#I feel like the English translation is doing its utmost best to divorce Ratio from the word mediocre

I want to know more about the Intelligentsia Guild because we have so little info and we only know some low ranking NPCs and Dr Ratio who seems to not even belong to any Guild school of thought and like ??

- Poseman from Penacony says the Intelligentsia Guild pays more than the IPC (wow!)

- There are different schools and factions within the Guild, just like a university wow!

- Some people think the Council of the Mundanites is one of these factions and it's even listed in the wiki, but I'm unsure because this sounds like a self deprecating joke by Dr Ratio.

Only him and Aventurine ever mention this thing in conversation and both of those times they were dissing each other (Ratio saying Aventurine suits the Council of the Mundanites like no other (i.e. you really are the most Mediocre), while Aventurine is all 'Wow the Genius from the Council of the Mundanites wants to claim my corpse? I am honoured' which tbf is probably half true but also a Genius from a Group of Mediocre people isn't really much of anything at all)

So honestly I could be wrong, but it doesn't sound like it exists as a real thing? Like if it's a movement, it sounds like the opposite of being an Aesthete or something.

- Yabuli being called the de facto controller of the Guild is a political thing, claimed by the politically savvy Xianzhou alliance.

They don't even say she's the leader, but the controller (and let's not forget the words de facto there). Which makes sense because as the IPC Head of Technology and the IPC being the main source of income for the Guild, Yabuli pretty much can decide what kind of research the Guild can afford to do.

Her actual connection to the Guild (like is she considered a Guild member and does she belong to a school) is debatable. (From what Ratio said in 1.6 she seems to be considered more IPC.)

- And once again we ponder the 'is the Intelligentsia Guild a part of the IPC?' And in my mind they're like kissing cousins. The annoying thing is Aventurine draws a line between the Guild and the IPC but Ratio doesn't (tbf Ratio probably doesn't give a fuck because it's all the same to him)
