your backs against the couch and his arm thrown casually around your shoulder. George was laid on the smaller couch across from the two of you, rambling on to himself. As his talking continued, Fred slowly worked to move your body closer to his and nearly in his lap. He did it so naturally you almost failed to notice. The loud, booming tone of George simmer out within minutes. His voice seemed to sooth him into a slumber as his harsh snores suddenly cut through the air, having talked himself to sleep. This caused the both of you to start laughing. Fred’s arm gripped you tighter as his body shook with chuckles. The sensation sent an odd shiver down your spine. It felt… nice, really really nice to be in his arms.
Fred wondered if now was the time. It was the first chance he had gotten alone with you for almost a week, so there was a good probability he wouldn’t get another for a while. He needed to make a move, something at least! Fred hated not having the bravery like the Gryffindor he was to fess up and spit out the words to describe how he felt about you. Closing his eyes, Fred took a deep breath then peeked his gaze open once more. The nerves had calmed and for the first time, he felt ready and he knew he had to act on it. But as he looked down at you, all the confidence had vanished with one glance. His throat dried as your eyes met and a faint precipitation budded in his palms. All the words he had been rehearsing for a year now simply slipped out the back door.
You took note of the ghost white paleness that took over and immediately sat up, removing yourself from his arms to ask,
“You alright, Freddie?” The concern dripped from your words as you examined the face of your best friend. His eyes were lowered, glued to the flickering flames of the crackling fire.
“Of course, love. I’m sorry, was just thinking.”
“Aw, Freddie, we talked about this. You know thinking is no good for you- you’re brain can’t handle it, darling!” Fred’s heart leaped at the adorning pet name. Only recently had you started calling him more loving names, and it drove him absolutely mad. No girl could ever get his heart racing with just one word like you could. He loved hearing such names coming from your mouth, and directed to him. There was only one name he would die to call you and that was his.
“Can I take you for a walk, love?” The request came abruptly, completely out of the blue. Your eyes widen at his question. Any other time you’d say yes without a second thought. Although, it was late and the land was not a territory you were familiar with like Hogwarts.
Your eyes fell on the window behind the couch. Large white snowflakes swirled from the sky and coated the grounds. The heavy black winter jacket you packed was hung up neatly by the door, not having been touched for at least a day.
Turning your attention back to Fred, you realized his eyes were already trained on your face. At your glance, a hopefully smile reached his cheeks.
“It’s nearly midnight I… actually, why not? Sure. But if we run into any wolves, I’m sacrificing you to them, Weasley.” He laughed at your response and quickly jumped up. You set your hands to your side, readying yourself to stand when suddenly, Fred’s large hands attached to your sides and lifted you up to your feet. You stumbled trying to gain balance but once again, Fred was right there to help you.
Unexpectedly, his left hand extended out and intertwined his fingers in yours. Just as you had predicted, his touch was warm, addicting in a way. It set off a pool of security and protection. Instead of fearing what may lie in the open land outside his house, you trusted Fred.
The tall boy walked you towards the door and pulled your long coat from the hook then threw it around your body. You slipped your arms into the fuzzy material as he yanked his heavy jacket on. Watching the never ending snowfall outside, you worked your hands into the black mittens you had stored in the coat pockets. You hoped it wasn’t as bone chilling outside as it looked.
“Here, I think you might need this, love. You can use my scarf too if you’d like. Don’t want you freezing to death, that’d be hard to explain to George and the rest of our friends.” Fred placed an extra winter hat of his on top of your head. Heat slapped your cheeks at his movements. Fred was commonly sweet towards you but lately, he had been extra sweet. Small gestures here and there were adding up and raising a bit of questions in your mind.
You knocked Fred jokingly on the shoulder and remarked,
“Reckon they’ll send you to Azkaban for that one. I’m a saint, everyone loves me, Fred.” You teased him playfully before accepting his offer with a thank you. Instead of handing you the maroon and gold striped scarf, Fred leaned forward and wrapped it snug around your neck. Once finished, his fingertip tapped against the tip of your nose, grinning to himself.
“You’re not wrong about that. We should get going though. The killer trolls will rise from the ground soon!”
“Knock it off!” You scolded him in a hushed tone, careful not to wake his sleeping family as you chased out of the house after him. Running down the steps, you saw Fred waiting near the car for you. There was an open path behind the car, a makeshift road but the kids used it for a walking guide.
He motioned you over waving exaggeratedly.
“C’mon, darling! You’re taking forever.” Fred moaned on dramatically as he waited for you to catch up to him.
“It’s freezing out here, be patient.” You waddled over to his side and stood close to his frame, egar for warmth. Fred took in your shaking body and wrapped his arm around your shoulder and tugged you towards his side.
Snowflakes landed on your eyelashes, conflicting your view. Despite the coldness of the winter air, the landscape was beautiful. There were miles and miles of open plains on all ends of the Burrow. In a way, they were isolated, but the atmosphere was live with activity. It was impossible to be bored when the Weasley siblings were around. There was so much to do, in an exploring sense. You had never felt so free, so open before. It was refreshing to spend time at Weasley's home. As the two of you walked together in the crunchy snow, Fred pointed to a large field, a makeshift pitch if you had to guess.
“Charlie and Bill taught George and I how to play Quidditch over there the summer after our first year. Percy hated playing with us! We’d all gang up on him- even if he was on our team- and try to knock him off his broom. I don’t think he’s played with us since! You would’ve died of laughter seeing how angry he got.” You watched as Fred’s features scrunched in laughed at the memory. His contagious chuckles infected you as you laughed along. It was a recollection you could imagine perfectly, even if you weren’t there. Percy was an easy target but he had done it to himself so there wasn’t much room for blame.
Shrugging your shoulders you said,
“I would say poor Percy but he turned me in for being out past curfew so, I’m proud of you, Fred.”
“Sounds like him, just try being related to him. He runs to our parents for everything! Every. Little. Thing. It’s infuriating.” Your cheeks began to sting from smiling so much, but when you were around Fred, it was a given. He had an affect on you that no one else seemed to earn. Even when you were on the brim of tears, Fred always found a way to bring a grin to your face.
But still, you thought about Ginny’s words and the change in Fred throughout your years as friends. Nights were lost tossing and turning over the thought of that prankster redhead who had occupied all your notions.
Lifting your hand up slightly, you grabbed for Fred’s gloved hand. He gladly accepted your gesture and squeezed on your hand as you continued to walk further from the home. Fred’s attention soon dropped as his consciousness drifted once again. Pursing your lips you drew him out.
“Freddie, what’s on your mind? You’ve been different since we got here. I mean, it’s not a bad different. It’s just… something is different with you and you’re my best friend so I wanna know.”
Fred’s eyes snapped up at your concerning voice and the startled expression met yours. This was definitely not a common act for Fred. Your mind raced at the possibility of what it could be but luckily, Fred didn’t make you wait long for an answer.
His pace slowed, but his feet still dragged in the powdered flakes holding your hand. You wanted to hear him speak so bad although you respected the time he needed and waited in silence as you continued to walk. It didn’t take long for Fred to shatter the thin air,
“Can I ask you a serious question? Like one that could change everything.”
“You can ask me anything, Fred. You know this. It won’t change a thing.” You replied seriously. Fred could hear the truthfulness in your words and it calmed him, only a little though. The looming fear, and reality, of rejection was becoming all too real. Even worse than rejection, Fred had a feeling if he didn’t take his chance now, he might never have the opportunity again.
“Do you see me only as a best friend?” The nervousness in his voice broke the peace of the air. Your feet halted at the cavalier inquest. Fred had asked quite the offhand questions before but this, this was new. Mentally attempting to connect the pieces, you tilted your head in confusion.
“Freddie…” The mummer was faint, almost failing to register from your lips. The Burrow was still in near distance and the moonlight provided enough light to search Fred’s face. You weren’t sure what to make of the inquiry exactly, but your heart race excelled in anticipation.
Fred Weasley shifted in the crystalline snow. His hands were shoved deep in his coat pockets and his legs bounced in his stance. You knew him well enough to see the contemplation written across his features.
“Y/n I really really like you. I promise this isn’t a joke or some prank. If you don’t feel the same I can find a way to accept it but I don’t wanna lose you in my life. I just can’t hold it in anymore. It’s been five years of tortue now and… I just needed to get it out, love. I think I might be falling in love with you- if I haven’t already.” As Fred poured his heart out openly, the dripping snowfall ceased all together. It was magically in a sense. The loud slush was now quiet, almost like drizzling rain. His gingerbread eyes were studied upon you, waiting for any sort of reaction to surface. You just gazed up at him scavenging for the perfect words to spill your emotions.
“You’ve liked me for five years?” You asked, stunned. That was impossible. All this time you had spent crushing on Fred and admiring him, stuck in the friendzone, you could’ve just talked to him and been honest. Fred’s eyes darted back to his house then to you anxiously.
“Yeah. I’ve just been too scared to tell you. I don’t want it to ruin our friendship, that’s the last thing I could take.”
Your heart dropped at his words. It was funny in a way, he had the same fears as you. In the same way, you felt guilty for putting him through the same torture you had been going through the last few years as well.
With a surge of confidence, you snapped your head up to Fred and quickly remarked,
“Will it ruin our friendship if I think I’m in love with you too?”
The stillness in the air was unreadable at first. Your gazes trained intently on each other. The uplift gleamed in Fred when he took in your words. All his fears went away like the swish of a wand.
Half out of adrenaline, the other half out of want for years of desire, Fred took one step forward and closed the small gap of space between the two of you by pressing his lips tightly against yours. His hands rested on your face, and the small of your back to keep you steady. This you were thankful for this as his quick actions took you by shock nearly knocking you off your feet.
Your left hand drew up to his hair, finding a tight grip in his shoulder length locks, something you’d been dreaming about doing. The kiss intensified as you indulged in the lock and pressed closer to Fred. Your mouths moved together as if snogging was naturally with you two.
Your lungs demanded air after a few minutes and you slowly pulled away from Fred’s lips and leaned away to regain your composure. You could hear Fred panting at your side, also processing what just took place. Your hands never left each other’s and he suddenly squeezed yours to earn your attention. A genuine look crosses Fred’s face as he whispered into the cold air,
“Can I ask you to be my girlfriend now or do you want me to woo you over on a date first?” His sweet words nearly melted your heart. As easy as you were to please when it came to Fred, this heartwarming exchange felt like the perfect night to declare as a first outing.
“I think I’ll count this as our first date, it was quite romantic.”
Fred rolled his eyes with a smirk. It made him happy that you weren’t demanding or the snotty type. He loved that the small things made you glow with happiness. Even with this, he was still mentally planning a date to take you on before break ended. Although you still had yet to answer his big question.
“So does that mean you’ll be my girlfriend?” You had to swallow back a laugh as you realized you never officially answered Fred. Despite your kiss, he still looked worried you’d turn him away. Shaking your head with a smile you replied,
“Yes, I won’t make you beg anymore.”
Fred wasted no time snatching you by the waste and giving you a small twirl around the snow. A yelp sounded from your lips and you hoped it wasn’t loud enough to wake anyone sleeping at the Burrow. Fred chuckled at your protests and placed you down delicately. Placing his hands on either side of your face, the joyful Gryffindor snogged you lightly, but his passion still seeped through.
“Merlin’s beard, can’t believe it took my stupid arse five years to ask you out. I could’ve been kissing you years ago!”
“Guess we were both missing out. Feel dim for thinking I was going to ruin everything between us if I told you how I felt. But I’m so happy, Freddie.”
“Here, darling,” His gloved hand jerk back to the house, “We oughta head back, now. Mum will kill me if she finds out we were out this late! She thinks you’re an angel so you’ll be fine but I’ll be six feet under by dawn. I can’t wait for morning, though. I can finally brag to everyone that you’re mine, love.” His lips pressed against yours again, desperate to relive the spark and it did not disappoint. Kissing Fred felt natural, like you melted into the embrace. Your lips molded in sync, matching up like magnets. His tongue drew a line across your bottom lips as he kissed you deeper.
Coming back to earth you detached from Fred with a light ‘smack’ noise. Neither of you could wipe the childlike grins off your faces. His plump cheeks turned crimson in the night. Unable to shake off the excitement of the night’s events, you leaned into Fred’s body, giving him a tight hug. He returned the embrace instantly and left a long kiss to the top of your head.
Leaning away, you planted one last kiss to Fred’s cheek then held his hand as you two walked towards his home. The light at the top of the Burrow, assumingly Fred and George's room was turned on. Brightness shone from the window and you pointed up at the sight. The house was only feet away and you started to wonder what George would think of the news.
It could be assumed he wouldn’t be shocked. George spent the last year making comments to you here and there, prying in on you and Fred. Ginny of course wouldn’t be too blown away either, but what about Ron and Harry?
Fred already knew what their reactions would be. He knew without a doubt all of your friends would be thrilled, but no one would be too taken aback by your new relationship. It seemed the only two students who were oblivious to your shared feelings, were Fred and yourself.
“You think they’ll be surprised to hear we’re dating?” You wondered out loud. Fred swung your hand in a back and forth motion as you approached the front porch of the house. Your question obtained a chuckle from Fred as he shook his head,
“Not one bit, love.”

sometimes, logan hates the navy. it's hard to, when it brought him brigham, his pilot, his husband, his rock.
but during months like this one, where he's spent it entirely away from his pilot due to separate training programs for pilots and rios, logan hates it. it's the longest they've spent apart since they started flying together, the longest he's gone without seeing harvard's face first thing in the morning, without hearing his excited whoop when they execute a borderline idiotic maneuver.
thankfully, logan gets to go home today, where brigham has been for the past two months. two flights, a four hour layover, and a bus ride later, and logan is slotting his keys in the door to their home.
he can hear the music before he sees his husband, the soft musical lulls of etta james filling the house. he makes his way towards the kitchen and sees brigham, humming along and stirring something on the stove. logan smiles and slides up behind him, wrapping his arms around brigham's torso and resting his head on his shoulder.
"welcome home," brigham says, leaning into the hold.
"i missed you," logan says, dropping a kiss to brigham's shoulder.
"i missed you more," brigham responds, and logan rolls his eyes, squeezing him a bit harder in disagreement. "dinner should be ready soon."
logan hums, and starts swaying with the music, pulling brigham with him. "wanna dance?" he asks, as etta james shifts into patsy cline.
"where?" brigham asks, turning around in logan's arms. he has a point; their home is small and cramped, overflowing with furniture and items collected over the years. the rug they got while stationed in morocco, the lamp from logan's mom, the tv stand they thrifted from brigham's home town.
"here," logan says simply. "we can push the furniture out and dance across the whole floor. like the old times."
when they first were paired up, they couldn't find a rythym, in the air or on the ground. their co recommended dance classes. they were terrible at it, still are, but over those few weeks, over coffee dates after class and forced proximity, they learned to move together.
"whatever you want, babe," bigham says, smiling. "i'll to the coffee table if you grab the chairs."
they dance until the sauce on the stove boils over.

Falling Out Of Love With Astoria Greengrass || Draco Malfoy
Requested: No Pairing: Draco Malfoy x slytherin!reader (but it's not mentioned frequently so you can ignore it) Warnings: Allusions to sex, some angst, mentions of death, if there's anything else please let me know :) Summary: Throughout the Hogwarts years from Astoria’s POV we watch Draco fall out of love with her, and into love with Y/N.
WORDS : 6251
<~>
The Greengrass and Malfoy families had held each other in a high regard for quite sometime. When it so happened that the Malfoy’s had a son near in age to the Greengrass daughters, it was almost too perfect an opportunity to pass up and both families decided that to keep their families pure, wealthy and powerful, one of the Greengrass daughters would marry Draco when they all came of age.
So soon playdates were being arranged and the Greengrass daughters had become best friends with the Malfoy son. For a while, it looked like Astoria was the sister that he was going to marry,  like she’d stolen the Slytherin Prince’s heart. They both liked each other enough, it was a perfect union really.
But then you happened.
It was all going well, perfect even, until Year 1 at Hogwarts began and you snuck your way into everyone’s lives. Draco, Blaise, Daphne and Astoria had grown up together, you were the outsider. It shouldn’t have happened really, it was most unbelievable to Draco himself, but on the first day of school he bumped into you before the sorting ceremony and you flashed him a smile that had his insides bubbling with warmth- not love, definitely not, but an odd sense of comfort. Before long you, Draco, Blaise and Daphne all got sorted into Slytherin and the oddest of crews was formed; three wealthy purebloods and their half-blood best friend - but you were powerful quartet and you only grew in power when Astoria joined Hogwarts the next year.
~~~
She should’ve known, from the day that she met you, that she’d  never be enough in comparison to you- not for her sister, not for her  friends, and definitely not for Draco Malfoy. How could she be  when your laugh made everyone else laugh too, when your smile brightened  up everyone’s day even her own, when your hugs were a refuge from the   terrible reality that consumed the Hogwarts grounds every year, when you  were the only true friend that most people ever had in their lives.
In  another world, Astoria would’ve been the one that Draco fell in love   with, not you. In another world, a perfect world perhaps, your dorky   snort wouldn’t have even made it into any of their lives. Your touch   wouldn’t linger on their souls like a wolf’s imprint and your voice   wouldn’t snake its way into their most euphoric dreams. And perhaps in   another reality, one in which the universe didn’t hate Astoria, you   didn’t exist at all.
But in this reality, you are real, very real indeed.
She isn’t in love with him. No. She can’t be.
But that doesn’t change the fact that Draco’s arranged to marry her not you.  He’s meant to marry the beautiful, wealthy, pureblood with as much   social status as his own, not the half-blood from Hogwarts whose father had to work for his social status. Everyone knows Mr L/N, it’s hard not  to know the trailblazing wizard who succeeded against all odds then lost  his wife to a muggle disease, but that doesn’t mean everyone respects  him in the same manner that they do Lucius Malfoy.
It’s absurd, you’re too different. You’re too different from the rest of them, it doesn’t make sense that he fell in love with you.
~~~
YEAR THREE  - DECEMBER
The Malfoy’s had a small, annual Christmas tradition. If your idea of a small tradition is a ball with the Wizarding World’s richest and most popular adversary’s. You’d never gone before, due to your mother being a muggle and unenthusiastic about fraternising with pretentious, former death eaters, but once your friendship had reached stable enough ground Draco had insisted that you and your father come for the ball. And reluctantly, your father agreed.
You’d not come with a date. What was the point if you were going to spend the entire night with your friends anyway? It was unorthodox, and deemed slightly rude by Lucius Malfoy, but no one had cared much after you’d managed to discreetly blend in with your friends and Daphne hadn’t left your side the entire night.
It’s that night when Astoria starts to notice that she’s losing him to you. She’s clearly looking richer- everything about her always screams money- but it seems that it’s not enough to compare to your smile, your eyes, the way your laugh fills the room whenever one of your friends tells a joke, because almost the entire group can’t keep their eyes off of you, including Astoria herself, even though hers is an act of insecurity and not admiration.
So she tries to lure Draco away from you before he can get sucked too deeply into your sparkling iris’s, coaxing him to join her on the dance floor and he obliges without complaint- knowing that his father is keeping a watchful eye on his son and his future wife.  And besides, Draco does love Astoria, he wants to make sure that she has a good time. When Astoria looks back at this night she’ll imagine that it was the night that Draco had stopped loving her and started loving you instead, but she was wrong. He had loved you both for long after.
His hands are tight around her waist, in a loving and protective manner, as he leads her onto the dance floor swiftly and treats her to a night of bliss that she’ll never forget. His heart is in it, undeniably, but it seems that only half of his heart belongs to Astoria. Because the whole night, while he dances with her, laughs with her, eats with her, and has the time of his life with her, he guiltily wishes that it had been with you.
~~~
YEAR FIVE - NOVEMBER
Astoria walks toward Draco’s prefect dorm - wanting to find him and drag him down to the Quidditch field so that he can fly around with her for a little bit- and stops at his door when she hears the faint sound of laughter barricading against the walls from the inside. It’s your laugh, she knows it well enough by now, and his chuckles follow soon after.
She suspects that this is a private moment, one meant only for the two of you to witness and experience, and she doesn’t know how but something about the way you’re laughing just sends jolts of envy shooting through her- like Draco’s never made her laugh that way, and maybe it’s because he never has. There’s an odd sort of intimacy that wafts through the air, even with all these walls and doors keeping her separated from you both, and it unsettles her down to her core because it feels so different to the way Draco is with her.
“We have to tell them… We have to tell her.” You sigh as you look into Draco’s eyes sadly. Astoria can’t see the scene but she can sense the discomfort that’s now enveloped the room at the mention of whoever you two seem to be discussing.
“Y/N.” Draco sighs tiredly - having had this argument with you countless times in the last two months.
“I know, I know that you’re arranged to marry her and you love her and she loves you but Draco the two of you aren’t even dating. There’s nothing wrong with what we’re doing but that doesn’t mean it’s fair to either of us- she at least deserves to know.”
Realisation dawns on Astoria as she processes that she’s the one that they’re talking about - that in some odd twist of fate she’s become the other woman.
“What if she hates me?” Draco asks and Astoria feels her heart wrench- there’s no possibility in this universe that she could ever hate him, even if she tried.
“She could never hate you.”
“What if she tells my parents?”
“Tell them that nothing’s changed and you will still go ahead with the marriage when the time comes. Tell them all the things that you’ve already told me.” There’s a slight hint of sadness and betrayal lacing your last few words and Draco feels sorrow wash over him.
“Y/N-“
“No, don’t say it.” You shake your head with a sad smile. “You’re going back to her in the end, I’ve accepted that.”
He sighs and pulls you into a bear hug- rubbing your back and soothing you. “I’m sorry.”
“Nothing to be sorry about Dray.” You say and even Astoria can hear your smile from outside the door, “But we have to tell her.”
Draco nods and starts to pepper kisses down your neck- sloppy, desperate ones that even Astoria can recognise. “We can tell her after…”
“Dray…” You whine out in protest and he chuckles.
“Tell me to stop and I will pretty girl.”
Astoria doesn’t wait to hear your response, but when the two of you walk into the Great Hall for dinner that evening- large smiles and happily exhausted expressions covering your eyes- she knows what your answer was.
~~~
YEAR FIVE - NOVEMBER (the next day)
Astoria and Draco are sat by the lake together, doing homework and chatting as the rest of their friends keep themselves occupied- as they usually do when Astoria and Draco disappear off together. It’s a habit that they created a few years back when they decided that they needed to spend more time together, alone, to prepare for the inevitable future in which they’re married.
In the past it had been perfect - hours spent in their little corner of reality in which no one else besides the two of them existed. They’d sit and talk for hours - forgetting that time is even a measure in the great expanse of their universe- sometimes they’d do puzzles, play wizard’s chess or just respectively do their own homework. But now it’s changed, it seems that Draco is always itching for their time together to end so that he can return to you. And she knows that it’s not her fault, not anyone’s fault really, and that it doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to spend time with her because anyone can see that he does hold some love for her in his heart. But it doesn’t compare to the love he has for you, it doesn’t compare to the way he wants to be next to you as much as possible.
“Are you a virgin?” Astoria asks suddenly as she turns to the boy beside her. She knows that it’s an intimate question, and that he has every right not to answer her, but she needs to know how strong the bond they’ve created over the years is.
Draco thinks on it for a few seconds, weighs the pros and cons of both lying and being honest, before he finally settles on his answer- knowing that it’ll lead to more questions. “No.”
Astoria can’t tell if she’s relieved that he didn’t lie or if she’s hurt that he wouldn’t have told her if she didn’t ask, but she pushes away the fog of emotion and continues on the mission that she set course for this morning. “Who?”
Draco gulps, “Y/N.”
Silence encapsulates them and sends them down a dark road of confusion - where to go from here?
“Do you love her?”
“I don’t know.” Draco shrugs, feeling a smile crawl onto his face at the thought of you, “Maybe.”
“Hm.”
“But it doesn’t matter much anyway, I’m marrying you in a few years bumblebee.” He turns to her and grasps her hand in his own- trying to send a message of reassurance that just makes Astoria’s throat close up- sending her a soft and loving smile. A soft and loving smile that is no match for the one he would’ve sent to you if he’d said those words to you instead.
“True as that may be,” Astoria begins as she takes her hand out of his and pulls back to sit comfortably while facing him, “It’s no reason for us to not enjoy our youth.”
“What do you mean?” Draco asks as he sits up - hoping that maybe the two of you can start to see each other out in the open.
“Let’s see people, other people, while we can.”
“Are you sure?” He raises his eyebrows and she nods- before she has the chance to change her mind- “Who is he?” Draco asks with a smirk.
Astoria tilts her head to look at Draco clearly- to observe this man that she loves enough to let go of in hopes that he’ll come back to her- and she feels her heart warm at the thought of him being happy with you, despite her own desire to feel that love instead. “Trust me, there is no he.”
“Mhmm.” Draco hums absent-mindedly as he hooks his arm around Astoria’s shoulders and pulls her into his chest for a hug. “Thank you bumblebee.”
“You’re welcome.” She giggles out as he places a kiss on her forehead. “We’ll be coming back to each other in the end anyway.”
Before long Astoria and Draco’s study sessions have a third participant. And Astoria thought that she’d hate it, she desperately wants to hate you for stealing his affection from her, but she can’t. Her plan to get you out of Draco’s system backfired quickly- her efforts to push you out of his heart recoiled on her as you pushed your way into hers- and soon enough the two of you become best friends.
Study sessions become picnics- ones where you and Astoria bully Draco with foolish nonsense like plaiting his hair, painting his nails, beating him at every muggle boardgame known to man, making him read to you both as you lay down on the picnic blanket and watch the clouds above. The sound of you and Astoria's combined giggles now fills Draco’s ears everyday, and he can’t possibly think of a sound he loves more.
~~~
YEAR FIVE - MAY
Shit. That’s the very first thing Astoria thinks when that morning’s copy of The Daily Prophet lands in front of her at the Slytherin table. Her eyes immediately shift to find where you’re seated but you’ve already gotten up and started marching out of the Great Hall. Draco’s eyes catch her own and they both nod silently in agreement before getting up from the table and moving to follow you.
The Headline had stated, in big, bold print, that your mother (among many other muggleborn witches and wizards in the Wizarding community) had not died of cancer but instead been poisoned by undercover Death Eaters that worked with her at St Mungo’s. They’d created a slow-acting potion that replicated the symptoms of cancer and made it impossible to identify the source of the sickness- which is why neither muggle doctors nor healers had been able to cure her.
Deep down both you and your father had known that she hadn’t died naturally, you’d both long suspected foul play even when she had first fallen sick, but no one seemed to be interested in your babblings of concern- chalking it down to grief and denial. So you’d moved on- stuffing it so far into the depths of your memory that you’d almost forgotten about it completely- but when that article had landed in front of you in the Great Hall hot, fresh tears of sorrow had started to pour down your cheeks without a moment of hesitation, and it had taken all of your strength to clamber out of the Great Hall and into your dorm room.
You’re crying so hard- completely lost in your cloud of affliction and immeasurable heartbreak- that you don’t even notice Draco and Astoria sneak into your room until they’re both sat beside you on your bed, running their hands up and down your back and your face - trying to bring you back down to planet earth with their movements of affection. But it’s not enough. Nothing is enough to take away your pain.
You don’t hear them whisper above you, and you don’t even notice what’s going on around you until Draco has lifted you up into his arms and started carrying you somewhere. You only manage to blink back tears and observe your surroundings once Draco has gently laid you in his bigger prefect bed and wrapped the covers around you.
“Lay with me.” Is all you manage to rasp out, sparing a glance at them both, before you drop your head into the pillows and try to find solace in sleep. They don’t hesitate to do as you wish- Draco climbing in bed behind you and Astoria climbing in by the front, bundling you up in the safety of their presence’s- and you sigh in relief when you start to feel Draco’s fingers in your hair and Astoria’s hand grasp your own.
It’s almost awkward- your back to Draco’s chest and Astoria’s head in yours as you strain to focus on the scent of her pomegranate shampoo as well as the scent of Draco’s oceanic one, so that there’s something to tether you to the real world- but there’s an almost protective nature to the way you’re all lying, like they’re saying more than words ever could; we’ll protect you. It’s safe and it’s warm, so you let your eyes close as you drift off to sleep.
But maybe that was the day it all started to fall apart, because that was the last time he ever looked at her with as much love as he looked at you with.
~~~
YEAR FIVE - JUNE
Astoria watches as your giggles fill his ears and leave him drunk with happiness- more drunk than any amount of the firewhiskey he’s holding could possibly even try to. It’s a bitter sight really, to see the one who’s meant to be yours falling deeper and deeper in love with someone else, to push down your feelings of contempt and jealousy for the sake of friendship - both with you and Draco.
You two are wrapped in a world of your own- the only thing either of you can focus on is the sound of each other’s voices and the feel of each other’s skin rubbing against each other as you sit in the common room with your friends for game night. The only thing tying you both down to earth is the distant sound of laughter that carries from Blaise, or maybe Theo, and toward you both- waking you up every few minutes from the trance of each other.
It’s in the breaks in between each game that the two of you get sucked back into the whirlwind of your love for each other - that he whispers to you everything he adores about you, and you whisper back all the things you adore about him- hushed, quiet, private, and yet observable from across the table where Astoria watches the scene in a state of silent fury. An anger so muted that one could easily mistake it for admiration, that one could simply miss the way she yearns to be in that place instead of her own, that one could misinterpret her desire to be the one smothered in the kisses of those soft lips.
Best friends.
Best friends.
The two of you are her best friends.
That’s what she tells herself when she feels that familiar coil of rage inching it’s way up into her throat and begging to meet with her tongue- to scold you both for hurting her so blatantly. But she doesn’t, no, her mother raised her with more self-restraint than that. She swallows her anger, her sadness, her jealousy, and reminds herself that no amount of fury will ever be worth losing you both.
He won’t choose her.
We’ll be coming back to each other in the end anyway, she reminds herself.
~~~
YEAR SIX - DECEMBER
When sixth rolls around no one fails to see the changes that Draco’s gone through over the summer break- least of all you and Astoria. You both try your best to act like everything is the same- like he’s not folding in on himself, shrinking closer and closer to just teeth and bones, losing all the colour in his face, draining more and more of life as the days go on- but it’s evident in the way he eats less, spends less time outside with you both and pushes you two as far away from him as remotely possible.
Winter Break rolls around and as usual, you all go down to the Malfoy Manor for the few days of Christmas. Excitement bubbles in the train carriage as you, Blaise, Daphne, Astoria and Theo converse about the upcoming break, but Draco doesn’t join in the conversation- he merely lets his head fall on your shoulder and his fingers intertwine with yours. Your close proximity is a silent reminder that he still loves you, even if he doesn’t say or show it as often, and that whatever he’s going through isn’t your fault but rather a much bigger problem.
It’s over break that you fully notice the impact of whatever Draco’s going through- his bright smile doesn’t appear when he greets his mother, and he flinches in her embrace when she comes up to hug him, he no longer meets you all in the garden late at night to watch the stars and talk till the sun rises, and the days that used to be spent laughing together are now consumed by him sleeping. Two days before you’re all due to leave, you decide that you’ve had enough and you confront Draco in his room- charming the room with a silencing charm in case you erupt into another fight.
“We need to talk.” You say from your seat on the edge of the bed as Draco walks out of the bathroom in a set of black pyjamas.
“Are we seriously doing this again Y/N?” He asks as he rolls his eyes and walks over to the vanity in his room.
“It’s the last time, I promise.” You say with a smile as you shrug. He looks at you skeptically and so you elaborate, “If you don’t tell me what I want to know then we’re breaking up.”
“Fine.” He replies simply with a shrug as he leans against the vanity. “It’s not like you’re not going to want to be with me once you know.”
“And how can you possibly know that?”
“Because it’s bad, Y/N, it’s really really bad.”
You sigh and swallow as you look at the ground. A few seconds pass before you continue, “Do you remember when your father got sentenced?”
A look of confusion flashes across his features but he nods slowly anyway, “Yes, why?”
“You’d started walking ahead with Blaise and Astoria so you didn’t see but, your mother came to talk to me.” You start as you give him a sad smile, “She asked me if I was going to break your heart. When I asked her why she thought that, she asked me how I could possibly love the son of someone who knew the people that killed my mother in cold blood.”
“Why didn’t you te-“ Draco starts but you lift your hand and cut him off.
“I thought about it and I realised that it didn’t matter to me, my love for you is beyond any physical measure and it can’t be wavered by something as morbidly coincidental as that. I told her that I love you more than words can describe and that it didn’t matter to me because that’s not you.” You laugh a sad laugh, “Do you want to know what she said back?”
“What?”
“She told me that ‘to be a Malfoy is to be burdened by responsibility and raised with the weight of the world on your shoulders.’ She told me that I should be prepared to lose you when your duty to your family gets in the way of your love for me.”
“Nothing’s in the way of my love for you, I promise-“ He interrupts you and you send him a look that shuts him up.
“When I asked what duty she was referring to, she said to me ‘the one his father couldn’t fulfill.’” You finish with a large and shaky breath as your eyes finally shift upwards to settle against his unwavering gaze. “So I’m going to ask you this once. If you lie to me then we’re done because I will assume that she was right.”
Draco gulps but nods, “Go ahead.”
“Draco Lucius Malfoy, are you a death eater?”
He doesn’t answer at first, he’s still staring at you and dumbfounded at the fact that you’d figured it out, but once he does finally process what you’ve asked him then he starts to roll up the sleeve of his left arm. You gasp at the sight of the skull and snake embroidering the pale skin underneath, and immediately look away so you don’t cry. “Yes, Y/N, I am.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“How could I?” He asks as he looks at you sadly and you nod in understanding- opening your arms for him to come and settle in them.
The two of you sit like that for hours- in bed, him crying in your arms as he tells you what he’s been tasked with and how he’s been trying to fulfill the task alone over the last few months, he tells you about the Vanishing Cabinet, about having to kill Dumbledore, about learning Occulemency with his Aunt Bellatrix and figuring out for the first time how deep his love for you runs in his veins- and you try your best to choke back tears and be strong for him as he finally opens up for the first time in months.
When the two of you finally leave the room to go downstairs for dinner, Draco feels as though a huge weight has been lifted off of his shoulders and he smiles, for the first time in months, and it’s for you.
Both Astoria and Narcissa easily take notice of Draco’s altered demeanor when you and him make your way to the table. Astoria feels jealousy wash over her when she watches him pull out a chair for you, kiss your forehead, dish food out for you, and stare in admiration as you eat. Narcissa on the other hand, feels pride, and an unbridled sense of relief at the fact that you managed to help her son out of his head. Astoria’s eyes land on Narcissa’s face for a moment and she sees it; the look of acceptance that a proud mother gives to the one who owns their child’s heart.
And that’s the first time that Astoria realises, maybe we’re not coming back to each other in the end.
~~~
1998 - MAY
Draco feels his breath caught in his lungs as he searches for you throughout the castle - fighting off anyone and anything that stands in the way of him coming across you. He finds Theo, Goyle and Blaise while searching for you and the four of them run through the castle with fire in their bones and aches in their heart at the prospect of not being able to see their friends again. But then it happens, his eyes land on a flash of blonde waving around the courtyard with determination; Daphne. And beside her, in all your magnificent and powerful glory, is you.
The four boys run toward the two of you and you all have a brief moment of relief consume you as you reunite in each others arms. Hugs are thrown around, kisses passed along, and soft words of reassurance are spread to remind you all that you’re alive and together. But as soon as that moment of relief fades, a panic sets in its place as you and Draco realise that Astoria is still missing.
“I thought she was with you.” Daphne says to Draco as her breaths become uneven again and tears begin to prick at her eyes.
“It’s okay, we’ll go find her.” You tell Daphne as you pull her into a hug quickly before pulling away and lacing your fingers with Draco’s.
“The rest of you try to get somewhere safe, we’ll find each other again.” Draco orders the rest of your friends and soon you and him are off to find Astoria - running up and down between corridors and hidden alcoves in hopes of finding your best friend, your missing piece.
After ten minutes of looking you find her, fighting for the right side with Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom, with blood smearing her cheeks and her eyes blown wide with fear.
That’s when Draco feels like he can breathe again.
You and Draco rush up to her and capture her in your combined embrace - trying to focus solely on the faint smell of pomegranate that wafts off of her hair, trying to commit this moment to memory so that you can always remember what it felt like to have the two pieces of your heart back together again.
“You found me.” Astoria breathes out as tears fall down her face.
“We always come back to each other.” Draco says back as he smiles down at her and you wipe the tears off of her face.
“Don’t be sappy.” She responds as she chokes out a laugh.
“I can’t help it, I was worried that I might have to marry Daphne instead!” He exclaims and the three of you laugh, despite the awkwardness of the situation, almost forgetting that walls are crumbling around you and lives are fading out into nothing.
“You should know by now that I’d never leave you to suffer that fate.”
“I do bumblebee.”
It’s when she looks up into his eyes finally that she sees it, the difference between his love for you and his love for her. There is a different kind of love, safety, understanding, lust, that transpires between you both when you look into each other’s eyes, one that doesn’t appear when he looks into her own. The light that shines in you and Draco’s eyes when you look at Astoria is a dim comparison to the light that shines when you look at each other; a candle compared to the sun.
You both love her. And she, oddly, loves you both. But it’s not the way that you love each other, and Draco would never be able to love her again after loving you so fiercely.
She sighs and puts on a small smile. “Please can we go?”
“Yes, of course. We’ve got to find the others.
“Same side, always.” Draco insists and you look up to him and shake your head.
“Draco, I can’t ju-“
“Same side, always.” Astoria repeats, with pleading eyes, and you sigh before nodding.
“Same side, always.” You reply as you turn to head back in the direction that you came from. Astoria holds out both of her hands, you and Draco take them happily, and the three of you walk toward the end of the war together.
Later when you arrive in the courtyard to hear that Harry Potter is dead Astoria immediately runs to join her sister and her parents on the other side, on Voldemort’s side. And not soon after, you follow Draco as he joins his parents on the other side, keeping your promise to always be on the same side.
It’s only when you’re all in the Malfoy Manor later that evening after defecting when the reality of your situation finally dawns on you and you break down in tears- tears of grief, pain, anguish, anger, relief. Astoria watches in envy as Narcissa receives you in her arms- tears staining her face already as she grips you so tight that you might suffocate. She keeps you in her arms for a while- soothing your light sobs, sending hushed whispers and reassurances your way, promising that they’ll protect you and thanking you for keeping her son safe. Lucius says nothing and doesn’t allow his expressionless demeanor to fall, but when you finally pull away from Narcissa to stand beside Draco, Lucius grabs your hand and squeezes it- a gesture so small that one could easily miss it, but one that says everything he possibly could’ve said in that moment.
Then, she realises that she didn’t lose, how could she when it had never been a competition in the first place. Draco had always belonged to her on paper, but his love for you was written in the stars from the moment that you were both born. Astoria didn’t lose because she was never in the race, in fact there was never a race to begin with.
It had always been you.
~~~
2001
A few years passed- names were forgotten, new engagements were made, houses were moved out of and new homes were created on the ashes of grief- but one morning she felt her heart drop deep into the pit of her stomach. Lying on her kitchen counter was a gorgeous invitation to a wedding, you and Draco’s wedding, and a letter from you- in which you begged for her to be your bridesmaid.
After the war Astoria had told her parents and the Malfoy’s that she couldn’t go through with the arranged marriage- that he deserved to marry someone that he loved instead- and then she’d pack up her bags and started traveling the world- desperately in search of a love like yours and Draco’s. She didn’t succeed, she couldn’t find anyone that she loved with that much magnitude. So after two fruitless years of traveling she’d returned to the UK - applying for and receiving the appointment of Hogwarts Charms teacher once she’d gotten back.
Slowly, bit by bit, she began to reach out to her old friends and of course, you and Draco had been the first to respond- excited to see her again and yearning for the old days when the three of you would lose time laughing together. She’d been shocked to find out that the two of you had done some traveling as well- exploring Asia, Africa, South America and North America alike, eating food from every culture you came across and dancing to music that you’d never hear back home- and the three of you had spent the next few months meeting up for dinner and talking about your travels.
That was perfect, to Astoria, that was all she needed.
A year passed since she’d been home when Draco surprised you one night, serenading you with poetry he’d written about you over the years and getting down on one knee to proclaim his immeasurable, undying love for you and his eternal devotion to you. The very next morning the two of you were sending out invitations and you were begging for Astoria to be your bridesmaid.
She said yes, of course, and she was the best bridesmaid that you could’ve asked for.
~~~
2002
She’d cried - whether it was to mourn a love that once was or to celebrate a love that now is, she didn’t know. When you and Draco had said your vows she had cried, and the first thing that you and Draco had done once the ceremony had ended was engulf her in your arms. She’d been there for every stage of your relationship and if it hadn’t been for her the two of you probably wouldn’t have been able to get married.
She laughs in the midst of her tears as the two of you hug her- lost in a bittersweet trance of happiness and discontent, she feels full of the love that the two of you hold for each other but there’s a gaping hole that still begs to be filled in her own chest. “Why are you two hugging me? It’s your wedding!”
You wipe a few tears that have fallen down your own face- completely forgetting that your makeup will be ruined- and  pull away to face her. “We’re thanking you. None of this would’ve been possible without you.”
“We’re in debt to you bumblebee.” Draco says with a chuckle and she shakes her head immediately at his words.
“You two owe me nothing - your happiness is enough for me.” And in a way it’s true, the two of you having each other fulfills her in a distant but comforting manner. “Now, time to throw the bouquet!” She exclaims as she clings onto your wrist and pulls you away from your groaning husband.
When the bouquet lands in Astoria’s hands, instead of the many other women circling around her, she feels her breath hitch in her throat. Who can she possibly marry when she’ll never love anyone the way that she loves-
“If I’m not your bridesmaid as well then I’ll kill you at the alter.” You cut off her train of thought as you come up to her with a big smile.
“I wouldn’t dream of it being anyone else.” She replies with a smile and you both laugh as you catch each other in one last warm embrace before everyone moves up to the reception.
It’s the way your hands fit perfectly around her waist, the way you breath runs along her ear as you laugh absent-mindedly, and the way you smile at her when you pull apart. You smile at her but it’s not enough to make her smile back because she finally sees what she’s been trying desperately not to see for so long. You smile at her- bright, warm, inviting, happy- the way a friend smiles at another, with love and adoration and support. But it’s just not enough.
It’s at that moment she realises.
She isn’t in love with him. No. She can’t be.
She’s in love with you.
<~>
I feel like this wasn't as angsty as I originally wanted it to be but I still really love it. :)
anyway, i’m currently listening to ‘break my heart again’ by finneas so i'm off to go cry about Astoria’s ending as if i am her.
IN REGARDS TO A SEQUEL: It might be coming soon.
love you all

Gif not mine, credit to the owner. It has nothing to do with the story, but I imagine a scene like this at the family dinner, with Azriel.
This is now the fifth time I've looked in the mirror, unsure of how I look. I'm wearing my favorite dress, which I also wore to my first dinner date with Az.
I keep looking at myself, not noticing that the songbird had come out of the bathroom, after taking a quick shower. He stopped behind me, and seeing my thoughtful face, asks:
Azriel: "Stop making that face honey. You look great. I love this dress to death, though I prefer you without it." - she says in a sultry voice as she whispers the words over my shoulder.
Y/N: "I know I wore it our first dinner."
Azriel: " We better get moving, or I'll be forced to take it off."
Y/N: "When does dinner start?" - I ask Azriel as he gets dressed.
Azriel: "It starts...or rather it started ten minutes ago."- he says calmly, while I turn around and start yelling at him:
Y/N: "WHAT?! WE HAVE TO MOVE! DAMN IT'S THE FIRST FAMILY DINNER WHERE I'M INVITED AND WE ARRIVE LATE. THEY WILL HATE ME! YOUR FAMILY WILL HATE ME-" - I say walking around the house moving objects and running here and there.
Azriel stops me, taking me by the shoulders and looking me straight in the eyes.
Azriel: "Love relax, no one ever gets to family dinners on time. And they'll all love you, I'm more than sure; in fact I think I'll have to fight to keep you for myself. Know that I can be very possessive of what I love." - he says in a soothing voice.
Y/N: "Believe me I know, I still remember the scene you made because I used your coffee cup."- I laughingly reply. "Now move we have to go."
After a few minutes we are flying over the city of Velaris. The view from here is beautiful: you can see people wandering around the streets happy and carefree, the stores and lights dancing in the streets, the music echoing in the streets and the river flowing in the center of the city as if it were the origin of everything around it.
Eventually we land on the terrace of the famous Wind House. The windows are closed, but you can see through the panes of glass people moving around and hear their laughter.
Azriel:" So are you ready? If you don't want to don't worry about it, I'll make up an excuse and we'll be right back-"
Y/N: "Az, relax, I'm ready. My guess is they're not as terrible as you describe."
Azriel: "So innocent and naive, you don't know them, wait until you're there with them for ten minutes and you'll see how right I was."
I open the window , which was just pulled up, and enter in the room,  immediately everyone's gaze shifts to us.
A tall man, with long hair, bronze skin and big wings, like Az's (Az has bigger wings though ;) ) has a shocked expression while some like Mor have a huge smile on their face.
One by one they come to introduce themselves, all congratulating us and especially me for making Mr. Ice Heart fall in love. Once the introductions are over, the dinner proper begins. Laughter, jokes and joking insults are the only thing you can hear as everyone happily eats the plentiful dinner on the table.
Immediately they manage to make me feel a part of them l, like I've known them forever. Cassian keeps making silly jokes about how he's in bed Az, on the contrary his partner, Nesta, who I found out was the one to whom the books were going, thanked me for my advice to the shadowsinger. Feyre and Mor were thrilled to know who had captured Az's heart, as they had long suspected there was someone in his life.
Rhysand, is also happy that his brother has found someone and you can see it in his face, but he is much more placid and we get to talking about Velaris and our shared love for the Rainbow.
Amren, on the other hand, squared me from head to toe and then simply told me that I have a nice necklace, which to hear Az tell it is the best compliment he could give me.
We spend the evening laughing, chatting and drinking, when my gaze fixes on Azriel and in that moment I feel something snap in me, and I realize it's the bond.
Azriel is my mate.
Feeling my gaze on him, the songbird turns to me, and stares at me. I see something snap in his eyes, and immediately realize that he too has felt the bond snap.
Azriel quickly gets up towards me, hurriedly greets the others, making excuses like "it's late, I'm sorry", "we're busy tomorrow", "he had a hard day, he needs to rest".
He takes me by the hand and leads me to the window, but just before taking off I hear Rhysand yelling that he has the week off and to take care of his partner.
The last thing I remember that night was the cold night wind flowing over us, contrasting with Azriel's warm lips on my neck.
The rest is history.

Timothee Chalamet Fluff Alphabet
Tumblr media
A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Dates with Timothee are very very comforting and new at the same time. He LOVES getting out of the house and going to a city where shops are lining every corner and small cafes with coffee to die for. But he also loves to cook you dinner and rehash your days. He’s quite a domestic person.
B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
Timothee finds all of you attractive. But his favorite thing to do is whenever you’re reading a book or the two of you are watching TV, and you’re at one end of the couch and he’s at the other end, he loves to run his hands up and down your legs while they rest in his lap. Drumming his fingers against your knees is like a calming thing
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
He doesn’t talk, at all. He’s an incredibly patient boyfriend who will sit there with you and sync your breathing while hugging you. He will listen for hours and hours to you talk about it. And if not, he makes tea for you and offers cuddles and comfortable silences. I mean, either way he always makes tea.
D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
He would love a family with you, he knows you’d be an incredible parent to his children. But he’s content being young, having new experiences and getting to be spontaneous. If he had to think about it, he’d like one or two children and maybe a dog. Living in a cozy but spacious home, of course there’s a pool in the back.
E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
well, when he’s in the mood, jealous/mad he definitely will be dominant (and especially in bed) but he’s in no way so dominant that you will feel like his maid or a child. But he really doesn’t want to consider your relationship to be that way. Both of you are just you and treat each other equally.
F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
He gets cold when he’s fighting with you. Timothee’s a bit like a younger sibling while fighting, he knows how to push your buttons and won’t stop until he see’s a reaction. But he has that guilty feeling wash over him so fast. He’s very very easy to forgive you because how could he say no to someone like you??
G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
SO GRATEFUL. He spoils like no other. If you point out that you like a pair of earrings, they’re yours (it doesn’t matter that they’re pure diamonds) you mentioned that you want to see Italy? Tickets booked. And a great thing about him, on top of being a good listener is that he has a great eye. And he picks up on things and is quick to notice them. Which is a big reason he’s so successful in acting. Even if it’s something as simple as washing the dishes so he can relax, to something as kind as making him your very own fan gift.. he melts every time.
H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
Mmm, he certainly tries not to but everyone keeps secrets. There are things that both of you prefer to keep private but he wouldn’t keep something like him kissing another woman a secret.
I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
You’ve inspired him and fueled him to become a stronger actor even if you’re not one yourself. Some of your advice is seriously helpful, and some are unhelpful but hilarious. No matter what you will tell him, he knows you’re waiting at home or even at his set with open arms, waiting for him to win an award and fangirl online to other Timmy fans. It makes him blush and cause a billion butterflies to erupt in his stomach.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
He trusts you 100% that you would never leave him, and he doesn’t want to be one of those boyfriends who restricts their partner. But there’s a part of him that’s incredibly insecure and is convinced you can do better. There are some parts that WANT you to leave him and do better. He would never ever show it in public, but you can read him well. You’ll put a hand on his bouncing knee and kiss his jaw.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
He knows he’s a damn good kisser as well as charmer. You had been on a couple of dates with him, on one you mentioned that it was on your bucket list to be kissed in the rain. He made sure to schedule a date when there would be rain and he took you on a picnic. Towards the end, it had started to pour and you were trying to run back to the car but he grabbed your face and kissed you so hard but so passionately. His curls were dripping and the sandwiches were ruined but the feeling was incredible.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
Rightttt after that kiss, in the car you were drying off and laughing with him while the radio was on in the background. The car was on but he wasn’t driving. Instead, he turned to you and told you he was in love with you. Both of you had said “love you” but never “i’m in love with you”
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
He’s on the fence about babies but he knows for certain that he wants to marry you. You know that scene in The Office where Jim shows the engagement ring for Pam and is like “I got it 3 weeks into dating”? That’s Timmy.
He brings you to a premire of one of his movies and at the end when all the credit’s are rolling, it says “y/n will you marry me?” and when you turn back around, Timmy is on one knee and Armie is most likely behind him crying his eyes out.
N icknames - What do they call their s/o?
“Babe” “Baby” “Mon cherie” When you two are married, he’ll join you in the kitchen while cooking dinner and call you “Mrs Chalamet” before kissing your shoulder and beginning to chop veggies. It’s just incredibly domestic
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
so so so obvious and so in love. He shows you off as much as possible and talks about you on talk shows until he’s sure that the audience is annoyed and SNL mocks him (and even then, he’ll continue)
P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
he brags but he does know when to dial it back for your own privacy and humility. BUT that doesn’t mean he won’t hold your hand in public, or banter with you on a twitter thread even if you both are right next to each other on the couch playing footsie
Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
He has a great eye and is quick to pick up on things. It’s almost as if he has certain senses and can tell when you’re having a bad day or upset. He just knows. It’s incredible. He’ll run you a bath and order cake to indulge yourself in before you even get home.
R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
The most sickley, fluffy, romantic, boyfriend that it makes me sick. Timothee would dye his hair rainbow and cut of his toes if it meant you would smile. On a more romantic note, he pulls out all the stops but it’s a bit more subtle?? Like he is very romantic but it’s not overwhelming. There’s no string quartet and private dining room but there will be jazz and dancing at midnight or a homemade “restaurant” with Timothee as a one man (messy) staff but it’s the best thing you could have ever come home to
S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
He’s your head cheerleader and the most selfless human ever. Will cheer for you until his voice goes mute and even then, he’s the one clapping the loudest and crying the most.
T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
both! Timothee is like a dog in some ways. He’s energetic and needs new things, to be outside, to be social. But he craves hugs and cuddling, he adores late night talks with you or watching you make him breakfast while he scrolls through Instagram. Like I said, a very domestic guy.
U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
He know’s you like the back of his hand and he could spot you with his eyes closed and only by feeling your face. He knows your habits, and the food you hate, your terrible cooking skills, and the kind of dad jokes you tell, the anxiety ticks, and what shows you’ll watch over and over again.
V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
He’d go insane without you. You’re addictive because you have a pure heart and a dirty mind and he falls in love the more you show that. He brings you back the weirdest things that remind him of you. Stationary cards with odd quotes, an antique necklace from the 40′s, peach earrings (because he enables your teasing)
W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
He’s like the real version of “JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD” but a little more loving lol “I love you, but I’m willing to defend my fries”
X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
I said that he’s like a puppy! he needs kisses and scratches to his head (free scalp massage) and he’s a clingy puppy too. i mean, look at his eyes for the love of god.
Y earning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
he aches so bad. He is your cheerleader but he can’t function without you. You’re his cup of coffee, an antidepressant. He’s fangirling inside for your new project but when he sees your mug or reaches to bring you close to his chest and you’re not there, he’s unable to fall asleep or make a cup of coffee.
Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
He’d travel to Mars and back if you asked him to. Just ask him, and he does it. One time, he was working on a movie with an actress who was quite snippy to you and he quit immediately, feeling incredibly guilty and nauseous. He got you very  expensive lox and bagels one morning because you were whining about it the previous night. He doesn’t want to close his eyes at night because there’s so many things he wants to do before he goes on to the next day. But when he closes his eyes at night, it’s all you, you, you, you, you and how much he’s overwhelmed with total adoration for you

Newly Added Fics 5/16
Hello everyone, sorry again for the slight hiatus! I’ve replied to all the messages in my inbox (at least the ones that were sent to me before this past friday), so if you asked me something before that, be sure to check out my replies!
As usual, I’ve emboldened the fics I really liked and italicized the ones that are incomplete.
Looks Like Love by luvkurai [words: 5,987] — (AU)

A man who seems to have been paying very close attention to him...
Find Me In The Dark by Rising_Phoenix [words: 40,131] — (AU)
After a fateful accident, the marriage of Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter has reached its end. Grief and the inability to stop them from falling apart has brought an irreconcilable distance between the formerly deeply devoted couple. While Hannibal is apathetic towards his husband, ignores him, and is withdrawn, Will has started an affair with fellow teacher Francis and drowns his desperation in more and more alcohol.
Light of All Lights by whiskeyandspite [words: 20,377] — (AU)
Dracula-like fic without any of the vampires
The Stage Just For You by CarnivalMirai [words: 6,494] — (AU + Age Gap)

There Will Be Bells by Entropyrose [words: 36,639] — (A/B/O)

Alpha Mart by slashyrogue [words: 63,164] — (A/B/O)
Will needs an alpha. After years of fake knots, half-assed suppressants, and his own damn hand during heats he’s reached the end of his rope. He doesn’t do dating so he decides to waste his life savings and hype with the current trend. Alpha Mart.
Enchanted By Your Name by CarnivalMirai [words: 9,207] — (A/B/O + PWP)
“Now, my husband would prefer it if I got the job done quickly.” He says, slashing down the back of each gag as he passes each man, watching as the silk falls gracefully to the floor. “However, I want to have some fun. Considering you’ve troubled my husband so much… it’s only fair, right?” One of the men whimpered fearfully. Or: The name "Will Graham" is a name you'll only ever hear once.
I've Been Building Black Ships by cloudsarefluffy [words: 8,116] — (A/B/O + AU)
Alpha Hannibal moves to the States with his sister Mischa after being overtly done with the fancy life of a count, and his blind omega neighbor gives him an insight into love that he never quite expected.
A Rare Find by hit_the_books [words: 5,379] — (A/B/O + AU)
Life as an omega bookseller can be quite lonely. However, as the owner of Graham’s Books, Will Graham is reasonably content. That is until he meets—long-time customer and crush—Doctor Hannibal Lecter in person for the first time. Attraction blossoming between them both, Will agrees to a dinner date with the good doctor.
We All Have a Hunger by 1ntothew1ld [words: 12,260] — (A/B/O + Age Gap)
Hannibal will ensure a properly slow and painful death for an alpha who allowed a beautiful young omega to go to waste as this one has. Too skinny for his own good, a stuttering and humble mess. The likes of the omega in front of him belonged at Opera houses and in million-dollar mansions, not scrounging for his next meal. Meek and afraid in some disheveled row house. When he finally looked back up the alpha had to conceal the utter punch to the stomach that meager glance was, blue eyes full of innocence but also hunger.
The Doctor Is In by Kummerspeck7 — (A/B/O + PWP)
Will nearly scoffed. "You can't expect me to believe you'd want anything other than a delicate flower to adorn your side, keep your ostentatious home, bare you the exact number of children you want--No more, no less-- all while being available at your whims." "Not at all." Hannibal disagreed. "I would no more put a wilting flower in my home than in a bouquet given as a gift. Tell me, Will, is that how you are treated? Forbidden from work, cloistered inside and used at Mr Brown's discretion?" "My Alpha's discretion." Hannibal looked pointedly at the curve of Will's neck, free from a single scar. "Not yet he isn't."
Teenage Wildlife by writtenbyizzy [words: 10,163] — (Age Gap + Sugar Daddy)
While reluctantly prowling Grindr for a sugar daddy to pay for his dog Bean's vet bills Will comes across Hannibal, and gets far more than he bargained for.

When Will was in high school he had an incredibly handsome psychology teacher-- tall and sharp with a thick European accent. And now, a decade later, said psychology teacher-turned psychiatrist... just swiped right on him.
We Can Chase the Dark Together by K_R_Closson [words: 16,615] — (Fantasy)

We Killed a Dragon Last Night by inameitlater [words: 88,150] — (Fantasy)
Will remembers falling. He wakes up months before Jack got him to work for him. Months before he met Hannibal for the first time. Free from his past he decides to change events and meet Hannibal again.
My Only Constant Is You by TheSilverQueen [words: 25,369] — (Fantasy)
Hannibal Lecter is an immortal who can never die. Will Graham is a time traveler who can never stay in one place. Perhaps that is why they are perfect for each other.

You Make Me Feel (Good) by sourweather [words: 7,190] — (Fluff)

Pick Me Up by sourweather [words: 6,053] — (Fluff)
Will doesn't go to bars much. He doesn't end up needing a ride home much. But when he does get drunk, he always wants to ask Hannibal to pick him up.
Hard to Get by JSinister32 [words: 5,561] — (Jealousy)
Will and Hannibal had been broken up for six months. When confessions are made during a work function, can they find it within themselves to forgive?
Polar Opposites by Lyla_Joy [words: 19,513] — (Kidnapping)
“Says the cannibalistic serial killer who knocked me out and is now holding me hostage,” sassed Will. The Ripper didn’t smile but his eyes crinkled in the corner. “Please call me Hannibal.”
Fate Is A Keen-Eyed Hound by LydiaFearing [words: 5,890] — (Mischa)
Hannibal may be a successful, charming psychiatrist but Mischa worries that her brother is lonely so she gifts him a puppy. Hannibal reluctantly falls for his little dog but wants to get involved with time-consuming FBI work and not just anyone can be allowed to look after his pet. Luckily, Alana can recommend a boarding kennel in Wolf Trap.
The Significant Other: The Will and Hannibal Edition by house_of_lantis [words: 18,431] — (Murder Husbands)
After their terrible and abrupt break up, Will and Hannibal attempt to maneuver through their social circles, side step ongoing gossip, and deal with the fact that Will knows the truth of Hannibal. Through impossible odds, Will and Hannibal do find their way to each other again.
Dancing with the Beast by proser [words: 86,347] — (Murder Husbands)

Arriving at the Crossroads by HigherMagic [words: 7,558] — (Mpreg)
"You haven't been my psychiatrist for a long time," Will echoes. "But you've been my friend. You've helped me. With…" He gestures vaguely to his head. "When my brain was on fire. On consults. When it's dark and I need a guiding light." "It pleases me very greatly to be a source of comfort and reassurance for you, Will," Hannibal says. "I have wanted to be that for you, for a long time."
The Hanged Man by justhavesex [words: 13,076] — (Mpreg)
Will Graham had never wanted children before, but he had never considered it to be a consequence of his omegan brain not finding anyone worthy, but the moment he had met Hannibal Lecter he had been filled with want. In which a dinner party one-night stand results in a pregnancy that changes Will's entire life.
I Don't Even Like Lana Del Rey by perpetuallycaffeinated [words: 4,328] — (PWP)
The tension and low thrum of arousal were making Will speak impulsively. He knew this, but he’d just finished his drink. There was nothing he could use to stop the question, blunt and presumptuous and rude. “So, what, you’re my daddy?”
A Bad Combination In The Dark by perpetuallycaffeinated [words: 1,957] — (PWP)

Blankets, Coffee Cups, and Christmas Morning by sourweather [words: 6,352] — (Season 3+)
Hannibal wants to enjoy the domesticity. The love, the closeness, the being Known. But something about his life with Will makes him want to lash out.
All These Fictionary Tales by ProxyOne [words: 18,492] — (Season 3+)
After the fall, Hannibal is presumed dead. Will has been declared dead. But Will isn't willing to believe that Hannibal would just abandon him like that
Seduction by BloodunderMoonlight [words: 7,086] — (Season 3+)
“For fuck’s sake, Hannibal.” Will glared at him, brimming with wrath he had only seen behind Will’s gun. He had no doubt Will would draw out a knife from beneath the duvet or pillows, but clearly words were enough to make him gobsmacked—“Are you a fucking virgin or monk? If all these can’t get you to bed then I don’t know what can.” Hannibal stood gaping at Will.
Blood, Cedar and Dog Hair by sourweather [words: 3,351] — (Season 3+)
Something terrible happens while Hannibal is in prison. Something he never prepared for.
Hidden Potential by sourweather [words: 20,789] — (Soulmates)
The first time you make eye contact with your soul mate, you see a vision of their greatest accomplishment. They call it your Peak. Unfortunately for Will Graham, his soul mate's Peak is a vision of blood and horror. Fortunately for Hannibal Lecter, his soul mate's is too.
Karoliai by slashyrogue [words: 4,577] — (Sugar Daddy)
Will works at a jewelry store. He has worked there for three months and sold less than any other person there. His boss tells him to sell something by the end of the day or he may not have a job tomorrow. If there was one thing Will hated more than having to talk people into buying jewelry they didn’t need, it was trying to do it two days before Valentine’s Day.

Hey! Great work! Can I get some Steve trying to ask the reader out but getting too nervous every time until someone (maybe Sam or Buck or both haha) takes pity on him and does something to help the poor guy out?
Sometimes A Little Help is Needed
A/N: I’m so happy! This is my first Steve request!! I love this so much. Thank you for the request and your kind words! I hope you enjoy!! :)
Pairing: Steve Rogers x fem! Avenger! Reader
Warnings: none, just fluff
Tumblr media
“Just go ask Y/N out already, please. You’ve gotta stop staring all the time,” Bucky says, coming up behind Steve.
“He’s right,” Sam says. “You know it’s bad when the master of staring tells you to stop staring at someone.”
“Hey, that’s not true!” Bucky says.
“Oh, that’s not true? Just yesterday you were…”
Sam is interrupted by Steve. “Stop it, both of you.” He turns to face them. “Now quick, what do I say?”
Sam places his hand on Steve’s shoulder. “Just give ‘em that Steve Rogers charm. Ya know, walk up and say ‘hey, Y/N, I was thinking we should go dancing tonight. What do ya think?’”
Bucky shakes his head. “That’s a terrible idea. Steve can’t dance for shit.” He looks at Steve. “Just ask them out to dinner. You could go to that diner in Brooklyn.”
“That’s a great idea,” Steve says. He pats Bucky’s shoulder. “Thanks, Buck.”
Steve starts walking towards you and stops halfway. You were sitting on a chair out on the balcony, reading a book. You looked beautiful. He couldn’t do this.
“I can’t,” Steve says as he turns around. “I just can’t.”
He walks out of the living room, leaving Bucky and Sam standing there confused.
“We’ve gotta do something,” Bucky says.
“I hate saying this, but I think you’re right. I know just the thing too.” Sam replies.
Bucky and Sam smirk at each other before walking away to set up their plan.
------------------------------------------------
You walk into the kitchen, the delicious smell drawing you in. You stop when you see Bucky and Sam cooking, both wearing aprons.
“Hey, guys” you say. “What’re you cooking in here? It smells delicious.”
Sam quickly looks up at you before continuing to stir pasta in a pot. “Oh, hey, Y/N, fancy seeing you here. Bucky and I are just whipping up some chicken alfredo.”
Bucky lifts his head up from the oven to look at you. “Hey, Y/n!”
“Hey,” you laugh. “Since when do you two cook together?” you ask.
Sam walks up to Bucky and wraps his arm around his shoulders. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. We love each other.”
You look between the both of them. “Right,” you say. “So, is this dinner for you?”
Steve walks in right after you finish talking. “What’s going on here?” He turns to you and smiles. “Hey, Y/N.”
You smile back. “Hey, Steve. Looks like these boys are going to enjoy a fancy dinner together.”
Bucky moves to lay a cloth over the dining table, as well as two wine glasses and a bottle of wine, while Sam fills up two plates of food and sets them down.
Sam’s phone starts to go off. “Oh, shit, who could that be?” he says.
He runs out of the kitchen to answer the call.
“Well, I guess you two have fun,” you say, about to turn around to head back to your room.
Before you can leave, Sam runs back into the room. “Buck, we have to go.”
“What?” Bucky asks.
“Tony just called. We’re being sent on a mission. Got 15 minutes to pack and then we’ve gotta be on the quinjet.”
“Oh,” you say confused. “Well, good luck.”
Bucky and Sam start running out of the room.
“What about all this food?” you yell after them.
“You and Steve can have it!” Sam yells back. “Don’t let it go to waste!”
Steve looks down at the floor and blushes. They set this whole thing up.
“Unbelievable,” Steve whispers to himself.
You turn around to look at Steve. “What was that?”
“Nothing,” he says quickly. “Uh, I was just thinking that we should eat this food together. Sam’s right, we shouldn’t let it go to waste.”
“Sounds good to me.” You sit down at the dining table, Steve sitting at the spot across from you.
Steve looks at you nervously.
“Is everything okay?” you ask.
“Yeah, uh, well, no… I mean yes, everything is fine. There’s just something I need to tell you.”
“Okay…” you say. “You’re making me a little anxious here, Stevie.”
He puts his hands out. “No, no, don’t be anxious. I just, uh, well, you see, Sam and Bucky set this whole thing up.” He scratches the back of his neck and looks down at the table.
“Set what up?” you ask.
“This,” Steve gestures towards the food and wine. “I have been trying to ask you out for a few months now and each time, I chicken out. Sam and Bucky aren’t going on a mission. They made this food and then lied about having to leave, so we’d stay and eat it together. I didn’t know they were going to do this, I swear. I just pieced it together right after they left.”
You nod your head slowly. “I see.”
Steve gets up to come closer to you. “Look, Y/N. I’m so sorry if you’re uncomfortable. We can completely forget this ever happened and…”
You cut him off by kissing him.
When you lean back, you stare at Steve as he stands there with his eyes closed, a small smile on his face.
“Why don’t we go on a real date? Not one that Bucky and Sam awkwardly prepared.” you say.
Steve opens his eyes and looks at you. “Yeah, uh, how about that diner I told you about?”
You smile. “Sounds perfect. Want to go there now? I’m starving.”
“Yeah, beautiful, let’s go.”
Steve grabs your hand and leads you to the elevator.
Bucky and Sam watch you both leave from the room over.
“I can’t believe he didn’t ask Y/N to go dancing,” Sam says.
Bucky looks at him incredulously. “How many times do I have to say it. Steve can’t dance.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Sam rolls his eyes. “Whatever you say, tin man.”

Polyam NXX where they all fuck the depressing thoughts out of Luke? Marius fucking his ass, Artem riding his dick, Rosa riding his face, and Vyn kissing and caressing him all over, all at the same time.
n/s//f///w text in response (and also in the ask itself kjdsbfj) and oh god again why is this response so long, it is 1k words
HHGRHRGRGHR ANON....this caters to so many things i love so much, 1) luke being fucked to the high heavens, 2) LUKE TERRIBLY DEPPRESSING THOUGHTS ON HIMSELF, 3) nxx investigation polycule <3!!!
i can sense that this ask wants me to focus on the smut aspect of this and i will get to that but first i wanna talk about like. man, luke, in his relationship with the other four, would have his self doubt and self loathing magnified fourfold than if he was just with one person, i think.
he'd think terrible things like how hes dragging so many people down, how hes a greedy person, letting his life touch so many people's lives and fill their lives with sadness and worry. the other four know that luke has thoughts like this, and they all do their part in reassuring and comforting him and being there for him when hes put himself in a dark place. and it helps. it really, really helps to have people who love you, even the sad parts. but relationships also dont "fix" a person, they cant just magically get rid of doubts and insecurities. nobody in the group is under the impression that love is going to "fix" the sadness luke has, but thats not going to stop them from loving him anyway. luke is grateful, luke pours his love out to them back times a hundred...
but deep in his heart, theres a cruel voice that sounds like his own telling him it's never going to be enough, what he gives. that nothing he will do will ever make up for the fact that he's him.
still, after a while of dating the others, after a while of being steadily encouraged little by little to reach out when he needs help and comfort, luke hazards a chance to ask one day. for the first time ever.
i can imagine the scene something like this:
the whole team managing to find a space in their busy schedules to meet up together outside of nxx business. theyre at mc's apartment maybe. artem is cooking dinner while marius commentates the cooking from where he's seated at the dining nook, "when onions hit the pan, the panties hit the FLOOR." and artem throws a dishtowel at marius' face fondly. softly, music plays from some speakers hooked up to somebody's tablet, some calm old song. vyn and mc are being horrendously romantic, idly dancing to the music and laughing when marius squawks at artem's dishtowel attack. and luke sits on the couch, looking at all of them, feeling such a burst of light from his heart. these are his partners, silly and loving and wonderful, and he wants to give them all the love he has in his heart.
but the thing about luke is that his happiness has always been annotated with doubt. in the footnotes of all his joys is the dark voice inside of him, the voice that sounds like his own, telling him he doesnt deserve this.
but he can see them though. he can see how brightly they all shine, how they always coax him to stand in the light. so after dinner has been eaten (it's delicious, obviously, artem wing homecook masterchef), after the movie they picked out has been watched (it was marius' turn to pick the movie and he picked something stupidly trashy yet raucously enjoyable to watch with others), after they start retiring to go bed together (GOD, im assuming they all get like, bigger beds sjkdbfkjd, marius is the wallet of this polycule, it's fine, he'll cover it), after all that, luke asks.
he asks for help. he trembles ever so slightly as he does it, looking away, and the rest of them can see that him doing this is something agonizing for him. that admitting that hes hurting and asking for comfort is something that seems to pain him, not because he doesnt like them and the love they give, but because he doesnt like himself, because he doesnt see himself as worthy to receive that love.
"i--i dont know what im asking for, actually," luke lets out a self deprecating laugh as he starts to backpedal back into the shadows, overwhelmed by how in this moment, theyre seeing him. theyre seeing the messy part of him he hates so, so much. "sorry, you know me. my head gets like this. sorry. i'll get over--"
hes stopped before he can continue that sentence. mc is the first one to hold his face gently, to coax him to look at her, and in her gaze isnt the disgust luke was expecting. it's something open and beautiful, and when luke looks at everybody else, the same thing is clear in their eyes.
they see this part of him he hates so much and they dont turn him away like he does with himself. they accept him and their kindness starts to wash over the shores of luke's heart.
i like to think they didnt actually plan to have hot group sex focused on fucking the depressing thoughts of luke pearce. it goes more like... mc kisses luke all gentle and sweet and then marius goes to hug luke from behind and he starts praising luke in a teasing way that makes luke laugh softly against mc's lips. when mc pulls away (and she pulls away with a smile), artem is the one who kisses luke next, passionate and devoted and vyn joins in on the "praise luke pearce" agenda, whispering sweet nothings to luke as luke starts to tremble once more, not in hatred or fear this time though, but in how overwhelmed he is. eventually the reassuring kisses and touches start to get a little bit heated because come on, luke is being held and touched by four beautiful people, it's hard to NOT get hard when that happens, and the rest are also easy to get worked up when theyre all together and close and intimate like this.
SO YEAH, they get to fucking!!!! very focused on luke because the other four reach this unspoken agreement to like, make luke feel so good that his mind can go blank tonight. that he can just let go and let them take care of him.
and take care of him they DOOOOOO. in between moaning against mc's cunt, shaking from sensations of fucking artem and being fucked marius, his body relentlessly touched by vyn, all his lovers taking pleasure from luke and giving pleasure back, luke loses himself. he lets go.
the voice in his mind does not quiet so much as be spoken over by the loving voices of his lovers.
his body submits to their actions. his mind fills with their words. and his heart?
he gives that to them to take care of.
