patterns/notes for the shit I made for christmas 2020, mostly standard US abbreviations probably. (I saved this in a draft because there were multiples of some items, I’m posting it basically exclusively to get it out of my drafts.)
a lot of them are missing notes about where to end, those are generally just done by feel (eg the little blanket square).
mug cozy: ch 9. sc across for 7 rows. inc, inc, sc, sc, inc, sc, inc, inc. sc across. bp/fp dc for ~11″. sc across. dec, dec, sc, sc, dec, sc, dec, dec. sc across with 8ch/4 row button hole (sl st to ch).
gaiter: 10mm hook. sc 30 sts wide until it can comfortably slipped on over the head. sl st together. (audrey’s scarf is same just longer)
shawl: ch 4. dc, ch 3, 2dc in 1st ch. 2dc at each end, [ch 3, sc in ch-sp, ch 3].
cat blanket: 90+2 foundation chain, hdc and crossed hdc rows. 3 row sc edging, 2sc in each ch2 on sides
Gay blanket: 190+2 foundation chain, hdc, black text, rainbow edging. pattern itself is 205x58, so 10 rows of white on each end and 66 sts of white on each side of each row. counted out each row in a doc. (this one got scrapped and never completed)
blanket square: cast on 70, 2x2 ribbing
wall hanging: ch 70+1, sc across for 80 rows, then ~circle-style dec to a point (sc2tog scx8, sc across, sc2tog scx7, sc across, sc2tog scx6, sc across, sc2tog scx5, sc across, sc2tog scx5, sc across, sc2tog scx7, sc across, sc2tog at edges and center every other row (alternate with sc across) until there are 9 sts left. sc2tog sc, sc2tog, sc3tog.) then embroider text.
leg warmers: pattern as written despite gauge change (velvet, 6.5mm). 18 rows up. make sure to bphdc around stitch you joined to too (for mom’s: 5 grey 2 white 1 grey 2 pink 1 grey 2 white 5 grey then ribbing, flip rightside out for top ribbing). base pattern: https://stitchesnscraps.com/crochet-leg-warmers-peppermint-candy/
hat (bernat velvet, 6.5mm): magic ring, dc 12. dc 2 in each. dc around. [dc2 in 1, dc] around. dc around. alternate between inc and dc around until [dc2 in 1, dc x3] (aka 5-count), then dc around for 4 rows. bp/fpdc ribbing for 2 rows.
miscellaney pouches: 4mm instead of 3.75mm, reverse row order of orange portion (ch21, 3 rows sc, ch4 button hole, 7 rows sc, blo, 14 rows sc, join center w sc row (blo of white, all of blue; right side out, loose thread top left), blo, 14 rows sc then continue around (make sure to hit the corner stitch of the insert in line with the joining row, blo of insert). base pattern: https://www.mooglyblog.com/nifty-needle-case/#_a5y_p=4814362
sweater for taran (1x): add 1 to foundation chain, extend the panels to 80 rows instead of 62 (20 rows of each color but "main” (purple) stripe gets halved (to top and bottom)). do work-flat ribbing for sleeve cuffs instead of ribbing in the round, what kind of fucking animal wrote this pattern (32 rows, 12st wide), then join and continue as written from round 6 onwards - except ch1 instead of ch2 to reduce seam bump. slip stitch instead of sewing the side seams (to 3 rows into blue). 2-row buttonholes (ch4 then next row slst2tog at top, rows 4/5), also ch2 = 1st dc on neckline ribbing. base pattern: https://www.sewrella.com/free-crochet-cardigan-pattern-everyday-cardigan/
