hey im just wondering cause u make rlly awesome amvs how do u make ur amvs? whats the neelix process?

aww thank you:3 the process is i pick a character and a song. and every time i listen to that song for a few weeks or months i picture the different scenes of that character i associate with each of those lines. and then once ive got all that sorted in my mind

THEN i start downloading those episodes. i download one at a time based on which scenes i know i want for the lines at the beginning of the song. and use this shitty video editing app to chop them up rlly rough into just the scenes of the character im focusing on, then import those condensed episodes to capcut and separate them into all the different scenes.

then once i have three or so episodes worth of these i go chronologically through the song and assign one clip per line. theres always some lines i dont have a clip planned for or instrumental sections ive only loosely planned and thats why i love having every scene of theirs from the episode. along the way i gradually download and condense a few more episodes to do the later lines and usually end up replacing or reordering the earlier parts of the song.

and thats my process 👍🏻 it is so fucking annoying i hate editing video on my phone and i really hate the episode condensing step BUT i find it really helpful almost necessary to my process. i made like my first three video edits on laptop (enterprise lil nas clip for instance) and seriously prefer using laptop but ive never made an amv on there.

i have done amvs without the weeks/months of mental planning but theyre generally weaker in execution so im kind of loyal to the technique.

hiii, I am a writer want to spice up my stuff, how do you edit the things to move like the Netflix and tmz things

hey! for so netflix i used capcut, you can make an acct for free and use most features. you need to supply the screenshots or clips of the things you want but they have all the text, filters, shapes, objects, stickers, etc you would need. you make it as mp4, download then convert to gif. you can also upload gifs into capcut and it will treat it like a movie, however i would actually convert it to mp4 online before importing in as you cant change as much on it just in gif form.

for tmz i used photoshop. i dont necessarily recommend trying to edit or create gifs in photoshop though unless you are super familiar with photoshop (i am and still had to troubleshoot with youtube vids) as some of the functions for 'frame animation' as they call it are wacky and not intuitive at all when it comes to layers or adding effects, etc. you can easily fuck it up. even my friend who is a graphic designer hates it lol.

typically my process is edit images (png/jpeg) in photoshop then upload to capcut and create videos in capcut with it before converting to gif. or if im working with gifs (toji amv on pin) convert to mp4 then upload to capcut then gif once im done.
