I need cuteness, and I'm obsessed with this show lately, and Aramis is my baby (that was easy to guess, I have a type, I can't deny it, my blog is filled with proof) so here we go…

Affection : What are those little things they do to show you that they love you?

 Aramis is a natural charmer, we all know it. And when people say that he is the romantic of the group, it's 100% true. Now that being said, there is no cliché serenade to expect, but he can show his affection through little things: holding hands, brushing the back of his fingers across your cheek, pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear… But the most common ones are the kisses he drops on your temples and on the back of your hands. He does it all. the. time.

He also does have sweet words for you and never fails to compliment you and acknowledge your accomplishments, whatever they may be.

But what gives him away the most is the way he looks at you. He has this tender glint in his eyes and this softest expression whenever he stares at you that he can't control. And the Musketeers make fun of him for it, but none of you care. His eyes just give away all he could try to hide…

 Birthday : What do they do to celebrate your birthday? What is the thing you need to do make them happy on their birthday? Are they good at giving gifts?

 For your birthday, he'll take you out of Paris, so you can be alone for the day. It's supposed to be one day dedicated only to you, and if you ask him for a favour, he will never refuse (not that he is usually so good at saying you to no at all, but for that day it's even worse than usual).

 Aramis knows you better than yourself, much better than he knows himself too. He never fails to offer you a present that you will like, and often that you have desired for a while, but never bought nor told him about. He just notices the signs and, in time, buys the object for you.

 He will obviously get very drunk celebrating his birthday with the rest of the Musketeers, and it's a tradition you could never break, even if you wanted to. But as long as Porthos fires upon melons and not on Aramis's head, all is fine. He does spend some time with you during the rest of the day though, and generally, after the party with his friends, he comes to see you. He is so drunk that he merely falls asleep by your side and, most of the time, he doesn't remember clearly how he got to your place when he wakes up the next morning with a headache. But the lazy morning that follows, he wants to spend it only with you.

  Cuddles : Do they like to cuddle? Big spoon? Little spoon?

 When you're home together, after a long day filled with danger and battles, there is nothing better to sooth his mind than lie down in bed with you. Not in a sexual way (or well, also in a sexual way, but that's not the point I want to make here), but just the two of you holding on each other tightly, talking about your day and his.

 If he is troubled, he generally rests his head on your laps when you're sitting, or on your stomach when you're lying down as well, and you talk about what worries him while you run your fingers through his dark hair.

 After he comes back from a dangerous mission, with bruises and cuts all over his body, he's the one holding you close all night. Because even when you remain silent, he knows how much you were worried about him, so he keeps you close to reassure you and make sure that you know that no matter what could happen out there, he would always come back to you.

 Dating : What are they like on their first date? And those after that?

 You become friends before being lovers, and the situation doesn't switch because he starts courting you. You fall in love through this friendship that unites the two of you, and after finally confessing your feelings for each other, you smoothly slip to a loving relationship.

You merely spend time together, sometimes disappearing outside of Paris whenever Aramis is off-duty. But as long as the two of you are together, you don't really care about where you are.

 Evolution : How fast does your relationship evolves? Weeks, months, years?

 As I've mentioned, you are first friends, and then become lovers. You spend years as friends before circumstances force you to confess your real feelings for each other. And even if the transition from friends to lovers is smooth, you both are willing to take things slow.

 Flirting : Do they flirt a lot?

 Aramis has charisma to spare. He has had a lot of lovers, but not because he just keeps on constantly flirting, more because he is naturally charming. He will make a few remarks to tease you, but before you walk the streets together as a couple, you can't say that he is flirty, or at least not with a serious tone. You are friends after all, and he values your friendship and respects you too much for behaving in any other way.

 Generosity : When they're with you, is it about you or about them?

 In a relationship, you should both blossom. And if being with you makes him happy beyond measures, he wants you to feel the same. He genuinely cares about you and would do anything to bring you the joy you deserve. He will always take care of you.

 Honey : Do they use pet names? What's their favourite for you and for themselves?

 His absolute favourite is 'my love'. And when he uses it for the first time, it makes your heart burst with affection. In public, he generally calls you simply by your name, but whenever he tries to convince you of something (like… not getting involved in something dangerous to help him and the Musketeers) he switches to this affectionate name and it doesn't fail to get under your skin. He does use this cute name when the two of you are alone as well.

 Isolation : How do they react when they are away from you?

 His duties often draw him away from you for several days, sometimes weeks. You worry about him a lot, and he knows it, so whenever he can, he writes to you. But most of the time, his missions require secrecy, and he cannot take the risk to send you letters. So you do worry, and time never diminishes the feeling.

 He misses you a lot when he is away, and when he comes back, he wants to spend as much time with you as possible. He makes sure to ask one or two of his Musketeer friends to watch over you while he is away. If he can't protect you himself, he will charge someone he trusts to ensure your safety.

 Jealousy : Are they jealous? How do they react if you are jealous?

 If he is jealous, he acts like he isn't. In front of you, at least. When you're not together yet, he won't say a word, and wear a mask that is only betrayed by the flame in his dark brown eyes that appears whenever this other man is near you. He will inquire about this man who finds so much interest in you, and if he finds that he can't be trusted he will have a… passionate discussion with him. If his rival is an honourable man though, there is little he can do. After all, the choice is yours, he has no rights over you and at the end of it all, he merely wants to see you happy. He cannot control the way he feels for you, and he cannot help himself from hating this man who might win your heart, but as long as you are happy, he will not try to break your relationship with this man.

If he hurts you though, Aramis will make sure he will never do it again.

 Now, if you are together, that's a little different, and he will make sure to show that indeed, you are not single and the man should back away before he makes an enemy for himself out of a very combative Musketeer. But again, he will not show you his feelings, and he trusts your loyalty with his life. He doesn't put the blame on you.

 Kisses : Lots of them? Peppering ones? Languid ones?... What about your first kiss?

 Oh… his kisses are pure sin. I've mentioned that he often kisses your hands and your temples, these are his preferred signs of affection. He often drops kisses in your hair as well. But let's be honest, his passionate kisses drive you crazy… and perhaps it's because no matter how passionate his kisses are, you can always feel the love he pours into them, and they taste like a silent declaration.

 Light up : What do they do to make you feel better after a rough day? How can you lighten their mood?

 Honesty is so important in your relationship. You have no secrets for each other. So if you're feeling down, he will pour you a glass of brandy, sit with you, and listen to whatever is troubling you. You will speak about it all, he will advise you and reassure you and support you, whatever the problem might be. He'll try to find a solution to make things better, and will answer earnestly, which also means frankly telling you if you are wrong or write about the whole thing.

 If he feels down, you only can be there for him, the same way he is there for you. Listening to him, holding him… it's more than enough. You're all that he truly needs after all.

 Mommy : How do they react to parenthood?

 Aramis is such an amazing father. He loves children and he is fantastic with them. He's patient and kind and loving, and he will make sure that they receive all the affection and wisdom that they need. One of your favourite sights is him pacing across the room, holding your baby and humming a sweet lullaby to put the child to sleep.

 He will tell them all about his adventures with the Musketeers, and fill their little heads with acts of bravery and excitement. He teaches them to ride, and to fight, and to shoot, no matter if the child is a boy or a girl. He teaches them to live with honour and respect towards others. Of course, as he believes in God, he takes them to church and is the one who teaches them about religion as well, when you teach them how to read and write and count mostly – even if he does give you a hand on this matter as well.

 And well, the children's uncles are up to teach them about swords and stories too… to a point where you come to wonder if they have a good influence on them, making them more reckless than your mother heart would like them to be. But at the end of the day, the Musketeers are there to get your children out of trouble.

 As a conclusion, Aramis is a loving father who would do anything for his family.

 Nurse : How do they take care of you when you're sick? How do they behave when they are sick?

 He has medical knowledge brought by his years spent fighting, but that is where his skills end. He will stay by your side if you are sick, bathe your forehead with a wet clothe and take care of you as long as you have to stay in bed. If he is called for a mission, he asks Constance to stay with you and will come back to see how you are feeling as soon as he can. Once you're feeling better and you are out of danger, he might make a little fun of the way you speak when you have a cold, just to be playful.

 When he is sick, on the other hand, he acts as if all were fine. He may have fever and feel terrible, he will still dress up and take his place at the garrison as if nothing were wrong. Only when he is too weak to stay on his feet does he accept to rest and to let you take care of him.

 Objects : Are there any object, song, place that have a particular meaning for them or for the two of you as a couple?

 One day, before he has to leave for several weeks for one of the most perilous missions he had to face, you give him a bracelet that you had inherited from your grandmother, to bring him luck. He never takes it off, and when one day he loses it as he trained with D'Artagnan and Porthos in the garrison, he spends two full hours looking for it.

 When he's thinking, lost in thought or waiting before a fight during a mission, he often let his fingers travel across the silvery thread. He also does the gesture when he misses you, it never fails to make him feel like you're by his side again.

 Partners : Are they looking for flings, one-night stands, partners to be with until their last breath? What makes them fall for you?

 Your kindness and compassion, along with your courage and your intelligence slowly turn the friend he sees in you into something more. He trusts you, knows that you are always honest with him, and this is some key element for him.

 He never sees you as a fling, as I've mentioned before, you first are friends it seems obvious to both of you that you cannot be both intimate and just friends, so the question never stands. It's all or nothing. That's also why you spend such a long time as friends even though you already share feelings for each other, because he would rather be your friend than lose you altogether. When the two of you decide to take a step forward, it's you and only you.

 Quarrels : How is it to have a fight with them? What do they do to make you forgive them? What do you need to do to make them forgive you?

 Generally, Aramis is a patient man and, if you do bicker over stupid things like every loving couples, he doesn't get truly angry easily. For him to raise his voice, it takes a lot of fear or anger. And then it's like a storm passing on a calm ocean.

 Most of the time, when you get really angry at each other, it's all about one of the two of you taking risks or being reckless. A few days to let the anger wane away and all is soon forgotten. If one of you keeps a secret though, that's another story, as your relationship relies on your honesty, to both of you. Time is always the best of healers, but in this latter case, the culprit will have to gain back the other's trust.

 Rings : How do they propose? The wedding? The honeymoon?

 This mission is pure hell. He is certain that he will not survive. All along, he keeps on thinking that he will never have the chance to see you again. His eyes keep on falling again and again on this bracelet of yours, and he makes this vow to himself that if he can come out of this nightmare alive, he will spend the rest of his life with you.

And when he indeed escapes alive, wounded but breathing, the first thing he does is hurrying back to your home, so he can at last hold you tightly in his arms. His lips are against your ear, his hand cradling your head when he asks you to be his forever.

 You get married with only your closest friends by your sides. Constance helps you with your dress and everything that needs preparation. The party is held at the garrison, and the Musketeers make sure you all have a nice time. And they are glad to congratulate you and admit that they are both proud and happy that you and Aramis have a chance to build a happy life together.

 A honeymoon is a difficult thing to get when you marry a Musketeer. He does get a couple of days off-duty, but let's be honest, trouble follows wherever the two of you go, and these two days are everything but relaxing. Do you care though? Absolutely not, you married a Musketeer, it's the life you chose.

 Secrets : Do they keep secrets from you and how do they react when they learn that you've been hiding something from them?

 As I've mentioned before, your relationship relies on trust and honesty. A lie or a secret can make a lot of damage in your relationship, and it will take a lot of efforts to repair what was broken.

 Tease : Do they like to tease you? How much humour is there in your relationship?

 Aramis is funny and sassy. You will not be spared his teasing remarks and funny answers, to your delight. It is one of his traits that you adore. And he also loves your sense of humour. So yes, there's teasing phrases and fun in your relationship.

 U-turns : What can transform your relationship in a good or bad way (what makes them confess their feelings or scares them off)?

 Coming close to losing you, there is nothing else that will shake his hesitation away. Either because you escape from death, or because another man almost stole your heart, he has to face the truth that he might not keep you in his life forever. And perhaps, if your time together is counted, it is worth taking the risk to tell you the truth, instead of keeping you as a friend. And indeed, it is worth it.

 Again, the worst you can do is damage the trust he has in you, and this could break everything.

 Voicing : How hard is it for them to talk about their feelings? How do they tell you that they love you for the first time?

 Once he has finally admitted his feelings for you, he has no trouble speaking to you. He does compliment you, and he does tell you how much he loves you and cares. If he doesn't do it every day, it doesn't matter, after all, the look in his eyes speaks more truly than words.

 Widow : What if they lose you (death or breakup) ?

 If you are separated because of life itself, and not death, then he may never forget you, but will accept his fate as long as he knows that you are happy. If he is ready to fight for you, his first concern is your happiness, and he will respect your decision if you decide that you should be apart.

 If you die, well… religion will be calling for him again, and it is likely that he will decide to exchange the garrison for a monastery as a home. At least for a while. Indeed, your death means that his whole life is turned upside-down. If he had always hesitated between God and soldiery, and had always found himself quite lost, you are his compass. You are the steady anchor he can rely on, one thing on this Earth that he considers as a certainty. And this is why the realization of losing you can change your relationship fast, but also why, once he has lost his Northern Star, he cannot find his way through the night. And a radical change in his life is a necessity then, or he will never find his way out of the maze he creates in his own mind.

 Yielding : What do you have to do to convince them to do what you want?

 As long as you are not asking for the moon and sun, it is pretty easy to convince him to do something that you want. A little pout can help. But he longs so much to see you happy that he is often glad to grant you your wishes.

 Zoo : Could they have a pet with you? What kind of pet?

 Well, obviously, he rides a horse… does that count as a pet?
