Final Chapter: A Look at the Ending of MHA
With the manga of My Hero Academia finally coming to a close, I thought I'd give my opinions about how the series ended. I will be covering everything from Chapter 424 to Chapter 430. This is going to mix my thoughts on the ending, a proposed rewrite, and a lot of responses to people's criticism towards it. Because I'm going to be real with you all: the past two months have been the most frustrating and exhausting experience I've had with this fan base.
I have been writing this since the finale ended. In that time, I've been listening and taking in all the discourse of fans in order to make a more informed opinion. It's been miserable trying to read through all the thoughts people had about the finale. The sheer amount of opinions that were based off misinformation or misreadings of the series has been staggering. So, if I sound more exhausted or if the writing comes across as more scattershot then when I normally do something like that, that's the reason. And, as always, if you have anything you want to discuss, whether it be about the post or the ending, feel free to ask about it.
Review
Miscellaneous Notes:
So there are some bits of the story I wanted to talk about, but didn't feel the need to include full on diatribes about.
-Oh hey, Koichi from Vigilantes is here, that's so- and he's gone.
-Even when Izuku is his peer, Aizawa still finds time to be a jerk to his students.
-Mirio is the number one hero. Makes sense, but it does feel out of nowhere with how little Mirio has been relevant up until now.
-How on Earth is Miriko still working, let alone as a hero? She's down three limbs and in arguably worse shape then Enji.
-Man, they are really taking Kai to task these past few arcs, aren't they? I mean, I get why, but jeez. It's honestly sad to see what's been done with his character.
-I like how All Might's light returned to his eyes. It's a good way to show him getting his spirit back after all this time and reigniting hope in himself..
-So if Eri's horn is back, does that mean her power is back? Kind of wish we had something saying about why she isn't healing people. I get if it's her choice or the recipients choice not to do so, but there needs to be something for that.
Hospital Visit
This works as little cool down from the big battle, especially since we really needed to see some of the immediate consequences on the main characters. I actually like a lot of the stuff with Bakugou. After all this, he finally understands Izuku, shown by them getting similar injuries, and lets himself be emotionally vulnerable about wanting the two to be rivals. And we finally got some thoughts on part of Izuku here, like his regret about seemingly failing to save Tomura and how he doesn't feel hurt about losing out on "One For All". How he's glad that he even got this chance in the first place. I do feel the need to mention All Might saying that Izuku saved the "soul" of Tomura. I think a lot of people missed or ignored that line. It's important to Tomura's death, but I'll get more into that later.
Speaking of consequences, I don't mind Izuku losing out on "One For All". In the grander scheme of things, "One For All" doesn't need to be a thing anymore. With "All For One" gone, it no longer has a purpose to exist. And as we've all seen with All Might, someone holding that much power over he world is a problem, regardless of whether it's used for good or evil. Having it gone helps even the playing field and will push for the idea that people should rely on themselves and each other instead of focusing all on a single symbol. What's more, I think Izuku having to sacrifice it and lose it gives the ending a lot more weight. Because Izuku sacrificed the thing that made him a hero in order to stop Shigaraki. To me, that's one of the most defining aspects of a hero: the willingness to sacrifice something important to themselves to help others.
UA Stuff
All of the things happening at UA are fine. I do like that Aoyama chose to leave 1-A of his own volition instead of being forced out. Plus, now Shinso is in the Hero Course. Good for him. I've never been all that invested in Shino's story, but this is a good way to get him into Class 1-A without making an exception or replacing any of the core cast members. I liked Mirio's graduation speech. I think it works with his arc of trying to inspire other people and trying to honor Sir Nighteye's memory. And they got to have their own little party. That's nice.
Honestly, I find myself having very little to say about all of this, at least the parts within the school itself. I'm all for a calm after the storm to talk about what happened and to build up characters. I'm honestly glad we're back at the school to help ground things after that massive battle. But I think there may have been too much time spent on this. It just feels a little longer than what's needed. Like the bits with the cotton girl feel like they weren't needed for the story and could have been better used setting up or wrapping up something else.
Todoroki Family Prison Visit
The Todoroki family drama has always been one of the stronger plotlines, especially in the latter half of the series. And I believe that it ended on a pretty strong note. It's to the point where I struggle to really say much about the resolution of it. I do like how Shoto asks for something as basic as his favorite food. I also like how Dabi let go of his hatred towards Shoto, who was as much of a victim as he was in all of this, but still held on to it for Endeavor. Because in spite of what a lot of fans seem to think, the manga does take Enji to task and isn't saying he should be forgiven.
Dabi being in this condition is pretty awful, but I concede that it was necessary for him to have a resolution with the other Todorokis. I'll get to my thoughts on the condition of the villains later in the post. So for now I'll just say the metal coffin looks equal parts cool and horrific. I think it's too long at least in the wrong places. I understand that this is an important part of the story. But when it takes up so much of the chapter it's in, I feel like at least something should have been given to the other family members. They aren't the main players of the subplot, but they still could have used some resolution.
Afterburn
Now, there are those who say Enji got off too easy. Uh, no, he didn't. The man lost everything he strived for in the number one position, something that turned out to be totally hollow, and is left severely injured after the battle, due in large part to Dabi. Now the only thing that would bring his life purpose, his family, is all torn apart by his own actions. Now he's resigned himself to seeing his dying son, who hates him with every burnt fiber of his being, every day until Dabi dies. Enji's punishment is to live on, knowing what he did and failing to ever put his family back together. That's not a happy ending, that's a sentencing.
Which is something I do find frustrating about the end of their arc. While we get solid conclusions with Natsuo and Dabi, how Shoto, Fuyumi, and especially Rei feel about all this and their relationship with Enji is ambiguous at best. At least with Shoto and Fuymui, we had some idea of where they stood with their father before now, but Rei is still not clear. I'm not sure about the implications with Rei and whether she's still with Enji. I choose to think that she isn't just trying to help him out in the few panels we see them together, but it's not exactly clear. Which certainly does leave the door open for some... less than favorable interpretations.
Commissioner Hawks
I'm not sure how to feel about Keigo's conclusion. On the one hand, I don't mind where he ended up as the head of the Hero Commission. It's still a way for him to help heroes to make their lives easier without getting involved as a hero. And if there is anyone that can clean up the Hero Commission, it's the guy that's worked under them his entire life. On the other hand though, it does kind of feel like he did got off scott free for a lot of the stuff he did while under the Hero Commission, namely killing Twice. It never feels like Hawks personally was taken to task for his part in all of this. So now we have a murderer as the head of the Hero Commission.
It doesn't matter if he was under orders to do it or not, nor if there were extreme circumstances that pushed him to such actions. The pragmatic side of me does see the reasoning of that, but the story enforces that what Hawks did is a bad thing and does so constantly. Nothing about the manga takes Hawks to task for what he did or makes it feel like he's been punished for that. He may have lost his Quirk, but we don't really know how he feels about that. Which is weird considering how much of his life came from having that Quirk. Unless his comment about not being ashamed of his "filthy wings" as long as he got to help Tokoyami? Maybe it will make more sense on another read.
Spinner and Izuku
I feel like this scene is pretty underrated. Heck, it may even cemented Spinner as one of my favorite villains. To me, it really goes to show the tragedy at the core of Spinner's character. That, for all of his desire to change things or help out his friends, he was too weak to see any change made for himself. So he attached himself to idols like Stain or Tomura. He was always manipulated or pulled by something else. Whether it be the radicalization of Stain or the machinations of All For One, his hopes were used against him, his mindless actions given meaning by peons. All it did was lose him everything. He was, ultimately, a kid who was in over his head and was turned into a monster because of it. The monster everyone saw him as.
And while I've heard some people complain about Tomura only having a message for Spinner, I think that's more about the relationship Tomura had with the rest of the League. They were aligned together for a mutual goal and had some care for one another, but I don't think they ever understood or were close to one another. Spinner is the only one Tomura had any kind of real closeness. That's the whole point of the gamer line, as silly as it was. So, while to the rest of the League, he was Shigaraki, the force of destruction and change, to Spinner, he was Tomura, a friend who he wanted to fight for. My only issue, again, is some unfortunate openness with the ending. Spinner writing a book to spite the heroes is fine, but it leaves this unfortunate implication that this book will be used to radicalize more people. I don't think that is the intention, but again, it's not very clear.
Everyone Do Your Share
I was originally frustrated by how much of the final chapters spent on the cleaning up of things, especially since there were so few chapters left. However, looking back, I do feel it's pretty important to reinforce the idea of everyone trying to help in their own way, no matter how big or small it may be. And in doing so, show the changes on every level possible. It's there to show how things are changing by how people act and see heroes. We've got the civilians doing their part to help the heroes, and we've got the next generation changing their perspective on heroism. All thanks to Class 1-A and their efforts. It's just a nice and efficient way to show things changing from a broader perspective.
Which leads me to the stitch mouth kid. I saw people begging that this kid would be the new Tomura and show that society is still bad and broken. As if something like that wouldn't undermine the entire point of the ending. The whole point is that anyone can be a hero in any way, as long as you are willing to reach out and help others. And people who see a problem can and should do something to help people. They should help when they have the chance before it is too late. So having the old woman reach out to help another lost child is a nice way to tie up that point. And the whole point of all this is that the heroes, especially Izuku, don't need to do everything themselves.
The More Things Change
Many people were upset of the idea of aspects like hero rankings and the Hero Commission not being abolished by the time the series ended. I disagree. I never thought that the rankings themselves were bad or wrong, nor did I think the story ever shows that the rankings are bad. That only seemed to be an issue with Enji and that had a lot of personal issues behind it. Every other hero seemed to be perfectly content to do hero work regardless of the rankings. Now, the Hero Commission, I can understand more. It's shown to be morally gray with its power. However, I don't think the existence of this kind of system is inherently wrong. Having oversight to heroes isn't a bad idea. It's just that the usage of it use to a lot of problems. And most of those people that propagated it are dead and gone.
Further still, there are people that say nothing has changed in the setting. That, since these systems are still in place, it's always going to be like this. Again, I disagree. Because of the massive devastation wrought by Tomura, it gave Japan a fresh start with the current generation. This gives the country the chance to overhaul those systems, even if they are still around. At the end of the day, systems are made up of and by people. The story makes it clear many times how important it is to win the crowd over. And if you win the hearts and minds of the people, it could go on to propagate massive change to the system. If enough people want to change and push for it, things will change. Saying that "things didn't change because systems can't be changed" is such a horrifically pessimistic take on the ending.
The Death of Villains
I've mentioned it before, and I'll say it again: I don't mind Toga dying. By extension, I don't mind the villains dying either. While it may seem tragic and pointless for her to die, I do think that is kind of that point. And no, I don't think this means that she "couldn't be saved". I think it's more of a tragedy. She was the one that people could have been saved before, but it was far too late to help her given how far she had gone. And her dying isn't a failing of that. Because Toga's ultimate goal was to live and die on her own terms. Specifically, being able to express herself and her "love". And to a lesser degree, to have someone try to understand her. I think her dying to save Uraraka is a good end to her character. By extension, that's how I feel about a lot of the villains' deaths in this. They got what they wanted, tragically died in order to see it through to the end. At least there's some peace for them, in that respect.
There's also a matter of "saving". I think a lot of fans took this too literally. To me, "saving" was more about reaching out and trying to understand villains rather than simply fighting them. "Saving" was never going to be the same as "redeeming". Because let's be real, there is no redeeming these people. Not because they can't be redeemed, it's because they don't want to be redeemed, and I think it'd betray their characters to do so. They are unapologetically bad and have hurt a lot of people. Every member of the League is complicit in the deaths of thousands and throwing an entire country into chaos. They aren't wrong for fighting the system, they're wrong for killing countless people to do so. And I have to ask what the other options are? You either have them be forgiven and turn good, which would be insane given the crimes they committed and their characters, or have them locked up forever, which is a fate worse than death. At least in death they can have some form of peace by escaping the consequences of their actions and all the suffering they went through.
Izuku x Uraraka:
Yeah, I'm kind of confused about why it turned out like this. I'm ignoring all the shipping concerns that come from it. I'm more focused on the story and characters. The whole idea of Uraraka and Toga's shared story was about understanding your feelings, both towards yourself and other people. Especially how bad it is to repress and hide your feelings. The whole catalyst of Toga's story was her being forced to repress herself. So having this whole subplot end like this is really odd if Uraraka doesn't express her feelings. That's not mentioning all the hints, setups, and teasing that pushed these two as a potential couple that fell through by not having any conclusion. I honestly wonder why Hori, or his editors, decided to back down like this.
Which, hey, now may not be the best time for a confession, but it's still jarring not to see anything come of it after all this time. Especially since so much of the chapter is about the two talking about their feelings. So why is it written like this? Now, I want to dismiss the popular concept that Hori changed this because of death threats between the two. While it's not something I'd put past obsessive fans, there hasn't been anything to substantiate the claim. So, barring rogue translators, my only guess is that Hori or an editor didn't want to do the reveal now and wanted to focus more on the important parts of the two's connection about inspiring one another. I can understand that, but it feels like a part of their dynamic is missing without any real acknowledgment of the two's feelings.
Izuku and Uraraka:
And I say all that to preface that I do like a lot of this scene and I do think it's important to each of the characters. Because Ochako is being open with her feelings here. It's just not the feelings that were being set up all the way in the first chapter. It's the two trying to connect and come to terms with their own failings with their villains. Only to have Izuku reach out his hand, reaffirming that sometimes all people need is a small act of kindness. Though it's hard to always do that, he's willing to do it because he's just that good of a guy. And having Izuku say that Uraraka is his hero is more heartfelt and important to these characters and the story at large then any confession could have been.
And then we have the rest of Class 1-A coming to help as well. It works as a good parallel to Uraraka saving Izuku back during the Dark Hero Arc. It fits with the idea of heroes saving and helping one another. My only major issue is that I kind of wish we had gotten a little more with Izuku talking about his own feelings regarding Tomura, but we already got that back in Chapter 424. All and All: am I still disappointed that Izuku and Uraraka didn't have any romantic resolution? Kind of. It's less that I wanted them to get together and more I wanted some kind of resolution for it. But I still think what we got is good and that people are focusing way too much on what isn't there than what is there. Which I feel like is a problem with a lot of the ending, but we'll get to that.
Class 1-A Futures:
I do wish we got to see more of the future of Class 1-A, even if they were brief snippets. There are glimpses of Shoto and Bakugou. Bakguou's is alright, and I do like the final bit about no one connecting Shoto and Endeavor. I think that's a good ending for him. The most we get with any kind of detail are Shoji's and Urarak's groups. And I guess Shoji had a good future? Look, the Heteromorph plotline is arguably one of the worst parts of the whole manga. It may even be worse than the Stars and Stripes arc. So I can't exactly muster a lot of enthusiasm seeing it resolved by Shoji in the end. I suppose him thanking the people at the riot was nice? That whole part of the story honestly deserves its own post talking about it.
On the flip side, I'm fine with Uraraka's ending. Because I think people tend to conflate a lot of what makes up "Quirk Counseling", mostly thanks to people like Curious and Toga. One is part of a cult that wants to destroy society and the other most grievously targeted by it. From what we've actually seen of it, such as Tamaki's flashback, it just seems to be a lot of training and understanding your Quirk. Toga was just an unfortunate case where the system as it was couldn't help her and could only try and fit her into a niche. So I don't think expanding it is that big of a problem. Plus, expanding could include more extensive counseling that is more tailored to each child. I do think it's kind of odd that Iida and Momo seem to be stapled on to this ending, though. I'm not sure how this works as an end for either of them. I guess their roles as leaders of the class?
Great Teacher Izuku
Look, I don't mind Izuku having this job. Do I think there could have been other choices for this? Yes, but this is by no means bad. Being a teacher is a lot more respectable in Eastern cultures. Especially since he's teaching at the best hero school in the country, if not the world, it is certainly a high-profile job. And he is still being a hero in his own way and helping out the next generation as a teacher. More importantly, I still think that Izuku achieved his dream of being the greatest hero. The man brought down the greatest villain in human history and was one of the two people responsible for causing a massive shift in the way the world of heroes works. He is truly the world's greatest hero. There is no debating that. This is like some kid wanting to go to space to be the greatest astronaut. They not only go to space, they're the first person on Mars. They also stop the martins from invading Earth, killing the king of the martins, and save humanity. Now injured, they instead teach other cadets how to be astronauts. Would they not have success in their goal of being the greatest astronaut? I don't think anyone could match up with that.
However, my issue is with everything surrounding it. There isn't any set up for him becoming a teacher. It gives us the sense that this was the back-up option for when his real dreams feel through. Especially since Izuku gave everything he could to try and be a hero, and it doesn't happen until the very end of this manga. Which doesn't seem like the intention, since Izuku seems happy enough, but I heard a lot of people saying that. It's lacking in that catharsis and satisfaction that you'd expect from an ending. But you can have an ending that's not exactly happy and still be cathartic, and I think that still applies here. And another problem I have is that he's teaching at UA. Yes, he's helping out the next generation of heroes, but he's not helping out the people that need it most. The kind of people who don't make it into UA. The kind of people like Tomura, Spinner, and Twice. Those are the kind of people that should be getting help like this. Why not put him in a position with a much greater ability to help people? Finally, wasn't the whole point of All Might's arc? That there are other ways to be heroes and life outside of hero work? Why not have that aspect of the story be resolve with him instead of Izuku? He was already going down that route to begin with. Why repeat the same idea?
Walk and Talk
Again, I'm going to have to counter a major talking point I've seen in the fanbase. No, Izuku is not unhappy in his job. He seems to enjoy it and is in fact very good at it, as seen when talking to his students and the plate kid, Dai. He's only unhappy in one panel, in which he's being talked down to by Aizawa. No, Izuku is not forgotten by the world. He's mentioned in the same breath as some of the greatest heroes in the series, has his own statue with the rest of Class 1-A, and is so famous that people know his real name and is of such mythical status that people question if he is real. No, Izuku's friends did not abandon him. The most that Izuku says about that is that it's difficult for all twenty members to get together. He's still probably seeing them in smaller numbers. And I can tell you as someone who has had trouble even getting a quarter of that number of people into a single time slot, it's going to be difficult to get twenty people with separate schedules and lives together.
As for everything with Dai, it's fine. His perspective is pretty important as we get to see the changing worldview. With the demystification of heroes and the elevation of other roles in helping others, young people are now all getting into different fields. The talk around the statue is pretty good as well. Having Izuku effectively talk to a younger version of himself is a good way to close out his arc and all the insecurities he's had over the manga. However, part of me feels like this kind of talk should be done with the stitch-mouth kid. We do actually see him as a part of UA students with Kota. I think having Izuku end up talking to him about his Quirk could have been a good way to end his arc by having him be able to help someone similar. Not to say that the Dai stuff was bad or pointless. It just feels odd to include the guy that's supposed to be the metaphorical spirit of Tomura, put him in Izuku's class, and have them not interact.
The Suit
Again, this is another point where I don't have a major issue with it. At least, I don't have an issue getting the suit itself. I have some issues with the semantics. Did it take too long to build? I wouldn't say that. It was revealed in a piece by Horikoshi that it took all of All Might's vast resources to build, and it lacked a lot of the proper safety features. Having it take some time before it's battle ready for Izuku makes sense. However, that isn't in the manga, at least as far as I can tell. Maybe this makes more sense in the volumes, where stuff like this is included all the time. For real though, these people built this in secret for eight years, and they are just now letting him find out. Was there really no explanation you could have added to make that make more sense?
It creates this odd juxtaposition of endings as well. It gives the feeling of the story wanting to have its cake and eat it as well. Someone wanted Izuku come to terms with being Quirkless and to have a life outside of hero work. The other person wanted Izuku to still fight and be a hero. I also wonder why not just have be both at the same time instead of doing this twist. Make it clear that heroes have a lot more time, both thanks to Hawks and the contributions of the many heroes in the world all working together. Izuku doesn't need to be a full-time hero to save people and chooses to be a teacher to help people in a way that only he can do. That way, he can still be a hero that isn't necessarily the profession while being a professional hero without a Quirk.
Final Thoughts
Now, what are my final options for all of this? I think that ending was pretty solid, leaning good. I do agree that it's better than what is on offer than a lot of shōnen series and a good enough ending for the story. I'm not saying it's amazing or perfect. Though I do find myself more satisfied than frustrated. I get a lot of what the story is going for, and it makes sense. It just needed some refinement to really work. As for what everyone else has said about it, I honestly think that a lot of people are overreacting. I wouldn't go as far as to say people are "lacking media literacy" or that they are "reading in bad faith" like others have on either side of the debate. I just think this as a case where the context and delivery of it resulted in a lot of confusion. And more often than not, people will tend to go with the worst version of the implications. This is not helped by the leaks and bad translations which fans ran away with, as well the built-up hype and headcanons, which poisoned the well for a lot of people.
However, I cannot deny that there is part of the fanbase that is simply not getting the manga. I don't want to use the word "tourist", because that's a No True Scotsman fallacy, but it's starting to feel applicable here. The people who simply aren't reading the manga, whether it be through engaging with it solely through other people talking about it, or trying to look at it anything beyond the most kneejerk and surface level reactions. Because a lot of people tend to conflate what My Hero Academia is about or what its story is conveying. And unfortunately, those are the people with massive followings. Anyone with a differing opinion is drowned out in the sea of angry comments. And I think we really need to get away from that. What I'm saying is that you read the story as it is. Focus on what is happening and what it is trying to say. Don't force a meaning or headcanon on something that wasn't there and don't rely on word of mouth for what the manga is about. Just focus on what the story is trying to say.
My only hope is that this will pass, and calmer heads will win out. That once it's stepped outside the zeitgeist, people will be able to analyze it as a whole. If not, then I'm terrified to think that this will become My Hero Academia's legacy: a bunch of stupid jokes made by people who can't bother to read the official version of the story or try to understand a culture outside their own even when it plays a vital role within the story. If not, then I can hope that maybe something else will come to replace it. Because I'm not sure if this is truly the end. I've heard rumors that there's going to be something akin to Naruto: The Last or the Naruto Wedding Special coming out after the anime ends. If not that, who knows who other kinds of side material will come out to follow up on the world or characters. Which would make sense. The ending doesn't feel like an ending as much as it does "And the adventure continues." Which could be why I'm not as affected by this ending as other people.
There's certainly the cultural side and how that surrounds the manga. I'll always stand by the fact that this manga is a Japanese story by a Japanese author for a Japanese audience. And there's a lot of cultural context that goes into the series. I keep thinking about how a lot of Japanese fans seemed to like the ending and how much I wished I had the context to understand it. Another part of it is how much I'm thinking about Hori. Because for all the popularity of it, being a mangaka is one of the most stressful jobs in Japan. One where the artist has much less say over how their story goes. I'm so curious about what went on behind the scenes to make My Hero Academia turn out the way it is. Was all this Hori fumbling his own story, whether that be through incompetence or failing health, or were there outside forces pressing on him to do things a certain way? It's like how people became more forgiving of Kubo or Toriyama once they found out how hamstrung they were by their higher ups. I suppose only time will tell.
Rewrite
Now, time for the Rewrite portion. As a reminder, I do try to keep to what the manga does as close as possible. For example, I personally would just let Izuku keep some version of "One For All" if the ultimate conclusion was him still being a hero. However, it's obvious that Hori didn't want to go that route with it, so I'll be sticking to him getting with the suit.
Starting things off, we'll be in the hospital with Izuku and All Might recovering. We're told about "One For All" leaving him, and we'll get some reaction from Izuku about it. He will be sad but resolved. He may not have "One For All", but he's still alive. He's got the skill and will to help people without it. And he still wants to do that, even in his own way, because he still has value without "One For All". This could help soften the blow of Izuku losing out on "One For All". That and it's at least something to try to tie up Izuku's self worth issues. This will also be something confirmed by Inko, putting a nice little bow on all this with her being more properly encouraging of Izuku as opposed to how things were in Chapter 1.
Then we're going to reveal how many people want to talk to Izuku. Reporters are going to be hounding Izuku for his story, considering how he was key in stopping Tomura. Which he obviously can't do right now due to his condition. After some time, he will eventually recover enough to give a press conference. This will also be where we get the varying opinions on Tomura, having a panel overwhelming Izuku with questions and thoughts. Izuku is now going to use his newly found position to try and change things for the better. He's going to emphasize the importance of the role of the other heroes and not have it all focus on him. He's going to use it as a platform to talk about who Tomura was and why he did what he did.
It's going to be something emotional and vulnerable, something propping up Izuku as a person rather than the hero Deku, working to prevent another situation like All Might where everyone keeps putting them on pedestals. This way, we have both the validation of Izuku saving everyone and wanting to bring about change on the societal level. It shows him being a hero in the traditional way with the defeat of All For One, now he's being a hero in the non-traditional way. This will be cutting into some of the time we have at UA, but to me, I don't think a lot of what's in that part is ultimately necessary to what the story is trying to say.
For the sake of this, Hawks will still be working as the head of the Hero Commission. He'll talk about how he feels free now that his Quirk is gone and everything that came with it, more so than ever before. However, he still wants to make life easier for heroes so that they can feel this kind of freedom. He initially didn't want the position, but felt the need to take it on after everything that's happened and make things right, implying the guilt he feels over his actions. Plus, it has some nice irony of Hawks still being trapped within the Hero Commissions. So him taking the role is more of his own penance and a punishment.
So while Izuku is fighting on the public front, changing the hearts of the masses to enact change, Hawks will be fighting on the political and systematic front, using the devastation of the country as a fresh start. He'll encourage groups of heroes to work together rather than focusing on the individual. He'll push for a greater level of training or vetting when it comes to people who can get a license for hero work. Most importantly, a greater level of accountability and transparency in both heroes and the Hero Commission as a whole.
Lady Nagant will remain in jail, but it's more for reasons of atonement rather than wanting to wait and see how things play out. Hawks will try to offer her some deal or reduction as a way to make things right, but she feels like it's the right thing to do rather than trying to pretend it never happened. This will also be the part where we explore some of the points with Hawks we talked about earlier. Lady Nagant can even question if the Hero Commission is needed, but Hawks can talk about all the reforms he wants to do with it.
For Chapter 426, we're shortening the Todoroki family time, and it will only take up half of the chapter. I will have some confirmation on whether or not Rei was able to move on from what Enji did and do more to cement how Enji is alone now. He may be resolved to change and make things right, but he is not getting his family back. That ship has sailed. Instead, we'll be sticking to everything involving Hawks and Toshinori in the latter half of this, with him talking to Lady Nagant and him discussing his plans for changing the ranking systems in general. I think it'd flow a lot better, works with tying up another character so closely tied to the Todorokis, and gives us more time for other stuff.
However, we're keeping 427 mostly intact. I think Spinner's material is good, and everything that got brought up needed to be mentioned one way or another. The most I'd do is cut down on the ending gag, since it frustrates me so much, and some of the interviews since we may not need them as much with how I'll be changing things in those sections. I am removing the Kai part of the chapter as well. I like Kai, but this honestly feels pointless in the grand scheme of things.
The biggest change will be that I'll include a bit where, instead of Izuku saying to make it a comic book, he'll remind Spinner to think about what would happen if someone like Spinner read it. About how important a book like that could be and how it should be written, but also how it could hurt someone who reads it. Spinner will remain silent in response, thinking back on how he saw Stain and how he was puppeteered around by the likes of One For All and the PLF during the Final War.
I think you could do a nice parallel between Izuku and Spinner here. They were two young men who were ultimately racialized and hurt by their idols and their lack of self-worth. Again, it's showing Izuku thinking about himself more with what has happened to him and tying that to Spinner's own situation. Plus, it prevents something like Spinner's book from having the unfortunate implication of turning out to something like the MLA book.
We're cutting Chapters 428 and 429 in half and stitching them together. Specifically, all the stuff with the new Class 1-A and the Old Class 1-A will be removed. I just feel like we don't need to focus on this as much as other parts of the world or story. Preferably, I would want them to get together. With the Bakugou and Shoto being seen bit, we're throwing in Izuku as well. There needs to be some confirmation that people did in fact see him as a hero as well and confirm that the three are in fact the new Big Three of UA. I'm not asking this to be the norm of it like they do in Naruto. I just feel like there should be some external validation.
The fight between Toga and Uraraka will be around and released to the public. Her death will be seen as something tragic to the world and help spark the change we see later on with people empathizing with villains like her. This could also lead to Izuku seeing it and being the impetus for Izuku and Ochako talking about their feelings. Yes, this chapter will include a confession for Ochako to Izuku. It won't be during a breakdown, but it needs to be put in somewhere and might as well be here. I'll even settle for an implication. Up to you on whether or not you think this should solidify them as a couple, but I feel like you have to include that in order to complete all of the set-up in the series and especially with Toga.
The new Chapter 429 will instead be a two-year time jump into the future before everyone is graduating. We can still start it off with some of the "where are they now" bits, but not have it take up too much time. With the final embers of "One For All" starting to fade out, Izuku knows this is the end of him as a proper hero, but it doesn't matter to him. He got to be the greatest hero in history who literally saved the world. He doesn't define himself by having a Quirk or not and knows that he can still help people without a costume on. Izuku plans on either going into counseling, charity work, or even trying to get a job at the Hero Commission. Up to you on this one. He still wants to help and stop the various hurting people of the world from ever becoming like anyone from the League ever again. Make it clear this is something Izuku wants.
This is when Toshinori gives him his graduation gift: the suit. Between Toshinori's remaining resources, gifts and gratitude from the various people across the world, and contributions from members of 1-A, they were able to build him the suit. Toshinori kept it from Izuku because it wasn't ready until a few days ago, needing to be properly prepared and built as opposed to the rush job that was the dangerous prototype he used. Izuku, of course, has notes and ideas for improvements on the suit. Toshinori reaffirms that Izuku earned this, and he will still be a worthy hero and successor, Quirkless or otherwise. The chapter ends with Class 1-A and 1-B graduating. I know that two years seems short, but I think that the timespan is enough of a time gap to get the suit together, at least with how I am setting it up, and to have the embers of "One For All" fade.
The alternative route is that, knowing that the embers are running out, Izuku still wants to be a hero. So he's spent the last two years trying to prepare himself for that, putting as much time into training and learning how to use equipment made for him. He doesn't care if he isn't going to be the top hero. He's going to do what he's already been doing: helping people, because that's all he really wanted out of life. That this whole experience changed how he saw himself and hero work. You could even say that it's the prototype for him, eventually becoming the suit. Maybe even combine them both, with the former being a backup plan after hero work. And while I have never been the biggest fan of the whole "Quirkless Hero" concept with how little it's supported in the world, I think we can let it slide because it's the finale. But I wanted to mention it because I thought it'd be an interesting path for the story to take.
Then the real chapter 430 will cut to the future, roughly five to six years. I could take or leave Izuku being a teacher, but for the sake of this, let's say that he is one. Heroes have more time off, so he decides to help educate people. We'll get a similar series of panels that will focus more on the world with how it is now, mainly in relation to Class 1-A. This will show a lot more of how the 1-A kids have grown and the affects they have on the world, like Uraraka actually interacting and helping a kid like Toga come to terms with their power to show how Quirk Counseling has become a tool to help people. I think we really need more scenes like that to really show that things have grown and changed with the world. Izuku's suit will have changed as well, commenting on how much he's been involved with the modeling and planning throughout his most current iteration.
Toshinori will be living his life and still teaching at UA. He talks about how all the kids want to be like Izuku, especially with Kota, and that they never stop talking about him. He jokes to himself about how he feels like he's been forgotten. Cut back to Izuku's old school with the kid in the back. Events will happen similarly to what they did in Chapter 430, with Izuku meeting a kid similar to himself at All Might's statue. There will be the usual stuff he said, trying to encourage the kid, making comparisons to himself, maybe even showing the photos All Might took of him when he was training. He gets a call about an incident and needs to leave. He tells the kid to never forget about the hero he can be and to never stop striving to be that hero. The final words of the series are the ever-iconic "Plus Ultra". This is beyond cheesy, but if we're going to end the series, we might as well end it with some cheese.

And they hit it off at the park or something sweet like that? I really love Steve and Bug but I like Lego more than science things and super hero’s so maybe he also likes legos? If that’s okay? Thank you 🌼

Steve Rogers X Little!Reader (He/Him Pronouns used)
Warnings - Talks about Steve only ever being sought out because of his name, mentions of stuck lego bricks (The worst)
Notes - I really loved writing this! I hope you like it! Thank you so much for your request!!! <3 Also this is short! I'm sorry!
. ☆ . ☾ . ☆ . ☽ . ☆ . ☾ . ☆ . ☽ . ☆ .
The past week had been cloudy, rain popping up from time to time, so when the sun finally came out to play Y/n made his way to the park. Sat on his big yellow blanket, legos scattered around, a half made treehouse created as the wind blew past.
Steve too had taken advantage of the sunny weather, a casual outfit and a ballcap on as he walked through the park, soaking up the warm air and bright sunshine.
"Can you help me? Please?" A soft asked from Steve's left. Turning to see who needed his help he wasn't expecting to see someone holding up two pieces of blocks stuck together, a frown on his face.
"Sure, Buddie. What do you need me to do?" He questioned, feeling uncertain about the situation, knowing that many people asked him seemingly easy questions to lower his radar just to bombard the super solider later.
"There stuck together." The boy pouted, his eyebrows pulled together, sadness dripping from his features. "I tried to undo 'em bu' I couldn't." He shrugged his shoulders, fiddling with some of the other blocks before checking back in on Steve.
"Here." Steve handed the two blocks back, this time unstuck. "What are you building?" Steve asked, crouching down to get closer to the action, blocks strewn about in loose colour groupings.
"'m making a treehouse!" The boy shouted, smiling big. "It's gonna be really tall and big!" He giggled, placing the two un-stuck blocks on different sections.
"Can I help?" Steve asked, instantly enamored with the boy who sat in front of him. Happy to be treated like some random dude off the street, needed for nothing but a block fix and small chat.
"You can't help me, I have a vision." Y/n said shyly. "But you can build your own?" He offered, hoping that the big guy with a nice smile and good block fixing hands would stick around a little longer.
"Sounds good to me." Steve laughed, laying half on the blanket and half on the grass. "Just let me know if I steal a piece you need, okay?"
"'kay." Y/n pushed a few piles of legos towards the man, letting him pick from his discard piles. "'m Y/n." He said, focused on his legos.
"I'm Steve." Steve said, focused on Y/n, legos long forgotten.
"Dat's a nice name." Y/n nodded, clicking blocks together.
"My last name is Rogers." Steve added. "Steve Rogers." He was waiting for some sort of recognition, a sharp inhale of breath, something that would show Y/n knew who he was.
"Oh!" Y/n looked to him. "Like Mr Rogers tv show? It's a good last name, he's fun." Steve had no idea who this Mr Rogers was, but he was glad to have found someone who liked his company instead of his fame.
"Sure, Buddie. Like Mr Rogers." He shook his head, trying his best to get his few blocks to resemble a treehouse as Y/n effortlessly created a masterpiece. The two of them stayed there for hours, chatting, giggling, and building a bunch of treehouses.

James belittles his issues, like a lot. At first, he's like "Remus got turned into a werewolf at 5, Sirius and Regulus have horrible parents and were emotionally and physically abused. So compared to that, I've got such a good life because both my parents love me and each other so I have no reason or right to be sad" And at first, it all goes well, his friends always go to him to get cheered up or to simply vent. It all goes well till one day in his 6th year.
He tripped on his shoe right as he woke up, he got detention, quidditch practice got canceled halfway through because of terrible weather, he was soaked cold and his glasses kept fogging up. He just wanted to drink something warm with his friends and was waiting for them in the common room when a 5th year asked for him from behind.
And he loved helping people, the thought of helping someone made him so happy and he would never turn someone away.
But when he turned around to talk to the person, they just sighed and offered a small smile "Leave it, looks like you're having a bad day yourself" They gave him a Mars bar and left him with a word of "Feel better 'kay" and left.
Dread filled James, someone needed his help and they turned themselves away just cos what? His day went bad and he was being a baby about it? From then on, James promised himself that he wouldn't be anything but happy in front of everyone.
It all caught up to him though, because he couldn't vent to his friends without feeling guilt and so he kept things to himself. No one figured out anything until the summer before 7th year when Sirius found James crying in his room in the Potter Manor. He wouldn't confess until Sirius got too annoying with his concern and he let it all out.
Sirius told him that his Hero complex that he accidentally cultivated had gotten into his head too much. He made him talk to Euphemia about it and he felt almost instantaneously better as soon as she hugged her.
He still hadn't gotten over it, Sirius thinks. Even 14 years after his death, James shows up in his thoughts to comfort him through his distress. Just a person that wanted to help everyone. He wept at the thought of James Potter, who he was, and the amazing person he could've been.

things i want from ms s7:
- michi returns and crashes the aarmau wedding
- vylad has his main character era where he has to play detective and figure out what's wrong with his family and what exactly went down on starlight because everybody is too traumatized to say what happened (dante & laurance are the watson to his sherlock)
- the shadow knights return for one last slay
- jenny returns and oddly enough becomes besties with aphmau (jennymau toxic yuri ftw. come on, aphmau literally saved the world, she should be allowed to cheat on her fiancee with women as a treat)
- MORE TRAVIS AND AARON INTERACTIONS. the parallels are there! they could bond over being cursed souls and their messy relationships with their (deceased) fathers.
- kimcinda becomes canon. fight me. lucinda and kim are gfs. also emmalyn leaves kim's body and moves onto the afterlife with kenmur and mcd aphmau.
- nana reveals her past and her real name to the rest of the cast. she finally leaves behind her "kawaii~chan" persona, and searches for who she truly is, possibly going on a quest to track down her family with zane.
- make garrance at least implied or give garroth any boyfriend. we deserve one genuine mlm relationship that isn't just played for laughs.
- teony and ivy also return bc i said so.
- zack has a redemption arc and reconnects with aphmau ofc.
- ein's mom shows up as a villain, seeking revenge for her son's death. but when she sees how hurt and sad everybody is, she feels bad and doesn't have the heart to hurt them any further. she also finds out how much pain and suffering her son has caused to everybody, and begins to feel guilty because of how she raised ein.
- ein's ghost haunts the cast and possesses several characters. they eventually have to appease his spirit because it's the only way to get him to leave them alone and put his soul to rest. ein's spirit has very long conversations with all of his enemies — aphmau (they find out they're half-siblings which makes them both feel a mixture of disgust and sadness), aaron (they finally find one thing they can agree on, they both hate their dads, and put their rivalry to rest), blaze, daniel, dottie, rylan, kacey, katelyn, kai, gene, zack and his own mother. [+possibly an ein backstory in flashbacks/animation to finally explain his motivation in detail]. ein finally moves on to the afterlife (HELL ofc).
- elizabeth starts off as the main villain of the season. you think she's gonna do evil stuff and kill people like michael and ein did, and then BAM — halfway through the season she has a reluctant change of heart and semi-redemption arc (with zack's support) and ends up an anti-hero instead. she reunites with her family. katelyn is not happy to see her at all and is still very angry at her. but kacey warms up to her much quicker surprisingly and they spend quality mother-son time together.
- all in all pretty peaceful season with depressing undertones. it's like early, slice-of-life mystreet and late, dark mystreet fused together. there are a lot of red herring villains (michi, ein's mom, elizabeth), but none of them actually do anything evil and all of them have a change of heart. nobody dies.
- the void consumes everything. but the cast ends up creating a new dimension (with the help of the void paradox cast!) and uses the realm breaker to transport themselves into it just before the mystreet dimension is consumed and dies off. the series ends with aphmau and co swearing to build a better world in the new dimension they have created.
.

Hi, there!
Realized I forgot to do my little intro thingy that I did for Ninjago and LEGO Monkie Kid. Whoopsie!
So, hi to people who didn't witness me liveblogging those. I have links on my pinned comment if you're interested.
To everyone else, welcome back! I'm happy to be back in the world of Ninjago again. LEGO Monkie Kid is amazing, if you haven't seen it yet. I really recommend it. Especially if you like silly little LEGOs who hurt your feelings.
So, Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
When we last left our heroes of Ninjago, the ninja had saved the world (again) from the Overlord (again). Kai, Zane, Cole, and Jay were left without their Elemental Powers. The country of Ninjago was looking a little rough. And Lloyd's little brother, Christofern, found a new home.
I highly doubt we're going to see Christofern, so sad face for that. But! I was promised the ninja will return and there will be dragons! So, I'm happy about that.
What else...
Oh! I was told about 3/4 of the way thru Ninjago that I'll be meeting some new characters who I will adopt. I'm expecting them to be adorable and to immediately love them. And, yes, they will most likely be adopted before I finish the episode.
Ok. Are you ready to join me in my first viewing of Ninjago: Dragons Rising? I'll be starting in about 15 minutes.

~♡~ Love’s captive duel ~♡~
Part 1 Part 3 Part 4
Kai looked at him, placing a hand on the arm holding him to the wall. “Future hero. If even.” The boy said, reaching into his back pocket. Whatever he had grabbed from the game cabinet earlier was in there. He just needed and escape route and he could get Dabi.
“Because pro heroes…” Kai said with a small smirk as he lifted up a gun towards your unconscious body. Bakugou’s eyes widened. Oh gods. He had noticed you, tucked behind the boxes, but not out of shooting range. “Don’t let people die.”
Bang!
Everything froze. Everything became silent. All that his ears seemed to be able to hear was the ringing coming from the sound of the gun.
The ringing and Kai’s arrogant voice.
“What the hell-“ He froze when he felt the guys shirt slip from his hand. “What did you-“ He turned, slowly. Hoping, praying that there wasn’t what he feared.
The bullet had gone through your shoulder, the pain jolting you awake for the first time with a scream. You clutched your shoulder as he felt a glimmer of relief. Nowhere vital.
Bakugou felt an indescribable mix of rage and fear fill him as you let out a scream from the bullet in your shoulder. He quickly rushed over to you and knelt down.
“Damnit…” He muttered as he began carefully peeling the coat off your shoulders and moving the fabric out of the way so he could see the wound.
You let out another shout of pain, resting your head against the box behind you. Opening one eye, you looked at him, still hazy. “Katsuki? Where…?”
Hearing you say his name, especially his first name, made him feel a little better. At least you were still somewhat conscious and could talk.
It’s okay…I’m right here…” He said softly, his tone having shifted from the furious one he’d used back there to something that sounded more concerned. “Hold still for me real quick, okay?”
He very very gently felt around the wound, not pressing too hard but checking to see if there was an exit wound on the back. A feeling of relief washed over him when he confirmed that there was.
“It went right through…but it’s still gonna hurt like hell.” He carefully felt around the wound again, trying to assess how bad it really was.
You gritted your teeth and muttered something along the lines of ‘it already does’.
Bakugou cursed and tried to think fast. You needed medical help. That’s obvious. But how the hell was he supposed to get you out of here?
He looked over his shoulder at Kai, who was on the ground. He was slowly getting up, shaking from a combination of the punches he’d gotten and the adrenaline. The bastard was still conscious.
His eyes flickered between you and Kai, trying to think of what to do. His own brain was going at a million miles per hour.
You looked up at him before you eyes welled up. “Gods, I didn’t mean to drag you into this.” You whispered. You felt like a failure as a hero in training. You couldn’t get yourself out of this and instead you needed someone to save you. Pathetic.
“He drugged me, and when I tried to fight back, he….” You trailed off, holding the bandaged stab wound.
Bakugou looked at you with a mix of anger and sadness. He hated seeing you like this. You were tough, you were strong, yet you’d still get thrown into some sort of trouble and be the one to get hurt in the end?
“That’s not your fault. None of this is your fault.” He gently grabbed your chin so you would look at him. His voice softened a bit more. “You can’t blame yourself for any of this, got it?”
“Unless they can.” Kai’s voice came from behind you two and your eyes widened as you looked up at him. He had the gun pointed to the back of Bakugou’s head, wiping a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth. The blonde’s punches had done a number on him. “You two are coming with me. Dabi’s waiting outside.”
For the hundredth time in that day, Bakugou felt a wave of anger wash over him. Kai had the nerve to come up behind him like that while his guard was down? “Like hell we’re going anywhere with the two of you.”
He said through his teeth. Kai just chuckled, a smirk on his face. “I’m afraid you don’t have a choice.”
You watched the two of them with wide eyes. The blonde boy could tell one thing from your current state—with the overwhelming amount of injuries you had, plus the stab wound in your side and the after effects of the drugs? You couldn’t walk.
He could see you were struggling to even sit right at the moment. There was no way you were going to be able to stand up and walk out of the building like Kai wanted. “You’re insane if you think they’re gonna walk outta here like this.”
“I’ll just carry them out then.”
Bakugou clenched his jaw. He didn’t like that at all. The thought of anyone other than himself carrying you just pissed him off. Kai didn’t see you as a person. He saw you as a bargaining chip to get to Dabi for gods knows what reward. “The hell you are.”
Kai chuckled darkly and pressed the gun harder against the back of his head. “Like I said, you don’t have a choice.”
“I’ll fuckin’ carry them then.” God damn it. He knew that he didn’t really have a choice. Kai had all the power here. Any sudden movement, and Bakugou’s head would become a bloody mess. “Move. The. Gun.”
“Or what?”
“Or I’ll rip you apart with my bare hands.”
“You’re in no position to threaten me, hero.”
He gritted his teeth. Dammit. He knew Kai was right. There wasn’t much he could really do with a gun at the back of his head. “I swear as soon as I get the chance…”
“You’ll what?” Kai chuckled, clearly amused at the situation. “You’ll do absolutely nothing and you’ll cooperate. Now pick them up.”
He let out a deep breath. Kai just didn’t know when to back off. He knew he had all the power in his situation so he was taking every chance to belittle him.
“Alright, alright. I will. Just…lay off.” He said through clenched teeth as he carefully slid his arms under you, trying not to hit or irritate your wounds as he slowly scooped you up off the ground and into his arms.
“Hurry up or it’s they’re leg next.”
Bakugou slowly stood up, adjusting the way he was holding you so he could get a better grip. He grumbled under his breath as he tried to keep your pain as low as possible. “Don’t you lay a goddamn finger on them.”
“So overprotective. How cute.” Kai said, narrowing his eyes as his finger tightened on the trigger. He nodded his head up the basement stairs. “Walk.”
Bakugou slowly began walking towards the stairs, careful to not jostle you too much in his arms. He wanted to keep you comfortable as best as he could while in this shitty situation.
He tried to keep his eyes forward, not giving Kai the satisfaction of a glare right now. That’s exactly what he wanted.
Gods, he swore, if he got the chance, he was gonna blow these guys up.
“You doin okay?” He asked, looking down at you. Immediately he regretted it. You had a black eye, a cut lip, multiple bruises and cuts, a stab wound, and a bullet wound. Of course you weren’t okay.
You looked up at him, still trying to comprehend what was happening. After all, when he had found you, you had been gagged, bound, and unconscious for who knows how long. The only thing that woke you up had been getting shot.
“I could be better.” You mumbled, clutching onto his shirt. Kai scoffed and spoke.
“Quiet, or I’ll regag ya.”
Bakugou wanted to snap at him but he felt your hand grip his shirt. The last thing you needed right now was to be put through any more stress.
“Dammit, let them talk.“
“Or what?”
“I’ll blow your brains out.”
His grip on you tightened as he walked. You were still shaking a bit, probably just from the shock of it all. The bastard had stabbed you, tied you up, and shot you.
Kai smirked and lifted the gun up a little bit higher. It made a small sound from the bullets moving inside and you shrunk down in Bakugou’s arms. “Funny, I’m the one with the gun.” He said, shifting the gun to point back and forth between you and him.
“I swear to gods, I’ll-“
“If you don’t shut your mouth, your both getting gagged.”
Bakugou wanted to continue to argue and threaten the bastard but he also knew he didn’t have a choice. Kai had all the control, which infuriated him.
The only thing he could really do right now was hold you. Try to give you some sense of comfort in this shitty situation.
“Alright. Fine.” He knew that being quiet was the the best choice at that moment.
Right about then, you three made it out of the basement, and in the middle of the living room was Dabi, waiting.
Dabi looked up when the three of you came into the room, still wearing that goddamn smirk. He pushed himself off the counter where he’d been leaning and shoved his hands into his pockets. His gaze flickered over you for a moment before looking back at Kai.
“Well, look who it is.” He looked towards Bakugou and a smirk crept up onto the patchwork bastard’s face. “And he brought a plus one.”
Bakugou gritted his teeth. Gods, he wanted to say so many things to Dabi right now but he had to keep his temper in check. Kai still had the gun pressed against the back of his head. One wrong move and this would all go south.
“I’m not here by choice, dipshit.”
“I can see that. You’re quite attached to them, huh?” The villain gestured to your current position in his arms.
Bakugou’s eyes darkened when Dabi mentioned him being “attached” to you. He knew it was true, yes, but something about the villain pointing it out rubbed him the wrong way.
He adjusted his grip, holding you a little tighter against himself in a protective manner. He could still felt you shaking a bit. “Shut it, jackass.”
Dabi held up his arms in surrender and snickered lightly. “Hey, hey, let’s be civil. I’m not here to play Cupid after all.”
He muttered something under his breath as Dabi smirked again, a sly glint in his eyes.
The patchwork bastard was really enjoying the situation right now.
“Just say what the hell you want. Bakugou grumbled, still holding you closely in his arms. Gods, seeing you looking this hurt was killing him.
“Straight to the point. That’s good.” Dabi chuckled, stuffing his hands back into his pockets, seemingly unfazed by the aggressive tone in the explosive’s voice.
Bakugou continued to scowl. How could this bastard be so calm about this whole situation? It was infuriating. “You get a kick out of this or something?”
“From pissing you off? Maybe a little bit.”
“Bastard.”
“Now now, play nice. We’re being civil, remember?” The villain smirked again and looked between the three of you.
Bakugou wanted to say something but held himself back. He was trying to keep his anger in check but the more Dabi opened his mouth, the more the urge to explode everything around him grew.
He felt you shift slightly in his arms, wincing from the movement. He subconsciously adjusted the way he was holding you again, his grip on you becoming slightly tighter out of worry.
“Relax, hero. I’m not gonna hurt them anymore. They’re no use to us if they’re a bleeding mess.” Dabi said with a smirk.
Bakugou gritted his teeth for a moment but chose not to say anything. He knew Dabi was right. You were valuable for whatever they needed you for. That’s the only reason he hadn’t completely lost it on the villains. “I swear, if you hurt them-“
“Yeah, yeah. You’ll kill me, I know, I know. Threats aren’t gonna do anything.”
“And what’s that supposed to mean?”
“For fucks sake—Kai, do it already.”
The blonde didn’t even have time to react before the host hit smack him right on the back of the head.
All he heard was your scream as he fell to the ground and blacked out.

Something Stupid
Izuku Midoriya x Reader
Summary: you see a Deku on TV with Uravity. Jealously ensues
Warnings: Some smut, swearing, confessions, angst, heartbreak
Part Three - Masterlist - Tip Jar
“Fans love seeing Uravity and Deku on call together.”
“How could they not? Their chemistry is so good! Surely they’re dating.”
“Rumour has it that the two started dating during their studies UA.”
You stare at the large screen in the cafe watching two drama presenters reading off fan theories of Deku and Uravity.
Footage shows alternating images of Uravity floating Deku to a medical bed and caressing his forehead with that look in her eyes that Deku is blind to.
But you see it all to clear.
That look of adoration, desperation, longing, need, want in her eyes.
The pathetic way she looked up at Deku with so much yearning churned your stomach with anger.
You remind yourself that you have both been humping like rabbits for months, he wouldn’t have any stamina left for anyone. He’s begged for you, groaned his thanks for you and held you close to him at the end of every session.
So why does this prickle your skin with irritation?
Uravity is just some stupid love sick hero.
But that’s the problem isn’t it?
Your so uncomfortably far from Deku.
The realm of hero and villainy wedging you two apart, making it highly unlikely anything more would grow between you both. Uravity gravitates within Deku’s world. Uravity is a safe choice, the only choice. If it came down between you two, what other option is there?
What does it matter anyway? It’s just sex.
Sadness creeps over you, heart clenching uncomfortably in your chest.
At what point did it make you feel bad that you aren’t more important? Since when did you feel desperate to be more?
Staring down at the cafe table, locking eyes onto Deku’s diary. Without a moments hesitation you pick up the small book and flick through the pages to see his schedule.
16th June, dinner with Ochaco at Miki’s Diner.
Bullshit.
Bull fucking shit.
He was going to see her today.
Dinner with just Uravity, by themselves, alone, together.
Well, you were just going to have to fix that. You’ll just have to make sure he doesn’t have a single drop of cum left in him to share.
———————————————————————————
Deku looked pretty fucked out as is.
Cum dripping down your sticky thighs as you continue to ride his thick cock. Drool dribbles down the side of his mouth as you hoaxing him onto his third orgasm.
“Fuck Deku I love the way you look right now!” You moan making Deku wrench a loud groan remaining a limp spread under your brutal riding.
You’re too dick drunk to hear the front door of Deku’s home creak open.
“Izuku? I hope you don’t mind I came early. I’ll just wait for you in the living room Kay?” The voice calls. You look down at the delirious boy, to consumed by your gummy walls and soft claps to hear the voice wringing through his home. “Izuku did you hear me?” She calls again.
You flip your self onto your back pulling Deku on top of you. Without having to say anything, he lines himself up and slams himself between your heavenly folds chasing the high he was so close to having before. “God Deku you feel so good, I love how good you make me feel.” His face softens hearing your sweet words wash over him.
“Izuku, call me Izuku.”
“Izuku, baby, please, feels too good. Mh gonna.” His palm clutches tightly around your waist hearing his name slip off your lips, he begins to rut his pounding hips into your tantalising walls. Overwhelmed by the intense sensation, you clench around his shaft and throw your head back gasping as the waves of an orgasm wash over you. Opening your eyes you see non other than the love sick girl herself stare through the crack of the bedroom door, horror closing in on her features, she looked distort, she looked heartbroken, she looked impossibly defeated.
“Fuck!” Izuku grunts spilling the last of his seed deep within your delicious cunt. He collapses on top of you kissing sloppy open mouth kisses into your neck and up your cheek. You watch as the girl runs from the scene, slamming the door on her way out.
“Izuku, that girl you work with saw us…” You say awkwardly making Izuku pause mid-kiss.
“What?”
“That girl your work with … Uravity… I just saw her standing at the door- she just left.” Embarrassment coats him, the kind of embarrassment you feel when your parents catch you in an act you wouldn’t want them to see.
“I’ll- I’ll text her.” He stammers awkwardly fumbling with his phone. Sighing at your sweet helpless boy, you slide your hand on top of the device and pull it away from his grasp.
“No Izuku- she looked upset. It’d be best if you talk to her.” He shifts uncomfortably, pawing gently at your thighs.
“Uh- it’s just so awkward.” He moved to sitting up against the headboard. “She also admitted she had romantic feelings-but I turned her down Y/n, so please don’t worry.” His words bring you on a roller coaster of emotions. Relief at the reassurance, comfort in knowing the truth and guilt. This shouldn’t be bringing you comfort. This is just sex. He is a hero and your a villain, this would never work.
“Why would you do that?” You ask almost desperately, almost sounding longingly.
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s because I love you.” His words fall flat on your ears. Surely he was mistaken. He must be too caught up in your ravenous rendezvous to know the difference between love and lust.
“Don’t. Don’t say something stupid.” You snap, but Izuku remains unwavering at your sudden shift in mood. He need not speak another word. Instead he pulls you into his chest and presses a soft kiss into your temple and begins to caress your back in those slow intoxicating circles he always draw.
“It’s okay Y/n, just accept my love. Don’t push me away.” Melting in his hold you let his words sink into you.
But you can’t allow this.
Your life was a mess, you were a villain the stole relics and returned them to their rightful owners at a large cost.
You weren’t good.
You were bad.
Deku was pure light that shone brightly onto the world which reached the darkest of places.
It was so nice to finally bask in the light of which you had longed for.
It was beyond pleasant to finally be important to someone. For them to see the best in you, for them to acknowledge your flaws but push you to doing better. Being better.
You can’t do this to him.
You can’t ruin his life.
Tear welling up in your eyes you rip away from his comforting hold.
“You - can’t.” Was all you managed to say as you gathered your clothing and bolt out of the room.

Murder Drones Episode 8 Blind Reaction Part 2
Contains spoilers
Cyntessa’s “kay” feels like her version of “I love doing anything.” so cocky and up for anything, but that might just be her downfall.
Guys, the nightcore song is called “BiteMe!” Can this get any better?
It actually has some motifs similar to “Uzi the Drone Killer”, arguably one of the main music themes of the series, so yes, it can.
NOOO! Not Uzi stabbing N! It’s probably a trap or a trick, but still.
Bye J
I mean, yes, but no. Or like a number of blinks and winks
Not using N’s love of dogs against him. or more like the good memories they had before this whole thing
Guys pay attention! V is fighting the abomination alone!
I like the “Let them swallow you” lyric to represent the solver’s insatiable hunger
How you like it now Cyn?
Bit of a callback to the fact they are vampires, or vampire adjacent. The burning in the sun just felt like an appropriate ending for the abomination that’s been haunting everything
Is it over?
The solver has gotten eaten. And their reaction is priceless
But won’t that corrupt/take over Uzi now? or even kill her? that’d be a tragic way to go. Destroyed the monster but you destroyed yourself in the process.
Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, e-
Oh no, she’s dead!
Nvm, we’re good. but is it over? Truly?
We really needed more Thad, honestly. So much characterization gone to waste
Heh, like mother, like daughter.
You could say their hearts are connected. Hope there’s a proper reunion. Please. Please. PLEASE! They’re literally soulmates.
OMG girl, seriously, OC?
But in all seriousness, the battle scars for what she’s gone through is such a nice touch. Her half toned eyes are there to show what happened happened, and she came out alive
And we all know everyone is going to have at least one oc with this new canon trait
It really is a hero’s journey. It came full circle. Now she’s more assured of herself, has friends, and the colony is safe.
We stan a supportive Khan. Character growth.
Not Doll’s corpse!
She’s still a chaos gremlin
Also can we just take a minute to appreciate how far the animation has come from the first episode to now? everyone at Glitch should be proud of their improvement. This series is a testament to their efforts and skills and it’s absolutely wonderful.
I really like how the end credits show everything that’s happened and how it’s changed. Like the partial solver symbol over the planet, Khan and Nori did get a reunion (YEEEEESSSS!) and N finally getting his rummy game.
DOLL?!?!?!?!
Liam Vickers 2D animation, nice touch
The funeral for Doll deserved
And the kids can be kids now. also deserved.
Honestly, everyone who’s worked on this should get a round of applause and a big ol’ “Thank You!” From the production to the voice acting, to the animation, to the sound and music, to the crazy ideas in general that happen to work so well. Thank you so much for making this series a reality. I may have gotten into it later than some others, but I love this show as much as those who’s been there day one. It is a little sad to see it’s done, but I’m also glad it ended as well as it did.
Cyn lives in Uzi’s mind now

@echoes-in-the-forest asked: Mr. Tiger of Kai and Mr. Good of War, I need your help. There's this guy I really like, but he won't give me the time of day because he's... Let's just say obsessed with his work. And maybe his boss. What can I do to get him to notice me? I think I'm just a caterpillar in his eyes. Do you have any tips? Please help! 😭 Yours truly, A sad caterpillar
Dear S.C.,
Angel, please, take my hand towel to wipe away your tears. There is nothing more painful to me than seeing someone cry. Now, breathe, take a step back and assess your situation. First, the man. If someone is obsessed with their work, there is likely a reason behind it. Most people do not work to the exclusion of all else-
[Lord Shingen, are you acquainted with the definition of irony?- Moderatelyawesomeninja]
[I am not obsessed with my work to the exclusion of all else, Sasuke. I play as hard as I work. - Takeda Shingen.][In fact, you do, Lord Shingen. I expect the Mitsumono have finally infiltrated the depths of the Azuchi Gazette and the report is ready? ~ Naoe Kanetsugu]
As I was saying, Angel, discover why your blind-to-you hero works too hard. Perhaps he is working in support of an important cause or ideal. Do you also believe in that cause? Do you admire him for doing this work? If so, see if there is something you can do to help this cause as well. Having a common cause to talk about may help him see you as a person, rather than as a caterpillar who is interrupting the work.
[Caterpillar… Lord Shingen, I fear this particular caterpillar may be interrupting the work through means far more devious than you think. ~ Naoe Kanetsugu]
Is there simply too much work to do? Offer to help take some of the burden off, by perhaps acting as a scribe. He may begin to value your presence. However, Angel, only do this if he is truly overburdened and only if you have the time to spare. Do not undervalue your own time and your own interests.
[Yes. Go sit in the corner with your writing kit. ~ Naoe Kanetsugu]
Another possibility is that the object of your interest has indeed noticed you, but doesn’t want to notice you. If that is the case, he is simply working overtime to avoid being with you. You then have two options. One, don’t let him avoid you. Be around him until he can’t help but interact with you. Or two, give him what he thinks he wants, and let him be driven mad by your absence.
[DON’T GIVE HER IDEAS ~ Naoe Kanetsugu]
Does he feel that he has some kind of obligation to his boss? That is a harder obstacle to overcome, because he might see interruptions as bothersome. If that is the case, wait until he is not working, and try to get his attention then. At this point you might be asking, ‘how?’ Make him think that you are interested in someone else. Now… normally, I would not advocate this kind of deception, however, in these kinds of cases, a little shock value goes a long way. Find a willing partner, someone who would be happy to pretend an interest in you (might I suggest a rather tall tactician who also is more than happy to flirt for a cause), and make sure that the object of your affection notices you with this new person. If he appears to be jealous or distressed, then congratulations, it is working.
[Lord Shingen, the report was due yesterday. ~ Naoe Kanetsugu]
If however, he doesn’t notice, or seems to be happy for you, then well, perhaps there is something more to the boss-obsession.
But don’t be sad, Caterpillar. It might seem this way now, when you are in the midst of these feelings, but there are other men in the world, men who would be willing to treat you as the butterfly you will someday become. Just… look around. Comfort might be closer than you think. Much closer.
Tiger of Kai
sad caterpillar cocooning self in soft silk someday butterfly
[Cousin, did you perhaps doodle a poem on my response? - Takeda Shingen]
[I may have read the letter and become inspired by it. -Yoshimoto]
[These writers come to us for advice. Your poem is not advice. - Takeda Shingen.]
[Is it not? Did I not convey the exact thing you did, in far fewer words? Note, we both suggested Sad Caterpillar will become a butterfly - Yoshimoto]
[Can we not… mention… butterflies? - Moderatelyawesomeninja]
This is not all that Art of Love has to offer. Check out @lorei-writes for the God GOOD of War’s answer to your question.

Watched the new atla show. And now I will share my thoughts because I need to put them somewhere.
I agree with people that it kind of fell flat. More like an impersonation than the actual show. Also, people are right, where is Katara's rage? I'm not going to dive into it, because people already have, but Katara is stubborn and righteous, so where'd they put those qualities?
I wish the show would stop telling us everything. Like, stop telling me that Ozai thought finding the Avatar would be impossible, and sent Zuko on this quest anyway. I know, it's obvious. I don't need to be told the subtext, that's why it's subtext. Subtality could do this show a world of good.
Zhao's death sucked. It was perfect how it was in the original, it showed Zuko's kindness, and Zhao's hubris being his downfall was perfect. Also, this isn't necessarily a complaint, just something I noticed, Zhao feels different in the show. A guy with similar aspirations and ideas, yes, but not the same guy we all hate.
The acting wasn't always the greatest, but I can't tell if it's actually the actor's fault or script (probably script).
I wish Sokka was involved in the Jet plotline, he played a big part in it originally, and it really showed his true character.
Why did Katara and Aang never get any actual training in Northern Water Tribe? That's what they were there to do. Somehow, magically Katara became a master waterbender, because she what? Believed in herself? That's not how learning a skill works. Imagine trying to learn the flute, you're confident, and you figured out on your own how to play a few notes. But you still need someone to teach you the rest of the notes, how to trill, how to read the sheet music, etc. You can't learn everything just from confidence.
The costumes bothered me so much. Sokka and Katara's coats looked so light weight, which is probably more comfortable for the actors, but those coats could not shield you from a light breeze, much less a frozen tundra. Also someone pointed out that their clothes don't actually look worn, and they're right.
What on earth was the scarf scene? Why was it there? What was the point? I am not a Zutara shipper (though I have no hate for the shippers, just dislike for the ship), and now online is just going to be posts about that.
Was Suki just not wearing her warrior make-up because she had to kiss Sokka? Either way, it's still upsetting. The one time she doesn't wear her warrior make-up (which is an honor to wear) is when she's finally in a real fight, and on the day Kyoshi shows up too. Also, no Sokka wearing warrior make-up? I get if they couldn't fit it in, but it's still a bit sad.
I don't understand them getting rid of the fact that Aang ran away, I think it really makes his character more complex as he struggles to take on the responsibilities of the Avatar.
They sorta switched Sokka and Katara's roles in the Omashu tunnels, which I don't get.
Having Zuko fight Ozai in the Agni Kai was a terrible idea.
I'm sorry to say this, because I don't like Zuko being in pain. But Zuko's scar is smaller and a lot more understated than in the animation. I don't know much about burnt tissue, or how it will scar, especially with their technology. But we rarely see heroes with facial scars beyond a line through the eye or something, I don't want it taken away. The scar doesn't even seem to reach his ear. And I'm sad about them confirming his sight was fine. Zuko with some hearing and vision loss is technically just a headcanon. But then why did Zuko only leave his unscarred side up when sleeping around people he didn't trust in the animated version?
I could tell that Aang was airbending during it, so it wasn't really flying. But it's a little too similar, especially considering how significant flying is in Korra.
The thing that bothered me the most was Yue's death. Why was it barely acknowledged?! Yue made a huge sacrifice, but instead we're making up a plotline that causes Aang to have the spotlight instead. And when Sokka was talking to Arnook about Yue, somehow the conversation became focused on Sokka, and his insecurity, instead of someone they both deeply miss (though Sokka and Yue's relationship development could've been better). Sokka is joking around again by the end of the episode, it feels like her death never happened! And why make her a fish! No offense to fishes, but it feels less impactful, and in the original, we could see how Yue was able to keep some of herself alive in the way she presents herself as a spirit, she doesn't do that here.
Some things I liked:
Zuko being upset about Aang stealing his journal.
Sokka and Suki had really good chemistry (though, the show doesn't really give us a reason why Suki likes him, she seems annoyed with him when they first meet).
The effects were good, and I liked a lot of the fight scenes.
Kyoshi.
Oma and Shu being lesbians.
That one lady hitting Zuko for trying to hurt Aang.
Suki being awkward and beating up the guy she likes.
I am impressed with how they were able to overlap some story lines. That must have been difficult to figure out.
The sets.
Azula.
#did hei bai ever get better in the live action#I don't remember it happening#I'll probably add more stuff to the list if I think of things#atla#avatar: the last airbender#atla live action#atla netflix#the show feels like it's made out of cardboard#if that makes sense

Hello!!! all good? remember me? anyway! I come here to bring more things from my kfp au! (I hope you remember, if not, it's the one where Fenghuang meets Tai Lung before his incarceration)
First of all, I also did a rewrite of kfp4, it's on my profile, so I'm going to talk about a part that isn't in this post...
here, Fenghuang is summoned from Oblivion by Chameleon's spell, and after having her Kung Fu stolen, she manages to escape with Tai Lung and Kai (here the trio is Tai Lung, Fenghuang and Kai, send Shen to shit) but later After running away, they separate and only meet again near the end of the "film" (in quotes because it is a rewrite, not a film)
but before this part, Tai meets with Shifu (why was he there? long story, but it's not important now, follow the dialogue)
Shifu: "Fenghuang is here too?? wait... do you know her..?"
Tai: "oh.. yes, well, heh, how can I say, I've known her since I set foot in the palace... she told me about her story... and went to talk to me all the days... I wish I had I talked to her more before we separated..."
Shifu: "..."
and now the reunion scene, it starts off cool, Fenghuang sees Tai and approaches slowly, a little embarrassed but brave, and Tai Lung, just waiting, with a smile
Fenghuang: "Lung.. how long isn't it?.."
Tai: "it was enough for me, hehehe, it didn't even take that long!"
Fenghuang: "heavens, look at you, last time you were my size, now look, four feathers taller, hehehe... I can already see that you've changed... you seem calmer"
Tai: "I wanted to say the same, but you still look the same"
Fenghuang: "oh Oblivion doesn't change anyone, boy, but.. tell me.. how was it there in the spiritual realm...?"
(ehh I don't know what else to put here, so, bye bye, tell me your opinion)
heeey! of course I remember you. I'm fine, I hope you are too. sorry for the long wait, I wanted to give as meaningful and thoughtful an answer as possible. I'm just sharing my opinion, so if you don't agree, that's okay.
I've read your other notes. and I liked the teams you divided the heroes into, Kai and the five sound the most interesting as dynamics. in fact, this division reminded me of the second part of puss in boots, where the teams were striving for the same goal.
I'm not really sure which direction tai and feng dynamics are going in your case. I don't see them being embarrassed by each other, because she gives the impression of a very confident person and tai lung is full of self-conceit. and it seems to me that they are not so much attached to each other as to the old days, of which they are just a part. she looks at tai lung and is overcome with sadness and longing, but not for him, but for the time she missed being in Oblivion. she has not changed at all, and therefore Tai lung, looking at her, clearly sees his past, the lonely times when his only friend in the palace was an owl mocking him, who secretly sneaked there.
for me, this is not a story about friends, but about two loners whose relationship was not equal (because due to his age and isolation from other children, tai could sincerely consider it friendship, and feng, due to disappointment, perceived it as some kind of sadistic entertainment and a way to vent her inner anger by making offensive comments in his direction), but equally important in order to cope with dark times. in a sense, forced comrades.
perhaps this is too gloomy, especially since it is a kind of rewriting of history and not turning it 180 degrees. but.. I just feel that way and I can't do anything about it х)
#kfp#kung fu panda#tai lung#fenghuang#my post#ask me#[ All in all I like the idea of a toxic camaraderie that has helped them in the past#who treat each other well and maybe even miss each other in part#but who also know that there must be a point here#perhaps feng deliberately left tai so that he would have at least some chance of salvation (but he didn't)]

What? I just realized both Word of Honor and Are You OK have 36 episodes in total!! I love both shows and books, okay? I'm checking WOH again because I'm thinking how their adaption is similar to Are You OK. Like how Zhou Zishu and Lou Zhu have questionable morals in the source material but was changed into somewhat Hero role model for the drama or donghua?
Tian Ya Ke (Faraway Wanderers) book: Antiheroes pair who understand each other, Someone who don't feel remorse in his crimes x Someone who avenge his parents for justice that turn him into monster Shan He Ling (Word of Honor) drama: Heroes who made mistake and trying to change their ways for better, Someone who's guilty of his crimes x Someone who avenge his parents but he did it in morally acceptable way
You Yao (Medicine) book: Antihero who only care about what benefit him x Son of a villain who aspire to become a hero just because he simply don't like his dad but later realized its his choice to be morally good for himself You Yao (Are You OK?) donghua: Coward Hero in denial who has character development x Son of a villain who aspire to become hero because its the morally right thing to do
Both pair have power imbalance if you look at them. WenZhou are Shidi and Shixiong in WOH. In Are You OK, not only LouZuo have 10 years age gap but they are also have master-bodyguard, childhood hero-aspiring hero and mentor-student dynamic. Though I think You Yao handle the communication part way better. Sure, both pairs have fight in the first half of story but Are You OK's LouZuo is in sync in the later part so it didn't became a continuous problem unlike WOH WenZhou.
Note: If you're not familiar with You Yao, it has a completed donghua and its a danmei with 4 gay couples but definitely not romance driven. Its still a love story but very plot driven. You get which are the gay pairs with implication but story don't really explore it much. The main story happened during Zuo Yunqi's teenage years and Lou Zhu is at his 20s but they are definitely the end game after story. In one of the extra story, they only meet again after 5 years of the the main story ending and they somehow developed a long distance but healthy relationship where they send letters to keep each other updated. Lou Zhu is actually very supportive of ZYQ becoming a good person despite Lou Zhu himself having questionable morals lol Like WenZhou to Chengling?
For example, when their partner is hiding something. Instead of hiding it from only one character, You Yao hide it to 3 people so they can talk to each other. All of them are sad that their partner are hiding something from them so they can relate. You know the feeling of failing an exam but when you found out your friends failed it too, you feel much better? Maybe that's why its easier to accept it while in WOH, I feel I'm betrayed by everyone together with ZZS?
When the secret was exposed instead of letting Zhou Zishu be angry because his anger is valid, the other supporting characters joined to defend Wen Kexing. Zhou Zishu said "I'm not asking you" to those characters because its between him and Wen Kexing. In Are You Ok, one of the character tell his problem alone. Lou Zhu let him talk and listen to him patiently. If you watch the donghua, you'll see Lin Kai looking at Lou Zhu when they heard Xie Liang's report but Lou Zhu gestured him to wait and let Xie Liang finish speaking first. Then he tell him to get the other 2 guys who have the same problem so he can explain what's going on to them in one go. I just love how considerate Lou Zhu is to their feelings of being left behind and sad to whatever's going on. He can interrupt them to be insensitive about it but he didn't do it. One of the thing that made me uncomfortable in WOH is the cast are laughing and celebrating except for Zhou Zishu. At least in Are You OK, the revelation scene is a serious matter. They are not laughing in this scene. Take note that these two scenario are not present in the original material.
Lastly, the scene based from original material that have consequences. Wen Kexing leaving for Ghost Valley and Zuo Yunqi leaving for Pangmen.
TYK: Wen Kexing say his farewell to Zhou Zishu that he need to go back to Mt. Fengya to fix things but assure he'll be back for Zhou Zishu's surgery. Despite that, ZZS was still worried because of what happened before with Liang Jiuxiao so he chase after WKX just in case. Zhou Zishu manage to save the wounded Wen Kexing at the right time before he was killed. WOH: Wen Kexing didn't explain his plans and actually hide things from Zhou Zishu just because he's afraid it will make Zhou Zishu worry. After Zhou Zishu learned Zhang Chengling found out WKX's true identity, he got worried so he chase after WKX. Wen Kexing probably planned it not expecting Zhou Zishu to get involved so the situation gone out of hand. Zhou Zishu after witnessing WKX's fake death, decided to throw away his life too and remove the nails on his body. They didn't expect ZZS will do this.
You Yao book: After Zuo Yunqi drugged the doctor and witnessed his dad dying in front of him since he gave him the antidote that killed his dad, ZYQ is at his wits end searching for a solution to Lou Zhu's problem and have no time explaining so he return to Pangmen hoping to get an answer. Lou Zhu learning what happened, he understood quickly where ZYQ has gone to and tell his people to look for him just in case. ZYQ was found and returned almost dying but he stated few words about a gift before losing consciousness. Lou Zhu knew exactly he's talking about ZYQ's first gift to him but he didn't know what he should do with it. He think deeply and think of the options available but later manage to figure out what ZYQ is trying to say. Later, they found out ZYQ can't do martial arts anymore as consequence yet he still choose to lead Pangmen to prevent his people from doing bad deeds and decided to be an expert in poison to help others by making antidote instead of using poison to harm others. Are You Ok donghua: After ZYQ drugged the doctor and learning from his dying dad the he might find the antidote that will not kill his dad in Pangmen, he left a note to Lou Zhu that he'll be back quickly before he gone to Pangmen. Lou Zhu was worried but he decided to put his trust so he order the people to get back to work and not to worry about Zuo Yunqi's sudden disappearance. ZYQ returned heavily wounded but not dying. ZYQ tells Lou Zhu that what he gave to Lou Zhu before he became his bodyguard might be helpful to their problem. He no longer can perform martial arts but that's fine because he became a nutritionist and transformed the Pangmen from bad sect to a good sect that sell medicine for good health.
In TYK, You Yao book and Are You OK donghua; you can still see the the different faces of trust of each pair except for WOH. I think WOH probably works more if Wen Kexing really almost died instead of faking his death and the stake after what happened is not that high aka ZZS removing his nails. I wish Wen Kexing tell him or Zhou Zishu understood quickly what Wen Kexing is trying to do. Zhou Zishu is dying as consequence so its understandable that its VERY painful to watch just because of wrong decision. Because Book Zuo Yunqi didn't also tell his plan to Lou Zhu so he has no choice but to trust Lou Zhu's understanding of him hoping he will figure it out on his own and Book Lou Zhu didn't fail him. So even if Zuo Yunqi didn't tell it to Lou Zhu he still has the "trust" that Lou Zhu will be fine on his own with few hints he left behind.
Other WOH and Are You OK similarities: Red and Blue Couple, Other one has pretty long white hair at the end of story, Has Secret ending (Yeah, I call the China Mainland only episode of You Yao a secret ending because International platform didn't have it)

My ideal female character types:
It’s the Month of Love, so I decided to just ramble and gush about the types of men and women I am attracted to in fiction. Ladies first:
The morally complicated badass lady. (From left to right: Juli Kidman from The Evil Within, and Naomi Kimishima form Trauma Center, Second Opinion)
Juli is a more recent example as I completed both TEW1 and TEW2 and to me, she’s the best blueprint for a morally complex character. Not to mention that she is attractive without having her design be trying way too hard to cause a boner like the typical bland skimpy bikini “outfit” with little to no substance. Plus she has a similar look to Helena Harper, and I already find Helena attractive, so seeing Juli only made it better. Also, the hair is magnificent. That aside, Juli working for MOBIUS and reluctantly doing their dirty work as well as being the MVP in TEW2 as much as that game gave me mixed feelings and saving Sebastian and Lily. Girl single-handedly saved a dad and his daughter all while taking out a corrupt organization like MOBIUS, how can you not love her?
Naomi Kimishima is also hella attractive. Whenever her levels popped up when I watched a playlist of someone’s Trauma Center playthrough, I would be excited because I loved her levels, her levels were my absolute favorite to play and because I love her design and her voice, like wow. Not to mention that she is one of the best doctors in the series. Not to mention that she briefly worked for the company that was guilty of spreading around the viral infection GUILT so that she could research the virus and get information on it. She even owns up to it and confesses it to Derek Stiles the other main character. She also gets bonus points because of the silver white hair and blue eyes. 👌🏽
Physically strong women with iconic weapons. (Left to right, Nariko from Heavenly Sword in fact she is my favorite female hero of all time hence my banner and Samus from Metroid)
Samus is a funny one because the only Metroid game I played was Prime on the Wii and that was it. I only know her because of Super Smash Bros. It was Brawl that revealed that Samus wasn’t a dude, it was a woman. And the way she looked in Smash Bros 4 and Ultimate? Best design. I also love how fit she looks. Fit and muscular women are so underrated it kind of makes me want to draw and write about more muscular woman. I can’t say too much about Samus since I only played Prime and did not finish it and I only played the Smash Bros games she appeared in, so that’s where this paragraph is gonna end.
Now Nariko, she is the best video game woman from the 2000’s. Not only is her design attractive in my opinion, but her personality and her strength are also attractive. The main focus was always on her strength. There were no gratuitous camera angles nor were there scenes that sexualized her, it just showed her personality through her dialogue and how fun the gameplay was. I love her determination, her protective and big sister-like nature towards Kai, and I love how selfless she is. Female characters like Nariko are now rare these days, which is sad because Nariko is a good example of what a strong female character can be.
I also just now realized that they both sport long ponytails, so that is a bonus point they both get.
The Ambitious Female Rival (I only came across this one that I liked which was Klara from Pokemon Sword and Shield because she is a toxic cutie):
When she was first revealed, I liked the fact that despite her cute demeanor, she was poison type and the fact that she was a DLC rival. By the way, GameFreak sucks for having her be a DLC rival instead of being in the main game! *ahem* Anyways, when I saw her design, I was like, “ooh, okay, I like it.”
When I saw her in the station with the Galarian Slowbro, I was like, “Okay, I like it even more…”
Then I get the DLC for Sword (because she’s in Sword), and she proceeds to be an arrogant, toxic, and ambitious rival who also tried to bribe me with better fashion picks for both the boutiques and salon. “I love you, you toxic and cute brat.”
I’m not kidding. That’s basically how I felt towards her. And then when she mellowed out, I was like, “Oh my god, can she get any cuter?” I’m glad that her toxic traits were slightly kept in after she redeemed herself and became a Poison type gym leader and I’m actually tempted to write content of her over on my A03 since I don’t see much content of her there that I like. She also doesn’t have a voice apparently, so I’m gonna make some voice claim suggestions in the future, but for now, in Sword, I like her. Her and Avery are WAY better rivals than Bede, like seriously, Bede can just retire as a fairy gym leader already, I just wanted him off my screen very quickly whenever I saw him.
And finally, the dominant and/or independent. AKA, Dominatrix vibes. (Left to Right: Bayonetta from… well, Bayonetta and Emma Frost from the X-Men comic series)
Bayonetta may cry not be a game I haven’t played yet, but either way, from what I have witnessed from her appearance in Super Smash Bros 4 and Ultimate, she does give me those vibes that she is dominant and independent, plus I love her sass in her taunts. The taunt feature is honestly made for her. And of course from clips I’ve seen of her (for research purposes) she can also be a troll towards this Luka guy who tries to make a move on her but it fails spectacularly on him. I also love her “if you want to learn how to talk to a lady, ask your mum” quote. That taunt alone tells you all about the type of character she is. Not to mention that she like the other women on here has a sexy design that doesn’t try extremely hard to turn the male audience on (because not every guy wants to see the one millionth skimpy bikini design on a female character).
Last is Emma Frost. I don’t read comics I only ever watched the shows and movies about comic book characters and I watch some of the information about said comic book characters on YouTube to learn more about them. With that in mind, Emma Frost is another recent lady I fell for and it’s because it’s both her design and character. Once again, a morally grey character that sometimes leans to the side of good, and she has cool powers and is intelligent. And as we all know, intelligence is attractive. I mean, she is a teacher after all. She is also protective of her students too, so that is another point from her. I really want Emma Frost to have her own movie, but then again, I know Hollywood is just gonna screw it up with cheap and ugly CGI for her diamond form and write her character so far off that they make her unlikable, which is a common mistake made with morally grey characters like Emma. So for now, in the movies and in the comics, she is great. Side note, I think Emma would look better with a platinum blonde hair color than the yellow-y blonde hair color, but that is a minor nitpick.
I know that the majority of these have been from video games so it’s weird to end it on a comic book character, but… 🤷🏽♀️
In general I’m attracted to feminine women. Feminine women are very attractive to me and I am also feminine. Hence why all of these women are femme than masculine, which there’s nothing wrong with masculine women, obviously, I’m just more attracted to the feminine girly ones.
The next one is gonna be about the guys + more women because there have been female crushes that also fell into the same category as those men.

fic author q&a
tagged by @zannolin <3 tysm!
why do you write fanfic?
i love everything about it. i love how immediate it is. i can just click post and people can see it. i love when people tell me their favorite part in the comments. i love having 100% creative control. i love having no deadlines. i love shouting something i'm proud of into the void and then getting a reply from somewhere halfway across the world in a mutual second language. i love building community with strangers over things we both love. it's the best.
which of your posted stories do you think of the most even though the story is "finished"?
probably there's daggers in men's smiles because that one has the biggest piece of my soul in it. i also think of anti-hero a lot but i'm still working on the sequel so I don't count it as "finished".
if you could give yourself fic advice from when you first started writing fic, what would that advice be?
if it's a multi-chapter, get to the 90-95% mark before you start posting. not only does this increase the likelihood of you actually finishing it and ending up with a completed story you're proud of, you'll also end up with a better final product because you can go back and edit earlier chapters once the later chapters are taking form and make the themes more cohesive.
what's your relationship to fic stats?
i like em. i used to track them obsessively when I was younger but honestly i have neither the time nor the motivation for that anymore. but it's nice to see a number and picture actual people. 25 kudos is abstract to me, i don't care about that. but realizing that 25 people looked at a project and went "nice. thanks for letting me read it" is wild to me. makes me really happy.
is there a pairing or scenario or friendship that you miss writing? if so, why? if not, why not?
yes and no. i used to read so much fanfic and write almost none, and now it's pretty much the opposite. so there isn't really a lot of content i'm "no longer writing" because there wasn't much for me to abandon in the first place. steve/bucky was my bread and butter ten years ago (how is the winter soldier ten years old already? wtf?) and i don't really see myself returning there, but i keep finding similar vibes in my newer projects and i'm really happy about that.
what motivates you to write?
i don't know how to stop. it's how i deal with being a person. wish i had a smart inspirational answer but that's what it is. it just happens. if i'm bored or sad or happy or tired or nervous, i write.
why do you write for the fandom(s) you write for?
i haven't fully understood why i write for some of my fandoms but not others. there's a lot of media that i adore and have never written a single word for (hannibal, the x files, ofmd, discworld...). often it's specifically the idea of "this character trait / this dynamic feels underutilized, I want to explore it further". cobra kai is a yarn drawer of messy but compelling character arcs that often go nowhere, and i like untangling the potential of them. star trek is comforting and it's good soil for planting angst, hope and humor plus an ensemble cast.
if you're stuck writing a WIP, what do you do?
work on a different one. i have so many and i'm always obsessed with at least one of them. sooner or later i'll have an idea for one of the older ones and then that's back on the menu again. i never force myself to work on something specific.
what do you wish people knew about comments?
a long unhinged comment is the key to my heart (as @zannolin who tagged me in this knows all too well), but i love each and every one so much. i love comments that are just a chain of emojis, comments that say nothing except 'how dare you', comments that dive into themes and metaphors. i love comments that tell me my fic made them laugh out loud, made them stay up too late, made them tell a non-fandom friend about it. there are so many different types of comments that make up the tapestry of a fun community, so please don't assume that there's a right way to leave a comment and the author will be disappointed or upset if you do it "wrong". i'm always worried my comments are not as funny / intelligent / memorable / observant as other people's comments and i hope i can take that fear away from other readers!
(also i try my best to reply fast but sometimes it takes a bit and i'm sorry! it doesn't mean i don't love your comment!)
maybe there's a question you wish had been on here. what's that question (and answer)? -> what are some writing challenges you're personally looking forward to?
writing more funny miscommunication and seeing how far I can push it. scenes that are set in darkness so I don't rely too much on describing visuals. maybe a mystery one day when i feel up for doing something plot-heavy.
tagging @vimesbootstheory @dykesynthezoid @russolaw @ficusin and @blinkasaurus and anyone else who wants to participate <3
thank you @zannolin for tagging me! love that i can always count on you to be just as unhinged about tdims as i am
