Bonjour! Happy New Years Eve!

Our 2019 Princess Di calendar is officially coming to a close. On it’s last page, she’s posing for her 21st birthday with sapphire earrings and a poet-sleeved white blouse. Princess Diana was always ahead of her time. She truly was - and is - a style icon. That’s why I love that our NINA Z hand-sewn, puff-sleeve blouse, hangs adjacent to the photo all throughout December. Nina’s blouse, created from an Austrian puff-dress and found at a Botswana flea market, carries miles of time, and thought. Working alongside a traditional African tailor, the dress has been cut into the top we now make and a skirt to come (fingers crossed 2020). While we’re pausing production for a moment to catch up on these blouses, there’s one linen white blouse (hello, Lady Di) and a one-off vintage blue blouse still in house. These tops are super flattering on every body type. Pair it with a basic denim pant, a high waisted skirt, leather, silk...the possibilities are endless. Having a totally singular, versatile top in your wardrobe is a great way to keep your closet couture and capsulated.

We’re also excited about a few incredibly talented local designers’ lines we've just added in the shop. They're perfect to gift to a loved one or yourself.

Angora winter-wear: A handspun and crocheted angora line of seasonal wear: Interchangeable hat to neck warmers and gloves from Ambika. Ambika dropped off our merchandise with her bunnies in tow. Her pieces take awhile to make because she simply combs and trims her bunnies hair instead of leaving them bald. So soft and loved by all genders.

Kismet: Perfume, Room Spray, Natural Oils, Rose Water, Body Oil: Shabnam Tavakol, a perfume consultant to big brand companies, began her own line so she could make incredible scents with no processed oils or harmful chemicals. You can find her traveling the world to source her herbs and flowers. And you can find her scents in the shop!

House-Knit Wool Hats and Gloves: NINA Z’s knitter, Sarah, has been making much loved, well-fitting hats and gloves. We have so much yarn, 100% wool and not itchy. Come see what we have already made or pick a color to be tailor made.      

Crystal & Shell Necklaces:  Gabrielle Valenti x NINA Z. Nina collects shells from coast to coast during her travels where she also brings back to us the most incredible vintage finds. Now she's teamed up with jewler, Gabrielle Valenti to make Mirage,a  small batched, ethically sourced necklaces and bracelet line. Each piece is unique with a variety of shells, quartz chrystals, ethiopian welo opals, moon stone, pakistanian quartz, and other minerals and stones, which are hand woven onto silk cord.

Silk Jumpsuits:  Parisian designer Aissatou Marie C. is the founder of Combine De Filles. Her small-batch silk jumpsuit line is made in Brooklyn, NY, where she now lives. These pieces are minimalist and chic, a go to for holidays, weddings, events, and casual living. Dress them up or down. Definitely an amazing gift to recieve from le Homme or le femme (or to yourself).
