#obi wan kenobi is such a terrible friend and mentor#to both skywalker boys in the ot and prequel eras to be honest#but he’s a master at being a deceitful and manipulative bastard ‘for the greater good’ of Yoda and the Jedi#seriously if I were Luke I would have told obi wan and Yoda to go fuck thrmselves after they told me to to leave my friends to die#and then victim blamed me for getting rightfully pissed off with them for deceiving and manipulating me to kill off one of my parents THEY#helped fuck up before I was even born#yeah technically Vader did worse to Luke and Luke also had every right to hate him too#but at least with Anakin being a manipulative and toxic asshole towards Luke for his own ends was framed as wrong in the narrative#and he actually learned a lesson from it by taking personal accountability for his crimes through sacrificing his life to save his son#from his abuser and mob boss instead.#I get the sense that the narrative let obi wan and Yoda off the hook way too easily for deceiving and manipulating Luke throughout the ot#and I never feel like they paid for it or learned any lesson about the importance of self-accountability
