undertale.... undertale good.... there was tons of art depicting mettaton neo as cool and powerful back in the day and probably still today and i loved it but do yall ever think about how neo is a hastily cobbled together piece of shit that dies in one hit with a theme that's only a few seconds long and doesn't even use his own leitmotifs in the leitmotifs game because the one who actually could've stopped you was undyne and mettaton is throwing himself at you with as much disorienting bombast as possible knowing he doesn't stand a fucking chance just to buy a precious few extra moments for others to escape. and for all his capricious selfishness that's who mettaton is when it matters.
