Unpopular opinions but AHS seasons coven, roanoke, and the later half of apocalypse are... very boring.

Idk man just the stuff they were doing with the witches was?? so painfully boring and uninteresting, legit how do you make witches boring... I won’t deny that there wasn’t potential, but it feels like they just didn’t know what to do with it half the time and fumbled with it the rest, ESPECIALLY in covens case. Idk it lead to a very boring and mediocre watch that felt like I was reading an edgy teens clumsily written fanfic.

#there were some things I liked though don't get me wrong #I liked the stuff with Michael-- older Michael anyway #with him being manipulated by the satanists and feeling lost in life #and not knowing who or what he's supposed to be / do #him being the antichrist though I feel like they could have done a better job with #especially in his younger years #ESPECIALLY also when they decided to make him a witch too later when he was a teen / young adult??#oh sorry 'warlock'#warloks aren't male witches you guys they're a type of sorcerer #anyway #they could have just kept it at him being an exceptionally strong witch that then was taken advantage of by satanists #the same way Jeff and his friend manipulated him into starting the apocalypse #also just in general the first half of Apocalypse could have been an interesting series if they just kept going with it #some sort of fallout inspired thing #maybe sprinkle in some politics with how it started because clearly they wanted to do that with Cult #but thats it really tbh #that's all I really liked about those seasons #I guess Roanoke's witch tribe was also p interesting since it was like 'the origin' of the witches or whatever #but still #ngl I legit can't even remember what happened in coven outside of Kyle constantly getting abused by both the witches and his mom #poor boy shoulda just stayed dead #but gotta recreate that Tate / Violet relationship I guess #ahs #american horror story #thoughts
