Why have I had to explain the northern lights 4 times today? Specifically to Alaskan about why we can't see this solar storm? Did we not all learn about this in 4th grade?
#from the far north#I get that its a wierd niche thing to teach a 10yo#But its local and pertinent#Also not that complicated#Like#On par with explaining planetary orbits#Except it makes more sense and it puts the shape of the world in context#Sensible enough to forget immediately
